Act 1: Girl in Blue - Chapter 62: Stars Beyond the Sky - Episode 1
(Captain) and company vow to protect the world that Freesia is attempting to destroy in order to correct all history. However, Freesia uses dark essence to transform herself and get rid of (Captain) and company.
(Captain) and company follow the trail of the power band to a room in the inner part of the Tower.
Although there is no reactor, the power band can be traced beyond a door further inside.
Freesia: ...
Before the door stands Freesia, lingering quietly.
Freesia: Why? Why must you interfere? Aren't we all the same skydwellers?
Freesia: I'm only trying to correct our history into what it should have been, what we had hoped for. So why?
Black Knight: It is not you who decides our history or hopes... and what they should've been.
Freesia: Then who? Who should right this crooked world?
Black Knight: How should I know? Bottom line: I won't allow anyone to get in my way.
Black Knight: That is the only reason I fight you.
Eugen: In the end, we're only fighting for ourselves.
Eugen: As for what's to be protected or punished... We'll decide that for ourselves.
Katalina: You may think we're not on the side of justice here...
Katalina: But protecting ones dear to us, and doing what's best for everyone... That's what I want to believe is just.
Io: Honestly, I don't really get complicated stuff like this...
Io: But you shouldn't make trouble for other people! Everyone knows that.
Rosetta: If you choose to twist the truth inside you, no one would object.
Rosetta: But you see... This world doesn't belong to just you.
Rosetta: Of course, it doesn't belong to anyone. Regardless of Astrals or skydwellers.
Rackam: No matter what this world's come to be...
Rackam: When I look up, I see a beautiful sky. When my airship is flying against the wind, it's the best feeling...
Rackam: How could I ever let you throw away a world like this?
Lecia: Prime Minister Freesia...
Lecia: Perhaps what you're trying to do is no longer fit for passing judgment on...
Lecia: But... we will stand against you. To protect what's precious to us.
Lyria: If there's something we can do to save the world now, we'll use all our strength to try.
Vyrn: You betcha! Of course we can't give up here!
As Freesia listens to (Captain) and company affirm their stance, the corners of her mouth turn upward into a crazed grin.
Freesia: Really... Is that so? How simple.
Freesia: If one holds the power to protect... One also holds the power to control the world and its history...
Freesia: Fine then! We'll do it your way, and I'll prove to you the righteousness of my path!
Freesia removes a crystal from her pocket that sparkles ominously, then shatters it with all her might.
Freesia: If strength is the answer... then I certainly have it! Now grovel before me! Before my staggering power!
Eugen: Hey now... We've got ourselves a situation.
Black Knight: There's no use getting worked up now.
Black Knight: With different convictions comes conflict, and with conflict comes fighting...
Black Knight: But... aren't we here now because we continued to earn the victory in every fight?
Orchis: So... let's give it our best shot again?
Black Knight: To put it briefly, yes.
Black Knight: We've come too far to fear this fight! Let's finish this quickly, (Captain)!
Act 1: Girl in Blue - Chapter 62: Stars Beyond the Sky - Episode 2
After defeating Freesia, (Captain) and company go after the reactor. However, as they get closer, the reactor activates its self-defense system with (Captain) and company as the target.
(Captain) and company square off against a transformed Freesia and manage to land a decisive blow.
Freesia: Argh... Ahh... Ugh...
Freesia: Pant... Wheeze...
Black Knight: Humph... Looks like this is the end.
Freesia: W-wait! I'm not through!
Katalina: Prime Minister!
Freesia: Ahhhhh! Argh! Why, why! Why... must you always, always, always get in the way!
Freesia: Why don't you understand? The righteous one... the chosen one... is me!
Lyria: ...
Black Knight: Let's go. There's nothing we can do for her now.
Black Knight: And we must hurry to stop the reactor. It's probably beyond this door.
The Black Knight gestures toward the door at the end of the room.
Freesia: !
Rosetta: You're right... The reactor is probably still functioning on its own.
(Captain) and company leave Freesia behind and head toward the door.
Reactor: ...
Lecia: Is this it?
Io: Eek... Th-the air in here feels thick, like something's really wrong here.
Orchis: Surely it's because of the reactor...
Lyria: Mm-hm... I can feel a power similar to dark essence being generated here.
Katalina: However... It seems the primal beast Akasha is nowhere to be found.
Eugen: But even so, as long as we destroy the place, that thing won't move an inch.
Black Knight: Right... We didn't come here to just look at it.
Black Knight: Let's hurry and do what we came to do.
Rackam: Yep! We're almost done! So let's get this over with and head back to the Grandcypher...
An alarm suddenly goes off. (Captain) and company brace themselves.
Eugen: Hey now... What's this?
Reactor: Hostile entities detected. Initiating self-defense system.
Rosetta: You say we only need to destroy it, but it might not be so easy.
Vyrn: But we've already come this far! It's just a bit further to go, (Captain)!
Eugen: If all goes well, this'll be the final fight! Now roll up your sleeves and let's go!
Act 1: Girl in Blue - Chapter 62: Stars Beyond the Sky - Episode 3
Lyria absorbs the core of the reactor, the primal beast Deus Ex Machina. However, Freesia appears and vows before Mithra to never give up until her goal is reached. With Mithra's power to ensure that her promise is fulfilled, the crew find themselves up against a crazed and invincible foe.
In order to evade the reactor's self-defense system, (Captain) and company deal blow after damaging blow.
Reactor: Critical damage confirmed. Aborting all functions...
Rackam: Good gracious... Does this mean it's stopped for now?
Lyria: Yes! Now there's one thing left to do...
To prevent the reactor from restarting, Lyria absorbs the primal beast Deus Ex Machina, the core of the reactor.
Io: Hmm? The air in the room feels lighter...
Rosetta: That must be proof the reactor was stopped.
Rosetta: Now we needn't worry anymore about Akasha awakening...
Freesia: Huff... Huff...
Everyone turns at the sounds to find Freesia tottering toward them.
Freesia: It's... It's not over!
Lyria: Freesia...
Black Knight: Just what do you intend to do now? The reactor is gone, along with your power supply.
Black Knight: You've used up every card in your hand. And on top of that, just look at yourself...
Freesia: But still... I can still...
Suddenly Freesia waves her right hand.
Freesia: Mithra!
Black Knight: Wha?
Mithra: ...
Mithra: !
Freesia: I will... achieve my dream. No matter how many times I'm torn apart... I will!
Katalina: It can't be... W-wait! You can't!
Freesia: There, I've taken my vow! Hear me, Mithra! So that I may obey this pledge!
Freesia: Give me... the power to triumph!
Mithra: ...
Freesia: Aahhhh!
Freesia: Gasp...
Freesia: Unacceptable... It is unacceptable... This world... And every one of you!
Io: Wh-what's going on?
Katalina: It seems... the Prime Minister has sacrificed herself for the compulsory power of Mithra.
Katalina: Mithra will ensure every promise it hears is fulfilled.
Katalina: In other words... Prime Minister Freesia will keep her promise.
Katalina: She will... achieve her dream. No matter how many times she's torn apart.
Black Knight: Humph... That is to say, she'll keep being revived?
Katalina: So it would seem.
Rackam: What! Is that even possible?
Katalina: I don't know... But the pain she must be in is far from ordinary.
Rosetta: Anyway, this isn't the time for chat.

In an attempt to erase Freesia from the future, the crew incorrectly activates Akasha, inadvertently causing it to begin erasing everyone one by one. However, Vyrn is able to awaken his true power to recover everyone and take Akasha head-on.
Freesia: Argh! Ah... Ahh...
Freesia: Urgh...
Lecia: Gasp... I can do this...
Mithra: ...
Freesia: Aaaahhhhhhh!
Freesia: ...
Eugen: Look now... We're just going in circles no matter what we do.
Io: But... she seems to be suffering.
Lecia: If Freesia keeps getting revived by Mithra's power, then maybe Lyria could...
Lyria: I can't... I'm sorry. There's just nothing I can do.
Katalina: Lyria's power is no match for Mithra's force.
Katalina: To break the hold of that primal beast, the only thing left is to fulfill her promise.
Lecia: But...
Black Knight: No... There's another way.
Katalina: What?
Black Knight: I'll hold her back. In the meantime, you find Akasha and activate it.
Black Knight: It should be nearby...
Vyrn: What! What's the point in bringing it out here now?
Black Knight: Akasha should be able to rewrite outcomes... Rewrite history.
Katalina: B-but! Even if we manage to rewrite the prime minister's pledge...
Katalina: What would happen to the world now as we know it?
Black Knight: That's why you rewrite the future.
Eugen: The future? Can we even do such a thing?
Black Knight: Akasha controls all history: the past, present, and future.
Black Knight: If you can erase Freesia's existence from the future...
Black Knight: Her pledge will count for nothing, and we might be able to stop her.
Io: But if we do that, then our world...
Ah!
Ah!
Io: I get it! Since it's the future, it won't matter how it changes, right?
Black Knight: Rare of you to catch on... To our benefit, not a single person here already knows of the future.
Black Knight: So no matter how we rewrite it, it shouldn't affect the present.
Lyria: But... if we do that...
Black Knight: Enough! Just go! We have no other choice!
Freesia: ...
With the arguing group in her sights, Freesia slowly begins to move.
Katalina: Let's do this. With nothing else to go on, this is the best shot we have at stopping her.
The crew leaves the Black Knight to handle Freesia as they search for Akasha.
The Black Knight, all alone, comes face-to-face with Freesia in her twisted form.
Freesia: You... You mean to defeat me all by yourself?
Freesia: I have something I can never yield... I'll do whatever it takes!
Black Knight: And what of it? Unfortunately for you, I also have something I'll never yield.
Black Knight: As well as the power to oppose you.
The Black Knight removes a crystal from her pocket that sparkles ominously.
Freesia: Isn't that—
Black Knight: It's a little something I found, but it should pack a punch.
Black Knight: Now... Why don't we have some fun until the future is rewritten!
The Black Knight uses the dark essence on herself and challenges Freesia.
Orchis: !
Upon hearing the sounds of impact echoing from the other room, the crew stop in their tracks.
Orchis: Apollo...
Io: Was that her?
Rosetta: Let's hurry. We need to push forward, not look back.
Orchis: ...
Orchis, looking worried, suddenly feels a heavy hand on her shoulder.
Eugen: She'll be fine... Like her dad, she tends to rush into things headfirst...
Eugen: But she always finds her way through somehow. Am I right?
Orchis: Yeah...
The crew moves on until Lyria and Orchis stop before a particular room.
Orchis: Maybe here...
Lyria: Yeah... I can feel a great power!
Akasha: ...
Rackam: After all that's happened, this'll be our second time meeting...
Katalina: That's right. But from the way this looks, could it already have been activated?
Katalina: Lyria, do you sense anything? Lyria?
Lyria: ...
Lyria: Unauthorized activation and hostilities detected...
Lyria: Performing erasure of all surrounding data including hostile entities...
Katalina: L-Lyria!
Orchis: It's... just like that time. In the forest... when Akasha was awakened.
Vyrn: Oh no! Just what's going on? Has that thing taken over Lyria?
Lecia: I don't know! B-but!
Akasha: ...
Akasha releases a ray of light, enveloping everything it touches.
Lecia: Is everything around us... going to disappear?
Eugen: Hey, hey, hey! There's no way to stop it?
Rackam: J-just what d'you expect us to do!
Orchis: ...
Akasha: ...
Orchis: It... won't respond to me anymore.
Rosetta: This can't be good...
Io: B-but we fought so hard to stop the prime minister... Why...
Orchis: !
Eugen: Hey, hey now! Is this supposed to be a bad joke or something?
Rackam: Nope... Doesn't look like it at all...
Lyria: Performing erasure of all surrounding data including hostile entities...
Lecia: Could it be... Is this Akasha's true power?
All around (Captain), friends are disappearing one by one into the light.
Io: No!
Vyrn: H-hey now, Lyria! Wake up already! There's gotta be something you can do!
Lyria: ...
Lyria: Performing erasure of all surrounding data including hostile entities...
Rosetta: It seems... Lyria may be lost to us now.
Katalina: Unbelievable...
Lyria: Two targets remaining. Performing erasure of all surrounding data including hostile entities...
Vyrn: Even Katalina... W-what do we do, (Captain)? We're all that's left!
Vyrn: (Is this really the end for us?)
Vyrn: H-hey... (Captain). You're not ready to give up yet, are you?
Choose: Of course not!
Vyrn: Y-yeah! There's gotta be a way outta this...
Choose: We're just getting started!
Vyrn: Heh heh! Even in a rough spot, you play it cool as always, (Captain)!

Vyrn: (There's gotta be... just gotta be something I can do...)
???: ...
Vyrn: !
Lecia: Huh? What happened to us?
Eugen: Good golly... My head...
Eugen, on his knees, shakes his head as he slowly gets back up.
Katalina: !
Rosetta: At the least, we haven't been annihilated.
Like Rosetta, everyone starts to reappear one by one from the enveloping light.
Lyria: Partial functional damage confirmed. Self-defense functions suspended. Switching to... functional recovery...
Katalina: Lyria!
(Captain) catches Lyria just as she falls.
Lyria: Huh? What did I...
Io: Hey, hey, what happened? Don't tell me, Vyrn just...
Vyrn: I-I dunno what happened either.
Eugen: Anyways, now's our chance!
Eugen: Akasha's power is limited, so let's take it out while we can!
Act 1: Girl in Blue - Chapter 62: Stars Beyond the Sky - Episode 4: Scene 2
Lyria and Orchis activate Akasha properly, allowing (Captain) and company to stop Freesia. However, Lyria spares Freesia's life. A great enemy force is finally defeated after a long battle, but a conflict still remains between the Black Knight and Orchis.
(Captain) and company struggle to subdue the primal beast Akasha.
Akasha: ...
After being properly reactivated by Lyria and Orchis, Akasha's abilities were left to Lyria.
Lyria: (Within here... lies all record of the past, present, and future of this world...)
Lyria: (Then that means... maybe my history is here too?)
Using her consciousness, Lyria directs Akasha to find records of herself.
Lyria: This is... my...
Lyria: ...
Lyria: Huh? This is...
Black Knight: Aaahhhhh!
Freesia: Ergh!
Freesia: Gasp...
Mithra: ...
Freesia: Ugh... Ah... Ahhhhh!
Freesia: ...!
Black Knight: Humph...
The Black Knight is forced into a difficult battle as the power of Mithra unceasingly continues to revive Freesia.
Freesia: ...
Black Knight: (There's no end to this, as I expected... But I can't allow this to go on much longer...)
Freesia: ...
Freesia: Ah...
Black Knight: Hmm?
Freesia: Ahh...
Black Knight: ...
Just then, the crew returns to the Black Knight, having overcome Akasha.
But upon their arrival, they are not met with gratitude, but with reproach from the Black Knight.
Black Knight: Why... Why did you do this?
Lyria: Huh? Um...
Black Knight: Don't play dumb. I told you to erase Freesia's existence from the future.
Black Knight: But why is she still here?
The Black Knights points to Freesia, collapsed on the floor.
Lyria: Um... I'm sorry...
Black Knight: She was trying to destroy the world. And yet you let her live?
Lyria: You might be right...
Lyria: B-but! I couldn't just... erase someone...
Black Knight: ...
Katalina: Now, now, it should be fine. In the end, we turned the tables in our favor.
Although Lyria doesn't use Akasha's abilities to erase Freesia from the future...
She erases the dark essence and pledge from the future, ultimately stopping the prime minister.
Black Knight: Humph... You're all a bunch of softies.
Eugen: You might think so, but we've certainly cleared things up here.
Rackam: Oh boy... Now I can finally take a breather.
Io: After all that, I feel totally beat...
Rosetta: Good work. You really gave it your all this time.
Lecia: For now, it seems the capital is safe, and the world is saved! Excellent job, (Captain)!
Vyrn: Heh heh! I guess we did it again, (Captain)!
Everyone breathes a sigh of relief, having made it through to the end of a long and treacherous journey.
Black Knight: ...
Orchis: ...
Lyria: ...
But amongst them, a veiled conflict over the next path to take will soon threaten their peace.
