Eagon serves as the Goblin King's aide and oversees the education of Algol, Meia, and the goblins of Moria. He had an exceptional interest in man's knowledge and skills from a young age, and his love for reading has given him a much higher proficiency with words than others of his kind. Eagon is one of the few older goblins who were alive during the reign of the first king, Goran, and he has witnessed the different eras his kind has lived through.
His peculiar ideas have caused other goblins to shy away from him; as a result, he wandered from horde to horde before arriving at Moria and meeting Algol's father, which led him to settle on the island. After that, the two established their own horde and taught young goblins how to live peacefully with man. However, when his friend inherited the Diadem and began to change, Eagon could do nothing but succumb to the king's false vision for goblinkind. In the end, he determined himself to be guilty of the same crime as the king and chose to be kept in custody by the Menean Empire.
