Go Get'em Gal[edit]

Uzuki could not fathom how someone could be summoned to a different world. Uzuki finally came to understand (Captain) and company’s situation after having had it explained multiple times. Uzuki looks rather depressed after learning of the Empire and its evil deeds, but quickly recovered and once again took on a cheerful expression. Because everyone else was smiling she decided she wanted to do her best, and asked if there was any way she could help.

Uzuki, who had joined the party during their travels, had the situation in which the party found itself explained to her.
Lyria: Hahaha... In that situation they could bail us out when we are being chased by soldiers. Right? (Captain).
Vyrn: Ack... Somehow, I’m surprised. Those imperial soldier scumbags have come to attack us, no questions asked...
Uzuki: I see... Such an evil Empire exists.
Vyrn: Ah... There is no limit to the Empire’s capacity for evildoing.
Uzuki: So my role is that of a hero?
Vyrn: Hm?
Uzuki: Now I get it! I will put on a splendid performance in my role as a hero! Please be the audience for my show!
Vyrn: Well... It’s not exactly an acting job...
Uzuki: So will there be publicity stills of the scene? I’ll do my best when the director says... “Action!”
Vyrn: Naturally you don’t know anything!
Lyria: Um... Um... If this is not a play or something...
Uzuki: Then... (Captain) and friends really are fighting with that evil Empire?
Vyrn: Damn right! So now you finally get it?
Uzuki: All right, so that country really is doing evil things... So it’s true, not just innuendo...
Lyria: Yes...
Uzuki: So there really, truly is something horrible going on?
Vyrn: Hey, don’t get so depressed over it! Even if the Empire attacks us you’ll be safe as long as (Captain) and I are here!
Vyrn: And... According to Rin, the world where Uzuki and the others lived was a world without monsters and primal beasts, correct?
Vyrn: Therefore, even if they are traveling with us, commanding girls who came here from such a world to take up swords and fight...
Uzuki: I’ll do my best!
Lyria: What?
Uzuki: It’s just like Mr. Vyrn says. The world where I lived is totally different from this one. It had neither swords nor sorcery...
Uzuki: Therefore, it might be a little difficult for us to become instant heroes like you described.
Uzuki: However, having a smile on my face is my specialty! Therefore, I'll do my best! So that everyone else can smile, too!
Lyria: Haha... yes! I think it is terribly important for everyone to be able to have smiles on their faces.
Uzuki: Before I came to this world, I only knew the magic trick to making everyone smile!
Uzuki: My producer taught me the marvelous magic that would make me sparkle...
Uzuki: Therefore, if there is anything I can do, please let me help!
  1. Thank you
  2. Just leave everything to us

Choose: Thank you
Uzuki: Yes! I’ll do my best so that everyone can always be smiling!

Choose: Just leave everything to us
Uzuki: Leave it to us! I’ll stay focused and do my best!
Continue 1
Vyrn: So then... There was someone who could use magic in the world where you lived...
Vyrn: Your producer, you said? What kind of person is that? A rather renowned mage?
Uzuki: Ah... Not exactly someone who could use sorcery...
Uzuki: However, he was a very important person who helps you pursue your dreams!
Uzuki chatted away happily, flashing her dazzling smile all the while.

A Superstar in the Sky[edit]

Shocked that pop idols didn't exist in the skydoms, she decided to show the world what a star was by taking to the stage and performing a show herself. The party made plans to set up the event, but were attacked by monsters before they could finish.

Uzuki: Whaaat!? T-There aren't any pop idols in this world...!?
Vyrn: Well... we've never heard of them, at least.
Uzuki: B-But then who sings songs here...?
Lyria: Umm... that would be the bards...
Uzuki: Then, how about people that dance to music...?
Vyrn: Oh, you mean dancers! I usually see them at festivals and the like.
Uzuki: B-But...
Lyria: U-Umm... we live in different worlds so some things are bound to be different, right?
Uzuki: Uuh... maybe...
Uzuki: B-But that just means I have to show everyone what a pop idol is, right?
Uzuki: I'll do my best so the world can see what pop idols are all about!
Uzuki: First we need to organize a show! I better start getting things ready...
Uzuki: I need to find a stage like my producer used to, and umm, oh I need a mic...
Monster: Grrrr...
Vyrn: What the...hey! We got company! Let's take care of these monsters first!
Uzuki: O-okay! Is it clean up time first!? I'll do my best!

A Superstar in the Sky: Scene 2[edit]

Uzuki organizes a live show to introduce pop idols to the citizens of the skydoms. Oh the day of the event, only one young girl shows up in the audience. Pulling herself together, she prepares to start her performance but they get interrupted by a monster attack.

Uzuki: Whew... did we do it? Looks like the village is safe!
Villager 1: Thank you so much. As always, skyfarers can be counted on!
Villager 2: That's right! I don't know what would have happened to us if the skyfarers hadn't saved us...
Vyrn: Don't worry about it! Helping people in need is part of our job!
Vyrn: Well? You said you have an announcement to make, Uzuki.
Uzuki: Yes! I wanted everyone to know about pop idols, so I thought I'd do a show...
And so Uzuki notifies the villagers of the show. The big day arrives... however...
Vyrn: Sigh... should have seen this coming but... no one's here.
Uzuki: W-Well, this is just the first show after all! But I didn't think no one would show up...
Uzuki: Sigh... I thought I'd get to show everyone what a pop concert is like...
Lyria: Ah! Wait, look! That girl's coming this way!
A young girl was approaching from the direction Lyria was pointing.
Uzuki: Ah... thank you! Are you here to see the show? I'll do my best!
Little Girl: Actually... That show... thing? That's not what I'm here for.
Uzuki: What? Uhh, then, why did you...?
Little Girl: Umm... I don't know what a pop idol is, so I thought maybe you could teach me...
Uzuki: ...Oh! Then I'll give you the best show I can, so just watch, learn, and enjoy yourself!
Uzuki: Okaay! Then without further ado...
Monster: Grrrr...
Uzuki: Oh... before we do that, we need to clean up again! Vyrn! Let's do it! (Captain)!

A Superstar in the Sky: Scene 3[edit]

And so, the show came to a close. The little girl was more fascinated by Uzuki's fighting prowess than her singing performance. Although it wasn't her original goal, nothing made Uzuki happier than being someone the little girl could look up to. Uzuki was eager to fulfill her new goal of becoming a pop idol that could sing, dance...and fight!

The party defeated the monsters, and Uzuki's show was a success.
Lyria: Hehe... that little girl looked like she had so much fun!
Vyrn: Yeah! But... she seemed more impressed by you when you were fighting than when you were on stage...
Uzuki: That's okay. Because I saw that sparkle in her eyes... she was just like me when I was a little girl.
Uzuki: Just like me... when I first went to a show and became fascinated by pop idols...
Uzuki: My efforts weren't in vain after all!
Uzuki: I've decided to become a pop idol that can sing, dance and fight!
Uzuki: I think that's the best way to put a smile on this world!
With newfound determination, Uzuki continues her journey.
Her ambition would bring life to new dreams that will spread across the skydoms.

Just a Regular Smile[edit]

In her adventures across the Sky Realm, Uzuki meets so many unique individuals overflowing with personality that she begins to think she may be lacking the individuality needed to truly shine as a pop idol. Just as (Captain) and company are listening to her concerns, a loud scream pierces the sky, and the crew rushes to the scene.

During a trip into town to purchase supplies, the crew notices Uzuki is not her usual, cheerful self.
She's been deep in thought about something all day. Eventually, Lyria approaches her.
Lyria: Um, Uzuki-san? Is something the matter? You know you can come to us if something's bothering you, right?
Uzuki: Huh? Oh, I'm sorry. It's nothing, really…
Uzuki: I was just thinking, I'm so average, so normal. Maybe a little too normal…
Lyria: Huh? Why do you think that?
Uzuki: Traveling with (Captain)-san and the rest of you has given me the chance to meet all kinds of people in this world.
Uzuki: Everyone seems so distinctive, they really stand out. They're nothing like the people in my world.
Uzuki: I'd really like to be successful as a pop idol in this world.
Uzuki: So I thought, maybe I should stand out more so I don't get overlooked next to all these amazing people…
Vyrn: Hm, I see… But you know, I'd say you already stand out pretty well.
Uzuki: No, I'm nothing special. When I buy fortunes at New Years I get "average luck" every single year.
Vyrn: Every year, huh? Is that not normal?
Lyria: Ha ha… I agree with Vryn, though. I'm sure you can be a very succesful pop idol, Uzuki-san.
Uzuki: Really?
???: Aaargh!
Vyrn: What was that? Somebody screamed!
Sensing danger, the crew hurries to investigate.
Following the sound of the screams, they discover an enraged man pursuing a trembling group of people.
Brute: Come back here! I want my money back!
Timid Young Man: Um… You didn't give us any money…
Brute: Don't give me any lip! You should be paying me for making me sit through that!
Vyrn: Whoa, that guy's really blown a fuse…
Uzuki: W-We have to stop him! Who knows what he'll do to those poor people!
Brute: Huh? What's you problem? Don't try to get in my way!

Just a Regular Smile: Scene 2[edit]

It was a fledgling of the circus troupe who was being picked on. (Captain) and company decide to watch the show for themselves, but witness failure after failure. To make matters worse, the crew must quell the raging beast that somehow makes it out of its cage.

The crew defeats the brute and send him on his way.
Uzuki: Are you all OK? Is anyone hurt?
Timid Young Man: Yes, we're fine… Thank you so much. You saved us…
Uzuki: What a relief… Why was that guy so angry at you, anyway?
Trembling Man: Well, you see… He saw our show, and I guess he didn't like it too much…
Timid Young Man: We're a circus troupe, although we're still kinda new at it…
The mumbling young man admits he is the ringmaster of this rather uninspiring troupe.
Nervous Woman: Things just never seem to go our way… We finally got someone to watch us, but he got so angry…
Uzuki: Well, whatever kind of show you put on, I'm sure it was nothing to get that mad about…
Vyrn: Yeah! In fact, if your show affected him that much, I kinda want to see it for myself.
Lyria: Yes, I'm rather curious myself…
Timid Ringmaster: Um… We can show you our act if you want… Just promise you won't get mad?
Uzuki: Of course we won't! You can trust us!
Reassured by Uzuki's kind demeanor, the troupe begins performing.
Trembling Juggler: I take this knife so, and… Hah!
The juggler loses control and sends his knife flying toward Uzuki and the others.
Uzuki: Yaaah!
Vyrn: Whoa, watch where you're throwing that thing!
Trembling Juggler: I'm sorry… My hand slipped…
Nervous Magician: All right… I will now attempt to conjour up burning ice…before your very eyes…
The magician describes a magic circle in the air. A block of ice appeared and gradually becomes wreathed in flames. However…
Nervous Magician: Argh! Urgh, I'm so sorry… Something went wrong…
Timid Ringmaster: Well, last up is me… For what it's worth, I'm kind of a beast tamer…
Feeble "Beast": Gururr…
Uzuki: Aw, it's so cute! Is that little thing really a beast?
Vyrn: Yeah, "beast" isn't the word I'd use to decribe it. Don't you have any others?
Timid Ringmaster: We do have one other beast… But it's so ferocious that we prefer to keep it in its cage…
Vyrn: It's supposed to be a beast, of course it's going to be ferocious.
Vyrn: That said, if it's in this circus I can't imagine it's anything too dangerous.
Nervous Magician: Argh! Ringmaster! The cage… The cage is…
Fercious Beast: GROOOAR!
Vyrn: Wow, now that's what I call a beast!
Uzuki: It looks really fierce, doesn’t it?
Vyrn: Hey, don't just stand there! Do something about that monster!

Just a Regular Smile: Scene 3[edit]

The ringmaster mutters that it may be time for them to call it quits. But encouraged by Uzuki's perky attitude, incredible singing, and cheerful smile, he decides to stick it out. Being able to bring about such positive change in the ringmaster tells Uzuki that pop idols can thrive just fine even in the Sky Realm.

Timid Ringmaster: You saved us again. I'm truly sorry for all the trouble we've caused you…
Vyrn: Don't mention it. That show of yours really was awful, though.
Timid Ringmaster: I'm sorry… Once, we dreamed of becoming the most famous troupe in all the sky.
Timid Ringmaster: Hah… I guess in the end it was nothing more than a dream. Perhaps it's time we gave up…
Uzuki: Don't say that! You can't give up now!
Timid Ringmaster: Huh?
Uzuki: I thought you were wonderful. You were all shining!
Nervous Magician: Uh… I don't quite understand what you mean.
Uzuki: Well, I can't put it into words very well… But I could tell you were giving it your all.
Uzuki: Even when you run into trouble, you can't let it get in the way of your dreams, right?
Trembling Juggler: Yes, that's exactly right… How is it that you understand these things?
Uzuki: Because I'm the same as you! I have a dream that I can't give up on, too.
Timid Ringmaster: You do? Just who are you?
Uzuki: My name is Uzuki Shimamura. And I'm a pop idol!
Trembling Juggler: A…"pop idol?"
Uzuki: Oh, right, you probably don't know what that is…
Uzuki: I know, let me sing you a song! That's the best way to show you what a pop idol does!
Uzuki's face lights up as she launches into a performance.
Her joyous smile and charming voice touch the hearts of all present.
When Uzuki's song comes to an end, the entire circus troupe applauds enthusiastically.
Nervous Magician: That was so moving… Somehow I feel more carefree than before…
Timid Ringmaster: Uzuki-san… You were so full of joy and life, it truly was as if you were shining…
Timid Ringmaster: I'm not ready to give up just yet… What do you say, guys? How about we keep going?
Trembling Juggler: Yeah! This is no time to lose heart! We just have to stick with it…
Nervous Magician: You're right! I want to shine on stage, just like Uzuki-san does!
Seeing the troupe's confidence restored, a gentle smile dances across Uzuki's face.
Vyrn: Heh heh. See, Uzuki? Your smile really does set you apart from everyone else!
Uzuki: M-My smile…?
Lyria: That's right! Your dazzling smile is enough to cheer anyone up!
Timid Ringmaster: I think so, too… It's like your smile has worked some kind of magic on us.
Timid Ringmaster: All the stress and worry that was getting me down has totally disappeared. Ha ha ha!
Uzuki: Hee hee… Stop it, you guys, I'll get embarrassed if you keep saying things like that…
Uzuki: (Wow, even in this strange new world, I can still make people happy…)
Uzuki: (I can still be a pop idol and shine on stage!)
Timid Ringmaster: Um, Uzuki-san, if you don't mind, I have a request…
Timid Ringmaster: If we ever let our failures and setbacks get to us again…would you come and encourage us like you did today?
Uzuki: Yes, of course! I'll cheer for you with all my might!
Nervous Magician: Thank you! Uh, I wonder…could we hear you sing again, Uzuki-san?
Uzuki: Hee hee, sure! One more song before we go!
Once again, Uzuki's sprited performance provides some much-needed relief.
Inspired by Uzuki's songs and smile, the circus troupe pursues their dreams with renewed vigor.
Unbeknownst to them, after becoming a success they would face an even greater challenge in the not-so-distant future…

Light Up the Dream[edit]

A circus ringmaster once asked Uzuki to perform on their stage. The trio has a reunion with the ringmaster and in watching the troupe's performance, Uzuki ponders the possibility of performing with a monster herself. She gently approaches one to test the idea, but is instead attacked.

Uzuki receives a letter from the circus ringmaster she met not long ago.
In it, he thanks Uzuki for all her help, and invites her to perform with the troupe at their next show.
After reading the letter, Uzuki falls into deep thought, and calls Mio and Rin into the room.
Uzuki: Guys, I was thinking… How about we all do a concert?
Mio: Ooh, sounds like fun! It's been a while since all three of us performed together!
Rin: Hee hee, it's rare for you to suggest something like this, Uzuki. What gave you the idea?
Uzuki: Well, it's like this…
Uzuki tells the others about the circus troupe.
Rin: I see, so that's what's got you so pumped.
Mio: That's awesome, Shimamu! Your smile saved a whole troupe!
Mio: OK, let's get going and meet your friends from the circus!
The three make their way to where the troupe are currently staying.
Ringmaster: Oh, Uzuki-san! It's so good to see you again!
Uzuki: Long time no see! These two are my friends, they're pop idols from the same agency as me.
Mio: Hi there, I'm Mio Honda. It's great to meet you!
Rin Shibuya: Hello, I'm Rin Shibuya. It's nice to meet you.
Ringmaster: It's wonderful to meet all of you!
Ringmaster: I must introduce you to the other members of my troupe…
Ringmaster: Ah, how about this? You can watch us rehearse our acts, we'll introduce ourselves that way.
Vyrn: Great idea! You guys are famous now, right? I'd love to see how you've improved.
Juggler: OK, I'm the first one up! Here I go!
Magician: Hee hee, and I'm next! I hope you enjoy it!
The juggler and magician both put on a spectacular show.
Juggler: Watch me!
Magician: Yeah!
The crew is astonished by the flawless, high-quality performance.
Mio: Whoa! That was so cool! I can't believe he juggled all those swords!
Rin: The magic show was really impressive, too. It was like watching fireworks made of ice. I wonder how she did it?
Ringmaster: Ha ha ha! I'm glad you're having fun so far. Now it's time for the finale!
The Ringmaster steps forward. The same beast that had been so ferocious before now heeds his every command.
Uzuki: Wow! That's amazing, Ringmaster-san!
Ringmaster: Thank you, thank you. It's all thanks to your support that we've come so far, Uzuki-san.
Ringmaster: It would be an honor to perform alonside you. Let's make this show a success!
Uzuki: Yeah! This will be the best show ever!
The meet-and-greet concluded, the different performers spend the next few days rehearsing.
After a rigorous rehearsal with Rin and Mio, Uzuki comes up with a new plan.
Uzuki: (Since we're going to be performing with the circus troupe, shouldn't I do something a bit more… circus-y?)
During a break from practising her number, Uzuki makes her way to an area where monsters are known to dwell.
Monster: Grrr…
Uzuki: (If I could sing and dance with a monster like the ringmaster does…)
Uzuki gingerly approaches a timid-looking monster.
Monster: Grwr?
Uzuki: Uh, hey there, little fella…
Monster: Groooar!
Uzuki: Yaaah!
Lyria: Huh? Wasn't that Uzuki-san?
Uzuki: Yaaah! I-I just can't do it!
Vyrn: Whoa, there's a monster chasing her! Quick, we've gotta do something!

Light Up the Dream: Scene 2[edit]

Uncertain of what to do next now that his dream has been fulfilled, the ringmaster decides to make the next performance the troupe's last. Things take a turn for the worse as the monsters go on a rampage mid-performance. (Captain) and company battle the monsters with the crowd mistaking it all as part of the performance cheering them on.

Vyrn: Phew. I'm glad you're all right, but seriously, what did you do to get that monster so mad?
Uzuki: I'm sorry… I thought maybe if I could learn to sing and dance with a monster, it'd really give the show some extra charm…
Rin: Aw, Uzuki. I think you're plenty charming already.
Mio: That's right, Shimamu! Your smile always lights up the room!
Uzuki: Thanks, everyone! I guess I got a little carried away…
Uzuki: OK, I won't waste any more time! I'm going to practise a whole lot and make this peformance our best yet!
Invigorated by Uzuki's beaming smile, everyone breathes a sigh of relief.
Ringmaster: You have the best smile I've ever laid eyes on! I'm glad we could see it again, as a sendoff for our final performance…
Juggler: R-Ringmaster! You weren't supposed to tell them that…
Uzuki: What? What do you mean, "final"?
Magician: Uh… We didn't mean to keep it a secret, it's just…
Ringmaster: We thought you might get upset, so we were going to keep quiet about it…
Ringmaster: Thanks to your encouragement, our little troupe has become famous. You might say our dream has finally come true.
Ringmaster: But I have no idea where to go from here. It's like we've done it all… Perhaps there's nothing left for us…
Ringmaster: So we thought ending things while we're at the top of our game would be better than just wasting away…
Uzuki: No way! You're going quit now? Can you really just walk away from everything you've worked so hard to build?
Ringmaster:
Uzuki: …You know, becoming a pop idol was always my dream.
Uzuki: Just like you, I worked hard to make my dream come true. Now I'm doing what I always wanted to, even here in a different world!
Uzuki: But I still have a long way to go. My dream doesn't end here!
Uzuki: I just know I can shine even brighter! And I'm sure all of you can, too.
Ringmaster: Hmm… The dream doesn't end here, huh? Everyone already decided on it, though… Give us some time to think about it.
The ringmaster and the rest of the troupe retire to another room, deep in thought.
Uzuki: You just can't give up now… You could have such a bright future…
Mio: Shimamu…
In spite of Uzuki and the crew's concerns, the troupe is still unable to give any definitive answer on the subject of retirement.
Before long, the day of the performance arrives. The venue is packed with spectators, eager to see the troupe's now famous act.
Magician: OK, here I go…
Magician: ……
The magician takes to the stage, where her acts of prestidigitation are met with wild applause.
Juggler: ……
She is followed by the juggler, his stupendous manual dexterity delighting the crowd.
Ringmaster: Looks like it's my turn. Wish me luck.
Uzuki: Wait, Ringmaster-san! Did you think about what I said? This isn't really going to be your last show, is it?
Ringmaster: You've always been so kind to us, right up until the end. Thank you… I have to get going.
Ringmaster: ……
The ringmaster leads his trained beast onto the stage. It obeys all his instructions, and the show continues without interruption.
Circus-Loving Brute: Whoa! Ain't that something! These guys have really improved!
The ringmaster prepares to bring his impeccable performance to a close.
Ringmaster: (I guess this is the end… Still, I'm glad I got the chance to go out with a bang.)
Uzuki: No way! You're going quit now? Can you really just walk away from everything you've worked so hard to build?
Uzuki: You just can't give up now… You could have such a bright future…
Ringmaster: (Hm… A bright future, huh?)
The ringmaster's will wavers for a split second. In that moment, the ferocious beast breaks free.
Monster: Groooar!
Ringmaster: Huh? No! No way!
The monster rears up to attack. As the audience begins to panic, a lone figure draws the beast's attention from the ringmaster.
Uzuki: Yaaah!
Monster: Grarar!
Ringmaster: What? Uzuki-san?
Uzuki: Not just me! Ready, Mio-chan?
Mio: Heh heh heh… Call me and I shall appear… Mio-chan, on the scene! Take this!
Monster: Grawr?
Uzuki: Rin-chan, now!
Rin: Right! To me, my violet blade!
Monster: Ngrar!
The three idols attack the beast with such flair and precision that the audience is convinced it was all part of the act.
Circus-Loving Brute: Woo! Nice going, girls! Yeah, show that thing who's boss!
Uzuki: Thanks for your support, everyone! I'll do my best!
Mio: Heh, this is pretty fun. Since we're already on stage, let's go ahead and give them a taste of what we can do!
Rin: Huh? Mio, aren't you being a little too hasty?
…I guess we could, though.
The three idols proceed to sing, dance, and bring the beast under control with their superb teamwork.
Vyrn: Heh, they're not bad at all! C'mon, (Captain), we should help out, too!

Light Up the Dream: Scene 3[edit]

The ringmaster watches in amazement as the trio of pop idols sing and dance ad-lib all the while battling monsters. "I can't believe they're still aiming for higher given how good they are already..." remarks the ringmaster. Realizing that fulfilling their dream may very well only be the start, Uzuki reassures the ringmaster they'll be fine as long as they give it their best.

Taking his cue from Uzuki and the others, the ringmaster regains control and wraps up his act.
A brief intermission is announced to prepare the stage for the idols' concert.
Backstage, the ringmaster offers his sincerest gratitude.
Ringmaster: I can't thank you enough! I'm so sorry for the trouble I've caused you…
Uzuki: Come on, don't be like that! It was no trouble at all.
Ringmaster: I'm grateful for your help with the beast too, but that wasn't what I meant…
Juggler: How can I put this… When the three of you were on stage, it was like you were shining with a light all your own.
Magician: You were truly dazzling. Much more so than any of us.
Ringmaster: And when we thought about how none of your consider your dreams to be at an end yet…
Uzuki: Ringmaster-san…
Ringmaster: We thought…maybe we can keep going a little longer. Maybe we can make our future even brighter…
Uzuki: That's right! This is only the beginning for all of you!
Uzuki: So let's all chase our dreams together and work toward that shining, bright future!
Ringmaster: Oh, Uzuki-san… Thank you…
A buzzer rings out across the theater, signalling the end of the intermission and the start of the concert.
Uzuki: It's time. Be sure to cheer us on, we'll all be doing our very best!
Ringmaster: Right! Break a leg!
Uzuki, Rin and Mio take to the stage, soothing the hearts of all with their songs and dancing skills.
Their smiles light up the room, as though they are lighting the way toward the dazzling future the circus troupe dreamed of.
The performers are newly inspired to pursue their dreams, never to stray from their path again.
