The third son of the famous Zoldyck family of assassins, as well as Gon's best friend. Originally entering the Hunter Exam out of boredom, his encounter with Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio inspired him to leave his assassin life behind and become a Hunter. He now travels to discover his own purpose while helping Gon search for his father. His quick wit frequently serves to keep the fiery Gon in check, though he just as often uses it for pranks and schemes.
