Robomi Z - Opening
Abominations appear in a certain peaceful town, but they are no match for the Robomi replicas and the City Defense Force's special weaponry. However, a new threat appears in the form of a black Gigante Suit. The Defense Force members are shocked to witness the black machine, piloted by someone who appears to be Nicholas, destroying Robomi replicas.
This is an ordinary town, perhaps no different from the one where you live.
There are no monsters or even ruffians wandering the streets. It is one of the most peaceful towns in all the skies.
However, that peace is suddenly shattered.
The wail of an alarm echoes through the town.
Woman: The alarm! Is it an abomination?
Man: E-everyone evacuate! Hurry!
Trembling in fear, the townspeople scramble to escape.
Abomination 1: Zbzaaah!
People: Aaah!
But it's too late. Their escape routes are all blocked by monsters. There's nowhere to run.
Man: Urgh...
Abomination 1: Mrgrh... Mrgraaah...
The Rashomon Research Vessel is currently on a faraway island. Nicholas, the steel warrior who once fought off the abominations, is no longer around to protect them.
Abomination 1: Shabaaah!
The abominations charge ruthlessly at the stunned townspeople. Isn't there anyone who can save them?
Why yes, there is!
City Defender 1: Abomination spotted! Go, Robomi!
Robomi Replica: ...!
Abomination 1: Pyargh!
City Defender 1: The enemy's repulsion field has been deactivated! City Defense Force, charge!
City Defenders: Let's go!
The City Defense Force, armed with special weapons, launches an attack on the abominations.
As long as the Defense Force is around, the town is safe.
Abomination 1: Ababah...
City Defender 1: Whew. Looks like most of the abominations have been taken care of.
City Defender 2: Aye. But I'm told there are still abominations rampaging in other areas.
City Defender 1: Let's make sure these people make it to safety, and then we can head over to help.
City Defender 1: Huh?
???: ...
City Defender 1: What happened to you? Did you get left behind?
City Defender 2: Why are you in your birthday suit? Were you taking a bath when the monsters attacked? That's some real bad luck you got.
City Defender 1: Send one of the Robomis to lead him to safety. And get him something to wear.
City Defender 2: You know, he sure does look familiar.
City Defender 2: I know! You're Nicholas, the mechanic who developed the Robomis! What are you doing away from the research vessel?
???: What am I doing, you ask?
???: Destroying.
City Defender 1: W-why did you do that? Aren't you the one who created the Robomis?
???: Hrrrgh!
City Defenders: Gyaah!
???: Commencing elimination.
City Defender 1: A black Gigante Suit?
The advancement of special anti-abomination weapons and Robomis had all but eliminated the threat of these monsters.
However, that fleeting moment of peace has been destroyed by a black machine. A new threat to the skies has been born.
Robomi Z - Chapter 1: The Black Gigante Suit Appears! - Episode 1
In the hangar of the Rashomon Research Vessel, Nicholas and Hallessena work to repair the Robomi prototype. Since Nicholas and Marie are going to have a child together soon, Nicholas plans to make the prototype his final engineering project. He feels a pang of sadness when he hears the people in town referring to the replicas as "Robomis," and he vows never to forget the real Robomi.
Nicholas: Hmm. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Robomi Prototype: Joint angle initialization failed. Unable to start up.
In the hangar of the Rashomon Research Vessel, Nicholas tries to figure out what's causing the Robomi prototype's error.
Dr. Rashomon: Hmm... What could be the problem?
Nicholas: Think it's an issue with the encoder this time? I wonder if we have more in stock.
Marie: How does it look, Nicholas? Think you can get the Robomi prototype up and running?
Nicholas: Well... The control system and drive system have deteriorated to the point that they're no longer usable.
Marie: Oh...
Nicholas: I keep making repairs, but as soon as I fix one thing, something else breaks. I haven't even been able to get it to start up yet. Feels like I'm playing a game of whack-a-mole.
Nicholas: Sorry, Marie. Before I give up my hobby of tinkering with machines, I at least want to see this through.
Marie: Hehe. You've started making money from your inventions, so I don't mind.
Dr. Rashomon: Nicholas certainly has changed.
Marie: Hear that, little one?
Perhaps an explanation is in order.
Rashomon's older brother, Daimon, once controlled an army of abominations and challenged Nicholas and the others to battle.
During those turbulent times, Nicholas and Marie developed feelings for each other.
Eventually, they started a relationship.
Marie: I guess he decided he needed to build up some savings now that we're going to have a child. Hehe.
Dr. Rashomon: I never would have expected the two of you to get so close during our visit to Auguste.
Nicholas: Well... Er... How should I put this...
Dr. Rashomon: Hahaha. I'm not upset with you. That's between you and Marie. I know you'll take responsibility for your actions.
Dr. Rashomon: So I won't have to show up with a shotgun at your wedding.
Marie: Hehe. Isn't that great, Nicholas?
Nicholas: Ah... Haha... Thanks for that...
Hallessena: Heeey, Nicholas! Look at this! Lookie-lookie!
Nicholas: Hm? What is it, Hallessena? Did you make another new weapon for Robomi?
Hallessena: Vrooom, shweee, babam! I call it the Spinny Stabby Drill! Isn't it crazy to the max?
Nicholas: I see... All the little details look useless at first glance, but they're actually a cunning part of the design. You never fail to impress me, Hallessena.
Hallessena: Hee-hee! I'll attach it to Robomi when it's finished!
Hallessena: I can see it now! It's gonna be drop-dead gorgeous!
This girl's name is Hallessena. She's a member of (Captain)'s crew.
Nicholas and the others gave her a lot of advice when she was modifying her weapon, the Divine Death Saw of Death, and ever since then she's made a habit of dropping by the research vessel.
Dr. Rashomon: Heh... Ever since Hallessena started coming by, the research vessel's gotten a lot more lively.
Nicholas: Haha. She feels like a part of the family now.
Marie: She really does. Hehe. I hope she'll keep visiting after our child is born.
Marie: It would be really reassuring for the baby to have a big sister like Hallessena.
Hallessena: W-what? A big sister? Me?
Nicholas: That's right. You can come play with the baby anytime.
Hallessena: Hee-hee. A big sister! That makes me super duper happy! Tee-hee-hee.
Dr. Rashomon: By the way, Hallessena, what are your plans for dinner? Will you be joining us again?
Hallessena: I'm eating dinner with the crew tonight! So give me a rain check!
Marie: Oh, that's too bad. Make sure you get back before dark. The sun's about to set.
Hallessena: Yeppers! But before I go...
Hallessena: I wanna finish my Spinny Stabby Drill! Hee-hee! Tee-hee-hee!
Dr. Rashomon: You've created another fine product, Hallessena. I wish I could equip all the replicas with them.
Nicholas: But Hallessena's inventions aren't really suited for mass production, are they?
Nicholas: Wait, Marie. Did you say the sun was about to set?
Marie: Yes. Lunchtime was a while ago, you know.
Nicholas: The parts shop will be closing soon... I'm going to head over and stock up on a few things.
Dr. Rashomon: Oh, Nicholas. If you're going out anyway, would you mind mailing a letter for me?
Nicholas: The one you're sending to Daimon in prison? Will do.
Nicholas: All right, the letter's mailed. Now which shop should I stop by first?
Upon entering the town, Nicholas overhears some people speaking in anxious tones.
Woman: Have you heard? They say abominations have started appearing again. I wonder if they'll strike here too.
Man: We'll be fine even if they do. We have the City Defense Force and an army of Robomis to protect us.
Nicholas: (An army of Robomis... Sounds like people have started calling the replicas by that name too.)
Nicholas: (I guess it's pretty common for the name of an inventor or famous brand to be used to refer to a machine.)
Nicholas: (We just have to make sure not to forget the real Robomi.)
Robomi Z - Chapter 1: The Black Gigante Suit Appears! - Episode 2
(Captain) and the crew, with Will in tow, visit the island to pick up Hallessena from the Rashomon Research Vessel. While they are walking through town, an alarm sounds to signal the appearance of abominations. The City Defense Force shows up wielding anti-abomination weapons and begins to suppress the invaders.
The crew visits the island to pick up Hallessena from the Rashomon Research Vessel.
Will: There sure are a lot of abomination researchers here.
Vyrn: Yeah. With so many parts shops in the area, you can see why Mecha-Nick and the others come here to stock up all the time!
Lyria: He said that abominations have started appearing again recently, so they've been busy repairing the replicas.
Vyrn: Man, where do those abominations keep coming from?
Will: They really are mysterious life forms. They appear and disappear in an instant, like ghosts or something. It's fascinating.
Vyrn: Now that you mention it, they are kinda ghosty.
Vyrn: Y'know, you don't usually come with us to visit the research vessel, Will.
Will: I want to take a look at some of the abomination research documents. I never dreamed I'd be blessed with the opportunity to observe them directly again.
Will: Oh! Does that alarm mean abominations have appeared?
Will: Haha. Speak of the devil.
Vyrn: This is no time to be laughing!
Lyria: Um... Do you think the townspeople are okay?
Vyrn: The City Defense Force is here, so everything should be okay, I think...
Abomination 1: Grgromorrrh...
Vyrn: Agh! There's one now!
City Defender 1: Hold it right there!
City Defender 2: Abominations! Taste the power of justice!
The City Defense Force bravely stands to face the abominations.
Fending off abominations is right up (Captain)'s alley. Not wanting to be outdone, (Captain) joins the fray.
Robomi Z - Chapter 1: The Black Gigante Suit Appears! - Episode 3
The crew helps the City Defense Force defeat the abominations. Hearing cries for help, they head over to lend their assistance in another area, where they find a figure clad in a black Gigante Suit who looks exactly like Nicholas. The figure points his blade at (Captain) and the crew.
City Defender 1: The abominations in this area have all been defeated. We appreciate your help!
Vyrn: Hehe! Don't mention it! Stuff like that's a piece of cake for (Captain)!
The crew helps guide the people to safety while keeping an eye out for abominations. But suddenly the sound of a commotion reaches their ears.
People's Screams: Aaargh!
Man's Scream: Eek! Save me!
City Defender 2: Requesting backup! Requesting backup! We've lost three Robomis!
(Captain) and crew exchange worried glances, hearing screams in the distance and the Defense Force's calls for reinforcements.
Vyrn: What? No way! I thought the abominations were no match for the new and improved replicas!
Lyria: (Captain)! Let's go help them!
Robomi Replica: ...!
???: One down.
Robomi Replica: ...!
???: And another one.
Lyria: Nicholas?
The crew can't believe their eyes.
A young man clad in black armor—the spitting image of Nicholas—is destroying the Robomi replicas.
Nicholas?: That makes all seven. Elimination complete.
Vyrn: W-what is he doing? Why is Mecha-Nick destroying all the replicas?
Nicholas?: Obstructions must be eliminated.
Vyrn: Now he's coming after us? What the heck's wrong with you, Mecha-Nick?
Nicholas?: Commencing elimination!
Robomi Z - Chapter 1: The Black Gigante Suit Appears! - Episode 3: Scene 2
The Nicholas look-alike ruthlessly attacks a bewildered (Captain) and crew. The crew's confusion deepens as a second Nicholas, clad in his Gigante Suit, runs up to them.
Nicholas?: ...!
Vyrn: He's coming at us with everything he's got! Seriously, what's wrong with him?
City Defender 1: This way, Nicholas!
Nicholas: Sorry! I'm finally here, everyone!
Nicholas?: ...
Nicholas: W-who are you?
Lyria: Nicholas?
Vyrn: What's going on? Why are there two Mecha-Nicks?
Robomi Z - Chapter 1: The Black Gigante Suit Appears! - Episode 4
The figure in the black Gigante Suit turns out to be an abomination going by the name of Tyrias. In order to defeat his species' mortal enemies—people—he has evolved to mimic their appearance. Tyrias leaves after determining that (Captain) and the others are no longer a threat. They start to pursue him but are hindered by a group of evolved abominations.
Nicholas: Who in the skies are you?
Tyrias: I am Tyrias the Destroyer. I am an abomination born to annihilate all people.
Nicholas: W-why do you look like me?
Tyrias: I am charged with ensuring the continuation of my species. In order to defeat the abominations' mortal enemies—people—I have evolved to mimic their appearance.
Tyrias: But if this is all (Captain), one of our mortal enemies, can manage, you are not worth my time either, Nicholas.
Tyrias: We have no reason to fear you. I'll let my fellow evolved abominations take care of this while I fulfill my other objective.
Evolved Abomination: Dashagraaah!
Nicholas: Urgh!
Tyrias: Creating a future for abominations by stopping people's potential to evolve. That is my sole mission.
Nicholas: Wait!
Nicholas: Oh well, I guess we have other things to worry about!
Evolved Abomination: Mrgrgh!
Vyrn: We're surrounded by abominations!
City Defender 1: B-be careful! Our attacks had no effect on some of them!
Nicholas: The weapons we developed don't work against them?
Nicholas: Argh! Well, we'll just have to try!
Robomi Z - Chapter 1: The Black Gigante Suit Appears! - Episode 4: Scene 2
The evolved abominations are defeated, and the crew heads toward the Rashomon Research Vessel, fearing that it might be Tyrias's next target. Meanwhile, Tyrias makes his way toward the research vessel, easily disposing of all obstacles in his way. He is bewildered at the Defense Force putting themselves at risk to protect those unable to defend themselves.
Evolved Abomination: Mrgh... Grgh...
Nicholas: Damn it! They're too tough!
Lyria: The abominations are stronger than they were before!
Will: From what I've gathered, their repulsion fields have gotten stronger. To think such evolution was possible...
Nicholas: These weapons have had their firepower lowered so they could be mass produced. They won't do us any good!
Nicholas: We need to come up with a new weapon to defeat them, and quick!
Will: I have a bad feeling about what he meant when he mentioned evolution...
Nicholas: Huh? Do you know what he was talking about?
Will: People and monsters continue to evolve on a daily basis, but it can take a hundred years before there's any noticeable physical change.
Will: But people have the unique ability to change their traits in an instant. By using weapons.
Nicholas: So in other words, he wants to stop the evolution of weapons?
Lyria: Could he have been heading toward the Rashomon Research Vessel?
Nicholas: Oh no!
As Nicholas and the others start to make their way toward the vessel, Tyrias the Destroyer calmly walks through a shower of bullets.
City Defender 2: Damn it! Our weapons aren't working! How many evacuees are left?
Elderly Person: Don't worry about us. Everyone, save yourselves!
City Defender 1: If I was going to back down at a time like this, I never would have joined the Defense Force!
City Defender 1: Stand strong! Hold them back! Do your duty!
City Defenders: Yeah!
Completely unfazed by the barrage of bullets, Tyrias approaches the City Defense Force.
City Defender 1: Urgh!
Tyrias: You continue to attack despite knowing that your weapons won't work?
City Defender 2: Take this!
Tyrias: Hitting me is pointless. Why do you waste your strength?
City Defender 2: Gyaaah!
City Defender 1: Stand your ground! They're almost done evacuating!
City Defender 2: Aaah!
Tyrias: Weak life-forms are not necessary for battle. So why do you sacrifice yourselves for them?
Tyrias: Why do you fight? What point is there in helping that aged life-form escape?
Tyrias: What emotion are you currently experiencing? Answer me.
City Defender 2: We won't... give up! We'll carry out our mission!
Tyrias: I don't understand. Apparently the only emotion I've learned thus far is bafflement.
Tyrias: Well, never mind.
Tyrias tosses the City Defense Force member aside and looks into the distance.
Tyrias: So that's the Rashomon Research Vessel... The place where they invoke the evolution of weapons and turn people into a threat to abominations.
Tyrias: Its destruction must take top priority.
Hallessena: Tee-hee-hee! Bring it on, abominations!
Hallessena: I'll cut you all into teensy pieces! It'll be a sea of fatalities!
Abomination 1: Urgmrgh!
Hallessena: It's my job to keep Marie and her baby safey-safe! Come at me!
Dr. Rashomon: Sorry I made you fight them off, Hallessena! But thanks to you, it's ready to go!
Dr. Rashomon: Launch the Gigantes MKXI!
Gigantes MKXI: ...!
Abomination: Blamaaargh!
The Gigantes MKXI! The eleventh generation Gigantes!
The result of a lengthy development process, its overwhelming power can pulverize even the strengthened abominations.
City Defender 1: Whoa! It took out the abomination with ease!
Dr. Rashomon: Let's move! Now that the abominations attacking the research vessel have been defeated, we need to meet up with Nicholas!
Researchers: Yes sir!
Encouraged by the appearance of the Gigantes MKXI, the Defense Force begins its counterattack. But at that moment—
Dr. Rashomon: What? The abominations stopped attacking?
The abominations suddenly vanish, leaving an eerie silence in their absence.
Hallessena: Heyyy, did I scare 'em off? Hee-hee! Tee-hee-hee! Tee-hee-hee!
Dr. Rashomon: I've never seen abominations stop attacking like that before. Well, now's our chance.
Hallessena: Okie-dokie! I'll cut those abominations into pieces while we find Nicholas—
Hallessena: Huh?
Tyrias: ...
Hallessena: Marie, Marie, Marie! Nicholas is over there!
Marie: ...!
Tyrias: The Rashomon Research Vessel... The key to the evolution of our enemies' weapons...
Tyrias: Knowledge... and the people who use it. I must eliminate everything from this place, or there will be no future for us.
Tyrias stands before the Rashomon Research Vessel.
Tyrias: Commencing elimination.
He mutters under his breath, a faint trace of hostility in his voice.
Robomi Z - Chapter 2: Clash with Tyrias the Destroyer! - Episode 1
The research vessel members approach Tyrias, unaware that he is an imposter. Just as Tyrias is about to begin his assault, Marie's voice stops him in his tracks. His hostility dissipates as Marie embraces him, thinking him to be Nicholas. The crew then arrives to face Tyrias in battle once more.
Nicholas: Huff... Huff...
The crew rushes toward the Rashomon Research Vessel.
Nicholas: Augh! It feels like we're not getting any closer!
They are unable to hide their panic over the impending crisis.
Tyrias: Commencing elimination.
Tyrias, wielding a jet black sword, moves to begin his assault on the Rashomon Research Vessel.
Marie: Nicholas!
Tyrias: ...!
But Marie's voice stops him in his tracks.
Tyrias: ...
Marie: I'm so glad you're okay...
Tyrias: What's this feeling?
Without understanding why, Tyrias lowers his weapon. He stares in confusion.
Dr. Rashomon: What's going on, Nicholas? And why are you in that outfit?
Marie: A black Gigante Suit? When did you make that?
Hallessena: Very, very nice! It's super lovely! Are you trying out a new look?
Tyrias: ...
Marie: Well, it doesn't matter.
Marie: All that matters is that you're safe.
Tyrias: ...?
Tyrias freezes as Marie puts her arms around him.
Tyrias: What are you doing?
Marie: I was just so worried about you.
Tyrias: Worried? What does that mean?
Marie: What? It means I couldn't bear it if something happened to you.
Tyrias: Is that because you would lose a combatant in the fight for the survival of your species?
Marie: No! What are you talking about? I don't want you to have to fight the abominations!
Tyrias: I don't understand.
Marie: What?
Tyrias: I saw people sacrifice themselves for the sake of those who cannot fight.
Tyrias: And now I have met people who do not wish to fight against their mortal enemy. Do you not consider the good of your species?
Dr. Rashomon: Nicholas? What are you going on about?
Tyrias: In order for people to survive, they must leave the weak to die and carry on fighting against their mortal enemies.
Marie: Who are you? Nicholas would never say that we should abandon the weak...
Tyrias: Why do you pull away from me?
Marie: You're not Nicholas. You may look alike, but you're not him!
Tyrias: ...
Nicholas's Voice: Marie! Get away from him! He's an abomination!
Marie: Nicholas?
Hallessena: Whaaat? That's a fake Nicholas?
Vyrn: Yeah! He's actually a crazy strong abomination!
Dr. Rashomon: What? I can't believe it. He looks exactly like Nicholas!
Nicholas: Marie, are you hurt?
Marie: I'm fine. He didn't do anything to me.
Nicholas: Good. Don't worry—you're safe now.
Marie: Okay...
Tyrias: ...
Seeing Marie hiding behind Nicholas, Tyrias's expression changes slightly.
(Captain) moves to stand next to Nicholas, as if to shield Marie from Tyrias's gaze.
Tyrias: You still insist on fighting me, (Captain)?
Choose: That's right!
Tyrias: I don't understand why you people do the things you do. You should be able to see what's going to happen.
Tyrias: Well, never mind. I didn't expect those evolved forms to meet their demise. I suppose I'll just have to take care of you myself!
Choose: We'll protect Marie!
Tyrias: ...
Tyrias: I don't like hearing those words. I'll just have to make sure you can never utter them again!

Robomi Z - Chapter 2: Clash with Tyrias the Destroyer! - Episode 1: Scene 2
Fueled by the desire to protect Marie and the research team from danger, (Captain) and the others exhibit tremendous strength, which confuses Tyrias. Tyrias seizes a chance to stab (Captain) in the abdomen and manages to cut down an enraged Nicholas as well. Tyrias takes (Captain) and Nicholas to the abominations' lair in order to discover the secret of their strength.
Nicholas: Hiyaaah!
Tyrias: What the?
With a flash of his sword, Nicholas sends Tyrias's weapon flying.
Hallessena: Hya-hah! Time for you to go sayonara-bye-bye!
Tyrias: Urgh!
Seeing their chance, the crew unleash a flurry of attacks upon Tyrias.
Tyrias: How dare you!
Tyrias's expression turns to one of anger as he grabs (Captain)'s weapon.
Tyrias: Don't get ahead of yourself!
Tyrias: Die!
Sensing an intense thirst for blood, (Captain) makes to drop the sword.
In that moment, Tyrias plunges his hand through (Captain)'s abdomen.
The Four: (Captain)!
Lyria and Vyrn: !
Lyria: No... (Captain)!
Lyria: Urgh...
Feeling (Captain)'s pain through their connected life force, Lyria crumples to the ground.
Tyrias: Damn it... So this is anger! What a foul thing emotion is! Why did I have to replicate such a pointless trait?
Tyrias withdraws his arm from (Captain)'s unmoving body and tosses it aside.
Nicholas: You...
Nicholas: You'll pay for this!
Tyrias: But now I know... Anger can create an opening!
A blade emerges from Tyrias's hand, exactly like the one he had dropped earlier.
Nicholas: What?
Tyrias: You let your guard down, Nicholas!
Nicholas: Urgh!
Nicholas hesitates for a split second, unsure whether to take the attack or dodge and strike back.
Nicholas: Augh!
Nicholas's Gigante Suit, the very suit that consigned countless abominations to oblivion, is unceremoniously pierced.
Hallessena: (Captain)... are you...
Marie: Nicholas!
Tyrias: You put up quite a fight... But why were you so different from our previous battle?
Nicholas: Marie... Run away...
Tyrias: You dare look at her instead of me, your enemy?
Tyrias: I just don't understand people. Perhaps I should further examine these two life-forms.
Vyrn: Oh no! He took (Captain) and Mecha-Nick and flew off!
Lyria: Huff... Huff... No! (Captain)!
Lyria: Bahamut! Please save (Captain)!
Proto Bahamut: Grrr...
Tyrias: ...!
Proto Bahamut: Groooaar!
Lyria: (Go after them, Bahamut! Otherwise (Captain)'s going to be in trouble!)
Flapping its massive wings, Bahamut takes off after Tyrias the Destroyer!
Abominations: Mrgraaah!
Proto Bahamut: ...!
With its supersonic wings, Bahamut blasts away the abominations in its path and continues its pursuit.
Lyria: Urgh... Ugh...
Lyria: (I don't care if you have to use every last bit of my power. Please save (Captain)! I beg you!)
Tyrias: Tch! It's so fast!
Bahamut, with its superior speed, slowly closes in on Tyrias as he races away.
Lyria: Urgh... Sniff...
But a single tear slides down Lyria's cheek.
Lyria: Bahamut's... not going to make it in time...
Lyria: Urgh... (Captain)...
Vyrn: H-hey, Lyria! Stay with me!
Robomi Z - Chapter 2: Clash with Tyrias the Destroyer! - Episode 2
The Grandcypher and Rashomon Research Vessel crews are in dark spirits after the abduction of (Captain) and Nicholas. They are especially concerned about (Captain), who has suffered a serious injury. Meanwhile, Nicholas awakens to find himself in the abominations' lair, along with other people kidnapped by Tyrias. He searches the lair in hopes of finding (Captain).
Following Tyrias's assault on the Rashomon Research Vessel and subsequent escape, everyone's expressions are grim.
Lyria: ...

Dr. Rashomon: (Captain)'s wound was very deep. If it isn't treated soon, the captain's life could be in danger.

Nicholas: Where am I?
Nicholas wakes up in an unknown location.
Nicholas: Ugh... Something smells awful... Don't tell me this is the abominations' lair...
Nicholas: (Captain)! Vyrn! Lyria! Where are you?
There is no reply.
Nicholas: I'd give anything to hear their voices right now...
Nicholas searches through the darkness, trying to get a grasp on his current situation.
Man: Urgh... Augh...
He seems to be in some sort of prison. People lie scattered across the broad floor.
Thinking that (Captain) might be there somewhere, Nicholas continues his search.
Robomi Z - Chapter 2: Clash with Tyrias the Destroyer! - Episode 3
(Captain)'s stab wound was deep, but upon awakening, the captain strangely feels no pain. (Captain) meets up with Nicholas, and together they plot to escape from the abominations' lair along with the other prisoners.
The wound inflicted by Tyrias throbs with pain.
(Captain) has lost too much blood. Already unable to move, the captain's arms and legs begin to tremble.
Before long, (Captain)'s entire body starts to grow cold and numb.
At that moment, the captain senses a great power from far away. Lyria must have summoned Bahamut.
Sensing Bahamut's power steadily moving closer, relieved at the thought that help is on the way, (Captain) drifts out of consciousness.
Regaining consciousness in darkness, a damp stench fills (Captain)'s nostrils.
Body stiff and eyelids too heavy to open, (Captain) is unable to determine where this might be.
Overcome by fatigue, (Captain) struggles desperately just to breathe. There is no longer any pain emanating from the stab wound.
Lyria: Ngh... What happened?
Hallessena: Lyria! You're awake!
Vyrn: Hey, are you okay?
Lyria: Oh... Yes... I think so, at least.
Vyrn: Ngh... I'm so glad... I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you too.
Lyria: I'm sorry for making you worry.
Vyrn: Don't say that! I'm just glad you woke up.
Vyrn: Now if only (Captain) and Mecha-Nick would come back, everything would be back to normal.

Lyria: Ah... Huh?

Nicholas: There are a lot of other people trapped here. I was hoping to get everyone together and make a run for it. Can you move, (Captain)?
Using Nicholas's shoulder for balance, (Captain) somehow manages to stand up.
Man: Excuse me... Are you planning to escape?
Nicholas: Yes. Hopefully along with everyone else. Fortunately, my Gigante Suit seems to be functioning properly. I'm sure we'll be able to make it out of here.
(Captain), weapon still in hand, is feeling a lot better.
If it comes down to it, (Captain) should be able to hold out in battle, more or less.
The people raise their voices in unison and vow to escape.
Nicholas: All right, let's head out. (Captain) and I will go ahead to make sure it's safe.
And thus the plan to escape from the abominations' lair is set in motion.
Robomi Z - Chapter 2: Clash with Tyrias the Destroyer! - Episode 4
As they make their escape, (Captain) and the others learn of Tyrias's plot to bring all people under his control. Nicholas leaps at Tyrias in an attempt to stop him, but (Captain) loses consciousness before the attack lands. The next thing they know, (Captain) and the others are in the middle of a devastated town. They realize that they have been turned into abominations and become Tyrias's pawns.
Nicholas: Everyone's here. Good.
Woman: There don't seem to be any abominations around either. What a relief.
Abomination 1: ...
Nicholas: Wha? B-behind you!
Woman: Huh?
A single abomination suddenly appears behind the woman.
Abomination 1: Grah.
Woman: Aaaaah!
Abomination 1: Mrgrooogah.
But the abomination leaves without doing anything.
Woman: Huff... Huff...
Nicholas: That wasn't good for my heart... But why didn't that thing attack us?
Man: Maybe it thinks that as long as we're in the abominations' lair, there's no chance of us getting away.
Nicholas: Considering what just happened, you may be right.
Nicholas: But there has to be a way! We're all going to get out of here alive!
Nicholas: I'm going to make it back to Marie!
Half saying it to persuade himself, Nicholas starts to move forward.
Clinging to Nicholas's sense of hope, (Captain) and the others follow after him.
Nicholas: I see light ahead of us. Is that the exit?
They can finally get out of this terrible place. A wave of relief washes over the group.
But a voice stops them dead in their tracks.
Terrified Man: Um... Why were we brought here?
Tyrias: Why? To breed.
Terrified Man: B-breed?
Tyrias: We're on the brink of extinction from fighting with your kind. We don't have the numbers we need to conquer the skies.
Nicholas: Conquer the skies? And what do you mean by breeding?
Nicholas and (Captain) begin to tremble at the revelation of Tyrias the Destroyer's objective.
Terrified Man: Please, I beg you! I don't care what happens to me, but please don't hurt my daughter Airi!
Tyrias: Then teach me about people. Why is that particular life-form special to you?
Terrified Man: B-because she's my daughter! That's why!
Girl: Ngh...
Tyrias: ...
Tyrias: Very well. Only a limited number can be used to breed anyway.
Tyrias grabs the man by the neck and stabs him with his sword.
Nicholas: !
Man's Voice: Urgh! Aaaaah!
Girl's Voice: Nooooo! Papa, Papa!
A strange substance flows into the man from Tyrias's sword.
Nicholas: W-what are you doing?
Upon witnessing this horrifying sight, Nicholas leaps at Tyrias in a frenzy before (Captain) has a chance to stop him.
Nicholas: Stop it!
Tyrias: Heh.
As the two are about to cross blades, (Captain) suddenly loses consciousness.
Nicholas: Urgh...
Nicholas: What happened? Everything suddenly went black.
The next thing they know, they're in an unfamiliar town.
Nicholas: Where... are we? What happened to this place?
Man: From the looks of it, this place must have been attacked by abominations.
Woman: Looks like the Robomis were no match for them. There are pieces scattered all over the place.
Nicholas: I see...
Nicholas: There don't seem to be any people around here. Were they all taken to the abominations' lair?
Nicholas: (Captain), let's look for an airship. It doesn't matter if it's broken. I'll fix it.
Nicholas: Huh?
Nicholas peers at the faces of (Captain) and their companions one after another.
Nicholas: H-hey, (Captain). I just noticed something...
Nicholas: Why didn't I realize it sooner? (Captain)! Look!
Nicholas picks up a broken mirror and hands it to (Captain).
(Captain): ...?
(Captain)'s face is reflected in the mirror.
The captain simply stares at the reflection in confusion, not understanding what Nicholas is implying.
Nicholas: (Captain)! You don't get it? Everyone here has turned into an abomination, including you!
Man and Woman: ...!
(Captain) gasps. Thinking back, it's true that the captain's appearance has changed.
Nicholas: I didn't even notice that everyone had turned into abominations. Does that mean I'm an abomination too?
What happened to their bodies? Why are they here? What happened while they were unconscious?
(Captain) and the others struggle to scrape together the remaining fragments of their memories in order to understand their situation.

The people's terrified glances and the Defense Force's smoking guns. All are pointed at them.
Nicholas: Are we the ones who attacked the town?
Tyrias: Correct. I came to see the results of the battle, and I daresay they have exceeded my expectations.
Nicholas: Damn you!
Tyrias: The two of you have had the biggest hand in reducing our numbers. I was fortunate to have you both fall into my grasp.
Nicholas: What did you do to us?
Tyrias: As you can see, you've become abominations. My cells—the cells of an abomination—have been implanted into you.
Tyrias: You will follow my orders and destroy our mortal enemies. And then I will rule what remains.

The moment Nicholas moves to attack Tyrias, (Captain) loses consciousness once again.
The reason Tyrias the Destroyer abducted people and brought them to that lair—

Robomi Z - Chapter 3: A Cry for Justice! - Episode 1
Dr. Rashomon and the researchers still haven't been able to locate (Captain) and Nicholas. Suddenly, an alarm sounds to signal an abomination attack. The research vessel members and Grandcypher crew fight desperately to protect the town.
Researcher: Dr. Rashomon!
Dr. Rashomon: Did something happen?
Researcher: Well... The letter you sent to Daimon was returned.
Researcher: The prison where Daimon was being held was attacked by abominations. The whereabouts of the people that were there are unknown.
Dr. Rashomon: I see...
Dr. Rashomon takes the letter and closes his eyes momentarily.
Dr. Rashomon: Well, were you able to find out where Nicholas and (Captain) were taken?
Researcher: Unfortunately, no... We've checked all over, but we haven't had any luck yet.
Dr. Rashomon: So we still don't know where they are...
Dr. Rashomon: So that's our current situation. All we can do right now is pray for good news.
Lyria: ...
Hallessena: Ngh... Sniff... (Captain)... Nicholas...
Marie: I'm so sorry, Hallessena... I know you're worried about Nicholas...
Vyrn: Anyway, we gotta do what we can to save them!
Hallessena: Yeah!
Dr. Rashomon: For now, we need to work on improving our weapons so they'll work against these new abominations.
(Captain) and Nicholas. The Grandcypher crew and the researchers have each lost their linchpin.
Somehow managing to recover, they rack their brains trying to come up with a way to defeat Tyrias.

Vyrn: What? (Captain)'s on this island?
Lyria: I'm sure of it!
Lyria: I'm sorry, everyone! I'm going to go look for (Captain)!

Dr. Rashomon: Right. Find him for us, Marie.
Vyrn: Man! Why'd a bunch of monsters have to appear now!
Dr. Rashomon: It seems our enemies won't wait for us to finish our preparations.
Dr. Rashomon: City Defense Force! I can't say I have much confidence in our current weapons, but we're going out there!
City Defender 1: Yes sir! We'll fulfill our duty until Nicholas returns!
Dr. Rashomon: Marie, you take the people who can't fight and lead them to the bridge of the ship.
Dr. Rashomon: It's equipped with a powerful repulsion field generator. We threw it together in a rush, but it should still be safer there than outside.

A number of City Defense Force members take off running toward the airship.
City Defender 2: Doctor! We found Nicholas!

Vyrn: What about (Captain)?
City Defender 2: I don't know! Nicholas was surrounded by a group of abominations!
Lyria: Oh no! We have to save him!
Dr. Rashomon: Right! I certainly hope (Captain) is safe as well!
Lyria: There are abominations here too!
Hallessena: Don't worry! I'll keep everybody safey-safe!
Robomi Z - Chapter 3: A Cry for Justice! - Episode 1: Scene 2
(Captain) and Nicholas march through town amongst a group of abominations targeting the research vessel. Unable to defy Tyrias's orders, the two wreak destruction. Their friends are overjoyed when they spot Nicholas, but their joy turns to fear upon witnessing Nicholas destroying his own inventions.
Hallessena: Tee-hee-hee! I'll cut you all into pieces with my Divine Death Saw of Death!
Hallessena gives the abominations a good beatdown.
Abominations: Grabaabaah!
Hallessena: You abominations don't scare me! Outta the waaaaay!
Lyria: (Captain), where are you? Please answer me!
Unconcerned for their own safety, Hallessena, Lyria, and the researchers continue their fight to rescue their friends.
And at long last, they are reunited.
Nicholas: This is bad! We're getting closer to the research vessel!
At this rate, they're going to end up killing their friends.
In order to avoid consequences too terrible to consider, (Captain) and the others attempt to resist Tyrias's control. However...
Lyria: There he is! Nicholas!
Dr. Rashomon: Marie! Can you see him? Nicholas is safe!
Marie: Nicholas!
Safe within the shelter protected by the repulsion field, Marie desperately peers into the imaging device to see what's happening outside.
Marie breathes a sigh of relief as she spots Nicholas's blurry figure.
Hallessena: Doc, Doc! I'll beat up all the abominations and protect Nicholas!
Dr. Rashomon: I know you will! Start with the ones around Nicholas!
Their friends unknowingly continue to march toward their doom.
Hallessena: Hyaaah! I'll keep Nicholas safey-safe so he can come back to Marie!

Hallessena is unable to hide her shock as Nicholas destroys the Robomi replicas in front of her eyes. As abominations flood into the research vessel, Tyrias asks Marie what makes him different from Nicholas, and Marie replies: everything. Hearing this, Tyrias commands (Captain) and Nicholas to finish off Hallessena.
Nicholas: ...!
Halle... ssena...
Halle... ssena...
Hallessena: Nicholas? W-what're you doing? I thought that was important to you...
Nicholas: Run... away...
Nicholas: Graaaah!
Hallessena: Eek!
Nicholas would never destroy the machines that he had created.
Nicholas's terrifying state freezes Hallessena in her tracks.

Dr. Rashomon: Nicholas... destroyed the replica and Gigantes?
Will: Is that another abomination made to look like him?
Marie: No... That's definitely Nicholas!

The Defense Force members can't hide their shock at Nicholas destroying the Robomi replicas. The abominations take that opportunity to advance toward the research vessel.

Researcher: B-but Doctor!
Seeing the clouds of smoke billowing up from the research vessel, Dr. Rashomon realizes that the abominations have already infiltrated the airship.

The beasts invading the Rashomon Research Vessel destroy the Robomis and Giganteses one after another.
And finally, they take aim at an old robot in the back of the hangar.

Nicholas swings his blade down upon a collapsed Hallessena, but he is stopped by the Robomi prototype, who turns out to be the original Robomi. With her overwhelming firepower, she fends off Nicholas and (Captain) and breaks Tyrias's control over them. The abominations rally to attack Robomi.
Hallessena: Sniff...
Nicholas: Ugh... Aaah!
Nicholas and (Captain) desperately try to resist the power controlling their bodies.
Nicholas: Stop it... Stop!
But the abomination cells infesting their bodies force them to swing their swords mercilessly.

Hallessena: Urgh... Sniff...

Nicholas's blade is stopped by a familiar steel figure.

The Robomi prototype slowly raises both arms.
The prototype then unleashes all the weapons at its disposal in a furious attack on Nicholas and (Captain).

(Captain) and Nicholas go down in an instant. Their bodies are freed from Tyrias the Destroyer's control.

Robomi: This body is the prototype that you created, Nicholas.
Robomi: But inside this frame resides the one who was excavated from Valtz. The one who fought at your side—

Robomi: Your voice gave me the power to fight once more.

Tyrias motions at (Captain) and the others as he issues a command.
Nicholas: ...!
Tyrias: Impossible! Why aren't you attacking?
Nicholas: His orders aren't working on us?
Robomi: I destroyed the command receptors of the abomination cells that were transplanted into your bodies.
Nicholas: What? I don't remember giving you a weapon like that...
Robomi: I terminated the function of all abomination cells, aside from those related to sustaining life.
Robomi: Nicholas, (Captain). I advise you to stand.
Robomi: Defeat Tyrias the Destroyer in order to protect the things that are precious to you. We need your power.
Nicholas: Right! Let's go, Robomi!
Robomi: There is no need to worry. I will protect you no matter what.

Robomi Z - Chapter 4: The Steel Warrior Returns! - Episode 1
Tyrias is narrowly defeated. Upon learning that the abomination who fought by their side is actually (Captain), the Grandcypher and research vessel crews celebrate the return of their friends. But the City Defense Force appears, weapons pointed at (Captain) and the other mutated people, refusing to believe that they are no longer enemies. (Captain) and the others leave the research vessel in order to protect their friends.
Tyrias: Urgh!
Nicholas: All right, let's finish this! Time to use our special move, Robomi!
Robomi: Understood, Nicholas.
Robomi: Anti-repulsion field charging. Thrusters focused at full power. Preparing to fire.
Nicholas: Now! Hyper Megaton Kick!

Tyrias: (What is this emotion? I don't... wish to continue fighting?)

Upon learning that (Captain) and the others defended a town against an abomination attack, Tyrias grows resentful. He bombards one of his prisoners—a young woman named Airi—with question after question. Tyrias seems to use her as a walking dictionary that he keeps by his side in order to better understand people. He recalls his feelings of discomfort when he was hugged by Marie.

They head to the village to find Dr. Rashomon's older brother, Daimon, waiting for them.

Hybrid 1: Four. Three of them were ruffians.
Nicholas: Okay... Let's destroy the command receptors of the people being manipulated and bring them under our protection.

(Captain) and Nicholas, along with Daimon and their hybrid comrades, band together to face Tyrias and his Abomination Empire. Learning of this, Tyrias unleashes the empire's secret weapon in order to crush the hope of the people. It turns out that Tyrias had created the Abomination Empire with the purpose of mass-producing Zogoras, creatures capable of fighting against Robomi.
Kenji: Ah, there they are now.
Daimon: There aren't many of them. Let's settle this quickly.
Nicholas: Right! Hybrids, head out! Keep an eye on the movements of the Robomis and City Defense Force.
Many of the people from the hybrid village have decided to fight with Nicholas and his companions. And thus, the tides of battle have turned.

By joining forces, Robomi, Nicholas, and (Captain) are narrowly able to defeat the Zogoras.
Despite having succeeded in restoring peace to the town, their expressions are grim.

Back in the Abomination Empire, Nicholas makes a strange demand of Airi: He asks her to embrace him like Marie did before. In Airi's arms, Tyrias notices the differences between her and Marie, and thus he is finally able to grasp the meaning of Marie's words. In doing so, he gains a deeper understanding of people and their relationships to each other.
Tyrias: I see. So the hybrids have made their move.
Hybrid 3: What are your orders, Lord Tyrias?
Tyrias: Suspend all other abomination deployments.
Tyrias: Focus all our efforts against them.

At long last, the hybrid rebel forces, led by (Captain) and Nicholas, launch their attack on the Abomination Empire. The group is delayed by the abominations' fierce counteroffensive, but the hybrids convince (Captain) and Nicholas to continue on while they deal with the abominations.
Nicholas: Let's move out! We're going to defeat the Emperor of Destruction and restore peace to the skies!

Robomi and Dr. Rashomon convince the Defense Force to join them in the fight against the Abomination Empire.

Robomi: No. At one point they fell into the hands of the Emperor of Destruction, but they later returned to their senses. And they have continued to fight in secret.
Robomi: All of them understand your fear of the abominations. That is why they had no choice but to deceive you.

The hybrids fall in battle one after another, but just as all seems lost, the City Defense Force comes to their aid. Tyrias releases all of the remaining Zogoras into the fray, but Super Robo Gigantes, piloted by Hallessena, is there to greet them. Following Hallessena's lead, (Captain) and Nicholas launch their own attack on the Zogoras.
Abomination 1: Mrgraaah!
Hybrid 3: Urgh...
Hybrid 1: I guess this is the end of the road...
Hybrid 2: I wonder if (Captain) and Nicholas made it okay?
Hybrid 1: They're strong. I'm sure they did.

Hybrid 2: Then I suppose that means we've fulfilled our duty.
The hybrids go down one after another. Only a small number of them can still fight.

Tyrias—unfazed by the countless people he has transformed into his pawns up to this point—acts upon his emotions for the first time.

Tyrias reunites with (Captain) and Nicholas upon a mountain of abomination corpses. Confused after being turned on by his own species, Tyrias asks the reason why people fight against the abominations. Finding his own reason to fight, he absorbs the abomination corpses around him to transform into a giant and challenges Nicholas and the others to battle once more.
Tyrias: ...
Nicholas: Why is Tyrias fighting the abominations?
Tyrias: Why indeed? I don't understand it either.
Tyrias awaits Nicholas and the others, standing amidst a sea of abomination corpses.
Tyrias: Answer me this. Until recently, you had no chance of winning this battle. Why do you continue to stand and fight?
Tyrias: And furthermore, how did you come to join forces with the hybrids who were once your enemies?
Tyrias: Being a replication of a person, I have imitations of your emotions as well. And yet there are so many things I don't understand.
Tyrias: Why do the abominations lose? How is it that you are winning? Where do you find the fortitude to stand against us?
They listen to Tyrias's stream of questions and answer with conviction.
Nicholas: There are as many reasons for us to fight as there are people.

Kenji: So that you abominations don't cause anyone else to feel sorrow.

Tyrias draws the corpses of the abominations in around himself.
One by one they are absorbed into his body, adding to his mass.

Tyrias is defeated by Rashomon and Daimon's secret weapon, combined with Nicholas and Robomi's special equipment. Without the support of their family and friends, they would have had no chance at winning. The abominations may continue to be a threat, but armed with that which the abominations lack—love—people will continue to grasp victory.
Tyrias: Curses!
Nicholas: Did we get him?
Robomi: Not yet. The Emperor of Destruction is still growing.
Tyrias continues consuming abomination remains and grows even larger.
Tyrias: Hahahahaha! You cannot defeat me!
Tyrias: My power far exceeds your own! I have twelve thousand repulsion fields at my disposal!
Dr. Rashomon: He's enormous! He's easily twice the size of Super Robo Gigantes!

Will: Ah, (Captain) and the crew. Don't be alarmed; I'm simply trying on a taxidermied abomination.
Lyria: Um. Okay...
Will: Watching you fight against the abominations, I had an idea for an experiment.
Lyria: An experiment?
Will: Much like what Tyrias's special cells did, I thought I might try my hand at turning a person into an abomination.
Vyrn: We just got out of that nightmare—why would you wanna go back?
Will: Ahahaha. Because curiosity is a curious thing, my friend. And none are more curious than me.
Will: Of course, I've made up other reasons for those who may not find my true intentions palatable.
Nicholas: Actually, we asked for Will's help.
Dr. Rashomon: Previous battles have shown us how abominations determine their enemies. We think we might be able to use that to our advantage.
Nicholas: Maybe we could find a way to disguise ourselves as one of them.

Dr. Rashomon: That was far more difficult than I anticipated—I'm not sure how practical mass production would be.
Daimon: Humph. We did well for a first attempt. Mass production and its problems can be dealt with later—right now we need to test the prototype.

Daimon: I concur. I too contributed to this project and thus have an equal right to its maiden voyage.
