Lore

Halton Palace

Once a summer residence of the Kreshstein royal family, it now serves as housing for a wide range of residents. Though called a palace, it is in fact a massive complex linked to noble estates, government offices, and shops. Its expansion began when the royal family, strained for funds, opened it to private use. The result is its unusual structure—born not of pride, but of necessity. Does that make it a disgrace, one may wonder. But no, it is simply history.

Fifth Street

Blessed with plentiful water flowing into the salt lake, the island has long supported thriving industry. Fifth Street remains home to many artisans, a legacy that endures to this day. With seawater now more readily available, salt production has boomed, gaining a strong reputation and fueling a rise in restaurants across the island. At twilight, the glow of countless departing boats paints a breathtaking scene—though in reality, they are simply craftsmen heading out for a drink after a long day's work.

Central Avenue

The road once known as Central Avenue lives on as the canal that shares its name. The town of memories now lies beneath clear, shimmering waters, preserved as it once was. Boats have become the primary means of travel, and exchanging greetings through windows is now part of daily life. The already elegant streets have taken on a touch of mystery, drawing in more visitors. Perhaps the water has washed away the island's scars. In any case, the risen tide now marks a boundary between past and present.

Stillwater Park

The waterways are off-limits for swimming, and walking about in swimwear is strictly prohibited. Yet in this increasingly open and relaxed atmosphere, few can resist the urge to play in the water. The beach lies some distance away, so residents often dip their feet into the sea here instead. They chat over dinner plans, wave to familiar boatmen, then return to their conversations as ripples spread across the surface.
