A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Opening

(Captain) and company receive a letter from Yurius inviting them to visit Levin's hot spring district. Seofon arrives at the Grandcypher in time to hear this news and decides to gather the Eternals for a get-together in Levin.

One afternoon on the Grandcypher, (Captain) stands on the deck enjoying the gentle breeze.
Vyrn: Hey, (Captain)! There's a letter for ya!
Lyria: It's from Yurius! Let's take a look at what it says, (Captain)!
The captain receives the letter from Vyrn and opens it right away, scanning the neatly written lines on the paper.
"Greetings.
It has been a while since we last met, (Captain). I hope this finds all of you well."
"As for Albert and myself, we have been continuously presented with difficulties to overcome. But our efforts are not in vain, and Levin is well on its way to recovery."
"His Majesty has also been overseeing the development of our hot spring district. I am happy to say that it has become quite lively with the recent influx of tourists."
Vyrn: The guy sure doesn't take a break. He's plowing through things as usual, huh?
Lyria: Hehe. I'm glad to hear that he's happy with what he's doing!
The three of them look at one another and smile. (Captain) thinks back to the time they visited the kingdom of Levin.
As an illegitimate child of the previous king, Yurius had suffered much cold treatment until he could bear it no longer, finally killing his own father.
The primal beast Destructio took that opportunity to take over Yurius's body.
Destructio possessed the power to amplify its host's impulse to destroy, leading Yurius to go on a rampage.
With Destructio's power and a weapon known as the "Celestial Eye," Yurius's actions ended up pushing the kingdom of Levin to the brink of devastation.
It was then that (Captain) and Albert rushed to Levin.
Together, they defeated the Celestial Eye, restoring Yurius's sanity at the end of the battle and saving the kingdom from destruction.
Vyrn: Before, Yurius had been trying to rebuild Levin while hidin' the fact that he'd killed the previous king...
Vyrn: But now that he's pardoned thanks to the current king, he can finally work confidently as the Disaster Operations Planning Executive!
Lyria: And at the same time, he's able to make amends by devoting himself to the kingdom. Thanks to that, it seems Levin is doing much better now.
Lyria: Hehe. It's so nice to see that everything's going well!
  1. Agreed!

Choose: Agreed!
Vyrn: So what does the rest of the letter say, (Captain)?
"Actually, there is a reason for my sudden correspondence."
"I owe you a great debt for having saved our kingdom. Thus, I would like to repay some of it by sending you a personal invitation to our hot spring district."
"I must admit, Albert and I may not be able to take the time to oversee your entire visit..."
"But it would be my pleasure to arrange accommodations for you at a reputable inn. I promise it will be a relaxing time at the hot springs, complete with scrumptious grape juice—both in which Levin prides itself."
"Both Albert and I look forward to your visit.
Sincerely, Yurius."
Lyria: Wow! An invitation to the hot springs?
Vyrn: We've been to Levin a few times, but I guess we never got to really look around the place.
Vyrn: Since Yurius went outta his way to send us this, we should go give 'em a visit, (Captain)!
  1. Great idea!

Choose: Great idea!
Seofon: What's this? Did I hear something about a trip to the hot springs?
Lyria: Oh, Seofon!

The Eternals—a crew made up of ten warriors who are masters of their respective weapons.
Seofon, the sword-wielder of the crew, acts as leader of the Eternals and often takes care of the other members.
Once, the Crew of Enforcers had tried to hunt down Seox, a member of the Eternals, suspecting him of being the culprit responsible for the Karm Clan Massacre.

Lyria: That's right! We received a letter from a friend in Levin asking us to visit their hot spring district!
Seofon: Levin? You mean the island that's famous for the thunderclouds drifting above it?
Vyrn: Yeah! You know about it?
Seofon: I am the leader of the Eternals, you know.
Seofon: Rumors are they're very traditional, with a strong focus on combat power. I had no idea they had something like a hot spring district.
Lyria: They do! Apparently they have something called a "lightning bath" that gives you a nice tingle when you soak in it!
Vyrn: They're famous for a lotta delicious stuff like grape juice and hot springs manju too!
Seofon: Whoa, I didn't know that!
Seofon: Hm. Yeah, hot springs would be nice right about now.
Lyria: What do you mean by that?
Seofon: Well, as you know, we Eternals had a few disagreements with the Crew of Enforcers before.
Seofon: That was when we got together for the first time in a while—to fight against the Crew of Enforcers and to protect Seox.
Seofon: But you know, I think it'd be nice if we could gather not only when someone's in trouble, but just to eat and hang out once in a while.
Seofon: A hot spring district sounds like the perfect place to have a get-together, don't you think?
Lyria: A hot spring get-together? That sounds wonderful!
Seofon: Doesn't it? Everyone can soak in the baths, go shopping, and relax however they want.
Seofon: So how about it, (Captain)? Mind if we Eternals tagged along on your trip?
  1. You're welcome anytime!
  2. But why do we have to go together?

Choose: You're welcome anytime!
Seofon: Really? You're the sweetest, (Captain)!
Seofon: (Phew, I was so worried the captain'd ask something like "But why?" Besides, I say I'm inviting everyone, but there's no way all nine of the others are going to show up...)

Choose: But why do we have to go together?
Seofon: Wha? So... is that a no?
Lyria: Hmm. Wouldn't we get in the way of your crew's get-together?
Seofon: Of course not! You are all such good friends, and are always welcome to join us!
Seofon: Oh yeah! And if there's anyone in your crew who can't make it to the trip, I'll get them some souvenirs! My treat! I'll buy them everything they want!
Vyrn: Uh, you sound kinda desperate... You're not usin' (Captain) as bait so all of the Eternals will agree to come, are ya?
Seofon: Ahaha... Uhh... Was it that obvious?
  1. Yep.

Choose: Yep.
Seofon: Ahh, darn...
(Guess I have no choice but to use my last resort!)
Seofon puts his hands together and turns to the captain.
Seofon: Please, O great (Captain)! Lend me your strength to hold a get-together for the Eternals!
Vyrn: Maybe it's time you stopped messin' around with him, (Captain)... What if someone sees this and gets the wrong idea?
Lyria: Please, you don't have to beg us like that, Seofon!
(Captain) cracks a grin and nods at Seofon, welcoming him and the other Eternals to join the crew's vacation.
Seofon: Ahaha, oh thank goodness... You really like to tease, don't you, (Captain)?
Continue 2
Lyria: I'm sure the more people, the merrier! I'm excited to see everyone again!
Vyrn: Maybe we can get accommodations at the same place! We'll ask Yurius about it.
Seofon: Thanks a bunch, (Captain)! Then I'll let everyone in my crew know.
And with that, (Captain) and company begin to make their preparations for a trip to the hot springs of Levin.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 1: To the Levin Hot Springs! - Episode 1

When Seofon, Seox, and (Captain)'s crew reach the hot spring district, only Feower and Tien are present at the meeting place. Albert and Yurius arrive and talk about the recent developments occurring in Levin thanks to the current king, Audric. Just then, Audric and Jeno appear.

(Captain) sends Yurius a letter while Seofon contacts the other members of the Eternals. Not long after, they settle on a date for a two-night, three-day trip.
Finally, the day of their vacation arrives. The Grandcypher docks at Levin, and the crew—together with Seofon and Seox, who are traveling with them—make their way off the ship.
They head to the tourist information center, where the Eternals have been told to meet at.
Seofon: What? That's... everyone?
Tien & Feower: ...

Waiting at the information center are Tien and Feower, twins who protect Stardust Town where many children who have no other place to go now call their home.

Seox: So, including me, just four people.

Seox is a crew member

The man in the mask is Seox. In addition to being an Eternal, he is a seasoned assassin and the sole survivor of the Karm clan.

Seofon: Haaang on a second! Tell me you've seen someone else in our crew here!
Tien: Mm... We haven't bumped into anyone else. We've only just arrived ourselves.
Feower: Are you sure you told everyone the correct time and meeting place?
Seofon: So you're doubting me now? Of course I did!
Feower: Then, don't you think they would be here by now? If they actually knew (Captain) was coming, no one would be skipping out like this.
Seofon: Well, I mean, you have a point. Still...
(You don't have to be so blunt...)
Lyria: What should we do? We were hoping we could enjoy this vacation together...
Tien: We don't know where everyone was when they received Seofon's message, so maybe it's just taking a while for them to get here.
Tien: But then again, Tweyen and Anre are never the type to be late... I wonder if something came up.
Albert: You've arrived. It's good to see you, (Captain). You too, Vyrn. Lyria.
Lyria: Albert! Yurius! It's been a while!
Yurius: I'm happy you came.
Is this your friend, (Captain)?
Yurius: It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Yurius.
Seofon: The pleasure is mine. My name is Seofon, and I serve as leader of the Eternals.
Seofon: Thank you for graciously including us in your plans. We appreciate it.
Yurius: You are most welcome. It's an honor to have our very own hot spring district chosen to be your place of gathering.
Yurius: We hope you can rest your weary bodies and enjoy our hot springs to your hearts' content.
Seofon: Thank you, I'm looking forward to doing so.
Vyrn: Hey, I've been wonderin' for a while. Is that a yukata you're wearing, Yurius?
Yurius: That's right. Albert once visited Auguste to observe their culture, you see.
Yurius: Among the souvenirs he brought back was a yukata, which seemed such a good fit for our hot springs I had the idea adopted immediately.
Yurius: This yukata was made for renting to tourists. I am currently testing its wearability, and it is much more comfortable than I'd expected.
Vyrn: So that's how it is! I gotta say, it's just like you to test it out on yourself first.
Yurius: For safety reasons, yukatas are not allowed to be worn in certain areas, but anywhere within the hot spring district shouldn't be a problem.
Yurius: If you would like to acquire one for wearing in town, you can rent it at the district entrance. You can wear your own yukata as well, of course.
Lyria: Okay! Let's go get ours from the ship later, (Captain)!
Vyrn: Speaking of which, are you okay with walkin' outside like this now, Yurius? I remember you were trying to keep a low profile before.
Albert: Yes. The people have seen and acknowledged Yurius's efforts toward our kingdom.
Albert: Though, that still doesn't mean he's not in danger of being the target of an assassination. I always tell him to bring guards, but he never listens.
Yurius: You worry too much, my friend. What sort of knight has other knights guarding him?
Albert: You're a Disaster Operations Planning Executive now, remember?
Yurius: Of course I remember. And as an executive, I've done my duty to ensure my own safety.
Yurius subconsciously reaches back to put a hand to where his tentacles—the primal beast Destructio—lay hidden.
Albert: For heaven's sake... At least I'm here to accompany you, if only for today.
Lyria: I'm so glad to hear that you can walk around outside now! I've only seen a little of the entrance, but the hot spring district seems to be doing very well!
Vyrn: The port had a lot more tourists than I remember from last time too. Your hard work's really paid off!
Yurius: Our efforts alone could not have brought such excellent results. It is thanks to His Majesty's generous investments.
Vyrn: Oh yeah, you mentioned that in your letter too. Are you talkin' about that new king who always looks nervous?
Yurius: Yes. Though he's done more than enough to remove the "new" from his title.
Albert: Lately, His Majesty has been stepping up and voicing his opinions at our assemblies.
Yurius: His Majesty believes that learning spaces must be available in order for people to build a new mentality and a resistance to outside influence. As such, he has been teaching in town himself.
Yurius: He has been holding lectures on history through storytelling with pictures, calling it the "Audric Theatre." It's very popular with both children and adults.
Yurius: The people are charmed by his gentle demeanor and have been giving more and more of their support.
Vyrn: The king's holdin' lectures himself? That's new!
Lyria: Amazing! But, hm...
Lyria: What does "Audric" in "Audric Theatre" mean?
Albert: Hm? Audric is His Majesty's name.
Ah, I suppose there haven't been many chances for him to be called by name since his enthronement.
Yurius: Audric Levin is the current king of our land.
Yurius: It seems he wished to be a historian before he ascended the throne.
Yurius: No one can surpass him when it comes to talking about the history of Levin.
Vyrn: Haha, sounds like he's grown a lot! I'd like to see that for myself!
Lyria: Me too! It sounds like he's become a very confident and dependable person!
Jeno: We're back.
Audric: ...
Albert: Ah, perfect timing.
(Captain) and company shift their eyes to the door, where Audric and the large figure of a man are standing.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 1: To the Levin Hot Springs! - Episode 2

As it turns out, Audric is in the hot spring district to observe its activities, with Jeno to accompany him as the king's personal guard. The crew is happy to learn that Audric and Yurius have been getting along well. However, when Lyria refers to the two as siblings, Yurius cuts the conversation short and leaves with Albert to attend to their work.

Lyria: Hello, Mr. King!
Audric: ...
Lyria: H-huh?
Audric's Voice: No... Too many people... Too many...
Vyrn: Uh, did he just go straight into the room at the back?
Jeno: His Majesty is tired from his excursion. Give him some time.
Lyria: Oh, you're... from the Order of the Sky Knights, aren't you?
Albert: Not anymore. He's since left the Sky Knights and now serves as the king's personal guard.
Jeno: His Majesty has extreme social anxiety and sometimes goes off on his own. My job is to be his chaperone on such occasions.
Yurius: At first, the people who'd never seen a werewolf before were wary of Jeno, but they've grown more comfortable with him since.
Lyria: Oh, that's why you decided to take off the helmet too! I'm glad we can finally see your face. It's so fluffy and cute!
Jeno: What... Cute?
Audric's Voice: I want to go home... I want to hide in the library...
Albert: Jeno, it seems His Majesty is quite fatigued. Are you sure he should still be out here?
Jeno: I suggested that we retire for the day as well, but His Majesty insisted on continuing today's activities.
Jeno: If the situation devolves further, I will carry him back to the inn with my own two hands if I have to.
Yurius: His Majesty doesn't back down once he's set on something. Reminds me of a certain friend I have who wouldn't give up sending a reclusive man sandwiches.
Albert: Do you really have to mention that now?
Albert: Anyway, I just hope the king won't push himself too hard in his endeavors...
Feower: It's quite the party in here.
Seofon: (Captain) does have a lot of connections. It's no surprise the captain has so many friends in this country too.
Tien: I feel bad for intruding like this.
Tien: Seofon, would it be all right if Feower and I looked around outside? We'll scan the area to see if anyone else we know is here.
Seofon: Sure. I'm going to wait here for a while longer. What about you, Seox?
Seox: I'll stay here. It'd be less trouble than having to meet up with everyone again later.
Audric: Huh? That voice just now...
Audric: Sir Yurius! Sir Albert! And... is that you, (Captain)?
Jeno: Hm. Have you recovered, Your Majesty?
Audric: I-I'm v-very sorry! I went past all of you earlier without even a greeting...
Audric: W-welcome to L-Levin, (Captain). Um, I-I'm glad to... to... um...
Yurius: Take a deep breath, Your Majesty. No one is here to judge you.
Audric: R-right! Deep breath!
Vyrn: Haha! I heard you've grown since we last saw ya, but I guess some things never change!
Audric: I apologize... How very embarrassing...
Lyria: Actually, I'm glad to see that you're getting along so well with Yurius and Jeno, Your Majesty!
Jeno: Yes, Yurius and I have had many chances to meet while participating in the king's study sessions. We've gotten to know each other a lot better.
Jeno: My apology comes late, but I'm sorry for having treated you unjustly while not being aware of your circumstances.
Yurius: It is in the past, my friend.
Vyrn: Are these "study sessions" where you teach the king how to gather data like you promised before?
Yurius: That's right. A former convict such as myself is in no position to be alone with His Majesty, which is why Jeno is there to accompany the king during our sessions.
Audric: Speaking of our studies, Sir Yurius is amazing! There's nothing that he doesn't know!
Yurius: Of course there is. You know far more than me when it comes to history. Your telling of Bront the Thunderous's accomplishments the other day was most intriguing.
Jeno: I was pleasantly surprised. His Majesty didn't stop talking until a good half of the day had already passed.
Vyrn: Half of the day? Boy, that's long...
Audric: Oh, no, it wasn't nearly enough time!
Yurius: Definitely not enough.
Jeno: Not enough, you say?
Audric: Not even close! I could keep conversing with Sir Yurius for a month!
Yurius: It would be my pleasure—though, regrettably, it would be difficult to take out such time.
Vyrn: Wow, you guys really get along with each other!
Lyria: Hehe. You're wonderful siblings!
Audric: Siblings...
Yurius: ...
Lyria: Huh? Oh, um...
Yurius: Speaking of which, Albert, isn't it almost time for our meeting with the association head?
Albert: Hm? Oh yeah, we should get going.
Yurius: I'm sorry we can't stay longer, (Captain). We'll be excusing ourselves here. I wish you a very pleasant stay.
Yurius and Albert make a graceful bow to Audric before exiting the information center.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 1: To the Levin Hot Springs! - Episode 3

Seofon learns from Audric that Anre is also in town. (Captain) and company each receive a map of the district from Audric, on the back of which are spaces for stamps that can be collected around town to win a prize upon completion. Audric parts with the crew to continue his observation, while Seofon and company go to search for the other Eternals.

Lyria: I'm very sorry... I...
Audric: N-not at all. It isn't your fault, Lyria.
Audric: Just that, I do not believe Sir Yurius is treating me kindly because he sees me as his younger brother...
Vyrn: Really? You guys seemed really in tune with each other.
Jeno: At the very least, Yurius is very clear cut on those sorts of things. He is a man with a strong sense of responsibility, after all.
Audric: ...
Audric: Um, by the way...
Audric shifts his gaze to Seofon and Seox, who are standing behind the crew.
Audric: Might the two of you be (Captain)'s friends?
Seofon: Yes. It is an honor to be in your presence, Your Majesty.
Seofon: I am indeed (Captain)'s friend, as well as the captain's mentor, caretaker, trusted partner, and crewmate.
Audric: A-ah...
Seofon: And my masked friend here is Seox. Though his mask can be intimidating, I assure you he poses no threat.
Seox: ...
Audric: H-hello...
Vyrn: Nothin' to worry about! Without his mask, he's just the same as you, King!
Seox: Wha... Don't touch my mask!
Seofon: Hey! This is an information desk, not a playground! Don't go running around breaking things!
Seox: Then why don't you do something about this lizard!
Audric: ...?
Seofon: If I may ask, how long has it been since your enthronement, Your Majesty?
Audric: Oh, er... Nearing a year and a half. The previous king suddenly passed away, you see...
Audric: Um.. I can't help but notice that your white cape looks very similar to your friend Seox's...
Seofon: Haha, I am flattered you noticed! This cape is proof that we belong to the Eternals.
Audric: The Eternals... Do you mean the skyfaring crew formed by ten of the skies' strongest warriors?
Seofon: Ah, you know of us! As it happens, I am the very leader of the Eternals!
Audric: The l-leader! Wow... That's amazing!
Seofon: A-amazing? You think?
(Ahh, he's such a good kid! Can't remember the last time I met someone this pure!)
Seox: Don't get too full of yourself. I can see you blowing it out of proportion.
Seofon: Oh, come on. You're so mean, Seox! It's true enough that I'm the leader!
Seofon: I must say, you have excellent discernment, Your Majesty, for noticing our capes! I suppose we simply couldn't hide our refinement from you!
Audric: Oh, you see... I saw someone wearing similar attire earlier. I believe he was a Harvin man...
Seox: Anre?
Seofon: Seems so. But why isn't he here when I specified this to be our meeting spot?
Seofon: May I ask where you saw this man, Your Majesty?
Audric: Um, I believe he was near the hot spring facility down the main street...
Audric: I-if you'd like, take this! Here is one for you as well, (Captain)!
Audric takes a few sheets of paper from the rack at the information desk and hands it to each member of the crew.
Lyria: Is this a map of the hot spring district?
Audric: Yes. Descriptions of each facility are included on the map, so it may prove useful for exploring the district.
Seofon: Much appreciated, Your Majesty.
Seofon: There seems to be something on the back as well. What is this?
Audric: That's for collecting stamps. Each shop or facility you visit will have a unique stamp that you can have imprinted on your sheet.
Audric: Once you have collected four stamps, you may enter the raffle once.
Lyria: Raffle?
Audric: Yes. There is a draw to win a variety of prizes.
Audric: Something extravagant awaits the winner of the special prize, so please try your best in collecting the stamps!
Seofon: Something extravagant, huh? My curiosity is piqued.
Audric: Look forward to finding out after you win!
Seofon: Right, of course!
But, Your Majesty... Might you be so kind as to tell me approximately what the prize entails?
Audric: Well... Um...
Jeno: Don't trouble His Majesty like that.
Well then, shall we proceed, Sire?
Audric: Oh, yes.
It was a pleasure to meet all of you. Until next time.
Audric and Jeno step away from the information desk and make their way outside.
Seox: Should we go look for Anre?
Seofon: Yeah. Doesn't look like anyone else is coming. We'd better go look for him.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 1: To the Levin Hot Springs! - Episode 4

The crew finds Fif, Eahta, and Narmaya enjoying a foot bath in town. Tien and Feower bring back Tweyen and Silva, and all of them soon find Anre and Threo in the middle of town. With news of Niyon having also arrived at Levin, Seofon is overjoyed that all ten Eternals are now gathered in one place.

(Captain) and company head outside to look around the hot spring district for the other Eternals. Soon enough, they spot a familiar trio.
Fif: Hey! Wait a sec, is that Seofon?
Fif: Seofooon! Over here!
Seofon: What're you doing lounging around here?
Eahta, you're here too.
Eahta: Yes.
Fif: Oh no! Did we go past the meeting time?
Fif: Sorry! It was my first time seeing a foot bath and I got so excited...

Fif is a member of the Eternals who, born with an immense amount of power, is a master of healing magic.
Next to her is Eahta, a disciplined katana-wielder who is traveling with Fif to oversee her growth and journey.

Narmaya is a skilled swordswoman who combines magic with her blade.
Narmaya once trained day and night for a long time in hopes of bringing herself closer to Eahta, or Zanba—both her distant relative and the bladesman she revered most.
Through crossing blades with Eahta, Narmaya was finally able to sort out her feelings. Since then, she, Eahta, and Fif have become good friends.

Seofon: Ah well, we're together now so all is well!
Lyria: I didn't know you were here too, Narmaya!
Narmaya: Yep! Fif said they were going on a trip to the hot springs and invited me to come along!
Narmaya: I heard that (Captain) was going to be there too, so I couldn't pass up on the chance!
Seofon: From what I was told about our accommodations, it didn't seem like it would make a difference if we invited one or two more people.
Seofon: Tweyen mentioned something about wanting to invite someone too... Ah, speaking of which.
Tien: Seofon! We found Tweyen.
Seofon: Oh good, you managed to find them!
Tweyen: I'm sorry I'm late.
Silva: Sorry... We were at the shop selling hot springs manju—a kind of jam bun that's popular here—and the owner kept giving us more and more to sample...

Seofon: Tweyen! I'm so glad you made it. A warm welcome to you too, Silva. Happy to see you.
Silva: Thank you for having me, and for making all the arrangements for my stay.
Tien: The shop owner was so kind. He even let Feower and I try so many different kinds of buns.
Feower: They tasted great, but he sure was pushy. If I didn't say no, he would've kept going on and on...
Tweyen: Hehe, that's true. I couldn't help but be pulled into the conversation... Thanks for cutting it short for us, Feower.
Tweyen: And again, I apologize for being late. As compensation, I bought manju for everyone, so please have some when we get to the inn.
Fif: Yay, manju! Thanks, Tweyen!
Seofon: All right, so that's seven of us. Now we just need to find Anre, Niyon, and Threo...
???: Get crushed!
Vyrn: Wha? Wasn't that...
Seofon: What in the skies is she doing in the middle of town? Come on, let's go!
Anre: Phew, that was close.
Mena: Oh m-my... Wh-what was that?
Threo: Anre! What're you gettin' in my way for? We're having a battle between the strongest of warriors here!
Anre: So Threo says. Are you also of the same understanding, miss?

Threo, a young warrior who grew up adhering to a strict creed of "survival of the fittest," stands tall after dealing a hit strong enough to blow away an entire building.
Anre, another member of the Eternals, is positioned close by, using his own power to protect the hot spring district from harm.
Continue 5
Mena: I-I'm only the s-s-strongest of my sisters... and I'm the only martial artist out of the three of us, so it doesn't mean much...
Anre: My apologies. Threo here is the strongest axe-wielder in the skies, you see.
Mena: In the skies? And the number one in the skies tried to fight me?
Mina: Mena! What was that loud noise just now?
Mena: Eep! Mina! Mona! Umm, well...
Mona: Hm... This calls for a scolding, doesn't it?
Mena: Nooo! Not a scolding!
Mina: Mena! Do you even know how to pick your opponents? How can you go starting fights so thoughtlessly!
Mena: All I said was that I was the best martial artist out of all my sisters! Then she just came and challenged me to a battle to decide "the strongest of them all"...
Mina: No excuses! Anyway, come here! You're in for a long lecture from me!
Mena: Eeeep! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!
Threo: Wha... So what's the deal? You're not actually the strongest?
Anre: It appears there was a misunderstanding. No reason for you to grow agitated here, Threo.
Threo: Okay, I'll wait! I'll wait until the next best fighter shows up!
Lyria: Mina! Mona! Mena! Long time no see!
Mina: You're here. I was informed of your arrival by Captain Albert. Thank you for coming to visit.
Seofon: Anre! Threo! There you are.
Anre: Apologies, Seofon. I lost sight of Threo when we were heading to the meeting place together.
Anre: I located her just now. Fortunately, no damage has been made to the town.
Seofon: Aha. I'm glad you came in time, Anre. Who knows what the consequences would've been otherwise...
Vyrn: And that's nine of ya. Now we just gotta find Niyon...
Anre: Niyon came on the same ship as us. She said she would head over to the inn first.
Seofon: Huh? Does that mean we've found everyone?
Feower: Seems so.
Seofon: Oooh, nice! We did it, (Captain)! Our get-together's happening—with all ten Eternals!
Lyria: Hehe. That's wonderful, Seofon!
Anre: Seofon has always said he wanted to gather everyone together for a meal. I'm also glad it is becoming reality.
Seofon: It's haaappening! This is a miracle, I'm telling you! This is the best day ever!
Seofon: Thanks so much for coming, everyone! I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life!
The hot springs trip that had been off to a rough start is finally coming together.
Seofon breaks out into a huge smile, glad that all of his crew was able to make it to the vacation destination.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 2: A Tour of the Hot Spring District - Episode 1

The crew splits up to enjoy the different activities around the district. Tien and Threo accompany Tweyen and Silva to the yumomi—or water cooling—facility, and the four use this time to get to know one another better. They enjoy a spectacular show at the facility and try stirring the water for themselves after.

With the sun still high in the sky, the crew decides it is too early to settle down at the inn. Instead, they take a walk around the town and collect stamps on their paper.
Tien: Sorry to keep you waiting, Tweyen. Silva. It took me a long time to tie the obi...
Threo: Ergh... Think I can take this off? The flappy sleeves make it hard to move in...
Tweyen: Apparently the yumomi facility we're going to next is quite humid inside, so wearing this will probably be for the best.
Threo: "Yumomi"? What kinda place is it anyway? Any good grub there?
Silva: Unfortunately, I don't think it's a place for dining.
Threo: Aw, come on, no food? Tch...
Tweyen: Oh, but we're thinking of getting some ice cream after a nice yumomi bath! So hang in there until then, okay?
Threo: Ice cream? Nice! All right, I'm in!
Tien: Mm... So what exactly is "yumomi"?
Silva: Since freshly boiled water is too hot to bathe in, it seems they stir the water around to cool it off. This practice is what they call "yumomi."
Tweyen: You see those pockets of water over there? That's also for cooling the water, by exposing it to the air and lowering the temperature that way.
Tien: I didn't know that... I always thought hot springs were simply pools of hot water to bathe in. I had no idea it involved so many procedures.
Silva: I never knew until I got here either.
Silva: Before all of you arrived, the shop owner I was talking to explained everything to me.
Tweyen: Speaking of which, where did Feower go? I was assuming he'd come along with you, Tien.
Tien: Oh, Feower's...
Feower: Yumomi? Who invited us?
Tien: Tweyen and Silva. They said they're planning to change into yukatas before heading over.
Feower: Hmph. I'll pass—sounds much too hot for my liking. I'll go take a walk around town.
Tien: I think he was being considerate and letting us have some girl time.
Tweyen: Ah... Oh no, I hope we're not making him feel left out.
Silva: I guess there are separate baths at hot springs... I should have realized that sooner.
Tien: Don't worry. Seofon, (Captain), and the others are there, so I'm sure Feower will still be able to enjoy himself.
Tweyen: I hope so. Well, since he went out of his way to let us have some girl time, let's make it worthwhile!
Silva: Yeah! I was so excited to meet your crew when I first heard about this trip.
Silva: Especially you, Tien—the gun-wielder of the Eternals. I've been looking forward to getting to know you.
Tweyen: Feel free to ask us about anything! No need to hold back, all right?
Tien: Mm... Thank you. Somehow, this reminds me of my older sister and everyone back home.
Silva: You have an older sister?
Tien: I... did. I'm the oldest now though.
Silva: Ah, that's right... In Stardust Town, all the children work together to survive, despite not being related to one another...
Silva: I, too, have sisters who aren't related to me by blood. One's just a bit older than you, Tien, while the other is a little younger.
Tien: Really?
Silva: They couldn't come with me on the trip this time, but hopefully I can bring back lots of souvenirs and stories for them.
Tien: I'd like to do that too. Let's enjoy ourselves the best we can, Silva.
Silva: You got it, Tien. We're going to have a great time.
Tweyen: Hehe, I'm glad the two of you are getting along so well already!
Threo: Hey, can we get going? If we don't hurry, the ice cream's gonna start melting!
Tweyen: Oops, sorry!
Tweyen: Let's head to the facility then. According to the map, it should be this way.
The four arrive at the facility just in time to catch the beginning of the yumomi show, performed by artisans who entertain their audience through song and billows of steam.
Silva: That was amazing! I was surprised they could produce columns of water that high!
Threo: Yumomi's kinda like what you do when you catch fish, huh? Not seeing any fish in there is weird.
Tweyen: Right... Although, I don't think there are a lot of people who catch fish by launching up the water like that...
Tien: There're so many people performing, yet they're in perfect synchronization. Amazing... I wonder if they time their movements to the song.
Facility Staff: That's right, miss! Just as their hearts are connected through song, naturally, so are their movements.
Tweyen: I see! The music makes things livelier too—it's a great idea.
Facility Staff: I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed it so thoroughly. Now it's your turn, dear guests! Come this way!
Threo: Wha? Our turn?
Silva: After the show, they let guests try yumomi for themselves too.
Threo: Oh yeah? So what am I supposed to do?
The staff member leads the four over to where the wooden boards used for yumomi are.
Facility Staff: You can stop at anytime if you feel tired. But if you can make it to the end, try to send the water up as high as you can and end it with a bang!
Threo: You mean like that humungous splash earlier? Can I really give it my all?
Facility Staff: Certainly! Give it your best!
Tweyen: Oh, wait! Threo, just make sure to keep it under control so you don't destroy the facility, okay?
Threo: Wha? Control?
Threo: All right... I'll give it what I've got and try to keep it under control!
Facility Staff: Then let's start, shall we? Ready... Go!
At the staff member's sign, the artisans begin to sing to the clapping rhythm.
The four move the wooden boards to the beat of the song, stirring the hot water around.
Tien: (Matching the rhythm is more difficult than I thought... The artisans really are amazing.)
Tweyen: (If I focus too hard, my movements start getting off-beat. Need to make sure I'm still in sync with the others...)
Threo: (This water smells weird... Pretty sure it wouldn't taste good.)
Silva: (It's pretty hot here. I'm glad we made the right choice and changed into yukatas.)
Facility Staff: All right, let's finish! Everyone say "Hah!" and make the tallest column of water you can!
Facility Staff: Ready, and...
The Three: Hah!
Threo: All right, finally! Here we gooo!
Facility Staff: Huh?
When Threo swings her board, a huge column of water shoots up like a geyser. The strong jet of water hits the ceiling, raining down on everyone in the facility.
The Three: Ah!
Facility Staff: ...
Tien: Hehe... Hehehe.
Tweyen: Hehe... Ahaha!
Silva: Hahaha! You surprised me there. Just as I've heard—you've got some incredible strength!
Threo: Wha? Why's everyone laughing?
Tien: Mm... Don't worry about it. We're just having fun.
Threo looks on, puzzled, as Tien, Tweyen, and Silva's laughter rings out across the room.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 2: A Tour of the Hot Spring District - Episode 2

Fif, Eahta, and Narmaya visit a "fate binding rock" located slightly outside of town where they bump into Niyon, who hands them a pamphlet before making her way back to the inn. The three enjoy a breathtaking view as they happily bathe in the energy from the rock.

Fif: Come on, Narmaya! Grampy! The power's gonna get away!
Narmaya: Wait up, Fif! I'm coming!
Fif, Narmaya, and Eahta are outside of the hot spring district, climbing up a rocky path.
Fif: I'm fiiirst!
Fif: Huh? Wait, that person sitting at the tea shop over there! Isn't that...
Niyon: Oh...
Fif: It's Niyon! What a coincidence! I thought you were at the inn.

Continue 1
Niyon: I was... The sound of the thunderclouds was too loud, so I was hiding in our room.

Continue 2
Niyon is a talented musician who is able to hear the feelings of people through melodies, as well as play music that can directly influence others' emotions.
Niyon: I was... The sound of the thunderclouds was too loud, so I was hiding in our room.
Continue 3
Niyon: But when it got sunnier outside, the staff at the inn suggested I go and enjoy the view outside, so here I am.
Fif: Ohh! Now that your ears have gotten more used to this place, maybe you can enjoy the vacation more!
Fif: By the way, what's that you've got in your hand, Niyon? Some kind of snack?
Niyon: It's a confection called "rakugan" that's made with flour and sugar. It's in the shape of what they call the "fate binding rock" over there.
Niyon points to a large rock nearby that has been split in two. A path has been made between the two slabs of rock, where a steady stream of people walk.
Fif: That's a huuuge rock! Almost three times as big as Grampy!
Niyon: Past that rock, there's a place with a beautiful view of the kingdom of Levin. It was breathtaking.
Fif: Oooh! It's what some people call a "power spot," right?
Niyon: "Power spot"... Yes, I think I heard someone call it that earlier.
Eahta: I thought it sounded rather lively up here. Good to see you, Niyon.
Niyon: Ah, so you came together after all. And who might this be?
Narmaya: Nice to meet you! My name's Narmaya. Pleased to make your acquaintance!
Niyon: Oh... Hello. I'm Niyon...
Fif: Grampy! Narmaya! Seems there's a power spot over here! Let's go check it out!
Niyon: I think it's about time for me to head back. Why don't you take this?
Eahta: Hm?
Niyon: It's a pamphlet detailing this area. They gave it to me when I bought a cup of tea at the shop.
Niyon: The shop also has a stamp, so if you're collecting the stamps around town, make sure you drop by.
Narmaya: Thank you for telling us! We'll definitely give the shop a visit later!
Niyon gives a small nod before taking her leave, slowly descending the mountainous path back to town center.
After parting with their friend, Fif, Eahta, and Narmaya head to the crevice in the rock and make their way down the narrow path.
Fif: Ooh, this place is so mysterious!
Oh yeah! Narmaya, do you have any idea what kind of power this "power spot" has?
Narmaya: Hmm, let me take a look at the pamphlet.
Narmaya: Apparently this rock was split in half by a strike of lightning, but it managed to stay in place without rolling off the mountain.
Narmaya: They say that passing through this rock will help you maintain the relationships you have with others!
Eahta: You mean to say that you will receive the power to maintain such relationships simply by being in this place... It is an exaggeration of a mere phenomenon.
Narmaya: Even if the splitting of this rock was a coincidence, the thoughts of many people are now gathered here. That in itself could be a form of power, don't you think?
Fif: So if we receive power from this rock, does that mean Narmaya, Grampy, and I will be able to stay together forever?
Narmaya: Yes! I'm sure we can!
Fif: Yay! Okay, then I'll do my best and take in all the power I can!
Narmaya: Sounds great! Let's take in as much as we can so we can share it with everyone else later too!
The three make their way past the crevice of the rock to find an incredible view awaiting them.
Fif: Wooow! Look! We can see all of Levin from here!
Narmaya: What a spectacular view...
Eahta: A grand spectacle indeed.
The three find themselves on a natural observation deck located atop a cliff. Just beyond the railing is a sweeping view of Saint Lethan Castle, as well as the castle town and the hot spring district.
Fif: So this side's where the hot springs are, huh? Do you think Tien and everyone else are there?
Fif: Tieeen! Seofooon! Anreee! Hellooo!
Narmaya: (Captain)! Can you hear me? I'm right heeere!
Fif: Ahaha! The echo from the mountains is answering us!
Fif: Oh yeah! Narmaya, we gotta collect as much power as we can!
Narmaya: Right!
Narmaya and Fif stand side by side facing the town view, arms raised high in the air.
Fif: Poooweeer!
Narmaya: Poooweeer!
Eahta: What an odd sight.
Fif: Come on, Grampy! You gotta help too! Go like this!
Eahta: ...
Narmaya: You just have to act according to your instincts. Can you give it a try too, Eahta? Please?
Eahta: Children's games are but a whimsical feat... Yet, I see no reason to refuse.
Eahta: Haaah!
Narmaya: Hehe, perfect!
Fif: Since all three of us took in some power, now we can be together forever!
Narmaya: That's right! Together forever!
Narmaya inhales deeply and looks out from the cliffside.
Narmaya: I've gone to the mountains on a number of occasions to train, but I've never taken the time to enjoy the view like this before.
Narmaya: Seeing how vast the sky is, and enjoying the view with those you love... It's a special feeling, isn't it?
Fif: Hehe. And what's more, we've got power!
Narmaya: Hehe. This may be the first time the three of us have gone on vacation together, but hopefully we'll have many more chances to do so from here on out.
Fif: Yeah, we'll go to a lot of places! Promise me, Grampy! Pinky swear!
Eahta: Overseeing the journey of a child may indeed be what will ascertain my own path.
Fif: Ergh, Grampy! Your finger's so big I can't wrap my pinky around it! Oh well, I guess we can just hold hands!
Narmaya and Fif exchange smiles as the three of them commemorate this day with a special promise.
Narmaya: How about we visit the tea shop after this? I'd like to collect the stamp from there too.
Fif: Sounds like a plan! Let's eat some snacks and take a break!
Having enjoyed the view thoroughly, the three return to the crevice in the rock and head toward the tea shop for a rest.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 2: A Tour of the Hot Spring District - Episode 3

(Captain), Seofon, Feower, Seox, and the others participate in a workshop where they make their own thunder domes. They hear about a fireworks festival happening the following night from an artisan. After finishing up at the workshop, the crew is walking down the street when Lyria bumps into a young man who vaguely reminds her of someone.

While Fif and company are relaxing at the tea house, (Captain) and the others are at a workshop in town, lining up tiny figures on a pedestal.
Lyria: Look! I tried recreating the deck of the Grandcypher!
Seofon: Is that (Captain) and Lyria standing in the middle? It's very well made!
Vyrn: Take a look at mine! I made an apple orchard!
Seofon: Very nice! Wait a second, is that a little red lizard I see under the tree?
Vyrn: Red lizard? Well, to be fair, there wasn't a dragon mold so I just made a cat and colored it red...
Feower: I've finished lining up my creations as well. What do we do after this?
Workshop Staff: Once you've placed them on the pedestal, us artisans will apply Crystalized Lightning and fix it in place with a glass sphere.
Workshop Staff: And then voila, you'll have your very own thunder dome!
Lyria: Creating your own little world within a glass ball is a fantastic idea!
Vyrn: So this "Crystalized Lightning" rock thing can produce lightning within the glass?
Workshop Staff: That's right! When we hold up the pedestal and gently pour our magic into it, sparks of static electricity start flying.
Feower: Just by putting your magic into the rock? Intriguing.
Workshop Staff: Crystalized Lightning has been used for crafting our staffs in Levin since long ago.
Workshop Staff: What we're using for these thunder domes are leftover fragments from crafting weapons. The pieces may be small, but their power is the real thing!
Lyria: When I saw the thunder dome at the shop earlier, I was really surprised by how much power I felt coming from it!
Workshop Staff: Yes! We'll also be coating your figures before putting them in, so there's no worry of them breaking from the static electricity.
Seofon: Wow, the process is quite thorough, I see.
Seofon: And what do you know, mine's done too! Looks pretty good, if I say so myself. I present to you, Tien and Feower of Stardust Town!
Feower: That's what you were making? I made a model of Stardust Town as well.
Seofon: But you're making Mugen and your other siblings, right? I bet you're forgetting one of the most important parts: yourselves.
Seofon: Everyone's going to be so upset. That's why I went ahead and made models for the two of you.
Feower: Don't tell me you made those just so you could give them to us?
Seofon: Yep. Should be perfect as souvenirs to bring back home, no?
Feower: Well... I guess so. I'm sure Tien will be happy... too...
  1. I'm done!

Choose: I'm done!
Seofon: Ooh, let's have a look! What did you make, (Captain)?
  1. The plaza back in Zinkenstill.
  2. My room on the Grandcypher.
  3. Levin's castle town.
  4. It's a secret!

Choose: The plaza back in Zinkenstill.
Seofon: Ooh, it looks like such a peaceful place. So this is where you grew up, huh?

Choose: My room on the Grandcypher.
Seofon: Wow, you really filled in the details! The desk and the bed look very realistic!

Choose: Levin's castle town.
Seofon: Ah, that would make a perfect souvenir for this trip. If we have time later, I'd like to see the castle town for myself!

Choose: It's a secret!
Seofon: Wha... You're not telling? But why! I saw you show Lyria earlier!
Seofon: Oh, are you saving it for when it's in the dome? Gotcha. Then I look forward to seeing it when we come to pick it up tomorrow!
Continue 1
Feower: Everyone's made excellent progress, I see. Well, all except one person.
Feower looks past Seofon to where Seox is sitting quietly by himself.
Seox: ...
Feower: Seox, your hands haven't been moving for a while. Are you planning to make anything at all?
Seox: I don't know what to make.
Vyrn: Anything's okay! It could be a place you've visited before, or a place you wanna go to someday!
Seox: I don't have any place I especially want to craft into a physical form. And I don't know what Estalucia looks like.
Lyria: Hm, let's see...
Lyria: Then how about something from this trip?
Seox: This trip?
Workshop Staff: Ah yes, many people do that. Will you be going to see the fireworks festival tomorrow?
Lyria: Oh! There's going to be fireworks?
Workshop Staff: Yes, it's the first time they're putting it on. They're holding it at the river that runs along the hot spring district.
Vyrn: A fireworks festival, huh! Can't miss it now, can we, (Captain)?
Lyria: Hehe. Maybe that'll give you an idea for what to make, Seox!
Seox: Yeah.
Workshop Staff: In that case, feel free to use this firework-patterned sheet. It's something we made as a sample, but if that's all right with you, you can have it!
Seox: Ah. Then I'll try making something with this.
After finishing up at the workshop, (Captain) and company take a stroll down the district's main street.
Lyria: I was so focused that I didn't realize I was this hungry! Should we get something to eat?
Seofon: Great idea! I hear dinner's going to be a grand event though, so be sure not to eat too much before then.
Lyria: Okay! Since we had the hot springs manju earlier, maybe next we can try the grape—
Lyria: Eep!
  1. Lyria!

Choose: Lyria!
While Lyria is immersed in her thoughts of food, she bumps into a young man passing by. (Captain) hurries to reach out and catch her.
Passerby: ...
Lyria: I-I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking...
Vyrn: That surprised me... Are you okay, Lyria?
Lyria: Yes, I'm fine. (Captain) caught me just before I fell.
Lyria: Did you see the person I bumped into just now? Didn't he remind you of someone?
Vyrn: Really? I didn't notice.
They turn to look back at the stranger, but the crowds of people obscure their view.
Despite their curiosity, (Captain) and company decide to head on to the shops in search of something to fill Lyria's empty stomach.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 2: A Tour of the Hot Spring District - Episode 4

Albert and Yurius are in an alley, deep in discussion. Though they are happy with the hot spring district's success, at the same time, they worry if some form of rebellion will arise from Audric's recent activities as king. Meanwhile, at the town's abandoned arena, the lord Galia makes a report to Audric's younger brother, Victor.

As (Captain) and company are exploring the main street of the district, two figures slip away from the town center and into an alley.
Albert: The head of the hot spring district's association seemed happy. According to him, profits are on the rise in every part of town.
Yurius: Only to be expected, with this many people visiting. We will need to think of ways to prevent overcrowding in the future.
Albert: I never thought the day'd come when Levin would welcome so many tourists.
Yurius: The results are as they should be, seeing how much effort His Majesty has put in.
Albert: Ever since you taught His Majesty how to gather documents and other materials, he's really changed. Just what in the skies did you teach him?
Yurius: Nothing special. I simply listened to what His Majesty had to say and agreed to help him gather things that could be of support.
Yurius: I am also making it a point not to speak as a D.O.P.E. during our study sessions, as debate is not our main objective.
Albert: Still, His Majesty's trade and urbanization project is so clear and straightforward. It doesn't seem like something he thought of himself.
Yurius: He most certainly thought of the project himself—five years ago, or so I've been informed.
Albert: That long ago?
Yurius: Apparently he had proposed it to his father, the king at the time, but it was rejected.
Yurius: Well, that is no surprise. His Majesty's ideas were too novel for a country like ours that did not favor change.
Albert: I see...
Albert: I must say, I'm very surprised by His Majesty at the council meetings. The air in the room changes the moment he begins to speak.
City Lord: I have taken a thorough look over the documents. As for our next objective...
Galia: Sufficient technological supply for the hot spring district? While it is true that our investments in the district have brought favorable results and become a source of income...
Countryside Lord: With this much profit already, the hot spring district should be satisfactory in its current state. On the other hand, my area could use more work...
Albert: (Once large-scale changes are made, the lords of each district will start to compete.)
Yurius: (It cannot be helped—we all want the best for our country. We have no choice but to work on a little at a time...)
Audric: ...
City Lord: Your Majesty? Is something the matter?
Audric: Well, um...
Audric: Whew...
Audric: Levin is a strong country. It is thanks to the resilience of our knights and their unparalleled abilities that Levin was able to come this far.
Audric: I take pride in the history that Levin has created. However, change happens with time, and countries, too, must adapt to such change.
Audric clasps his hands together and bows his head.
Audric: From here on out, Levin must become a land where culture can grow—and for this, I ask for the wisdom of all those present here.
Audric: I beg you. Lend me your power to expand Levin to its full potential.
District Lords: ...!
Galia: ...
Albert: The proposal to focus our efforts on the hot spring district was also agreed on with a single word from His Majesty.
Yurius: When the king himself asks that earnestly, no one can refuse. And that is exactly what puts His Majesty in danger.
Yurius: I understand what His Majesty is trying to say. When I first heard about the trade and urbanization project, I felt it was a worthwhile effort as well.
Yurius: However, the king's consecutive achievements are also what strikes fear in the lords. They worry that, eventually, having a council will no longer have meaning.
Albert: No longer have meaning?
Yurius: Up until recently, the council has always been a fair place where there was no absolute leader.
Yurius: But now that His Majesty attends the meetings, the balance of power among the participants has shifted.
Yurius: And someday, it may eventually become like how it was in the Glory Age, where all policies were decided by the king alone.
Albert: You think... that might be a good thing?
Yurius: In terms of propelling change for our country, yes.
Yurius: With the current state of our council, deciding on a single policy takes time, since discussion and proper procedures need to take place.
Yurius: But with an absolute monarchy, matters can be put into action with a single word from the king. The country can be built exactly the way His Majesty wishes.
Yurius: Of course, it is a double-edged sword. The kingdom can both prosper and decline in the span of a single generation.
Albert: That does bring up new insecurities...
Yurius: Yes, it is a matter of concern. Personally, however, I am more interested in something different...
Yurius: In Levin, there are people who think about nothing but their own profits—as we have already learned and experienced.
Yurius: If these people begin to feel their own influence threatened, what do you think they will do?
Albert: In the worst case... they may start a rebellion.
Albert: Now I understand. That's why you were worried that something might happen on the day of the fireworks.
Yurius: The fireworks festival is an idea that the king proposed. If any accidents were to occur during the event, the fault would fall on His Majesty himself.
Albert: Right. Well, the increased security measures may appear to be for the protection of the king—but in actuality, the guards are to ensure that the fireworks festival runs smoothly.
Yurius: We are truly fortunate to have a strong ally like Jeno to defend His Majesty in any situation.
Yurius: As someone who is loyal to only those of the royal family, he would go as far as to become the enemy of the kingdom for his master. He is the most qualified to be the king's knight.
Albert: I was surprised when you wanted to nominate Jeno to be His Majesty's personal guard, but you're right after all—we never know who may be plotting against the king.
Yurius: Exactly. And right now may be the perfect opportunity to unmask those against Audric.
Just then, Yurius's gaze shifts to a young man walking down the main street just outside of the alleyway.
Yurius: ...!
Albert: Hm? What's wrong?
Yurius: Ah, nothing... I caught a glimpse of His Highness just now.
Yurius: Whew... His Highness is looking more and more like our father. Sometimes, I cannot help but be on my guard.
Albert: I don't blame you... But what is His Highness doing here in the hot spring district?
Yurius: Who knows? Though I doubt it's simply a fun excursion.
Wiping off the growing sweat on his brow, Yurius heaves a deep sigh.
???: There you are.
Galia: Ah, Your Highness. I apologize for having kept you waiting.
???: Are the preparations well on their way?
Galia: Indeed. My squad is superior—they will ensure that all goes according to plan.
Galia: It appears quite a number of guards has been positioned to watch over your brother. However, security is much looser outside of the hot spring district.
???: I see. Then tomorrow morning, once you have finished disposing of the werewolf, I will approach my brother.
Galia: The day I can refer to Your Highness as "Your Majesty" is finally arriving... Aah, long have I waited for this day.
???: Heh.
The young man walks to the center of the building and looks over the crumbling remains of an arena.
Galia: You have quite the refined taste, Your Highness, to choose this arena to be the place of your battle against your brother.
Galia: This arena hosted many battles between proud warriors who fought ruthlessly against each other in the Glory Age, bringing much excitement to its spectators at the time.
Galia: The walls and ceiling may be in ruins now, but this was once a place that even architects of faraway lands spoke highly of.
???: I don't care for old stories. Don't speak of them to me again.
Galia: A-ah, my humblest apologies, Your Highness.
???: I simply wish to carry out my promise with my father.
???: I cannot forgive that weakling of a king who has made such a fool of our precious land...
Victor: Fear not! I, Victor Levin, will correct the errors of my brother!
The young man makes his declaration among the ruins of the arena, a strong fighting spirit burning from within his eyes.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 3: Quality Time at the Inn - Episode 1

The crew head to the inn for the night, where they enjoy a soak in the bath. As the women enjoy the hot springs, Tien talks about how she wants to someday take all of her siblings in Stardust Town on a trip together, while Silva would like to bring everyone at the gun workshop along next time.

After enjoying a number of different events around town, the crew gather back at the inn, where they take a tour of the place before changing and indulging in some refreshments.
They finish unpacking their luggage and take a short break before heading to the communal baths.
Tweyen: Aaah... This feels great.
Silva: I can feel the fatigue slowing melting away...
Tien: Mm... This is so nice...
Gran is the Main Character

Fif: Urgh, it's so slippery here... Wait for me, Threo!
Djeeta is the Main Character

Fif: Urgh, it's so slippery here... Wait for me, Threo!
Threo: Come on, Fif! Over here!
Narmaya: Threo, you can't jump into the bath and make a big splash, okay? Here, let's slip into it together.
Lyria: Hehe. I can feel the depths of my body warming up!
Gran is the Main Character

Niyon: Yes. Though, I wish (Captain) was here so I could enjoy the bath while listening to his melody...
Djeeta is the Main Character

Niyon: Yes. Listening to (Captain)'s melody while soaking in the bath is very calming.
Tien: I almost feel like I'm floating in a dream.
Tweyen: Me too... Is this your first time soaking in a hot spring too, Tien?
Tien: Yeah... We don't have any hot springs in Stardust Town, and when I'm out somewhere else, I always try to return home as soon as I can.
Silva: I see... I guess you can't help but worry about your younger siblings. You're such a responsible older sister, Tien. Think you can take some time to relax on this trip?
Tien: Mm... Before we came, our siblings reminded Feower and I that we need to relax too.
Tien: Before, Feower and I would never leave our siblings to attend any sort of gathering that was only for fun...
Tien: But now, Stardust Town is doing a lot better thanks to all of the other Eternals and the Suo family.
Tweyen: Hehe, I'm so glad. Then you should take this chance to enjoy yourselves as much as you can!
Tien: Mm.
Tien cracks a smile and looks up at the night sky.
Tien: This might sound like an exaggeration... but this moment truly does feel like a dream.
Tien: Living a normal life without potential dangers lurking around the corner. Visiting another island on a whim and enjoying my time however I want...
Tien: Something that many may take for granted. I always looked up to that kind of life, but never thought it'd be possible for myself.
Tweyen: I can exaggerate too. I'm also very happy to see you finally without a gun at your side, Tien.
Silva: Yeah. I'm glad that all of your efforts are paying off.
Tien: I hope that, one day, I can visit the hot springs with my other siblings too.
Tien: Thanks to Seofon, we were all able to go to the ocean together, and it made my siblings so happy. I want to create many more fun memories like that for them.
Tweyen: That's a wonderful ambition! If there's anything Silva and I can do to help you achieve that, just tell us, okay?
Tien: Thank you. It's because there are wonderful people like the both of you that my siblings can still believe there are kind adults out there.
Silva: If we're talking about bringing more people here, I'd love to bring Camieux, Cucouroux, Mama Gunsmith, Papa Gunsmith, and Uncle Dan too.
Tweyen: What about your parents on Ravi Island?
Silva: Haha. I'd like to invite them too, of course, but it'd end up being a whole lot of people.
Tien: If I invited all of my siblings, we might end up having to rent out the entire inn for ourselves.
Silva: Then I guess it'd make things easier if I did get everyone from the gun workshop and the alloy foundry to come, so we can rent out the inn as a group.
Tweyen: That sounds like a good idea! Let's rent out the place and invite as many of our friends as we want!
Tien: That would be a lot of fun.
As steam emits endlessly from the open air bath, evaporating into the sky, Tien and company continue to enjoy their quality time with one another to their hearts' content.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 3: Quality Time at the Inn - Episode 2

In the men's bath, Feower talks about how he wishes Seofon would be more honest with everyone in their crew. Anre smiles when he sees the other two opening up more than usual, thanks to the relaxing effect of the hot springs. Just then, Audric and Jeno appear and join the Eternals in the bath.

Meanwhile, at the men's bath.
Seofon: Wheeew, this is amazing! A soak in the bath's just what I needed.
Djeeta is the Main Character

Vyrn: Yeah, it really warms up my body! Aah, I'm in paradise...
Gran is the Main Character

Vyrn: Yeah, it really warms up my body! Aah, I'm in paradise...
  1. Feels so good...

Choose: Feels so good...
Eahta: ...
Anre: A soak in the hot springs after a productive day of walking around is especially satisfying.
Seofon: Couldn't agree more. Where did you go in the afternoon anyway, Anre?
Anre: I wandered around the shops, talking to the staff and other visitors. It was rather enjoyable, I must say.
Seofon: Haha, that does sound like fun.
(Although, I'm pretty sure it was also partly research as a merchant himself...)
Vyrn: From what I heard earlier, it seems we can make this a lightning bath if we ask the staff to do it for us. You guys wanna give it a try?
Seofon: Huh? Umm... I think I'm good...
Feower: By the way, where is Seox? I don't see him here.
Seofon: He said he's going to soak in a separate room. He'll come find us when he's ready, so I'm sure we'll see him soon enough.
Feower: I see... Well, not that I care.
Seofon: So, Feower. Are you enjoying our trip so far?
Feower: Why do you need to ask? We've been together the entire day.
Seofon: That may be so, but I don't know how you're feeling inside unless you tell me.
Feower: I am... having fun, thanks to your arrangements.
Seofon: That's fantastic to hear! Thanks for coming all the way here with Tien!
Feower: But why did you decide to arrange a group vacation like this all of a sudden?
Seofon: Well, I thought we needed a chance to strengthen our solidarity as a group so that, when the time comes, we can band together to fend off the evils threatening the sky and—
Feower: Ugh... Why did I even bother asking? I shouldn't have even anticipated a serious response from you.
Feower heaves a sigh and sinks himself below the surface until his nose is almost touching the water.
Seofon: Regardless of the purpose, I'm just really, really glad all ten of us can gather like this.
Feower: Well, the Suo family's looking over Stardust Town for us, so coming out once in a while isn't a problem. I'm glad for the opportunity.
Anre: As the one who introduced them, I'm glad to hear that the Suo family is proving to be of help to all of you.
Feower: We have been through quite a lot because of Rei...
Feower: But she is doing a good job of protecting my siblings, so I am obliged to put my trust in her.
Anre: Rei is kind, but equally strict. Once she makes a promise to someone, she will always carry it out.
Feower: Yes, I know.
Feower: I know... What all of you have done has granted the peace that exists for us now.
Feower: The fact that we can leave our siblings at home and come to a different place without having to worry is also thanks to all of you. It's just that...
Tien: Seox could have died.
Seox: Tien?
Tien: ...
Tien: Don't you ever trick your comrades for the sake of achieving your goals again.
Feower thinks back to the day his sister expressed her rare anger toward Seofon.
For a long time, the twins' home, Stardust Town, had suffered by the hands of the mafia group Magasin who sold an illegal drug called Serenity Heaven.
In order to crush the Magasin, Seofon had purposefully led the Crew of Enforcers and the Eternals to a clash against each other.
As a result, Magasin was destroyed and Stardust Town came under the protection of the Suo family—all according to Seofon's plan.
However, after the incident, Tien grew angry at Seofon for not letting any of the parties involved know of his true plans at the time.
Feower: Though we were finally able to attain the peace we've wanted for so long, every time I remember Tien's face on that day, I just can't bring myself to feel glad.
Feower: You do everything by yourself. Because you can do everything by yourself.
Feower: You don't tell us everything. And it's because I know that that I can't help but feel frustrated.
Feower: Just what are you thinking behind that smile of yours?
Seofon: You're certainly talking a lot today, Feower. What a rare treat.
Anre: A warm bath softens what is harbored in the heart too. It allows one to say what cannot normally be said.
Feower: Stop evading the question!
And Anre, you aren't completely unrelated to the matter either. You let him get away with it!
Anre: Haha, I apologize. I couldn't help it—I, too, am happy to hear your true feelings, Feower.
Feower: Are you treating me like a child? Have you forgotten that I'm an Eternal too?
Seofon: Don't get so upset, Feower. You know I depend on you guys all the time.
Feower: Then why can't you at least tell us the truth? After all, we're also indebted to you.
Feower: Don't go wasting that debt, Seofon.
Seofon: Ah... All right, I'll do my best. I did deserve Tien's scolding that time.
Seofon: I may be a little careless and go off on a tangent sometimes...
Seofon: But I want to keep protecting these skies, together with all of you. So stick with me, okay?
Feower: Sigh... You don't have to tell me. Rest assured that I'll keep ridding these skies of filthy scum.
Seofon: Hm?
Seofon raises his head, shifting his gaze over to the door of the bath, where two figures are standing.
Audric: Oh... It's the... Eternals...
Vyrn: Hey, it's the king! Are you stayin' at this inn too?
Jeno: Yes, as a part of our observatory excursion. Yurius figured the safest place for us to stay would be where (Captain)'s crew is.
Seofon: We're honored to receive such trust. However, this is your kingdom, Your Majesty—please don't mind us and enjoy the bath however you like.
Audric: U-um...
Jeno: I can talk to them if you wish. Shall we revisit when there is no one else around?
Audric: N-no... It's a rare opportunity, so... I'll join them...
Feower: (Is that giant furball going to join us in the bath too? Is it going to be okay?)
Ducking his head timidly, Audric walks over to the bath with Jeno. The two of them slowly sink themselves into the hot spring.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 3: Quality Time at the Inn - Episode 3

Anre talks to the nervous Audric, complimenting the hot spring district from a merchant's point of view. However, Audric responds that he is nothing but a weakling of a king with an embarrassing past of not having been able to accomplish anything. Eventually, Audric rushes out of the bath, with Jeno following suit. Seofon and Anre comment on what a good king Audric is.

Jeno: Whew... This feels nice.
Audric: Y-yes... Nice...
Audric: (The Eternals... I hear each of them are strong enough to rival the Seven Luminary Knights...)
Audric: (That's amazing... I can't believe someone like me is... sharing the same bath as these great warriors...)
Eahta: ...
Audric: (Ooh... Maybe it wasn't a good idea to join them after all...)
Feower: What is with that guy? He's been sneaking glances at us for a while now.
Seofon: I hear he's really shy, so let's just give him some time.
Seofon: (I am curious to see what kind of king Levin has now.)
Anre: ...
Anre: Good evening. I am the Eternal known as Anre.
Anre: I apologize for interrupting your time of relaxation, but I have always wanted to talk with you, Your Majesty. Would you be kind enough to spare me some time?
Audric: Huh? Oh, yes, it would be my pleasure!
Anre: Thank you very much.
I've heard that this district was a rather quiet area before the recent developments began.
Audric: Yes... It is only as of late that people have begun to gather here.
Anre: I was raised in a merchant family, you see, so I cannot help but be intrigued by the business strategies present in the places I visit.
Anre: I spent my day today exploring the hot spring district and talking with people at the shops.
Anre: And everyone has told me thus far that it is thanks to the king the hot spring district has become the success it is today.
Audric: Not at all.
Anre: Ah, but I, too, am of the same opinion.
Anre: The kingdom of Levin has always been in a difficult position. While its placement makes it hard for other countries to invade, the land is barren and poor in resources.
Anre: With the limited options you had, Your Majesty, you managed to gather the support of each area in your country, concentrating them to build a new place of civilization.
Anre: I believe this to be an excellent decision. I was especially impressed by how you channeled the history of Levin to become a part of its new culture.
Audric: D-do you really think so?
Anre: I noticed there were many signs around the town detailing the history of each spot. I've been told that you wrote these yourself, Your Majesty.
Anre: I had a delightful time reading them. They have helped strengthen my knowledge of Levin despite this being my first visit.
Anre: I believe that the true pleasure of traveling is in learning more about the places one visits. My time in Levin so far has proved to be a most valuable experience.
Audric: I like history a lot... Or rather, it's the only thing I'm good at...
Anre: I have the seasoned eyes of a merchant, if I may say so myself, and I know talent when I see it. Please, have more confidence in yourself.
Audric: Thank you...
Audric: But in all honesty, a king like me is just no good. I'm a weakling who can't fight...
Anre: Hm. Could you tell me more, Your Majesty?
Audric: All of Levin's kings up until now have been valiant rulers. Even when the Grim Basin was decaying after the War, our kings cleared a way...
Audric: They spearheaded our people and became heroes, building cities and new civilizations. Their pride is a remnant of that time...
Audric: What the people look for in a king of Levin is talent in battle... or they did, until I was enthroned.
Anre: I see. Forgive me, but the fighting scene, as you say, does not appear to be your forte.
Audric: No... I'm hopeless in it. Even my younger brother defeated me easily...
Young Audric: Hah! Hrah!
Audric: As a legitimate child of the royal family, I knew my level of combat wouldn't do. So I slipped out of the castle night after night to practice...
Jeno: And that was how we came to meet for the first time.
Audric: Yes. I was surprised—so surprised that I even dropped my wooden sword.
Young Audric: Wah!
Past Jeno: A child? What are you doing in a place like this? Where are your parents?
Young Audric: ...
Past Jeno: Why're you staring at me like that?
Young Audric: It's... Sir Jeno...
Past Jeno: Hm? How do you know my name?
Young Audric: I read about you in a book... Your rescue of the king from the fire one hundred and fifty six years ago, and also the incident with the civil rebellion one hundred and seventeen years ago...
Young Audric: Whoa... It's Sir Jeno! The real Sir Jeno! You're so big! And you look so cool!
Audric: I continued meeting up with Sir Jeno secretly after that to practice, but all I did was ask him questions about the past...
Feower: So you were slacking off? Not surprised that the practice sessions didn't do you any good.
Audric: R-right...
Jeno: I put a stop to his practices. I saw no sign of future improvement even if he practiced until his blisters popped.
Jeno: There are things in life that one can never get better at, even with strenuous effort.
Audric: Yet, there are so many strong warriors who can fight... Like all of you, the almighty Eternals.
Anre: I do not recommend seeking power in a reckless manner.
Anre: More importantly, what the king of Levin needs is the strength to lead his people.
Anre: It may not be so in times of war, but in the present time, it is not a talent for battle that will lead the people, but something else.
Audric: Is... that true? But the people... They seek a king who's...
Anre: Your Majesty? Are you feeling all right?
Audric: U-um... I'm sorry. I just remembered I have something I must do. I shall excuse myself!
Jeno: Your Majesty! Wait!
Seeing Audric leap out of the bath and out the door, Jeno follows suit.
Feower: Rather rude of him to just leave like that.
Seofon: Hm, I suppose he's just that shy. Watching over him has got to be a tough job.
Seofon: Though he does make for a pretty impressive king.
Anre: I am of the same opinion. A rare and good ruler.
Feower: You think? He looked so weak, he would probably fall over if you gave him a jab.
Anre: It is because he is weak, most likely. His weakness and sincerity will serve him well in uniting the kingdom.
Seofon: Maybe I should learn from the king and show some weakness too!
Seofon: Feoweeer! My sword avatars haven't been very nice lately... Can you do something about them?
Feower: Shut up or I'll kill you.
Seofon: Ahaha. Guess I don't have the same talent as the king.
Having thoroughly warmed up, Seofon and company get up from the bath one by one.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 3: Quality Time at the Inn - Episode 4

After the bath, Seofon and company find a table tennis table in another part of the inn. Seofon faces (Captain) and Feower in a match, with a special electric massage as the penalty for losing. In the end, Seofon loses the game, but when Mona, the massage therapist, tells them up to four people can join, Seofon drags (Captain), Feower, and the unsuspecting Seox with him for the massage.

Seofon: Huh? Do you hear something?
After a long soak in the hot springs, Seofon is walking down a corridor when he hears a tapping noise.
Curious, he walks toward the sound and finds a leisure space where a table tennis table is set up.

Threo: Take that!
Lyria: Hah!

Threo: Yaaay! Another point for me!

Threo: Take that!

Threo: Rrrah!
Threo: Yaaay! Another point for me!

Fif: No, the other team got the point, Threo! The ball needs to bounce on the table or you lose!
Threo: What, really? I lost? Darn, this is harder than I thought...
Seofon: Aren't things lively in here! I had no idea there was a place to play table tennis.
Gran is the Main Character

Feower: Interesting. Why don't we join them, (Captain)?
Djeeta is the Main Character

Feower: Interesting. Allow me to join you, (Captain).
Lyria: Oh, everyone's here! My game just ended, so feel free to use my paddle!
Seofon: Thanks, Lyria.
Feower: What are the rules for this game? I assume it's not simply returning the ball.
Fif: Here, I'll teach you! Maybe you should listen one more time too, Threo! So, you see, for table tennis...
Feower: I see. In other words, you hit the ball into your opponent's court.
Seofon: All right, let's get this started! (Captain). Feower. Why don't the two of you go against me?
Feower: Heh, you seem rather confident.
Seofon: Maybe I am.
(This is my chance to show my prowess as a grown-up!)
Feower: Hm.
Feower notices something and his lips curl mischievously.
Feower: Still, there's no fun in competing for nothing, is there? Why don't we decide on a penalty for losing?
Seofon: Excellent idea! What should we make the penalty? Putting on a silly show for everyone?
Feower: How about that over there?
Feower points to a sign that says "Electric massage! Special Spartan plan available!"
Seofon: You can't be serious...
Feower: Oh? Not feeling so confident anymore?
Seofon: Ahaha, don't be silly!
(Crap! I should've asked someone to be on my team too!)
Seofon: Heh, I just have to win, right? Easy. Are the two of you sure you're going to be all right?
Feower: Of course. We're ready for this!
Feower shoots a determined look at Seofon, gripping a paddle in each hand.
Threo: Whoa! That's smart, Feower! I didn't think of that!
Fif: Twin paddles? Is that allowed?
Well, Seofon seems pretty confident in himself so maybe it's only fair.
Seofon: Hahaha, now we're talking! Then let's begin!
And so begins an epic table tennis match of Seofon versus (Captain) and Feower.
Feower: Huff... Huff...
Seofon: Pant... Pant...
Lyria: This is intense... The match's never-ending!
Fif: You have to have at least a two-point difference to win, so they just keep going and going! Now it's twenty versus twenty-one.
Feower: Impressive.
Seofon: Well, I'm not the leader for... nothing!
Feower: Augh!
As the two are conversing, Seofon launches the ball into the opposite court. The ball bounces and flies just past Feower's reach.
Fif: One point for Seofon! That's twenty-one versus twenty-one!
Feower: Hold on a minute. That wasn't fair!
Seofon: Oh, come on. Taking someone by surprise is a classic strategy!
Feower: Tch... Shut up and wipe that smile off your face, you coward! It's time I stepped up my game and completely destroyed you!
Feower: (Captain)! Let's hurry up and win this so this fool can grovel in agony before us!
  1. Okay!
  2. We're gonna win this!

Choose: Okay!
Choose: We're gonna win this!
Seofon: Won't be that easy, I'm... afraid!
Feower: You think I'd fall for the same thing twice!
Seofon: Wouldn't have expected any... less!
Gran is the Main Character

(Captain): ...!
Djeeta is the Main Character

(Captain): ...!
Seofon: Wha!
(Captain) makes a sharp volley. The ball just grazes the table before slipping past Seofon and bouncing onto the floor.
Fif: One point for (Captain) and Feower! Twenty-one versus twenty-two!
Feower: If we get the next one, victory's ours!
Seofon: You're not getting past me again!
Feower: It's our turn to serve! Take this!
The moment Feower releases the ball onto the table, an intense battle ensues.
Feower counters Seofon's unpredictable hits with his wide, two-paddle defense, while (Captain) unleashes smash after smash.
Seofon: How about this!
Feower: Ack!
Seofon makes his move first and hits the ball to the side. The ball spins fiercely and ricochets off the table in an entirely different direction.
Threo: Whoooa! What is happening?
Lyria: Ooh, is it going to be a tie again?
Feower: Not so fast!
Feower kicks off from the floor, diving under the ball before it touches the ground.
Feower: I'll finish this here! Memento Mori!
The twin blade-wielder reaches as far as he can, catching the ball just before it hits the floor. He flicks the ball toward the table.
Threo: Let's gooo!
Lyria: I hope it goes in!
Seofon: You're a persistent one, aren't you? But this next one's going to be the last—
Seofon: Wait...
The ball sails across the table and hits the tape of the net. It rolls over the net and slowly falls into Seofon's court.
Seofon: Wait a second! Waaait a second!
Seofon sends his paddle flying in a last attempt to reach the ball, but to no avail. The ball bounces onto the court and rolls across the table.
Feower: Pant... Pant... We did it! We won!
Lyria: Yaaay! Congratulations, (Captain)! Feower!
Seofon: Hold on now! You're actually going to count that? That wasn't fair at all!
Feower: Please. Weren't you the one who tried to distract us by talking just a moment ago? Get over here.
(Captain) and Feower grin at each other as they push Seofon over to the massage booth.
Seofon: Aah... Wait, my stomach... It's not feeling so good...
Feower: We're not letting you off the hook that easily.
Seofon: No, I didn't think you would... Ohoho...
Mona: Oh? What a coincidence, (Captain)! Good evening!
  1. Mona! What're you doing here?

Choose: Mona! What're you doing here?
Mona: Oh, that's right. I never told you, did I? I'm visiting the hot spring district to teach people about massaging!
Mona: I happen to have extra time today, so I decided to give some massages myself.
Mona: See? The "Electric Massage: Spartan Plan!"
Feower: Ah, that's perfect. This man says he'd like to try the Spartan plan. I leave him in your hands.
Mona: Certainly! One Spartan plan, coming right up!
Seofon: Wait, is this really going to be okay? Electric? Spartan? It doesn't sound very safe to me...
Mona: It does sting a bit so there are some people who need a break in the middle...
Mona: But you'll be back to being one-hundred percent by morning! It's sure to blow all the fatigue in your body away, so don't worry!
Seofon: People ask for a break? From a massage? That sounds bad!
Feower: Don't tell me you're getting cold feet? And you call yourself the leader of the Eternals.
Mona: Hm, but to be honest, this plan is best suited for four people. To only have one person participate is quite a waste.
Feower: What?
Seofon: In that case, perfect!
  1. Ack!

Choose: Ack!
Seofon grabs (Captain) and Feower by their arms and pulls them over to stand in front of Mona.
Gran is the Main Character

Feower: What do you think you're doing? Let go of me!
Djeeta is the Main Character

Feower: What do you think you're doing? Let go of me!
Seofon: Ms. Therapist, these two would like to join as well!
Mona: You got it! That's a Spartan plan for three then!
Feower: Wha! Then what's the point of a penalty?
Mona: Aww, you mean you don't want to try it? I hate to boast, but my massage plan is quite popular, you know.
Mona: Don't you want to relax with a nice massage, (Captain)? I'm sure you do, don't you, Mr. Erune?
Feower: Er, no, I'll just...
Mona: You do, don't you?
Feower: (I can sense it... Things are going to be really bad if I refuse!)
Feower: Yes, I... do...
Mona: Hehe. Look forward to it then! We do have space for one more person though.
Seox: Some people just came barging into my room, saying they're going to get my bed ready! What is their problem?
Seofon: Seox! You came at just the right time!
Seox: What?
Mona: I guess that'll be the fourth participant! Let's start then, shall we?
Seox: Wait, what's starting? Seofon, explain!
Seofon: You'll find out soon enough!
Seox: Huh? Stop! What're you doing? Let me go!

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 4: In the Dark of Night - Episode 1

Seofon and company are left exhausted from their special massage, while Tien, Tweyen, Silva, and Narmaya are feeling refreshed from their regular massage. As they enjoy a luxurious dinner, Lyria and the others tell Seox about the bath, piquing his curiosity. All of them spend the rest of the evening relaxing in their own way.

Mona: And that's it for the Spartan plan! Nice work, everyone!
Seofon: That was... crazy...
Feower: My body's still tingling...
Seox: What kind of torture was that...
Mona: You might be feeling just a little bit of pain right now, but tomorrow, I guarantee you'll wake up feeling refreshed!
Mona: I look forward to your next visit!
Seofon: Haha... Yes, if the opportunity presents itself...
Tweyen: Whew, that felt nice, didn't it?
Silva: I was a little worried when I heard electricity was going to run through the bath, but I actually like it.
Narmaya: They even gave us some skincare samples! Apparently they contain some sort of essence from the hot springs.
Tien: I've never put on any kind of skincare product before... I'm a little nervous to try.
Feower: Tien! You tried the electric massage?
Tien: Hm? Yeah, we tried the regular plan because slots for the Spartan plan were all full.
Seofon: Ah, how fortunate... If possible, I'd like to have gone with the regular plan too...
However, little does Seofon know that he will find himself waking up the very next morning with his body feeling light and more energized than ever.
Their bodies warmed up from the hot springs, the crew head to the hall for dinnertime.
When they arrive, they see a table in the room with individual meals lined up on it for each person.
Lyria: Munch, munch... Mmm, this is delicious!
Vyrn: Is this sweet, chewy thing some kinda potato? It's so good!
Threo: Aah! This purple water tastes great! I want another cup of this!
Tien: I was told it's grape juice. I finished my cup too, so why don't we go get some more together?
Narmaya: (Captain), it looks like your hotpot's ready! Shall I scoop some into a bowl for you?
Tweyen: Preparing a small hotpot for each person is a great idea! Mmm, the meat of the fish is so fluffy.
Silva: They've cut the vegetables into such beautiful shapes too. What a decorative and intricate dish...
Fif: Is this gonna be enough for you, Grampy? Do you want some of my fish?
Eahta: Young ones need their nourishment to grow. It appears they have prepared more servings of the main dish. You need not worry about me.
Anre: The grape juice Levin prides itself in is very rich. It suits these dishes so perfectly that I find myself taking a sip after every bite.
Seofon: Yeah.
Seox. Feower. Are the two of you eating properly? You can't be picky with your food, you hear?
Feower: I'm not a child. You can be sure that I'll eat everything that's been prepared for me.
Seox: ...
Niyon: Isn't the food lovely, (Captain)?
  1. It's scrumptious.

Choose: It's scrumptious.
Niyon: You know, (Captain)... Today, I visited a place with something called the "fate binding rock."
Niyon: The view was incredible from up there. Would you like to go together tomorrow?
  1. I'd like that!
  2. I have to go back to the workshop.

Choose: I'd like that!
Niyon: I'm glad to hear. Then it's a promise.

Choose: I have to go back to the workshop.
Niyon: Ah, you have to pick up your thunder dome, don't you? We can go after that.
Niyon: There's a story behind the huge rock. I'd really like to go there once with you, (Captain)...
Continue 1
Narmaya: (Captain), I've scooped up some more ingredients from the hotpot for you! And I've deboned the fish so it's ready to eat!
Narmaya: Oh, looks like you got some food on yourself. Here, stay still. Let me wipe it for you.
Gran is the Main Character

Niyon: ...
Djeeta is the Main Character

Niyon: ...
As Narmaya wipes off the food from (Captain)'s face, Niyon leans in and puts an ear to the captain's back.
Vyrn: A meal after a nice soak in the hot springs sure is special! What was it like on your side, Lyria?
Lyria: Let's see... There was a bathtub made of stone in the shower room, and an open air bath outside!
Vyrn: Guess it's not too much different from our side then. The feeling of looking up at the sky from the hot spring's incredible!
Seox: (Looking up at the sky from the hot spring?)
Lyria: Definitely! The open air bath was so big you could swim in it! It was wonderful.
Seox: (A big open air bath...)
Seox: Was it really that nice?
Vyrn: You betcha! You should've joined us, Seox!
Lyria: We had some time to talk while in the bath, and we helped wash each other's backs too. It was really fun!
Vyrn: Somehow, soakin' in the same bath helps you open up to other people, doesn't it? It's pretty nice.
Lyria: The public bath is open until late, so why don't you try going later, Seox?
Seox: Yeah...
Threo: Nom, nom... Munch, munch...
Threo: Whew, that was delicious! Let's go play some table tennis, Fif!
Fif: Okay! Nom, nom... I'm done! I'm gonna go and play with Threo, Grampy!
Eahta: All right.
Tien: I think I'll go watch them play. What about you, Feower?
Feower: I'm going to head back to our room. The massage's gotten me a little sleepy.
Tweyen: Since we're done eating, maybe we should go back to our room. I hear the night view from the room window's beautiful!
Silva: That sounds great. We can enjoy the view over some tea.
Seofon: Niyon, Anre and I are thinking of going to the souvenir shop to take a look. Would you want to come with us?
Niyon: No thanks. I already took a look earlier today.
Seofon: Oof, did I just get rejected? It sure is hard to get everyone to spend some time together.
Anre: Even more so when spending quality time is not something mandatory. But all of us are creating memories in the same place—that's still worthwhile, wouldn't you say?
Seofon: Yeah, you're right.
Having finished with their meal, (Captain) and company spend the rest of the evening in their respective ways.
The merriment in the hot spring district of Levin continues long into the night.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 4: In the Dark of Night - Episode 2

Late at night, Seox is at the public bath by himself when he notices a strange light coming from the rooftop of a building. He goes out into town to look into it when he comes across Albert and Yurius. Seox helps Yurius snuff out the light. Just when they notice a skyskimmer flying overhead, Albert comes back to tell them that the airship is scattering dark essence, attracting monsters to the town. Seox tells the two to leave the monsters to the Eternals before taking his leave.

Seox: ...
When the others finally drifted off to sleep, Seox had slowly gotten up from his bed and made his way to the public bath by himself.
Seox: (A bath so big you can swim in it while gazing up at the sky. It's nice, but I'm not sure it's as great as they made it out to be.)
Lyria: We had some time to talk while in the bath, and we helped wash each other's backs too. It was really fun!
Vyrn: Somehow, soakin' in the same bath helps you open up to other people, doesn't it? It's pretty nice.
Seox: (But maybe... it's different when everyone's here.)
Seox: (I've never taken the time to soak in a hot spring with someone else before... Though, I guess there was that one time when (Captain)'s father put me in a cold-water bath.)
Seox: (He'd catch me and put me back in the bath if I tried to escape before I finished washing...)
Seox: Hm?
As Seox thinks to himself, he notices something flickering in the night sky above.
Seox: (What is that? It wasn't there when I got here.)
Inn Staff: Excuse me, but we're about to close up for the night...
Seox: Ack! Okay... I'll be... right out...
Seox waits until the employee has gone to retrieve the cleaning supplies before slipping out of the bath.
Seox: (If I remember correctly, it was around here... Huh?)
Albert: It looks like they're waving a torch. Do you think it's a signal?
Yurius: Most likely.
Seox: (Those are the people I met earlier in the day...)
When Seox goes out to look for the light he saw, he discovers Albert and Yurius keeping a close watch on the roof of a closed shop.
Albert: Should we intervene?
Yurius: Yes, but only me. Can you search the area for the person on the receiving end of the signal just now?
Albert: You plan to go up there alone? I'm coming with you.
Yurius: Judging from the size of the roof, there should only be two to three people. Just one of us should be more than enough.
Albert: Then I'll go and—
Yurius: The side receiving the signal may have monsters with them. Are you saying I should go there instead?
Albert: ...
Fine. Just don't be reckless.
Albert: I was against you coming out with me to patrol in the first place, so be extra careful.
With that, Albert turns and slips into a dark alley.
Tentacles: ...
Seox: (Is something coming out of his back?)
Yurius: Heh. I suppose I better take care of these people fast so Albert's anxiety won't kill him.
Yurius strokes the tentacle protruding from his back. The tentacle bends as if to nod and stretches out toward the rooftop.
Seox: (He flew!)
The tentacle wraps itself around the railing on the roof and pulls Yurius up with it.
Seox: ...
Torch-Holder: Should be any time now.
Lackey: Yaaawn. Waiting around here's pretty boring.
Torch-Holder: Who's there!
Yurius: This voice...
Galia's Captain: Yurius... I have a proposal of my own. Leave now, and we'll pretend we never saw you, hmm?
Yurius: (It's Galia and his men...)
Galia's Captain: Yurius? How did you get up here!
Yurius: It matters not. What are you doing so late into the night?
Galia's Captain: Heh. A criminal through and through!
Galia's Trooper: We know that you're threatening His Majesty and pulling the strings from behind!
Yurius: What?
Galia's Captain: It's no use pretending. You're trying to use His Majesty for your own gains just like Mallow, aren't you?
Galia's Trooper: Everyone is saying that His Highness Prince Victor should've been the one to ascend the throne.
Yurius: ...
Galia's Trooper: There can only be one reason to choose that stupid weakling of a king over a more worthy and superior heir like Prince Victor.
Yurius: There is no one who has studied our history and cares more about this country than His Majesty.
Yurius: I do not care for how you speak of me. But I will not allow you to mock His Majesty—
Tentacles: ...!
Yurius: ...?
At the nudge of his tentacle, Yurius returns to his senses.
Yurius: (I can't lose my temper and let myself go on a rampage again!)
Galia's Trooper: Nothing more to say, eh? Proof enough that you're the one controlling the king.
Galia's Captain: Murdering the previous king—your own father—wasn't enough for you, was it? I guess this kind of savagery is only to be expected from an unwanted child like you.
Yurius: (His unpleasant voice brings back memories I'd rather forget...)
A memory of when he first met Galia and his men during one of his excursions comes to Yurius's mind.
It was then that, upon losing his temper over the selfishness of Galia's captain, Yurius failed to hold back the power of the primal beast dwelling within him and unleashed its power.
Yurius: (Luckily, it was only heat waves that I let out back then. But in my current state, things may play out differently.)
Yurius: (Should I run? But having found out their identity, it would be wise to stop their signals immediately...)
Galia's Captain: What's your problem? Rare of you to stay so quiet.
Yurius: (Now's not the time to feel intimidated. For the sake of His Majesty, I must...)
Yurius: Destructio!
Tentacles: ...!
Galia's Captain: Get down!
Galia's Captain: Gwah!
Yurius: (Who's that? I couldn't sense his presence at all.)
Seox leaps out from his hiding place and swiftly knocks the two men unconscious. He grabs a nearby bucket and snuffs out the flame on the torch.
Seox: Will that do?
Yurius: Yes... Who are you?
Seox: Seox. I came with (Captain).
Yurius: Seox... Thank you. You saved me there.
Tentacles: ...!
Seox: ...!
Yurius: Apologies—they don't mean any harm. I'll retract them.
Yurius relaxes his body. The tentacles slide smoothly back into his body, shrinking until they are out of sight.
Seox: ...
Galia's Captain: Murdering the previous king—your own father—wasn't enough for you, was it? I guess this kind of savagery is only to be expected from an unwanted child like you.
Seox: (This man's... murdered someone before too?)
Yurius: I don't believe I've introduced myself yet. My name is Yurius, and I belong to the Sky Knights of—
Seox: An airship?
At the sound of propellers from above, the two look up to see a skyskimmer passing by.
Yurius: What is a skyskimmer doing in the middle of town at night?
Albert: This is bad, Yurius! That skyskimmer is sprinkling dark essence all over the district!
Yurius: What? Dark essence?
Albert: Yes, the ship's scattering it everywhere—onto the roofs of buildings, private properties... This is bad. Dark essence attracts monsters, right?
Albert: It'll be nearly impossible to clear it all out before an attack... If that's the case, the hot spring district is in danger!
Yurius: Ergh... How cowardly of them to destroy the very town that is supporting the development of our country...
Seox: You can leave the monsters to us.
Yurius: To you?
Seox: We are the crew known as the Eternals. We'll make sure not even a single monster gets into this town.
Without a moment's delay, Seox jumps over the railing of the roof and makes his way down from the balcony.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 4: In the Dark of Night - Episode 3

The Eternals are hard at work the next morning, not letting a single monster into the hot spring district. Meanwhile, Victor complains to Galia that their plan is not working and leaves for the inn where Audric is staying. Audric happens to look out the window from his room and is surprised when he sees his brother outside.

Soon, morning arrives.
Tweyen: Monsters spotted at two o'clock!
Tien! Feower! Stay on your guard!
Tien & Feower: Roger!
By morning, the hot spring district of Levin has become the target of flocks of monsters.
After receiving Seox's explanation of the situation, the Eternals have positioned themselves at different parts of town to counter the incoming monsters.
With two main gates leading into the city, Tien and Feower are positioned at the east gate, while Seofon and Seox watch over the west gate.
Eahta and Narmaya are in charge of defending against any monsters coming from above, as Anre and Threo move around the town as patrol.
Fif follows Anre and Threo in case anyone is in need of treatment. Meanwhile, Silva is situated on top a building in the middle of town, looking out for potential dangers.
Feower: They're large in number, but each of the monsters poses little threat.
Tien: Mm... But it seems some monsters here are capable of using lightning magic, so we need to stay alert.
Feower: I know. I've had enough of electricity running through me.
Seofon: Whew, they sure like to come in swarms. I didn't know monsters like this existed out here!
Seox: You look like you're having fun.
Seofon: Well, it's not every day that you come to me saying "I need your help"! I'm happy you asked!
Seofon: Asking your friends for help immediately after finding out about the attack is a huge step for you, Seox. You've changed.
Seox: Hmph. I was only thinking that there's no reason not to protect something I can protect.
Seofon: Sounds good to me. Quite the ally of justice you are!
Tweyen: They're swooping in from the sky.
Eahta! Narmaya! I'll leave those to you!
Narmaya: We'll take care of them!
Eahta: Almighty Flurry!
Narmaya: I won't fall behind.
Dawnfly Dance.
Monsters: Groooar!
Tweyen: ...!
They're coming from underground too?
Niyon: Don't worry. I got it.
Monsters: Groar...
Niyon: Good night.
With perfect teamwork, the Eternals drive back the attacking monsters one after another.
Despite the endless swarms of foes, the Eternals show no weakness, flawlessly protecting the town from the threatening invasion.
Mena: What? Just what is going on!
Mina: They really live up to their name as the strongest warriors in these skies...
Mona: Are we even going to get a turn?
Yurius: No use for us to intervene if we are unneeded. Forcing ourselves into the battle will only hold them back.
Albert: Agreed. We should use this time to do what only we can do.
Albert: We need to make sure that not a single person is hurt—for the sake of the upcoming fireworks festival too.
Albert: Thanks to all of you, we were able to notify everyone at the inns to stay inside.
Albert: But there must be visitors who are still out and unaware of the situation. It's our duty to find these people and keep them out of harm's way.
Yurius: People working for the ones causing this uproar have to be hiding somewhere too. We must find and capture them all.
Mina: Understood!
Mona! Mena! Let's focus and carry out our duties!
Mona & Mena: Roger!
Niyon: This sound...
Seofon: Thunder? The weather here has quite the mood swings.
Seox: No problem. We can still fight.
Seofon: That may be true for us, but for the others...
Tweyen: Eek!
Tweyen: Ugh... The lightning grazed me.
Fif: Tweyen, are you okay? I'll heal you right away!
Tweyen: Thanks. The numbness is gone.
Anre: Tweyen, it would be unwise to continue flying in these conditions. Come support us in our patrol.
Tweyen: Got it! I'm sorry—I'll be on the lookout from the ground then!
???: ...!
Vyrn: Ack! It just came outta nowhere!
Threo: Leave it to me! Haaah!
Anre: Whoops.
Anre: Threo, make sure you're tossing them up into the sky. We can't destroy any buildings in town.
Threo: Augh... These guys kinda sting.
Albert: They're called voltshades and appear where lightning strikes.
Lyria: Albert!
Albert: Voltshades regularly discharge their electricity. If you attack right after one of their discharges, you can land a hit without getting electrified.
Threo: ...
Threo: So I just gotta blow them way up into the sky, right? I can do that!
Albert: (Captain), have you seen any suspicious soldiers around town by any chance?
Lyria: Suspicious soldiers?
Tweyen: I saw some people wearing uniforms that were different from those of the Sky Knights. Are they the ones you're looking for?
Albert: Sounds likely. Can you take me to where you saw them?
Tweyen: Of course. Follow me!
Victor: What's going on? The monsters aren't coming in at all!
Galia: My apologies, Your Highness. The skyfarers clothed in capes are stronger than we expected...
Victor: I have things to do here! And I need that wolf man away from my brother in order to do them!
Victor is in the shadows of an alleyway, clicking his tongue in frustration.
Victor: Are you telling me it's fate that these visitors just happen to be here at this time? I don't believe it!
Galia: Where are you going, Your Highness?
Victor: I'm going to make a gamble. If I don't win this, then I am simply unfit for my mission.
Galia: Ugh... He's only using us whenever he wants! I thought His Highness was on our side!
Galia's Vice-Captain: What shall we do, Captain Galia?
Galia: We've no other choice but to bring it out!
Audric: They are truly the strongest of warriors... We have yet to receive any damage despite the onslaught.
Jeno: Your Majesty, please keep away from the window. There is the possibility of a monster flying in from outside.
Audric: Ah... You're right.
Victor: (This should be the place my brother's staying at.)
Leaving Galia behind, Victor arrives at the inn where Audric is staying, looking up toward the upper floor windows.
Victor: (Brother... If you're there, look at me! Face me!)
Audric: Ah! The scepter!
Audric: Huh?
Just as Audric begins to walk away from the window, his scepter topples over onto the ground. The king bends to pick it up, glancing out the window as he does so.
Audric: (Victor! Why is he here?)
Victor: ...
Time stops as the two brothers' gazes lock through the window glass.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 4: In the Dark of Night - Episode 4

Worried that his brother is responsible for the monster attack, Audric slips past Jeno and out of the inn to meet with Victor. Victor challenges Audric to a duel. Meanwhile, Albert successfully captures Galia and his men. Just then, Jeno comes running to tell them that the king has disappeared.

Audric: ...!
Recognizing his brother from beyond the window, Audric begins to panic inside.
Audric: (Why is Victor here? Could it be that... Victor is responsible for this uproar?)
Audric: (No, I can't believe Victor would do something like that!)
Victor: ...
Still glaring up at his brother through the window, Victor uncrosses his arms and beckons to Audric.
Audric: ...
Jeno: Your Majesty? What's the matter?
Audric: N-nothing! I thought the scepter got chipped from falling over, but it seems to be all right after all!
Jeno: ...?
Jeno gets up and goes to stand next to Audric, peering out the window.
Audric: (Ah...)
Jeno: (Doesn't look like there's anything. Perhaps I was thinking too much.)
When Jeno looks out the window, nothing appears to be outside. Seeing neither person nor monster nearby, Jeno returns to his place next to the table.
Audric: (That was close... Did Victor go around to the entrance of the building?)
Jeno: Where are you going, Your Majesty?
Audric: Um... The restroom...
Jeno: Hm... Very well.
Audric: (Sorry, Jeno... I'll be back in no time.)
Slipping over to where Jeno can't see him, Audric quietly sneaks out of the room.
Audric: Victor!
Victor: There you are. Who thought it'd be this easy to bring out the king himself?
Audric: Is all of this... really your doing, Victor? Why would you do something like this?
Victor: It's not me. I merely agreed to work with the lords planning this uproar for my own purpose.
Audric: Your own purpose? And what is that?
Victor: I can't tell you here.
Audric: Why not?
Victor: ...
Victor closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, reaching out to unfasten the clasp of the gauntlet on his left hand.
Victor: I made a gamble and won, which must mean that I, too, am qualified.
Audric: ...?
Audric: Wha!
Victor takes off the gauntlet and flings it at Audric's feet, lowering his voice in a threatening manner.
Victor: You aren't going to say no, are you? As a member of the royal family.
Audric: B-but I...
Victor: I have a spare sword with me. Hurry up.
Audric: ...
Audric slowly bends over to pick up the gauntlet with trembling hands before returning it to Victor.
Victor: Follow me.
Audric: ...
Pale as a ghost, Audric silently follows his younger brother as instructed.
Galia's Vice-Captain: Here it is, Captain Galia!
Galia: Well done! Now hurry up and release it from the cage!
A cage pulled over from a warehouse just outside of the hot spring district is brought over by Galia's men.
The vice-captain pulls away the cloth covering the cage, revealing the ferocious monster contained within it.
Giant Monster: Groooar!
Galia: Yes... I'm glad we decided to bring it over here. Now we can tear the district apart from corner to corner!
Galia: Wha?
Giant Monster: Grr...
Galia's Vice-Captain: Did it just get shot? From where?
Silva: Who knew you were actually bringing in something like this... Thank goodness I kept an eye on you.
Silva whispers this quietly to herself as she looks out from her hiding place in the middle of the hot spring district.
Galia: Argh! Do we have nothing else prepared?
Albert: Freeze! Are you the ones who scattered the dark essence across town?
Galia: What... Albert?
Yurius: Looks like the tables have turned.
Galia: You lowly criminal... I know of your sly ways, currying favor with the king through your study sessions and—
Albert: Did you say... criminal?
Galia: Eek!
The sharp glint in Albert's eyes is accompanied by a flash of lightning that streaks across the sky menacingly.
Mena: Is this... the power of the Skyblade?
Mona: But he doesn't have the Skyblade out! Which of them is this power coming from, Mina?
Mina: Um... I have no idea!
Yurius: ...
Galia: I'm only speaking the truth! He killed the previous king!
Albert: The crime you speak of has already been pardoned by His Majesty. Calling Yurius a criminal even now would be considered an act of rebellion against His Majesty.
Galia: Eeek!
Albert: ...
Galia: I'm very sorryyy!
Albert: Good. Now, take him away!
The Three: Yes, Captain!
Galia's men resign themselves to their capture. They are quickly restrained by Mina, Mena, and Mona and taken into custody.
Yurius: Good grief, Albert. There was no need for you to go so far only because he called me a criminal.
Albert: What are you talking about? I only did what was appropriate.
Albert: Besides, I figured it'd be a little easier for you if I got angry in your stead.
Yurius: Haha... It took all I had to keep myself from laughing back there.
Anre: The monsters' attacks seem to have calmed down as well. The situation should be better now.
Albert: Very well. It's thanks to all of you that the hot spring district was able to pull through this ordeal unharmed. You have my gratitude.
Jeno: Albert! Yurius! There's trouble!
Albert: Jeno? What's the matter?
Jeno: His Majesty has disappeared! I've searched all over the inn for him, but he's nowhere to be found!
Yurius: What did you say?
Victor: We're here.
Audric: Are we really doing this?
Victor: You think I'd challenge you to a duel as a joke?
Victor tosses a sword onto the ground by Audric's feet. He grips his own sword and points it at his brother.
Victor: Come.
Audric: ...
Victor: If you're not going to make a move, then I will!
Audric: Ah!
Seeing the incoming attack, Audric hurriedly picks up the sword from the ground just in time to receive Victor's blow.
The sharp sound of blades clashing rings out across the abandoned arena.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 5: Converging Feelings - Episode 1

Victor and Audric face off against each other at the arena. Suspecting that his brother is being threatened by Yurius to make certain decisions, Victor tries to force Audric to hand over the crown. When Yurius finds the king at the arena, Victor turns toward Yurius and attacks him. Jeno arrives in time to deflect the blow, after which Victor makes his escape.

Audric: Ugh!
The duel between the two brothers begins. Audric's brow furrows as he barely manages to stop his brother's attacks.
Victor: All you've been doing is blocking my attacks. You're the esteemed king of Levin, Audric. Why don't you try hitting back for once?
Audric: Pant, pant... Victor... F-forgive me...
Victor: Forgive you? For what?
Audric: You're angry at me, aren't you? For avoiding you...
Audric: I'm sorry. I want to apologize to you... Forgive me, Victor...
Victor: Stop your whining! We're in the middle of a battle! Just how weak and pathetic can you get?
Audric: (Weak and... pathetic...)
Father: Enough... The crown is unfit for incapable weaklings!
Victor: What, is even that too much for you to understand?
Audric: Sniff...
Victor: Stop crying! Who lets their vision get blurry when they've got someone attacking them?
Audric: But... Sniff...
Victor: Tch. It's because you're so spineless that your authority as king gets taken advantage of.
Victor: You're nothing but Yurius's puppet king. Don't you have any shame?
Audric: Puppet?
Victor: Do you really need me to spell everything out for you!
Audric: Eugh!
Tweyen: I'm sorry. I was on the ground avoiding the lightning, so I wasn't watching the king.
Yurius: It's not your fault. Lightning storms in Levin can get violent.
Tweyen: The skies seem to have calmed down now, so I'll try looking for him from above!
Yurius: (It's impossible that His Majesty would leave Jeno behind and step outside of his boundaries...)
Yurius: ...!
Yurius: (Unless... Could it be His Highness? When I saw His Highness back then, was he headed for...)
Yurius shifts his eyes in the direction of where he had seen Victor walk toward. His gaze falls on the abandoned arena in the distance.
Yurius: (His Majesty's life is in danger!)
Audric: Rrgh...
Victor: You've been quiet for a while now. Don't you have something you should be saying?
Audric: Something... I should say?
Victor: Guess you need everything told to you straight up, huh?
Yurius is threatening you, isn't he? Why are you not asking me for my help, Brother?
Audric: Yurius? Threatening me?
Victor: That much is clear.
Victor: How could Father ever have planned to execute Yurius? It's nonsense! You may be incompetent, but you're not such a fool that you would believe a lie like that, are you?
Audric: You're... You're wrong!
Victor: Wrong about what?
Audric: You're wrong, Victor...
Victor: Hmph. You're leaving me with no other choice.
Audric: Wah!
Victor takes a firm step forward and swings down hard on his brother. Audric falls over and finds the tip of Victor's blade pointed at him.
Victor: Admit your defeat, and hand over the crown to me.
Audric: What?
Victor: Don't make this any more work than it already is.
Audric: Why... You're being too brash.
Victor: It's your fault for not saying anything.
Victor closes the distance between them and moves his blade up, the tip touching the crown on Audric's head.
Victor: Admit it.
Audric: ...
Victor: Admit your defeat!
Audric: ...!
Yurius: Huff, huff... Your Majesty!
Victor: ...!
Audric: Yurius?
Yurius: Run, Your Majesty. You cannot perish here—this country needs you.
Victor: What? Are you suggesting that I'd actually kill my own brother?
Victor: I'm not like yooou!
Yurius: ...!
Victor turns toward Yurius instead, an intense rage building inside him.
Victor: Why are you alive, when Father is dead?
Victor: First my father, and then my brother? Will you not rest until you've destroyed the entire royal family?
Victor: I shall eliminate you! You are the very thing that poisons our land... I can't let you live!
Yurius: Ergh!
Tentacles: ...!
Yurius: No! Don't come out!
Tentacles: ...!
Victor: Haaah!
Yurius: Gragh!
Yurius blocks Victor's attack, but the prince is too strong. The blow sends Yurius's blade flying, and Yurius falls back onto the ground.
Yurius: Rrgh...
Audric: Stop, Victor!
Victor: Dieee!
???: Not on my guard!
Just as Victor is about to deal the finishing blow, a towering figure leaps in front of Yurius, blocking the dagger just in time.
Victor: Tch... Out of the way!
Jeno: It can't be helped... Your Highness, please forgive me!
Victor: Wha!
Vyrn's Voice: Hey! Is everyone okay?
Victor: Tch... Friends of Yurius, huh?
(Captain) and company arrive at the scene. Seeing this, Victor scoops up his sword and reluctantly makes his escape, leaving the arena behind him.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 5: Converging Feelings - Episode 2

Yurius leaves the arena to notify Albert of the king's safety. While comforting the shaken Audric, Jeno explains to the others that, as a rule, a member of Levin's royal family cannot refuse a challenge to a duel. Seeing Audric lament over his own weakness, Niyon plays a melody to give Audric the courage he needs to talk to his brother again.

Audric: Yurius! Are you all right?
Yurius: Yes. His Highness... he's quite strong, isn't he?
Jeno: Luckily I made it in time. I heard from the farsight archer that she saw you heading for the arena, so I came as fast as I could.
Yurius: I apologize for the trouble. Thank you for saving me back there.
Jeno: But how did he get an advantage over you? What happened to the power you had that bound and immobilized me before?
Yurius: The very thing that killed our father... I can't...
Jeno: Hm. Now I understand...
Jeno: However—have you thought about how His Majesty or Albert would feel if something were to happen to you because you restrained yourself like that?
Yurius: ...
Jeno extends a hand and pulls Yurius to his feet, giving him a firm pat on the back.
Jeno: Now go. Tell Albert His Majesty is safe now.
Yurius: Very well.
Yurius bows deeply. He picks up his sword and makes his way out of the arena.
Audric: I'm sorry... that I went out on my own...
Jeno: You can explain later. Here, lean into my fur—it will calm you down.
Audric: Huh?
Jeno shifts closer to Audric and wraps his arms around the king, as if holding a child.
Fif: Um... I don't get it. Why was the king fighting?
Seofon: Hmm. Let's just call it a fight between brothers that went further than expected.
Fif: Brothers wouldn't fight with real swords!
Seofon: Well, each family has its own circumstances.
Vyrn: But Fif's got a point. Why were they fightin' like that anyway?
Jeno: It's not just a simple quarrel. It was a duel.
Lyria: A d-duel?
Jeno: There is an old custom in which any member of the royal family who is challenged to a duel cannot refuse.
Jeno: In the past, there have been those in the royal family who were exiled from refusing to accept challenges over and over again.
Lyria: Exiled? That sounds like a very harsh rule...
Jeno: Levin is a land traditionally led by a glorious hero who unwaveringly guides our people so that our country can become one that is strong.
Jeno: The royal family must serve as a model of how the country should be.
Vyrn: We heard a bit about that yesterday too. But... how do the kings feel about that?
Audric: It's an anachronism. Even when we had no path to pave and no country to make prosper, all we cared about was our power of combat.
Audric: But even if I were to object, someone as weak as myself would only appear to be running away from our customs and traditions.
Audric: I've disappointed Victor many times too... I just want to disappear.
Jeno: Your Majesty...
Niyon: ...
After quietly listening to the conversation, Niyon finally steps forward. Audric looks at her curiously.
Niyon: The people of this land are very grateful to you. So please don't say that about yourself.
Audric: But... are they?
Niyon: I sensed a calming melody flowing through the hot spring district. A melody of the love the people have for their land, and the appreciation they have toward you.
Niyon: The thoughts of the people of Levin are clear, even if you can't hear the melody of their hearts. Isn't that right?
Tweyen: I agree. Everybody at the shops looked so happy. It's obvious to me that the people really love this town.
Silva: And all the visitors are enjoying their time here, from the bottom of their hearts—including us, of course.
Audric: Yes... This is what I had imagined for this place and have worked toward. Everyone in the council also gave their support.
Audric: Still, I found myself unable to face Victor. I know this isn't the Levin that Victor wants to see...
Audric: I'm always scared that he'll criticize my actions, saying that an incompetent weakling like me has no right in making decisions.
Audric: That's why I've been avoiding him all this time... even though I'm supposed to be the king, and his brother.
Niyon: ("Incompetent weakling"... These words are what is tying him down and disturbing his melody.)
Audric: We're brothers, with the same blood running through us... We're supposed to understand and help each other. And yet, I...
Niyon: You can come to understand each other if you take the time to talk it out properly.
Niyon: I don't deny that I hear disappointment and anger in your brother's melody. However, that doesn't mean he despises you.
Niyon: If you can recover your true melody, I'm sure you can make things work.
Audric: My true melody?
Niyon: The words you've been told all this time... The fear they've instilled in you is pulling your strings, tangling and suppressing them.
Niyon: You've been in this state for a very long time. It must have been difficult for you.
Niyon: Tell me. Do you want to talk to your brother?
Audric: Yes... I want to talk to him, and face him.
Niyon: Okay. Then let me help you draw out the courage that you need.
Niyon takes out her instrument and begins to play a lighthearted melody.
Audric: (What a curious song... I feel as if power is surging from within me just by listening to it.)
Audric: (My heart... Somehow, it feels lighter.)
Jeno: (His Majesty's stopped trembling.)
Niyon: (I know. Facing your fears is not something that can be easily done.)
Niyon: (The melody I give to you will serve as the spark you need to face your brother, and to remember the true you.)
Niyon: (Your brother may possess frustration and rage... but in the end, those are emotions born from a melody of worry for you.)
Smiling gently, Niyon continues to strum as she listens to a broken melody slowly piecing itself back to its original form.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 5: Converging Feelings - Episode 3

Seox encounters Yurius on the street and, aware of Yurius's past of having once committed murder as well, asks him what he thinks about living without a way to atone. When Yurius talks of his own reason to live and calls himself a monster, Seox assures him that he is not a monster. After they part ways, Yurius thinks to himself that he would like to speak with Seox again someday.

Yurius: Whew...
Tentacles: ...
Yurius: I thought I told you not to come out unless instructed to.
Yurius pulls on the sleeves of his overcoat as if to hide the tentacles protruding from his back.
Tentacles: ...?
Yurius: It's fine. I'm relieved, even.
Yurius: Under the circumstances just now, His Highness the prince could have easily killed His Majesty and made it look like an accident—but he didn't.
Yurius: The two are family after all. There was no need to worry over the safety of His Majesty.
Tentacles: ...!
Tentacles: ...?
Yurius: Hm?
When his tentacles point to something, Yurius raises his head to see a masked figure standing nearby.
Seox: Have you found the king?
Yurius: Yes, we located him just now. I apologize for the mayhem.
Tentacles: ...!
Seox: ...
Yurius: Stay hidden.
Tentacles: ...!
Seox: What is that power you have?
Yurius: ...
Galia's Captain: Murdering the previous king—your own father—wasn't enough for you, was it? I guess this kind of savagery is only to be expected from an unwanted child like you.
Yurius: (He was there back then. I'm sure he heard it.)
Yurius: Are you here to question me about the crime I committed?
Seox: How did you know?
Yurius: ...
Yurius: Sorry. I did not intend to pry into the pasts of others...
Yurius: But my duty is to prioritize the king's safety, so I had made the necessary investigations on everyone staying at the same inn as His Majesty.
Yurius: And from that, I happened to learn of the crime you were charged with.
Seox: ...
Yurius: Don't misunderstand. I've heard of you from (Captain) and do not believe you to be a threat of any kind.
Yurius: I am simply assuming that you are taking an interest in me because of a reason related to your past.
Seox: You're right in your assumption. You caught my interest.
Seox: There are people around me who have committed crimes through fighting the mafia and villains. But I'm not like them—I took the lives of innocents.
Seox: I don't know much about your land, but... the king you killed wasn't a villain, was he?
Yurius: No, he wasn't.
Seox: I... figured as much.
Yurius: Criminals atoning for their sins—we may be similar in that sense.
Seox: Protecting the current king and working toward a brighter future for your country... That's your way of atoning, huh?
Yurius: ...?
Yes...
Seox: I wasn't being sarcastic there.
Seox: I was just thinking about how, in my case... I realized there was nothing I could do to atone for my sins... when I met that man.
Yurius: Ah. Right, your clan...
Seox: It was something I caused with my own hands. No need for sympathy.
Yurius: ...
Seox: What... do you think of me?
Yurius: What do you mean?
Seox: Do you think me selfish to continue living and walking toward a future I wish for, despite having no way to atone for my sins?
Yurius: That is a difficult question. But if I were to answer frankly...
Yurius: I believe that a criminal should live to atone, but not be restricted to it.
Seox: What makes you say that?
Yurius: I once tried to throw everything away and end my own life.
Yurius: But a friend then risked his own life and came to save me.
Yurius: What's more, he told me that he was going to change the country so that I will never feel regret for choosing to live.
Yurius: He just wanted me there. When I heard that, I felt that I, too, needed to face those honest feelings and respond to them accordingly.
Seox: Yeah. I know that feeling.
Seox: Ever since I murdered my clan with my own two hands, I'd been waiting for the day I'd finally be punished for my crimes.
Seox: It's embarrassing, but I was even afraid that I'd be called a monster, so I lived while continuing to hide myself in the shadows.
Seox: But in the midst of that, I met the Eternals... and (Captain)'s crew.
Yurius: And they saved you.
Gran is the Main Character

Seox: They did. Especially (Captain)...
Djeeta is the Main Character

Seox: They did. Especially (Captain)...
Seox: The captain suddenly challenged me to a battle and defeated me, saying that the winner is now the bigger monster. (Captain) was trying to encourage me.
Yurius: Sounds like something (Captain) would do.
Seox: That's when I thought about the people who accepted me for who I am. I didn't want to let them down.
Seox: It was then that someone who blamed me for what I did appeared. He came to give me the punishment for my crimes.
Seox: But... I wanted to live. So I fought with all that I had. I was desperate.
Seox: I knew that I deserved to die by his hands. Yet... I couldn't give up on my life.
Seox: The light I had always wished for. I'd yearned, despaired, surrendered... and then that light saved me. I was finally able to reach my hand out toward it.
Seox: That is why I fought—to protect that light. Even if it wasn't a righteous choice, I didn't want to lose the future in which I could live with my friends.
Yurius: Righteous...
Yurius: It may not have been a righteous choice, but I believe it could still be a good choice.
Yurius: It's because you're alive now that you were able to save both myself and this place.
Seox: I see... A good choice, huh?
Seox: I appreciate the kind words.
Yurius: They are not only for show. I'm speaking from the heart.
Yurius smiles and puts a hand on his own back.
Yurius: Speaking of which, I haven't answered your original question yet.
Tentacles: ...
Seox: ...
Yurius: This is a part of the primal beast Destructio that dwells within me.
Yurius: It is with this power that I committed murder, and pushed the country I should've been protecting to the brink of destruction. That is my crime.
Seox: I see...
Yurius: I may look and behave like a normal person...
Yurius: But inside me is a hideous and cruel monster that could awaken at any given moment and pose a threat to the kingdom once more.
Seox: But you're not a monster. No matter what you're struggling with, you are still you.
Seox: You're (Captain)'s friend, aren't you? I'm sure the captain would never forgive anyone for calling you a monster.
Yurius: ...!
Seox: And it's not just (Captain). The guy in the red cape, and the kindhearted king...
Seox: They would never see you as a monster.
Yurius: ...
Yurius: You're right... I'm the only one who calls what I'm harboring inside me a monster.
Seox: Then just stop doing it. I, for one, don't want to call you a monster.
Yurius: Right... I'll change my ways.
Yurius: (I know... that acceptance is necessary in order to leave the past behind.)
Seox: Now I kind of understand why (Captain) kept insisting to me that I wasn't a monster.
Yurius: Thank you, Seox. I'm glad we were able to talk.
Seox: Likewise. Um... thank you.
Their conversation comes to a close. Yurius retracts his tentacles and begins to walk, passing by Seox on his way.
Seox: Let's live on.
Yurius: ...!
Yurius: Yes. Let's.
With these words, Seox turns and walks away.
Yurius: ...
Tentacles: ...?
Yurius: Yes. I hope we can talk again in the future.
As Yurius goes on his way, his tentacles slither back into his body contently.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 5: Converging Feelings - Episode 4

Narmaya approaches Victor while he is training in a field and challenges him to a duel. Upon losing, Victor reveals that he wants to take the throne from Audric because his weak brother is falling victim to Yurius's threats. Narmaya urges Victor to have a proper talk with his brother. Just then, Audric appears and invites Victor to take a tour of the hot spring district with him.

Victor: ...
Meanwhile, Victor stands by himself in an empty field, swinging his sword fervently as his father's words come to mind.
Father: Victor. You are an intelligent boy. A son I can be proud of.
Father: One day, I will need to pass on this kingdom to another. When the time comes, there is one thing I want you to do.
Victor: What is it?
Father: It's about Audric. He is a quiet one—and in the rare occasion that he decides to talk, he goes on about nonsensical ideas.
Father: However, he is still a part of the royal family, and this country's treasure. He may often need looking after, but he is still my beloved son.
Victor: Yes, Father.
Father: I am your father, and your predecessor. Someday, I will need to leave this kingdom behind and pass it on to you two.
Father: Victor. Someday when the crown has passed, I hope you will continue to look after Audric.
Father: The world is a harsh place, where I'm afraid Audric will not be able to survive alone. I want you to protect him.
Victor: Understood. I will look after my brother, Father. You can leave it to me.
Victor: (Father loved my brother...)
Audric: But on the day Father died, he shamefully tried to have Sir Yurius executed.
Audric: Father was guilty of terrible deeds himself. To blame my father's death solely on Sir Yurius is too extreme.
Audric: My heart tells me to give him a chance at redemption, so that we may find a path of atonement together.
Victor: (I can't believe he made that speech in front of all the people! Why is it that he listens to every word of that criminal, but refuses to listen to me?)
Victor: Rrgh!
Victor: (Father... I simply cannot fathom what goes on in my brother's mind.)
Narmaya: Hello. I noticed you were training very hard out here.
Victor: ...
Narmaya: O-oh... Did he... not hear me?
Victor: You're interrupting me. Go away.
Narmaya: Well, I suppose I could, but...
Victor: Are you challenging me to a duel?
Narmaya: You could take it that way.
Victor: Fine. En garde!
Soon, Victor finds himself occupied with blocking a flurry of strikes that are faster than the eye can see.
On the other hand, Narmaya nimbly dodges Victor's attacks, watching his moves closely and countering at every opportunity.
Fif: Wha! Why are those two fighting?
Eahta: To test their capabilities.
Fif: That's what Narmaya meant by going to talk to him?
Eahta: Sometimes, it is necessary to determine whether the other is worthy of speaking to through an exchange of blades.
Fif: I told you before! Swords can't talk!
Eahta: There are some who are better at wordless discussion.
Eahta: Or those who are unable to speak their mind at will due to their power.
Fif: That's no good! You gotta stop being so stubborn sometimes!
Eahta: Fear not. This is merely a test of blades—no sacrifices will be made.
Victor: You're wide open!
Victor: Wha!
Narmaya: ...!
Narmaya transforms into a butterfly, sweeping around Victor before laying her blade at his neck.
Victor: I've lost.
Narmaya: Whew, I'm glad I managed to win.
Victor: Hmph, please. You were sure of your victory even before you challenged me.
Narmaya: Was I? You can never be sure who will win until the end.
Narmaya: Although, I sensed that you lost sight of your victory at one point.
Victor: Father always told me... that a hesitant blade never prevails.
Victor sheathes his sword and turns to face Narmaya once more.
Narmaya: Will you talk with me now?
Victor: It's common sense that the loser must listen to the winner. What is it that you wanted to talk about?
Narmaya: Let's see... Why did you challenge your brother to a fight?
Victor: So I could talk to him.
Narmaya: You fought him so the two of you could talk?
Victor: I do not know any other way of discussion. I always talked to my father over a clash of blades.
Victor: Besides, my brother runs away whenever he sees me. If I don't challenge him to a duel, we'll never have the chance to talk one-on-one.
Narmaya: Would it be all right if I asked... what happened between you and your brother?
Victor: It's a long story.
Victor: As a legitimate child of the royal family, since a young age, my brother had always been expected to someday ascend the throne as king.
Victor: But my brother wasn't competent enough. He didn't do well in his studies. His swordsmanship was terrible, and he couldn't understand our father's ideology at all.
Victor: Whenever he spoke—which was rare enough—all he spouted was nonsense. So finally, Father...
Father: You want to make Levin into a place for trade? What would an inept dimwit with no talent for battle know? Do you think our kingdom to be your toy?
Audric: No, I don't... I simply...
Father: If you have the time to make foolish jokes, then why don't you use it to polish your swordsmanship? Just how much do you plan to disappoint me?
Father: Enough... The crown is unfit for incapable weaklings! Devote yourself to the study of history if you wish—I care no longer.
Narmaya: So the previous king... turned his back on your brother.
Victor: Yes. After that, my brother did as my father suggested and hid himself in the royal library, researching on history day after day.
Victor: That is why I strived to become king instead. But then...
Narmaya: Your brother became king after all.
Victor: At first, I thought it was some sort of mistake. But despite multiple investigations, it appears my father still wished for my brother to be king, even on his death bed.
Victor: And that's why I thought I needed to at least test for myself whether my brother was truly ready to be king. That's when...
Audric: Ah...
Victor: Do you have any idea what time it is?
Audric: Sorry...
Victor: Were you checking over the proposal? You just have to sign it. It shouldn't take that long.
Audric: But... I...
Victor: You can't read it? Give it to me. I'll take a look for you.
Victor: Hm. Lord Relph, huh? The provided documents are sufficient, and the information is the same as when Father was in charge.
Victor: I don't see any problems. Everything is as it's always been.
Audric: As it's... always been...
Victor: What, is even that too much for you to understand? I can't believe you're actually parading as the king of Levin.
Audric: ...
Victor: And this one's from Lord Melville, huh? Lord Melville's always been a close acquaintance of Father's—
Victor: Brother! Where do you think you're going?
Victor: When I finally found him after searching high and low, he was asleep in the stables outside with the Saint Lethan Tales in his arms.
Narmaya: I suppose that's not... what a king should've done.
Victor: I don't know if it's because of my scolding, but for a while after that, my brother followed what I or his aide told him to do. But then...
Victor: Yurius came back, and my brother started acting strangely. The werewolf began to follow him around constantly, and the politics of this country changed too.
Victor: It's clear that my brother's being threatened by that criminal. In that case, it is only right that I become king and restore the kingdom to its rightful state!
Narmaya: I understand your frustrations. Still, I believe there's a better place to talk about it than over battle.
Victor: What do you expect me to do? It's not easy getting my brother to talk, you know.
Victor: Even when he was little, he'd rather wet his pants in public than say he had to go relieve himself.
Narmaya: No, I'm sure it's not an easy task.
Narmaya: Speaking your true thoughts is something that requires a lot of courage. Putting your feelings into words is easier said than done.
Narmaya: I've been there as well. There was a time when I only wanted someone's attention, but I couldn't bring myself to say it for the longest time.
Narmaya: It took me so, so long... That led to many misunderstandings, and finally, a battle between us.
Narmaya: But my friend over there, Fif, taught me the importance of putting my thoughts into words. That's how I was finally able to express my true feelings.
Narmaya gives a little wave to Fif before shifting her gaze back to Victor. She smiles gently.
Narmaya: You say you don't know of any methods other than talking through battle, but I don't think that's true. You just told me your story, didn't you?
Narmaya: Why don't you try telling this to your brother, as you did just now?
Victor: It's useless... My brother would never understand me...
Narmaya: Then that makes having a real discussion that much more important. You'll never be able to close the distance between the two of you if you don't try.
Narmaya: Your brother is a kind person, isn't he? I heard that he went to find you right away because he was worried you had called the monsters.
Victor: But... my brother, he...
Audric: I'm really sorry, Victor.
Victor: Brother!
Audric: It was my fault... I kept running away, even though I knew you wanted to talk to me.
Audric's voice trembles. Victor widens his eyes and takes a step toward his brother.
Victor: Have you finally decided to give up the throne?
Audric: Well, no...
Audric: I came to ask if you wanted to take a tour of the hot springs with me, Victor.
Victor: What?
Audric: Please.
Victor: Why the change of heart? What do you want from me?
Narmaya: Now, now. No need to be on your guard like that.
Victor: So I'll find out if I agree to go?
Audric: Yes...
Victor: All right. Since you actually came and asked me yourself, I guess I'll oblige just this once. Let's get going then.
Audric: (I did it... I said it. Niyon's tuning is amazing...)
Fif: Phew! Glad they could talk without using their swords!
Narmaya: I'm glad! Let's hope everything will work out.
Narmaya and company look on as the two brothers walk back toward the hot spring district.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 6: All Ends Well at the Hot Springs - Episode 1

The tour around town does not go well, with Victor in a foul mood and Audric gradually losing confidence. When Audric defers to talking about history, Victor gets angry and tries to leave. Jeno, who had been watching over them from behind, steps up to take the both of them to a certain place.

The Sky Knights of Levin work efficiently to collect the remains of the monsters as well as the dark essence scattered around town.
The incident wraps up without any injuries or damage to the buildings, and a lively atmosphere returns to the hot spring town.
Two people stand at the entrance of the district.
Victor: We're really going on a tour?
Audric: Yes...
Victor glances over at the large figure looming behind them and frowns.
Jeno: ...
Victor: Is the werewolf going to be following us the entire time?
Audric: Yes... Don't worry. Jeno won't interrupt us.
Victor: Where are we going first?
Audric: To the shops. Quite a few new items are now available as souvenirs, so let's take a look.
Victor: All right. Lead the way.
Despite the awkward conversation, the two brothers step under the arch of the district entrance and make their way through the streets.
Audric: Let's see... This was originally a hot spring sanatorium frequented by fighters at the arena...
Audric: The hot spring water here is good for healing wounds. But different facilities specialize in different fields, like the footbath that's effective against bacteria.
Audric: It reduces the odor and leaves your feet feeling clean. We could try it if you want...
Victor: No thanks. Too much trouble taking off my shoes.
Audric: Oh, okay... I guess we'll go straight to the shops then.
Victor: (There he goes, showing off his extensive knowledge... At least it's not about history.)
They walk down the main street of town until they reach a souvenir shop with white, sweet-smelling billows of steam drifting out from it.
Shop Owner: Oh my, it's rare to see you two brothers at the same time! Are you observing the town together today?
Audric: Y-y-yes! I s-suppose you could call it... observation...
Victor: It's my first time here, so my brother is showing me around.
Shop Owner: I see! I'm very honored by your visit, Your Highness!
Shop Owner: Please, have a sample of our manju!
Audric: Oh, um... Thank you...
Victor: ...
Shop Owner: How do you like it? Here, please give this a taste too! That one over there is also worth trying!
Audric: U-um, th-this is quite a lot...
Tweyen: Excuse me! I'd like one of these, please!
Silva: I'll have one of these new ones too.
Shop Owner: Ah, you're the girls from yesterday! Thank you very much! I'll wrap them up for you.
Audric: Um...
Tweyen: Use this chance to make your escape, Your Majesty!
Audric: ...!
Thank you very much.
Audric: Let's visit the thunder dome workshop next, Victor.
Victor: Okay...
Victor: ...
At the workshop, Victor channels his power into one of the thunder domes on display and watches as the electricity flashes inside it.
Audric: You're so good at it.
Victor: Nothing to be proud of.
Audric: It's still in development, since it's hard for those who can't control their magic well to play with it.
Audric: The thunder dome was originally created as a toy for children, by a weapons maker from the northern parts. Now they're being mass produced and sold in bulk.
Audric: The model is customizable, so visitors can make their own thunder dome here in the workshop...
Seofon: Wow, it turned out very nicely! A miniature Stardust Town lit by lightning is pretty edgy!
Audric: Ah, it looks like some visitors have come to collect the thunder domes they made.
Victor: (Those people look familiar...)
Feower: What exactly are we doing here?
Tien: The wolf person said that the king does better when there're people he knows nearby. It apparently calms him down.
Seox: A rather short peace of mind though.
Victor: ...
Audric: Oh, wait!
Feower: Doesn't look like they're getting along at all. And they call themselves adults?
Seofon: The people in town have been saying how they've never seen the two together. Maybe today's the first time they've ever gone out like this.
Feower: Well, whatever... We're just going around collecting the stamps anyway.
Threo: Time for some splashin'! Let's go get some ice cream again after this!
Anre: It's wonderful that they let visitors try it for themselves. Well then, shall we?
Facility Staff: Would you like to try yumomi for yourselves too, Your Majesty? Your Highness?
Victor: No thanks.
Audric: Oh, b-but... it might be fun.
Victor: It's just churning water around. It's too humid in here. I'm going outside.
Audric: ...
Audric continues taking Victor around to various facilities in the hot spring district.
Tourist 1: Hey, isn't that the king of Levin and his brother? I hear the smaller one is the older brother.
Tourist 2: Seriously? I'd assume the opposite! The younger brother has that air of authority to him.
Tourist 1: I thought the same! Where do you think they're going? Think we could follow them for a bit to see?
Victor: Tch...
Tourist 1: Did the younger brother just glare at us? His face was so scary!
Tourist 2: I don't think it'd be a good idea to follow them... We should go.
Victor: ...
Audric: Are you having fun?
Victor: Dunno.
Audric: Oh, okay...
Victor: (Hmph. What kind of expression am I supposed to have?)
Audric: (I was hoping Victor would find something that interests him... The silence is so hard to bear.)
Audric & Victor: (Awkward...)
Audric: (What should I do... It's going to take a while for us to get to the fate binding rock from here...)
Audric looks around, and his gaze falls on a sign slightly down the road.
The sign is something that Audric had written and put up to explain the history of Levin and its land.
Audric: Victor. About why I wanted to turn Levin into a place suitable for trade...
Victor: ...?
Audric: Because we're close to the Grim Basin, the Seven Luminary Knights once used our kingdom as a base for collecting all sorts of things while traveling through the skies.
Audric: The route at the time was quite stormy, but the Sky Knights of Levin valiantly protected all of the commercial airships that crossed our airspace.
Victor: ...
Audric: Well, now stories of the Seven Luminary Knights are merely speculations. The king thought the past to be an embarrassment and had all the records burnt.
Audric: There are a number of theories, but I see it as accepting our kingdom's sudden degeneration from the Glory Age...
Victor: ...
Vyrn: Look! It's the king and his brother!
Lyria: Hehe. I wonder if the "get to know each other with a hot springs tour" plan is going well.
Audric: That's why the attempted invasions from other countries have continued to fail. The kingdom of Levin has always been...
Victor: ...!
Niyon: Doesn't seem to be going well...
Vyrn: Right. You can kinda tell just by looking...
Jeno: It's been like this the whole time.
Niyon: They both want to understand each other better. So why...
Jeno: It may be because they are family. Makes the situation all the more complex.
Lyria: This is hard, isn't it?
Jeno: I didn't want to intervene, but I can't stand watching them anymore. I should do something.
Audric: The Sky Knights of Levin are less an army, and more a special force. Because of this—
Victor: What does that have to do with this hot springs tour?
Audric: Huh?
Victor: I told you I'm not interested in hearing stories about the past! Still, you keep going on and on about them...
Audric: Sorry! I won't talk about history anymore!
Victor: Tch... I'm not enjoying this at all! That's it. I'm leaving!
Jeno: Your Majesty. Your Highness. Do you really think you can come to understand each other at this rate?
Victor: What? It's my brother who's at fault here! He's the one taking me around to these odd places for no reason!
Audric: Sorry... I didn't mean for it to be like this...
Jeno: That's not what I'm talking about.
The Two: Huh?
Wha!
Jeno bends down and grabs the brothers, swinging them over his shoulders.
Jeno: You will accomplish nothing at your current pace. Both of you come with me.
Victor: W-wait! Let me down! I demand you let me down at once!
Despite Audric's surprise and Victor's struggle, Jeno pays the two brothers no heed and makes his way down the rocky tract.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 6: All Ends Well at the Hot Springs - Episode 2

Jeno brings the two brothers to the hot springs, where they have another opportunity to talk. Audric explains how he is trying to change the country for the better through saving Yurius. Victor finally realizes he had been mistaken about Yurius's influence over his brother. Jeno suggests the option of becoming a knight who protects the king to Victor. When Audric grows dizzy from the heat, Victor immediately jumps to pull his brother out of the bath.

The Two: ...
Jeno: There we go.
Victor: Tell me again why we're in a hot bath?
Jeno: Sir Foudre and Sir Astros often soaked in a bath when they had frank discussions.
Victor: Don't tell me you're obsessed with the Saint Lethan Tales too.
Jeno: The tales are true stories.
Victor: You can soak in here with all that fur?
Jeno: Yes, I have received permission to do so.
Jeno sinks himself into the bath between the two brothers, stretching to wrap his arms around both of them. He looks at each of them in turn.
Jeno: Your Highness. If His Majesty goes too much off track, I will stop him, so please give your brother a chance to speak, and listen to him.
Jeno: Your Majesty. I am here beside you, so please take your time. Try to talk as coherently as you do at council meetings.
Victor: Don't tell me what to do!
Jeno: Pardon me, Your Highness, but you are much younger than myself.
Victor: Tch...
Agitated, Victor props his elbow up onto the grass lining the edge of the bath and turns his face away.
Jeno: Your Majesty, why don't you tell His Highness your reason for bringing him to the hot spring district?
Audric: Right...
Audric: (It's so warm and relaxing... Maybe I can do this after all.)
Letting the hot bath calm both his body and mind, Audric takes a deep breath.
Audric: The reason I wanted you to come to the hot spring district, Victor... is because I wanted to show you a new Levin.
Victor: A new Levin?
Audric: That's right. I'm trying to make some big changes to the country, you see.
Audric: Rather than a kingdom that depends on its combat power, I want Levin to be a charming place of culture and trade that other countries can also find attractive.
Victor: If Father ever heard you say that...
Audric: He would be so mad. In fact, I know you're mad too.
Victor: Did Yurius give you this idea? Don't listen to that guy!
Audric: Sir Yurius has no part in this. This is something I'm doing because I myself think it's right.
Victor: Something you're doing... yourself?
Audric: Yes... I know it's hard to believe, since I've been so useless all my life.
Audric: But I'm different now. I'm the one who overcame the people's objections and decided to pardon Sir Yurius.
Victor: Are you crazy? That man killed our father!
Audric: I know. But... Father did terrible things as well. He tried to have Sir Yurius executed...
Victor: Is that true?
Audric: Yes.
Victor: Impossible! Father would never do something so despicable...
Audric: But it's the truth. I found out after conducting various investigations.
Audric: Differentiating good people and bad people is not as easy as it seems. But Father's plan to execute Sir Yurius was definitely wrong.
Victor: I agree that having someone executed because of a personal grudge is preposterous. Still...
Victor: You think Yurius should be pardoned because of that? Father died! Unless you wanted Father to...
Audric: Of course I wanted Father to live. How much do you think I cried after that?
Audric: But crying won't bring Father back to life, and won't erase Sir Yurius's crimes. The only option I have is to work for the purpose of this kingdom...
Victor: You're not making any sense. What do you mean?
Audric: Um... How should I put it...
Jeno: You pardoned Yurius's crimes because you believed saving him would be for the betterment of Levin. Correct?
Audric: Yes, exactly.
Victor: I don't understand why you would think like that.
Audric: Well... as you know, after becoming king, part of my duties is reading over proposals and things like that.
Audric: As it turns out, a lot of the documents are proposals for things that'd only make circumstances better for the one proposing them. It really makes you lose the motivation to sign them.
Victor: Lose motivation for signing? Wait... Is that why you were just staring at the documents with a pen in your hand before?
Audric: Um... Yeah.
Audric: But one time when I was reading through the proposals selected by the council, I found one that couldn't be further from being a selfish request.
Audric: Everything was listed very matter-of-factly. All of the contents of the document were logical. And when I looked to see who had written the proposal...
Victor: Was it Yurius?
Audric: Yes. I felt as if I'd been struck by lightning.
Audric: If he'd wanted to take over our kingdom, I'm sure I'd have realized it. But Sir Yurius showed none of that.
Audric: It was his atonement... He hid his crimes because he wanted to continue devoting himself to our kingdom.
Audric: In that case, I have no choice but to help him! If he can better this country, then allowing him to do so would be the right choice.
Victor: But even if it was for the sake of Levin, I still can't find it in myself to forgive him. How can you stay so calm?
Audric: That's because...
...
Audric: I'm the king of Levin.
Victor: The king... of Levin...
Audric: I made the choice to become king. I don't plan to give up the throne to anyone.
Victor: I see... I see now.
Victor: I thought you were being threatened, but I guess you weren't after all. The changes happening in Levin are all according to your will.
Audric: Sorry... I know you've been worried about me all this time. And I never took the time to explain it to you...
Victor looks down and slowly shakes his head.
Victor: I... can't become king. This country has changed so much without me realizing. Is there... nothing I can do for it now?
Audric: Victor...
Jeno: Your Highness. If you truly wish to be of support to your brother, there is the choice of becoming a knight who protects the king, as I have done.
Victor: Me? A knight?
Jeno: It is not such a rare case. Members of the royal family are superior in the field of martial arts, and many have dedicated their lives to becoming knights.
Victor: But I...
Audric: Right... I'm sure Victor... could... help me...
Jeno: Your Majesty!
Audric: Burble, burble...
Victor: Did the heat get to him?
Jeno: The heat?
Victor: My brother's never been good with heat since he was little! We need to get him out of the bath fast!

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 6: All Ends Well at the Hot Springs - Episode 3

As he tends to the faint Audric, Victor decides to give becoming a knight for the king some consideration. When he finds Seofon and company in the changing room, Victor informs them that the fireworks festival may have to be canceled due to a plan he had set up ahead of time. Meanwhile, Albert and Yurius are making preparations for the festival when a monster appears at the fireworks launch site.

Audric: Sorry... I'm causing so much trouble...
Victor: Just shut up and lie down!
We need a damp towel!
Jeno: Use this!
Victor and Jeno haul Audric out of the bath and into the changing room, fanning the king to help him cool down.
Victor: Can't leave you alone for a second, can I? If you were feeling dizzy, you should've said something!
Audric: But... we don't get to talk every day...
Victor: Well we can't talk if you're passed out either! Did you think about that?
Jeno: Both of you, please. It was my fault that I failed to notice.
Audric: It's not your fault, Sir Jeno... It's because I kept it to myself...
Victor: Argh, stop it! Do you have no sense of shame?
Audric: S-sorry...
Victor: Sigh... Good grief. How can anyone be so pathetic?
Victor: You can't look people in the eye and talk to them. You can't go to a gathering of nobles without disappearing halfway through.
Victor: It was always me who entertained the guests! I had to lie and tell them you weren't feeling well!
Audric: Yes... I know.
Victor: Whenever something wrong happens, you just shut yourself in the library. And then you catch a cold by morning—this happened on multiple occasions.
Victor: You're way too much work! How about you act more like an older brother for once?
Audric: Okay...
Unable to hide his irritation, Victor stands up abruptly and begins to pace around the changing room.
Vyrn: Ack! He's comin' over here!
Victor: Hey. What do you think you're doing there?
Gran is the Main Character

Seofon: Well, uh.... We were juuust thinking of having a nice soak in the bath...
  1. Sorry...

Djeeta is the Main Character

Seofon: Well, uh.... We were juuust thinking of having a nice soak in the bath...
Choose: Sorry...
Seofon and company sheepishly come out from their hiding place behind the shelf.
Victor: Tch... No wonder I thought I saw some familiar faces here and there.
Feower: If you need ice, I can go get some.
Victor: No need. His face isn't as red anymore.
Vyrn: But you know, I'm glad to see that you're actually nice to your brother!
Victor: Hmph... Please. I'm only getting forced to babysit this incompetent weakling as his younger brother.
Victor: Thanks to having this pathetic excuse of an older brother, I've always had the shorter end of the stick.
Victor: Every time he ran away, I was the one who had to run around the castle to find him. And after he ascended the throne, I was the one who gave him advice on what to do.
Victor: I hated my older brother! He's a crybaby, a coward, and a good-for-nothing who only existed to disappoint me!
Audric: I'm the king of Levin.
Audric: I made the choice to become king. I don't plan to give up the throne to anyone.
Victor: He's always been... like that...
Seofon: I don't mean to be impertinent, but what if you tried being honest? You want to get to know your brother better, don't you?
Feower: Being stubborn won't help the two of you to repair the relationship, much less get along better.
Victor: Quiet! Don't tell me what to do!
Victor turns away from them.
Victor: (I promised Father...)
Father: Victor. Someday when the crown has passed, I hope you will continue to look after Audric.
Father: The world is a harsh place, where I'm afraid Audric will not be able to survive alone. I want you to protect him.
Victor: (But what I myself truly wish for... is...)
Audric: Thank you. I feel much better now.
Jeno: I'm glad you've recovered, Your Majesty. From now on, I will ensure that you do not stay in the heat past your physical limit.
Victor: Tch...
Victor: Hey. Jeno, was it? How exactly do you become a knight for the king?
Jeno: Will you take on the role?
Victor: I didn't say I would! I'm just asking for reference.
Audric: You're interested? But why?
Victor: There is no need for two kings in a single land. If you are so inclined to continue being king, Brother, then I have no choice but to seek a different path.
Audric: So you're accepting me as king?
Victor: I have always believed Father's ideals to be best for the country. I don't know if your ideas for Levin will be good for it or not.
Victor: But I saw the smiles of the people in the hot spring district.
Victor: And from that, I thought, maybe I can try placing my trust in you.
Audric: I see. I'm surprised—I thought you would be against everything I did.
Audric: You were the one who's worked hard up until now to someday ascend the throne, so to you, I'm sure I was nothing but an obstacle in your path...
Victor: That's not how I see you.
Audric: Huh?
Victor: I only worked toward the throne because I thought you would never be fit to be king.
Victor: You have no idea how humiliating it was for me when Father told me to look after you.
Audric: Right...
Victor: If you've decided to be king out of your own free will, Brother, I won't stop you. In exchange...
Victor: Don't show that pathetic side of yours anymore. If you make any judgments unfit for a king, then I'm going to steal the crown from you.
Audric: Thank you. I'll strive to become a king whom you can be proud of, Victor.
Jeno: Hm?
Just then, the sudden sound of fireworks being launched interrupts them. Audric and company lift their eyes to the sky.
Audric: It appears they're testing the fireworks. It's about time for the fireworks festival to begin, isn't it?
Audric: Victor, all of us are planning to attend the festival together. Would you like to join?
Victor: Ah, I suppose I wouldn't mind...
Victor: Wait, the fireworks festival... It's already time?
Audric: Victor? Is something wrong?
Victor: Well, um...
Victor: I'm sorry, Brother... At this rate, the fireworks festival may have to be canceled.
Audric: What do you mean?
Albert: And... there!
Yurius: Is this all for the equipment needed for launching the fireworks?
Albert: Yeah, thanks for the help.
Albert and Yurius are at the shore of the river running along the hot spring district, preparing for the fireworks festival.
Albert once worked as an apprentice under a pyrotechnician when he went to visit Auguste, a popular tourist destination.
He had relayed the skills he learned to artisans in Levin after, and tonight is the first time they are attempting to adopt the practice in the form of a festival.
Albert is at the launch site, overseeing the area and making sure everything is in order.
Albert: Shouldn't you be on your way? You want to keep an eye on the venue, don't you?
Yurius: Yes, there is a high possibility His Highness will be there. Don't worry—I have my subordinates on the watch.
Albert: Ah, I see. You want to avoid any direct contact.
As they continue their preparations, a low rumble echoes across the sky above them.
Yurius: Thunder was rumbling this morning as well. It seems the thunderclouds are back.
Albert: A bit of wind and rain shouldn't be a problem for the fireworks, but let's hope nothing beyond that occurs.
Yurius: Right.
Hm?
Yurius notices a suspicious flash of light coming from a dark hill nearby.
Yurius: Albert, are you planning to launch fireworks from over there as well?
Albert: No. We'll only be launching from this area—
Sky Knight: There's trouble, Captain Albert! A monster has been spotted on top of the hill!
Albert: Monster? Can the knights not take care of it?
Sky Knight: The thing is, lightning magic does not appear to be effective against it. Its electrical discharge is too strong for us to get any closer!
Yurius: Just what kind of monster could—
Yurius: ...!
Mysterious Monster: ...!
Albert: Is that the monster? It's coming this way!

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Chapter 6: All Ends Well at the Hot Springs - Episode 4

The monster, called a Levinrock Spirit, turns out to be something Victor instructed a lord in northern Levin to release. Yurius arrives at the launch site and works with Victor to control the situation. However, the electricity the monster discharges lights the fireworks' fuses. The Eternals arrive just in time to protect the spectators in town from the exploding fireworks.

Victor: The monster at the launch site is called a Levinrock spirit, a type of monster that appears in the crystalized lightning mines in the north.
Victor: A Levinrock spirit is born when a voltshade melds itself into a large slab of crystalized lightning. It's also immune to lightning magic.
Victor: I chose it because I knew it would be difficult for the Sky Knights to handle...
Audric: Did you really let it loose, Victor? So it wasn't someone else's plan, but yours?
Victor: Yes. It's separate from the monster attack this morning. I issued an order to a northern lord to release the monster.
Victor: I thought it would be effective in bringing down your reputation at the festival, and make it easier for you to relinquish the crown.
Audric: I see. Thank you for being honest with me.
Audric: (Victor is regretting his actions. I can't let what he did hurt anyone!)
Jeno: I know a shortcut to the fireworks launch site. Hurry, Your Majesty!
Audric: Right!
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Sky Knight: Ugh! The monster's completely taken control of the area!
Yurius: At this rate, the fireworks are going to ignite. If the cannons topple over, the fireworks may fire right into the audience. We can't let it happen.
Albert: Inform the venue guards of the situation immediately and evacuate everyone in the area!
Sky Knight: Yes, sir!
Audric: Pant, pant... Sir Albert! Are you all right?
Yurius: Your Majesty!
Yurius: ...!
Victor: ...!
Audric: (Oh no! I didn't think Sir Yurius would be here as well!)
Seofon: The situation's getting pretty bad, isn't it? Anything we can do to help?
Albert: The Eternals!
Yurius: What brings you here, Your Majesty?
Jeno: Allow me to explain.
As they continue moving, Jeno describes what Victor had told them earlier.
Albert: A Levinrock spirit... Have you heard of it before, Yurius?
Yurius: I heard rumors when I visited the northern parts to arrange for the import of thunder domes to the hot spring district.
Yurius: Apparently Levinrock spirits are born very rarely, but pose a threat for days when they do appear. Mining is usually halted until the monster's energy runs out by itself.
Audric: ...
Albert: So they wait until it runs out of energy? Is there no other way to handle the creature?
Yurius: That is uncertain, as it is seen as a type of natural phenomenon. Of course, I do not intend to wait until it naturally disappears.
Tien: Mm... This is an idea from simple observation, but would it be possible to break the rock and lure the spirit to come out of it?
Tien: Threo can probably break it easily.
Threo: Hm? You want me to break that thing? That's easy enough. I'll just go and—
Yurius: I would advise against breaking it at this point in time. There is risk of the electricity released from the broken rock igniting the fireworks.
Niyon: You mean we need to eliminate the Levinrock spirit in its current location? But...
Tweyen: It's impossible. With that much electrical discharge, we can't even get close to it...
Silva: Pinpointed attacks won't work on something as big as that, so sniping it won't be an option...
Feower: What about sinking it into the water?
Anre: That would be rather dangerous. The river may conduct the electricity, causing the fireworks at the launch site to ignite all at once.
Fif: Hm... Do you think there's some sort of way we could lure the monster to where we want it?
Yurius: (Leading it away... Perhaps His Highness can.)
As he thinks, Yurius unconsciously shifts his gaze to Victor.
Victor: ...?
Yurius: ...!
My apologies.
Victor: If you have something you want to ask me, just say it. I am responsible for the situation we're in, after all.
Audric: Victor...
Yurius: Thank you very much.
Yurius: The Levinrock spirit came down to the launch site without any hesitation, almost as if it were being guided by something.
Yurius: Would you have an idea as to what that may be, Your Highness?
Victor: Frosted crystals. They're a type of crystal found at crystalized lightning mines that don't conduct electricity.
Victor: Frosted crystals are merely stones discarded during the mining process, but it appears Levinrock spirits highly dislike them.
Victor: In the northern regions, the crystals are scattered along the outside of towns to repel Levinrock spirits.
Victor: I had frosted crystals scattered in the same way here so that it'd have no choice but to make its way down to the fireworks launch site.
Yurius: I see.
Victor: That's it. Is the information of any use?
Yurius: Yes, very much so.
Yurius: Albert. Jeno. Everyone. I want all of you to go and collect all the frosted crystals that have been scattered around this area.
Yurius: We need as many as we can—doesn't matter if pebbles are mixed in with them. Can I ask all of you to do that?
Albert: On it! I'll collect the ones scattered over there, and leave the ones around here to the rest of you!
Audric: Victor and I will assist too!
Yurius: Very well. Please take care not to get yourselves injured.
Anre: I see. You plan to drive the monster away by collecting the frosted crystals and placing them around the launch site instead.
Seofon: As for smashing the crystalized lightning, leave that to us. A few of us are quite skilled at that kind of thing.
Yurius: Thank you.
Yurius: ...!
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Eahta: It appears one of the fuses caught a spark.
Niyon: The cannon is toppling over this way too. This could be dangerous.
Yurius: Ergh... We won't be able to evacuate everyone in time.
Seofon: Then I guess we'll have to dive straight in. It's fireworks against fireworks!
Yurius: Fireworks... against fireworks?
Seofon: It's my first time doing something like this, but who knows? Maybe it'll work. We're left with no other option anyway.
Tweyen: Right... Think you can do it, Silva?
Silva: If it's in range, no problem. Besides, I wouldn't want to pass up on a chance to fight side-by-side with you.
Feower: Good grief. This has become a rather troublesome hot spring getaway.
Tien: Mm... But I don't want all our good memories from this trip to go to waste. Let's give it our best effort.
Threo: Hahaha! Things are gettin' interesting!
Niyon: I'll listen to the sounds and tell all of you from which direction the attacks will be coming.
Anre: Much appreciated. If worst comes to worst, I will put up a protective barrier.
Fif: Grampy! Narmaya! Let's do our best to protect everyone on this island!
Narmaya: Right! We're not letting anything get past us!
Eahta: One wrong shot and the entire area will explode. Remember not to let your guard down.
Seox: I won't let a single person get hurt. Let's do this.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Ending - Episode 1

(Captain), the Eternals, Victor, and the others succeed in defeating the Levinrock Spirit and protecting the spectators. With the situation under control again, the fireworks festival restarts. Albert uses the Skyblade to call on lightning, adding to the effect of the show. The crew, Audric, and company enjoy the fireworks together with the audience in town.

Tien & Feower: Haaah!
Tweyen & Silva: There!
You're wide open!
The Three: Yah!

Hah!

Hrrgh!
Threo & Seox: Hraaah!
Kiieeei!
Seofon & Anre: How's that!
Take this!
  1. Haaah!

Choose: Haaah!
The Eternals manage to catch every single firework shot at them, launching them high into the sky until the night is lit with luminous blossoms.
Tourist 1: Wooow! That's so beautiful!
Tourist 2: They're launching them into the sky themselves! I can't take my eyes off the fireworks!
Sky Knight: Attention! You need to evacuate immediately!
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Tourist 1: Eeek! What is that?
Tourist 2: That rocky-looking device just shot out lightning! How does that work?
Yurius: This is truly a miraculous feat. You really don't let a single shot get past you.
Niyon: ...!
This melody I hear...
Albert: Yurius! I've put all the frosted crystals we found together! Will this be enough?
Yurius: Yes, that should suffice. Now the problem lies in how we should scatter these around the launch site...
Victor: Give it to me! I'll do it!
Audric: Victor?
Victor yanks the bag of frosted crystals from Albert and makes a mad dash for the fireworks launch site.
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Victor: ...!
Tweyen: Hey, is he going to be all right?
Silva: If he gets hit by the lightning, he's a goner... He'll get electrified once he falls in the river!
Jeno: I'll bring him back!
Albert: No! You'll be putting yourself in danger, Sir Jeno!
Audric: Come back, Victor!
Victor: I have no reason to fear lightning! In my veins runs the blood of he who founded our land—the first king of Levin himself!
Victor: Now, come! Try and catch me!
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Provoked by Victor's bold actions, the Levinrock spirit shoots out bolts of lightning in all four directions.
Despite the narrow foothold, Victor moves swiftly, dodging the lightning attacks. However, the monster is far from done.
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Albert: It's powering up for a big attack! His Highness won't be able to avoid it!
Victor: I'm not backing dooown!
The moment the Levinrock spirit releases a deathly charge of electricity, Victor throws the sword into the sky.
The beam of lightning swerves toward the sword. Without a moment's delay, Victor dodges the monster's fist and slides between its feet, slipping behind it.
Threo: Whoa, he's good!
Audric: (I can't bear to watch...)
Victor: This is the end! Glory to Levin!
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Once the frosted crystals are scattered around the Levinrock spirit's feet, the monster's lightning flickers. Weakened, it turns and begins to run from the launch site.
Seofon: Now's our chance! Threo! Eahta!
Threo & Eahta: You got it!
Understood!
Threo & Eahta: Astro Divergence!
Almighty Flurry!
Levinrock Spirit: ...!
Threo and Eahta immediately close in on the foe, unleashing a single, powerful attack that creates a fissure in the monster's body.
Anre: Arm the Bastion!
Tourist 1: Eeep!
Beyond Anre's barrier, a giant pillar of lightning shoots up into the sky as the body of the Levinrock spirit crumbles into dust.
Voltshade: ...!
Vyrn: Looks like things've subsided...
Seox: Yeah.
Narmaya: Huh? Do you hear that?
Just as the crew breathes a sigh of relief, the people that had been watching from the town let out loud cheers, applauding the heroes.
Tourist 1: That was amazing! I've never seen such an impressive show—not even in Auguste!
Tourist 2: All those roars of thunder really made my heart pound! I'm so glad I was here to see it!
Sky Knight: So is there... no need to evacuate anymore?
Lyria: It looks like everyone thought the battle was a show for the fireworks festival...
Yurius: Sigh... Hopefully we won't have to put on a show this dangerous ever again.
Silva: Um... So what do we do now?
Tweyen: I guess... just wave at them?
The Eternals muster smiles and wave their hands at the crowd before gathering back at the fireworks launch site.
Victor: ...
Audric: Victooor!
Victor: Ack! Stop crying, stupid! And don't cling onto me like that!
Audric: Why did you do something so dangerous! I was so worried!
Victor: It was my fault the monster appeared in the first place... Sorry. I mean it.
Vyrn: Haha. Glad you guys are gettin' along now!
Yurius: ...
Anre: Will that be it for the festival?
Albert: No, there are still the fireworks. After we've confirmed the safety of the situation, we will restart the show.
Albert: Please feel free to enjoy it from the venue.
Seofon: Thank you. Then we'll do just that.
Albert: Thank you as well, (Captain). You've saved us yet again.
Lyria: Of course! I'm glad things have calmed down. We'll be watching from the venue too!
With the threat taken care of, the crew part with Albert and Yurius and make their way to where the spectators are.
Albert: The remaining cannons look all right. We should be able to get the show going without a problem.
Albert: Thunder, huh... The very symbol of Levin.
As the pyrotechnicians are getting the fireworks ready, Albert stands beside them, looking up at the rumbling clouds above.
Albert: The thunderclouds came at just the right time. Let's give it a try.
He reaches for the Skyblade beside him and places a firm grip on the handle.
Vyrn: Ooh, it's starting!
Seox: Light that blooms in the night sky... It's impressive how they're able to use the darkness to create something so beautiful.
Tweyen: There's something refined about wearing a yukata and watching fireworks, isn't there?
Silva: Yeah. It's a wonderful experience.
Tien: I'd really like to bring the rest of our siblings here too, someday.
Feower: Right. It'll be hard to describe this to them with only words. When we return, let's plan a trip for all of us.
Niyon: Isn't it pretty, (Captain)?
  1. Yeah.

Choose: Yeah.
Niyon: I'm glad we can watch this together. If I wasn't able to hear your melody beside me, I'd be scared.
Eahta: Magnificent.
Fif: Whoooa! Did you see that? The lightning shot up and went boom in the sky!
Narmaya: I did see! I wonder how they did that.
Eahta: An intriguing use of lightning indeed.
Albert: Hup!
At the launch site, Albert swings the Skyblade each time fireworks are sent into the sky.
Albert: Haaah!
Lightning is called every time Albert raises his blade, and when he swings it up, the lightning shoots up into the sky.
Yurius: Truly beautiful.
Albert: Isn't it? I especially wanted you, my friend, to see this.
Albert: Why don't you try making fireworks with me next time? Decorating the sky yourself like this is an incredible experience.
Yurius: Haha, are you sure you want me to do that? Once I start my research, I just might surpass my teacher.
Albert: Heh, perfect. Together, we'll light up the night sky, the town, and the people of Levin!
Threo: This is even crazier than the big splash! I wanna try doing this next!
Seofon: I don't think they're letting people try fireworks, but I'm glad to see you're having a great time.
Anre: There were some hindrances, but it seems our get-together is a success after all.
Seofon: Yeah! I couldn't be happier with this!
Victor: These are the so-called fireworks, huh... Color me impressed.
Jeno: I'm glad the both of you were able to come witness this together.
Audric: Yes.
Audric: Um, Sir Jeno. Thank you for suggesting the option of being a knight to Victor.
Jeno: His Highness is also a precious member of the royal family whom I must protect. It was simply my duty to guide him when he was lost.
Jeno: Besides, there is nothing better than for brothers to get along.
Audric: Yes... Brothers.
Audric: (Someday, I hope Sir Yurius, too, can join us...)
In the hot spring district, the people's faces are lit with smiles and surprise as they look up into the sky, at the blossoms of light and streaks of lightning.
When the wondrous show finally comes to a close, the cheers and applause are deafening, ending the night in a spectacular fashion.

A Sweltering Eternal Getaway - Ending - Episode 2

The next morning, the crew head to collect their prizes for the stamps they collected. Audric, Jeno, and Victor arrive to express their gratitude for the crew's help in saving the hot spring town. (Captain) and company take turns drawing the lottery for prizes, and Seofon ends with the grand prize—a replica of the Skyblade. Seofon takes the replica sword's spirit before gifting the replica to Audric, who is overjoyed. After departing from Levin, Seofon stands on the deck of the ship, refreshed from the trip and eager to continue his work in protecting the skies.

The day after the fireworks festival, (Captain) and company finish their preparations and head to the entrance of the hot spring district for their departure.
Vyrn: Three days went by so fast! I kinda wish we could stay longer.
Lyria: Yeah. Let's come back again with everyone, (Captain)!
Anre: Haha. I have a few places I was unable to visit, so I, too, would like to make some time to enjoy the hot spring district again.
Audric: Ah, good! You're still here.
Seofon: Oh my. Are you here to send us off yourself, Your Majesty?
Audric: Yes, since I, um... wasn't able to thank all of you properly yesterday.
Audric: My deepest gratitude goes to the Eternals, (Captain), and everyone here. Thank you.
Victor: Allow me to show my appreciation as well.
Jeno: Thank you for all of your help.
Tien: Not at all. Fighting is our specialty, after all.
Seofon: Will you be heading back as well, Your Majesty?
Audric: Yes, I will be returning to the castle after this.
Audric: By the way, will you be stopping by the lottery center to test your luck with the stamps you collected?
Fif: Yep! I collected the four stamps I need for the lottery!
Threo: Me too! Does the prize include food?
Audric: There are some refreshments included in the prizes, yes. I hope all of you can receive something nice in the lottery!
One by one, (Captain) and company take their stamp sheets to the reception desk and turn the lottery wheel.
Vyrn: Guess we got participation prizes. A souvenir towel's pretty cool!
Tien: Hehe, Feower and I also each received a towel. Now we all have matching towels.
Feower: Should be pretty useful for cleaning.
Fif: Ooh, I got soap! What about you, Narmaya? Grampy?
Narmaya: I received an aromatic sphere for using in the bath. It's supposed to smell really nice.
Eahta: My prize is a multiuse cloth with the traditional crest of Levin on it. Quite the luxurious item.
Niyon: I also received a cloth. This pattern would match a yukata perfectly.
Silva: Hm, I got a small bottle of grape juice. The label's so cute—I think I'll put the bottle somewhere for display when I finish drinking it.
Tweyen: Mine is lightning bath salts. I wonder what these will be like?
Threo: Yaaay, I got raisin cookies!
Seox: Hm, a souvenir towel...
Anre: Is this... a wine glass? A lovely souvenir.
Seofon: Look at all of you, so excited about your prizes! Last is me, I guess. Let's see what I get.
Seofon takes hold of the lottery wheel handle and turns it slowly.
Seofon: Hm? A... gold marble?
Audric: Congratulations! You've won the grand prize!
Seofon: The grand prize! Does that mean I get something really special?
Audric: Certainly! I shall bring it over immediately.
Audric receives the prize from the reception and stands in front of Seofon, hiding the item behind him.
Audric: The grand prize you have won, Seofon, is... this! Ta-da!
Audric: The Skyblade!
Vyrn & Lyria: Wha!
Audric: Or, a replica of it!
Lyria: That surprised me... For a moment, I thought it was Albert's sword...
Threo: By replica, you mean a toy, right? What's that good for?
Anre: The Skyblade is the sword the hero in the Saint Lethan Tales wields, is it not? I read it in one of the descriptions His Majesty wrote.
Audric: Indeed it is! I borrowed the blade from Albert and had it intricately replicated.
Audric: For safety reasons, lightning does not come out of it unfortunately, but anybody who wields this can become the next Sir Foudre!
Victor: You had this made because you wanted to see it, didn't you...
Jeno: A small number of these swords have been made for giving out to regular visitors in the future.
Victor: What're you supposed to do with something like that? Who'd want a replica?
Seofon: Whoa, look at the sharpness in the edge of this blade! What a fantastic present! Are you sure I can take it back with me?
Victor: I spoke too soon...
Audric: Isn't it magnificent? Not to mention its incredibly light weight! With this, even children can swing it without trouble!
Seofon: Ah, excellent point! A real blade would be much too heavy for a child to hold.
Audric: Exactly! Although I had it made for the lottery grand prize, I almost wish I could have one myself!
Seofon: Is that so? Then allow me to present this to you as a gift, Your Majesty.
Audric: Huh? But this was specifically created for the enjoyment of visitors to our town...
Seofon: Ah, but of course I wouldn't do something as uncouth as returning a present I had only just received.
Seofon: I'd like the Skyblade very much for myself, but I also wish to give it to you as a present. In that case... please watch closely.
Seofon puts his hand over the replica sword. A translucent figure of the blade floats out of the toy, as if the blade's soul is being removed, and flies into Seofon's hand.
Audric: You divided the sword!
Seofon: This is called a spirit sword. I collect my swords in this way, you see.
Audric: That's amazing! It's my first time seeing something like this!
Seofon: Now, will you do me the honor of receiving this replica Skyblade as a commemorative souvenir of our encounter, Your Majesty?
Seofon: No need to hold back—it is a present I'm willingly giving to you.
Audric: ...!
Audric: Thank you so much! I shall treat this as an heirloom and treasure it forever!
Victor: Stop that! Don't make a toy a royal treasure!
Jeno: Gahaha!
Victor: It's not funny!
Lyria: Hehe. I'm glad to see that both the king and Seofon are happy!
The needle of the clock at the information center ticks along contently as the crew smile at each other.
Silva: Well, it's about time for me to catch my airship back. I'll be taking my leave here.
Vyrn: Yeah, our ship's waitin' for us too. Guess it's time!
Audric: Very well. Please take care on your way back, everyone!
Audric: We hope you enjoyed your time in Levin! Thank you all very much, and we happily await your next visit.
Lyria: We're looking forward to next time too! Please send our regards to Albert and Yurius!
Audric, Victor, and Jeno wave goodbye as (Captain) and company leave to continue their respective journeys.
Seofon: There're still a lot of areas that need improvement, but Levin sure was a nice place.
Seofon stands on the deck, looking down at the kingdom of Levin from the clouds. He summons the replica of the Skyblade.
Seofon: I've never had a replica spirit sword before. I wonder if I can actually use this in battle.
Seofon swings the blade, as if testing its capability.
Seofon: Glory to Levin!
Haha, not bad.
Seofon: All right! Now that we've had some time to refresh ourselves, we Eternals have work to do!
Seofon raises his arms and stretches, just as the ship sails past the thunderclouds and into clear, blue skies.
