Happy Birthday Cutscenes

1

Morality.
(Singularity, destiny converging on you is a matter of great consequence to the Sky Realm.)
Disquiet.
(Of course, I realize you may not have wished for any of this.)
Worry.
(I feel sorry for the especially great burden placed on you.)
Encouragement.
(Singularity, you have done a most remarkable job making it thus far in this trying world.)
Expedience.
(I realize you are already set on the path laid out before you...)
Rights.
(But considering the grave danger it presents, I would not blame you if you chose otherwise.)
Blessing.
(Whatever path you choose, know that I will support you every step of the way.)
...
(Singularity... No, youngling. May you find many blessings in your journey ahead.)

2

Blessing.
(Happy birthday, Singularity. Blessings unto you for spending your year in good health.)
Adversity.
(In that year's time, I am sure you were met with many obstacles that threatened your well-being.)
Trouble.
(There were many moments when I wished to help you...)
Contrition.
(But, unfortunately, my power is far too great to lend you a hand.)
Disruption.
(In fact, my assistance is more likely to be a bother than a boon.)
Wish.
(I do hope you will forgive me for being merely a bystander in your journey...)
Purity.
(Oh, but it is truly a privilege to see you overcome adversity with such dignity and grace.)
Solace.
(Watching you grow brings me a great sense of comfort, Singularity.)
Support.
(I would like for my power to be a tree splint in your journey—a tool that is both supportive and unobtrusive.)
Ache.
(To that end, I, too, wish to grow so that I may one day aid you as a splint would.)
Longing.
(I am still far from perfect, of course... But I am glad for the opportunity to change with you.)

3

Celebration.
(Oh, you're awake. Blessings unto you for your day of birth, Singularity.)
Excellence.
(You have overcome hardship and lived to see another year.)
Succor.
(Please allow me to express my admiration and gratitude for your efforts. Today, I shall see to your every need.)
Assistance.
(How, you ask? Hmm... Shall I begin by helping you change?)
Intricacy.
(I shall remove this here... Then pull there...)
Failure.
(I almost tore your nightwear just now, didn't I? My apologies...)
Regret.
(Perhaps my assistance would only be detrimental...)
Yearning.
(I only wished to be a source of support for you. To be by your side...)
(Captain) tells Galleon that those words alone mean more than anything.
Love.
(Thank you. Your kindness truly knows no bounds.)
Indebtedness.
(It is a virtue mightier than any strength of arms.)
Hope.
(My dearest wish is that it retains its purity for yet another year.)
Aid.
(And for my part, I shall devote every effort to turning away all that would mar it.)

Happy New Year Cutscenes

1

Wonder.
(Singularity, why are you up at such an early hour?)
(Captain) is on the deck of the Grandcypher, explaining the New Year's sunrise to Galleon.
Sunlight...
(So this day marks the full cycle of the four seasons, I see...)
Acknowledgement.
(Mortals can be rather creative in affirming their existences in this distorted world.)
Puerility.
(The more I learn about these customs, the more I come to appreciate them.)
Acquiescence.
(I appreciate your instruction on the matter. Now then, shall we watch the sunrise together?)
Affection.
(Come closer, Singularity. I will grant you a most warm blessing with my embrace.)
Concern.
(I realize we should be focusing on the sunrise, but I would not want the low temperature to affect you negatively.)
Restraint.
(You have no need to hesitate, for I am more than ready to share my warmth with you.)

2

Celebration.
(Here is to another great year... What a wonderful phrase, Singularity.)
Predicament.
(Hardships abound in the sky. To live in it is to live in challenge.)
Friendship.
(By joining with others, mortals overcome predicaments they would struggle to handle on their own.)
Tribulation.
(With mutual support, they weather the worst of times, the cruelest quandaries this world has to offer...)
Congeniality.
(And through braving adversity together, they are able to wish each other "another" great year. It is truly remarkable.)
Admiration.
(The greeting is at once reciprocal praise for keeping in good health...)
Pledge.
(And a shared promise to continue supporting each other in the new year.)
Desire.
(As a being that dwells in the sky, I, too, wish to enter this cycle.)
Declaration.
(Thus, allow me to impart this greeting unto you, Singularity.)
Happiness.
(Happy New Year, and may it be another great one.)

3

(Captain) is enjoying a New Year's game of sugoroku with some of the crew, including Wamdus and Galleon.
Victor.
(My, Singularity. It looks like you've won.)
Celebration.
(A wonderful effort. Allow me to congratulate you.)
Blessing.
(Smooch!)
Theme.
(Incidentally, this game you call "sugoroku"—it seems to encapsulate the lives of skydwellers such as yourself.)
Metaphor.
(The little time you are allowed dictates that your journeys must one day end. And each time you advance, you face new hardships.)
Admiration.
(You have accepted your struggles and refined them into a form of entertainment. Magnificent.)
Nature.
(It speaks of your unyielding will to move forward, instead of simply lamenting the cruelties of reality.)
Determination.
(I must learn from you, so that I may face the Otherworld with purpose equally as unwavering.)
Resemblance.
(This emotion... You would call it resolve, yes?)
Diligence.
I must continue to strive, so as to not betray the emotions that gave this resolve form.

1

Concern.
(Singularity, has Wilnas offered you an inedible treat?)
Naivete.
(It appears Valentine's Day customs have caught his interest. I hope you'll forgive him.)
Hardship.
(I'm sure he had no ill will. It can be difficult for us to immediately adjust to mortal culture.)
Prevention.
(As I'd like to prevent a similar mishap myself...)
Interest.
(I'm going to ask in advance what you desire of me, Singularity.)
Category.
(Perhaps a plant? A rock? Or even an island?)
Boon.
(Of course, if it's a blessing you seek, I will gladly grant you more than a few.)
Curiosity.
(Well then, Singularity? Tell me your heart's desire.)

2

Appreciation.
(Singularity, a gift for you... in celebration of Valentine's Day.)
Delicacy.
(I heard that mortals like to consume a food called cacao...)
Exchange.
(So I have procured a tree that bears one such fruit.)
Bestowal.
(Please accept it.)
Regret.
(My... You mean to say the fruit itself is not what is eaten?)
Process.
(Ah, so it is treated before consumption... Curious. The mortal act of cooking is applied even to this cacao fruit...)
Contrition.
(How... disheartening. I hope my gift has not inconvenienced you...)
Choose: I'll try making chocolate with it!
Challenge.
(You will attempt to apply cooking to the cacao fruit?)
Bliss.
(If that is how you will derive amusement from my gift, then I am delighted.)
Petition.
(Allow me to watch over you while you cook... If that is all right with you, of course.)

3

Attainment.
(Oh? The cacao tree I gifted you is in season again?)
Preparation.
(And the others wish to use its fruit?)
(Captain) asks Galleon if she would mind the others using her gift to make chocolate.
Approval.
(Of course not. They are more than welcome.)
Affection.
(The cacao tree was a vessel for my sentiments, and now the confections it produces will convey the feelings of others in turn.)
Elation.
(I am overjoyed to be another link in the chain of mortal harmony.)
Distress.
(Speaking of which. I wish to give you another token of my affection, Singularity...)
Deficiency.
(But I am afraid my ability to handcraft chocolate does not yet match a mortal's.)
Outing.
(Thus, I would invite you to accompany me on a trip into town.)
Assurance.
(Worry not about matters of currency. I have some saved up from assisting Wamdus in her work.)
Bestowal.
(I wish to gift you mortal-crafted confections, for it is but another way of expressing my affection.)
Joy.
(I would also be delighted to spend the time with you.)
Gratitude.
(You accept? Thank you, Singularity.)
Happiness.
(Haha... 'Tis you who is the gift's recipient, yet your reply has gifted me such joy.)
Blessing.
(For your kind heart, I bestow upon you this blessing... Smooch!)

Trick or Treat Cutscenes
# Link Text
1

Serendipity.
(How fortunate that I would bump into you on this night, Singularity.)
Bestowal.
(Come, I have not a trick but a treat for you.)
Galleon plants a kiss on (Captain)'s forehead.
Peculiarity.
(Is something the matter, Singularity? You appear confused.)
Discovery.
(Ah, I see. So you had planned to play a trick on me.)
Acceptance.
(Very well. Then I gladly oblige.)
Treatment.
(I am ready, Singularity, for any prank you may have in mind.)
Anticipation.
(Come now; there is no need to hold back.)

2

Consideration.
(Sigh... How troubling...)
(Captain) finds Galleon pensive and decides to ask what's wrong.
Trouble.
(Singularity... The conduct surrounding this time of Halloween has me vexed.)
Dearth.
(I had considered bestowing blessings upon the young mortals as treats...)
Worry.
(But then I realized that they may not necessarily desire them.)
Confection.
(The so-called treats they seek is, in other words, candy, yes?)
Amusement.
(Young mortals find much delight in both mischief and sweets.)
Vigor.
(They live so earnestly, I wish nothing more than to bring them joy.)
Consideration.
(But... how disheartening. I have not the slightest clue as to how one goes about acquiring sweets.)
Disruption.
(Producing gold and engaging in trade myself would likely distort the value of mortal currency...)
Choose: Want to make treats together?
Surprise.
(...!
You would be so kind as to assist me, Singularity?)
Anxiety.
(That would be most appreciated... Though I must warn you, I am not sure I will do well.)
Zeal.
(But, as Wilnas says, one must always try.)
Gratitude.
(Thank you for offering your help, Singularity. If you are extending your hand, I will gladly accept it.)

3

Gratitude.
(I was of little use last year when making confections together.)
Contribution.
(But this year, I shall endeavor to be of assistance.)
Pulverization.
(We begin by crushing all of these pumpkins, correct?)
(Captain) panics upon seeing Galleon start to massacre raw pumpkins left and right.
Choose: Not yet! We should steam them first!
Oversight.
(Oh. Then I have mistaken the order of procedure...)
Regret.
(Does that mean these pumpkins will go to waste?)
Relief.
(We can try steaming the pieces? That is a relief.)
Respect.
(Vegetation is another part of life under the sky. It would pain me to stain my hands in its meaningless death.)
Preparation.
(I shall strive my utmost to make these pumpkins a source of nourishment for you and the others.)
Blessing.
(First, I must wash them... No, I suppose there is one step before that.)
Wish.
(Dearest pumpkins, hear my plea. May you convey my blessing upon others in the form of sweet confections.)

Happy Holidays Cutscenes
# Link Text
1

Gift-giving.
(A being known as Santa Claus is said to offer gifts to children on this day.)
Concern.
(A wonderful tradition it may be, but why does he offer gifts only to mortal children?)
Respect.
(Every life-form struggles to survive in this distorted world.)
Admiration.
(Thus they are all equally deserving.)
Poignance.
(Yet Santa Claus grants compensation only to the most frail.)
Deficiency.
(Perhaps it is a sign of how far away things have veered off from the original state that was meant to be.)
Self-discipline.
(I apologize on behalf of all wedges for lacking the power to fully preserve the world's shape.)
Blessing.
(But at the very least, Singularity, I can offer my blessings to you and those around you.)

2

Fondness.
(The spirit in which holiday gifts are given warms my heart.)
Bestowal.
(I would very much like to gift all of mankind a present of my own.)
Contrition.
(But I am afraid my nescience precludes me from preparing a proper offering.)
Conundrum.
(I still have much to learn about the mortal existence.)
Shame.
(An unsuitable gift may very well cause dismay rather than delight.)
Dearth.
(Though it is not just my ignorance... I simply do not have the power to perform this deed.)
Agony.
(In my current state, I cannot hope to protect the sky and all who live in it from those who would see it harm.)
Aspiration.
(Annihilating the Otherworlders would have made a most excellent gift.)
Remorse.
(Recognizing my own deficiencies has left me feeling quite ashamed...)
Blessing.
(For this holiday season, the best I can do is bestow blessings unto you and all who are near...)

3

Comprehension.
(So decorating a tree is a mainstay of the holiday season's festivities?)
Uncertainty.
(It is strange that a star is placed at the tip, given the symbol's association with the Astrals.)
Appreciation.
(Nevertheless, it adds a nice touch. The composition is pleasing to gaze upon.)
Isolation.
(Yet... This is the only tree on the ship's deck.)
Conveyance.
(I am willing to fetch more, if you wish.)
Exuberance.
(It stands to reason that they would further enliven the mood.)
Limit.
(Ah... Excellent point. I did not consider the ship's weight limitations.)
Disappointment.
(I had thought the trees the perfect holiday gift...)
Assistance.
(Still, allow me to help you hang the decorations. It is the least I can do.)

A Love Too Strong

After playing on a beach in Auguste during their summer vacation with Narmaya and Galleon, the crew members decide to have lunch. Galleon catches a bonito for them, but then has trouble being of any help while they prepare it. Though her crew members tell her not to worry about it, the dragon begins to feel frustrated with her own clumsiness.

This summer, (Captain)'s crew has once again come to Auguste for some rest and relaxation.
Concerned that (Captain) and Vyrn are sleeping in too late for even a vacation day, Narmaya has come to their room to wake them.
Narmaya: (Captain), it's time to get up...
Vyrn's Voice: Mmh...
Narmaya: Still fast asleep, huh? I'd love to leave them to it, but they were so excited about going out to have some fun today...
Narmaya: There will be a lot of people on the beach today, so if we don't hurry, all the good spots to put our things will be gone.
Narmaya: (Captain)? I'm coming in, okay?
Vyrn: Zzz... Zzz...
Narmaya: Hehe, Vyrn and (Captain) look so cute asleep like...
Narmaya: Oh?
Galleon: ...
Narmaya: H-huh? Who is that!
Vyrn: Yawn... What's going on?
Narmaya: Ah, good morning, Vyrn. Wait, more importantly, there's a stranger in your room!
Vyrn: A stranger?
Galleon: ...
Vyrn: Oh, it's just Galleon. I guess she slipped in here again last night.
Narmaya: Huh? Wait, is this person coming in here to sleep next to (Captain) regularly? I'm so jealous...
Vyrn: Yeah, she just kind of shows up out of nowhere. And what are you talking about, you're always doing the same thing.
Narmaya: W-well, yes, but...
Vyrn: Hey, Galleon, it's time to get up.
Galleon: ...
Vyrn shakes her, and she rises from her spot next to (Captain).
Galleon: Dawn.
(Good morning, Red Dragon and Draph Girl.)
Vyrn: So what the heck are you doing in our room this time?
Galleon: Warmth.
(The singularity seemed cold uncovered, so I hoped to provide some warmth.)
Galleon: Worry.
(Mortals and other similar beings must avoid becoming chilled, correct?)
Vyrn: Sure... But if you're sayin' "uncovered" because the blanket slipped off, couldn't you have just put that back on?
Galleon: Improvidence.
(I see, so that is the purpose of blankets. I will remember that.)
Galleon: Gratitude.
(My thanks for sharing this knowledge, Red Dragon.)
Galleon: Blessing.
(And a blessing on the singularity, so that you all might have a fortunate day.)
Narmaya: A blessing?
As Narmaya looks on confused, Galleon kisses (Captain) and Vyrn on the cheek.
Narmaya: Wha— Huh? She just kissed you!
Vyrn: Come on, I keep telling you I don't need that blessing!
Narmaya: Y-you can't do that, Galleon! You can't just suddenly kiss them like that!
Galleon: Question.
(Why not? I am simply bestowing my blessings to celebrate the lives of the Sky Realm.)
Narmaya: Th-that's certainly a way of thinking about it. But you can't just go and beat me to—Excuse me. I meant I also want to—No, wait!
Narmaya: Uhm, well, you see... Anyway, I don't think you should be casually kissing people like that!
Galleon: Amazement.
(I see... So there are multiple points of view on this topic. I will strive to avoid offense.)
Galleon: Gratitude.
(Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Draph Girl. May you lead a happy life.)
Galleon: Blessing.
(Smooch!)
Vyrn: Come on! Your striving couldn't last two seconds?
Hey, Narmaya, you still with us?
Narmaya: ...
Vyrn: She's frozen in shock...
  1. Morning... What'd I miss?

Choose: Morning... What'd I miss?
Having been woken up by the lively conversation, (Captain) yawns and gets out of bed.
Galleon: Vivification.
(Ah, Singularity. Our apologies for disturbing your rest.)
  1. Good morning.

Choose: Good morning.
Galleon: Refreshing.
(Good morning, Singularity. And what a truly good morning it is.)
Narmaya: Ah! Right, good morning, (Captain)!
Narmaya: Do you need your hair brushed? I'll help you!
Galleon: Raiment.
(You will need to change as well. Shall I help you with that?)
Narmaya: Oh, let me get your clothes for you!
Vyrn: Haha, you're really getting waited on hand and foot, (Captain).
After (Captain) finishes getting ready for the day with help from Narmaya and Galleon, the group meets up with Lyria and they all head to the beach.
Galleon: Vigor.
(There are so many mortals here... What a lively place.)
Vyrn: For whatever else you could say about it, Auguste's still got the best resorts around, after all!
Lyria: Let's see, where can we lay out our beach blanket...
Narmaya: Oh, that looks like a good spot. I'll go claim it!
Lyria: I'll go with you!
Galleon: Accompaniment.
(Please let me know if there's anything that I can do to help.)
After putting down their blanket and leaving their things, the crew members start their day of fun on the beach.
Narmaya: We've been playing for a while, so let's get something cold to drink!
Lyria: Okay!
...
I think I might be hungry too...
Galleon: Vital.
(Nutrition is vital to mortals. We must make sure you eat your fill.)
Vyrn: Yeah, plus we didn't have much for breakfast. Should we find a place we can sit down and eat?
Narmaya: It's lunchtime, so they're probably all packed. It might be better to buy something from a food stand.
Lyria: Both of those ideas are tempting! Do you have a preference, Galleon?
Lyria: Oh? Galleon?
Vyrn: Huh? She was here just a second ago... Where's she gone?
Narmaya: Did she get lost in the crowd? We need to find her!
Narmaya: Huh?
Vyrn: A bonito? Why's there a bonito on the...
Galleon: Capture.
(I understand that mortals value this fish for its taste. Please, it's my treat.)
Narmaya: Your treat? Then...
Lyria: Don't tell me that you caught this bonito for us!
Galleon: Felicity.
(Indeed I did. There was fortunately one nearby, so I was able to avoid keeping you waiting.)
Galleon: Raw.
(Though... perhaps it was the case that mortals can only eat fish that has been cooked?)
  1. You can eat bonito raw!

Choose: You can eat bonito raw!
Vyrn: Yeah, that's right! Wait, that's your reaction?
Lyria: Haha, I think that (Captain)'s gotten used to how extravagant the Six Dragons can be...
Galleon: Relish.
(I'm relieved to hear that. In that case, please enjoy it while it's fresh.)
Narmaya: W-well, I guess we should get to cleaning and prepping it then?
Narmaya: I could do it in a flash with my katana, but maybe we should look for a beach house that has some proper tools.
Vyrn: Yeah, that sounds good. It's not like we'll be able to eat that whole thing by ourselves, anyway.
Lifting up the bonito as a group, they begin carrying it toward a nearby beach house.
Galleon: Contrition.
(It seems that I've only made your meal more difficult than it had to be. I am sorry.)
Narmaya: Don't be! I'm really looking forward to this!
Narmaya: Fishing for bonito is so hard that it's rare to get a chance to eat one! Thank you very much, Galleon.
Galleon: Gratitude.
(Thank you. You are quite kind, Draph Girl. Come, accept my blessing...)
Narmaya: U-uhm, I think that I'll pass.
Galleon: Shame.
(Oh? Then perhaps another time.)
Lyria: Right then, let's get this bonito ready to eat!
Vyrn: Sounds like it's your time to shine, (Captain).
Having once been trained as a sushi chef, (Captain) has little difficulty cutting up the bonito.
Narmaya: Wow, you're so good at that, (Captain)!
Galleon: Impressive.
(What incredible speed and precision!)
Vyrn: Man, it's wild watching it go from fish to food right in front of our eyes!
Narmaya: Are you setting this part aside to fillet and sear? I'll get a fire ready!
Lyria: Then I'll mix some spices to make a sauce!
Galleon: Support.
(Is there anything that I can help with?)
(Captain) asks her to slice the removed steak into a handful of thinnish strips.
Galleon: Hardship.
(Thinnish, you say...)
With a troubled look on her face, Galleon readies a knife in one hand and pushes down on the steak to hold it in place with the other.
Galleon: Troublesome.
(Ah...)
The meat, however, is unable to withstand the force of Galleon's attempt to keep it stable and is mashed to a pulp.
Galleon: Failure.
(This is, well... no good anymore, isn't it?)
Galleon: Bitterness.
(I'm ashamed to have ruined something you worked so hard to prepare.)
Vyrn: Right, I guess you dragons are a bit too strong for that kind of work...
(Captain) apologizes to Galleon for giving her a difficult task.
Galleon: Reflection.
(No, you've done nothing wrong. Any mortal would have no trouble with this.)
Galleon: Contrition.
(If only I hadn't tried to help, this never would have happened...)
Galleon: Fixation.
(It is reprehensible of me to have caused part of this bonito to go to waste after taking its life to feed you.)
Narmaya: Don't worry, I can fix this! I'll just fry it with some soy sauce and sesame oil to make some bonito flakes!
Narmaya: Hehe, Azusa taught me this recipe after learning it during her cooking classes, so it's sure to be good!
Narmaya: It's not quite like eating it raw, but they taste really good on rice, you know?
Galleon: Solution.
(This can still be cooked? I'm so very glad to hear that.)
Narmaya: Just leave it to me! I'll have it done in a flash!
Narmaya: Let's take these bits that are still on the bones off with spoons and fry them too!
Vyrn: If we're using spoons then I bet I can do that! Could you give me a hand, Galleon?
Galleon: Cheer.
(I believe that I can. Thank you, Red Dragon.)
Narmaya: Hehe, then I'll leave that to you two. With a powerhouse like Galleon, it'll be a cinch.
As Vyrn and Galleon start cleaning the bones, the other three keep working at their tasks.
Lyria: This all looks so delicious! Well done, (Captain)!
Narmaya: Wow, (Captain), when did you learn to cook like this?
Galleon: Admiration.
(These mortal techniques are truly a wonder. I'm sure Wilnas would have much praise for them.)
Galleon: Praise.
(Needless to say, you have my praises as well. A blessing for your diligence...)
Galleon: Blessing.
(Smooch!)
Narmaya: Hey, that's not fai— No, sorry, I said you can't just kiss people like that!
Galleon: Improvidence.
(Ah, I had forgotten. My apologies, old habits die hard.)
Narmaya: For goodness' sake... Anyway, let's eat. I'll make a plate for you, (Captain).
Galleon: Division.
(Then I will make ones for the Red Dragon and Girl in Blue.)
Lyria: Thank you!
Vyrn: I want to eat some of the fillets!
Galleon: Fare.
(Fillets, you say. Those are these bits that we've lightly grilled, correct?)
Galleon: Delicate.
(Let me just... Ah.)
As Galleon tries to figure out how to use chopsticks to move the fillets onto Vyrn's plate, she accidently spills some condiments.
Narmaya: Chopsticks might not be the best tool here... How about tongs?
Galleon: Naivety.
(I see. Thank you for your kindness, Draph Girl.)
Narmaya: Hehe, don't worry about it. Chopsticks are hard to use without experience. I struggled with them too when I was young.
Lyria: Yum! These bonito flakes really do taste wonderful on rice!
Narmaya: Thank goodness! There's plenty more, so eat as much as you'd like, Lyria!
Lyria: I will, thank you!
Narmaya: Oh, you've gotten rice on your cheek. Come here, I'll wipe it off!
Lyria: Thank you, Narmaya.
Narmaya: Hehe, you're very welcome.
Galleon: (The Draph girl is very good at helping those three...)
Galleon: (I, on the other hand...)
Vyrn: What's up, Galleon? Here, try some of this sashimi. It's delicious!
Galleon: Gratitude.
(Of course. Thank you, Red Dragon.)
Galleon: Pleasure.
(It truly is a joy to eat with you all.)
Vyrn: Haha, you don't have to be so dramatic about it... Well, we're definitely glad you feel that way, though.
Galleon: (I would like for them to enjoy my presence as well, but...)
Galleon: ...
Galleon eats her meal with a downcast look on her face.
As she savors the taste of the bonito, frustration at her failure to skillfully help her mortal crewmates grows within her.

The Earth Mother Troubled

Lyria suggests that the crew members take a dip in the ocean, but upon learning that Galleon can't swim, they decide to play volleyball instead. Galleon attempts to inflate the ball, but blows too hard and accidently pops it. They quickly acquire another ball and enjoy their game, but Galleon becomes frustrated that she keeps causing problems for them.

(Captain)'s crew is spending the summer relaxing in Auguste.
After eating some bonito, the captain asks the group what they should do next.
Vyrn: If you ask me, we should try to work off some of that bonito.
Lyria: All right then, how about we go swimming?
Galleon: Observation.
(In that case, I will watch over you.)
Narmaya: Oh? You're not going to swim with us?
Galleon: Difficulty.
(I will not... Or rather, I cannot.)
Lyria: You can't? I though you must be great at swimming, considering how you caught that bonito...
Galleon: Trudge.
(I caught that by walking along the ocean bed.)
Galleon: Respect.
(To swim requires mastering the sophisticated techniques that mortals have developed.)
Galleon: Difficulty.
(To do so with my inability to control the strength of this manifestation would prove difficult.)
Vyrn: Well, I guess there are plenty of people who can't learn to swim no matter how hard they try.
Narmaya: But wouldn't it be lonely just waiting by yourself? Not to mention that we want to spend time with you too...
  1. Let's do something else!

Choose: Let's do something else!
Galleon: Apology.
(I'm sorry, I didn't want to make you change your plans.)
Lyria: Don't worry about it! It'll be more fun to do something together!
Galleon: Gratitude.
(Thank you. You all are truly kind.)
Narmaya: Well then, what should we do instead? If we want to get some exercise, then...
Narmaya: I know, what about playing beach volleyball? I'm pretty sure that we brought one.
Vyrn: Hey, that's a great idea! I'll be the ref!
Galleon: Ignorance.
(Beach volleyball... How does one play?)
Lyria: Well, we get on different sides of a net and...
Galleon learns the rules of volleyball as they head for the beach.
Narmaya: We'll use this for the ball, Galleon.
Galleon: Flat.
(We will? It seems too flat to be called a ball.)
Lyria: We blow air into it to make it big and round! Here, like this!
Lyria begins work inflating the ball, earnestly blowing several breaths into it, but it quickly becomes apparent that this will be a lengthy task.
Lyria: Whew...
Galleon: Replacement.
(I understand. Allow me, Girl in Blue.)
Lyria: Thank you, Galleon.
Galleon: Breath.
(So I place my mouth here, and...)
Galleon: Shock.
(...!)
Vyrn: Whoa! Well, now we know what it looks like when you blow too much air into a beach ball.
Galleon: Dejection.
(I did not think... I'm so sorry about that.)
Galleon: Disgrace.
(However much trouble I might have controlling my strength, that's no excuse for...)
Narmaya: Don't worry, there are places that will let us borrow a ball! I'll be right back!
Galleon: Role.
(Would it not have been appropriate for me to go?)
Vyrn: Don't worry about it. We should have guessed that could happen.
Galleon: Trouble.
(I suppose, but...)
Galleon: (They're just trying to have fun, and everything I do ends up troubling them... I'm a disgrace.)
Seeing Galleon's expression turn grim, (Captain) insists that she shouldn't feel down about it.
Galleon: Gratitude.
(Thank you, Singularity. Your kindness truly means a lot to me.)
Galleon: (I wish to repay it in kind, but that seems to be no easy feat...)
Narmaya: I got a ball! Let's start playing.
Vyrn: Thank, Narmaya! Right, who should we put on which team?
Despite some setbacks, the skyfarers are enjoying their time on the beach.
Galleon: ...
However, Galleon finds herself unable to put her misgivings aside.

The Earth Mother Troubled: Scene 2

Galleon sneaks out of the inn at night in order to practice swimming, but Narmaya warns her against it and offers to teach her instead once the sun rises. Under the Draph's tutelage, Galleon successfully learns to swim. As they happily return to the inn, they bond over their shared affection for (Captain).

After tiring themselves out on the beach, the crew members decide to spend the night in an inn instead of heading back to their ship.
Lyria: Zzz... Zzz...
Vyrn: Snooze...
Galleon: ...
Narmaya: Ngh...
Narmaya: Huh? Galleon's not here.
Narmaya: Where's she gone?
After being woken up by the sound of someone leaving the room, Narmaya notices Galleon's absence and follows her.
Galleon: ...
Seeing the dragon about to enter the ocean at night, she rushes to stop her.
Narmaya: Galleon!
Galleon: Abruptness.
(Draph Girl? What is the matter?)
Narmaya: What do you mean? It's dangerous to swim at night!
Galleon: Surprise.
(Is it?)
Narmaya: Ah... Well, I guess that it wouldn't be for you, given your powers as one of the Six Dragons...
Narmaya: But someone else might see you and get worried like I was, so you shouldn't do it anyway.
Galleon: Comprehension.
(I see... If that's what you believe, then I'm sure that you are right. I will stop.)
Galleon: Consideration.
(That is troubling, though... I had hoped to finish while the sun was down.)
Narmaya: What exactly were you planning to do? Catch another fish?
Galleon: Swimming.
(I had thought to practice swimming.)
Galleon: Shame.
(After all, my inability to do so made the singularity have to change plans for my sake.)
Narmaya: I see...
Narmaya: (I guess not being able to swim with us must have been really bothering her...)
Narmaya: All right then, I'll give you a hand! As soon as the sun comes up, we'll come back here and get some practice in, okay?
Galleon: Regret.
(Are you sure? I would hate to cause trouble for you...)
Narmaya: I'll be happy to! I'm sure that having someone to teach you will make it go faster...
Narmaya: And most importantly, I bet that (Captain) will be thrilled to go swimming with you!
Galleon: Gratitude.
(Thank you, Draph Girl. I think that I'll take you up on that.)
Narmaya: Leave it to me!
Narmaya and Galleon head back to the inn until the sun rises, after which they slip back out to the ocean without waking their crewmates.
Narmaya: Let's see, where do I start? How to take breaths while swimming, maybe?
Galleon: Trace.
(This vessel does not need to breathe as often as mortals do.)
Narmaya: You don't? That sure is a convenient vessel. In that case, let's...
Galleon starts to practice swimming under Narmaya's tutelage.
Narmaya: I get it! You're sinking like that because your muscles are all tensed up!
Galleon: Understanding.(Tense, you say... I suppose that you might be right about that.)
Galleon: Pressure.
(I used too much power while handling the bonito and volleyball as well.)
Galleon: Hardship.
(To think that it would prove so difficult to restrain myself from using my strength.)
Narmaya: Hmm... I'd tell you to do your best, but I feel like that might backfire... How should I describe it...
Narmaya: It's not like when performing a quickdraw... Oh, what if I just told you to relax! Haha, I don't know about that...
Galleon: ...!
Galleon: Suspension.
(I did it! I was just floating for a moment! What do you think, Draph Girl?)
Narmaya: You were! You really were, Galleon! Now just keep doing that!
Galleon: Continuation.
(Right, like this... Relax... Relax...)
Narmaya: Okay, I'm going to hold your hands, so try kicking with your legs.
Galleon: Resolve.
(Kick...)
As Galleon focuses on the movement, Narmaya gently lets go of her hands.
Galleon: Focus.
(Keep moving my legs... but not too forcefully...)
Narmaya: Wow, you're doing it! You're swimming!
Galleon: Surprise.
(Oh my!)
Upon hearing Narmaya's words, Galleon tenses up again and starts to sink.
Narmaya: Whoa! Are you all right?
Galleon: Safety.
(Yes, I'm quite fine... More importantly, I was swimming just now, wasn't I?)
Narmaya: Yes, you were doing great! I'm amazed at how fast you've managed it, Galleon.!
Galleon: Gratitude.
(It's all because of your tutelage. I can't thank you enough.)
Galleon: Cheer.
(Now those three won't have to inconvenience themselves over me.)
Narmaya: Hehe, I'm happy you feel that way. It's probably about time to head back, though.
The two decide to wrap up their practice and return to the inn before breakfast.
Galleon: Gratitude.
(I truly appreciate your help, Draph Girl.)
Galleon: Appreciation.
(I would like to repay you somehow. Is there anything that I can do for you?)
Narmaya: Oh, you really don't need to repay me or anything...
Narmaya: But... would it be all right if I asked you a question, Galleon?
Galleon: Certainty.
(Of course. Ask me anything.)
Narmaya: Well, I've noticed that you're always trying to help (Captain) and the others out.
Narmaya: So I was just wondering why it is you do that.
Galleon: Reason.
(Well, let's see... I suppose that one reason lies in the singularity's fate.)
Galleon: Anguish.
(The path demanded by that fate is strewn with hardships, and I would have those troubles be rewarded.)
Galleon: Desire.
(I wish to provide whatever solace I can. That is why I act as I do.)
Narmaya: I see... You're just like me, then.
Narmaya: I want to help those three too, especially when things get hard.
Narmaya: I was able to start loving myself because they said they loved me...
Narmaya: I want to pay them back for helping me to do that.
Galleon: Repayment.
(Pay them back, you say... I feel that way as well.)
Galleon: Compensation.
(The sky realm still exists as it does only because of the singularity's efforts, after all.)
Galleon: Furthermore.
(However... that is not the only reason.)
Narmaya: ...?
Galleon: Love.
(I treat those three with such care because I love them from the bottom of my heart.)
Narmaya: Hehe, I know what you mean. They're so cute and pure.
Narmaya: I always feel like they need to be taken care of too!
Galleon: Congruity.
(Hehe, it seems that we're awfully alike.)
Narmaya: Haha, indeed it does! I think we're going to get along!
Galleon: Felicity.
(That makes me quite happy to hear. I look forward to it.)
Narmaya: Likewise!

The Earth Mother Troubled: Scene 3

Galleon and Narmaya meet (Captain), Lyria, and Vyrn at the inn and go out for breakfast with them. After eating, they all decide to take part in a sandcastle-building contest. Galleon creates a mountain of sand for them to use and they end up taking second place. Galleon then suggests once again that they play in the ocean and shows off her new ability to swim. Delighted that she can now join them in the water, the crew members enjoy the rest of their vacation with Galleon by their side.

Lyria: Galleon, Narmaya! Where have you been?
Galleon: Secret.
(Hehe, just taking a walk.)
Vyrn: Oh, that must have been fun! The beach is so nice in the morning.
Lyria: Would you like to go get breakfast? I'm feeling pretty hungry, haha...
Galleon: Remorse.
(I'm very sorry to have kept you waiting. Let's go remedy that.)
Narmaya: Should we go to a beach house, or find a food stall that's open in the morning?
The group decides to buy food from a stall, and then takes a walk on the beach as they eat.
Lyria: This sandwich is delicious!
Narmaya: Hehe, you've got some sauce on your cheek, Lyria! Here, let me wipe it for you.
Galleon: Open.
(Here are some vegetables, Singularity.)
Narmaya and Galleon have already started their usual doting.
Galleon: Mastication.
(Have you swallowed? Then here, drink this.)
Narmaya: Are you full, Vyrn, or would you like a bit more?
Vyrn: Hmm... I think I'm good, thanks!
Vyrn: Whoa! Hey everyone, look at this flier!
Lyria: Let's see... Oh, it's the sandcastle building contest! That was lots of fun last time we did it!
Vyrn: Right? We should do it again!
Vyrn: That way we can stick with Galleon even though she can't swim.
Lyria: Good point!
Galleon: ...?
Lyria and Vyrn nod at each other and the group decides to take part in the contest.
Narmaya: I've never made a sandcastle before. Let's all work together and make a really big one!
Lyria: All right!
Having finished their meal, they head toward the contest venue.
Vyrn: They told us to build ours right here!
Lyria: The team that makes the most amazing castle by noon will win first place!
Galleon: Majesty.
(The most amazing, you say. What kind of castle do you think they would find amazing?)
Narmaya: Hmm... One that's really intricate, probably? I guess being big would help as well.
Vyrn: Yeah, a small castle's not gonna have much oomph, no matter how fancy it is.
Lyria: I guess that means we should start by gathering a lot of sand!
Galleon: Accumulation.
(Gather sand? Very well.)
Galleon: Capability.
(Allow me. Hah!)
Galleon waves her hand, and a mountain of sand rises before the group's eyes.
Lyria: Wha?
Narmaya: She summoned a mountain of sand in an instant!
Galleon: Insufficiency.
(Is this not enough? I can create as much as we need.)
Vyrn: No, this'll definitely be enough!
Lyria: Right, you're the wedge in charge of earth! I guess that means you can do this kind of thing easily!
Narmaya: Whoa, that surprised me! Well, now that we have all this sand, all that's left is to shape it.
Galleon: Order.
(What should I do next?)
Vyrn: Let's see, first we've gotta get this whole thing a bit wet so that it hardens up.
The group enthusiastically begins forming the mountain into a castle.
Lyria: We're done!
Vyrn: One sandcastle, slide included, ready for action!
Narmaya: We did such a good job!
Galleon: Quality.
(Not only is it impressive to look at, it can be played on as well. This is truly good work.)
Vyrn: You know, I think we might even win this!
The crew members wait for the results with great expectations in their hearts, but find that they came in second place.
Vyrn: I guess there was no way we could beat that one... I had no idea you could make a sandcastle that intricate.
Lyria: It was really amazing! There were gates and balconies, and all the walls actually looked like they were made of bricks!
Galleon: Shock.
(The ingenuity of mortals never ceases to amaze me.)
Narmaya: Still though, our castle with a slide came in second!
Lyria: Yes, you're right! We did a good job!
Vyrn: Yeah, just showing up out of nowhere and getting second is plenty impressive!
Lyria: And so many people used the slide, so it was definitely worth it!
Galleon: Blessing.
(Indeed, we should be proud of what we accomplished. A blessing on all of you...)
Galleon kisses everybody's cheeks one by one.
Lyria: Oh Galleon!
Narmaya: Haha, I think that I've gotten used to it now.
Galleon: Heat.
(It seems that you all are a bit hot. We should have you cool down.)
Galleon: Swimming.
(Since we're at the beach and all, why not cool yourselves down in the ocean?)
Vyrn: Yeah, I bet that would feel great!
Lyria: But I thought you couldn't...
Narmaya: Hehe, you don't have to worry about that. Right, Galleon?
Galleon: Presentation.
(Hehe...)
As the trio hesitates, Galleon walks into the ocean.
Galleon: ...
Once her feet stop reaching the ocean floor, she starts demonstrating the swimming technique she learned, the doggy paddle, to the crew.
Vyrn: Whoa! You learned how to swim, Galleon?
Lyria: Wow, when did you do that?
Galleon: Gratitude.
(It's all thanks to the Draph Girl. Now you won't have to avoid the ocean for my sake anymore.)
Galleon: Play.
(Now come, let's enjoy our summer vacation to the fullest.)
Narmaya: Yeah, I agree! Let's go, everyone!
Galleon: Delight.
(Hehe...)
The other crew members follow the dragon into the water as she looks on them with a smile.
For the rest of the day, they all enjoy the ocean to their heart's content, with the compassionate dragon accompanying her beloved mortals the whole time.
