A mercenary swordsman known as "Rakan of the Thousand Blades," he once saved the world as part of Ala Rubra alongside Negi's father Nagi. His outrageous combat abilities have earned him various monikers such as "That Living Computer Bug of a Man," "The Man Who Won't Die," "The Immortal Idiot," and "Hey, Um, Our Swords Won't Go Through That Guy. Seriously." Generally tactless and prone to behavior bordering on harassment, he gets along well with the ermine elf Chamomile.
