The pilot of Evangelion Unit 00. A reticent girl with no records of her past, she seldom displays emotion and has an almost artificial quality. Sensing her desire to spare Shinji from piloting an Eva, the primal beast Elpis imposed a connection on her, which ultimately brought Shinji and his companions to the Sky Realm. One of the few who retained memories of the Evas and their original world, she chose to remain silent, believing that Shinji wouldn't need to pilot if he never remembered.
