She is a descendant of a tribe of monkeys who trace their lineage back to their august ancestor who went on a journey with the high priest "Tripitaka" to a place called "India". She secretly dreams of travelling to "India" herself one day. All members of her tribe have equally strange ears and tails. Only the one chosen for duty is able to use divine powers and special skills called wizard techniques. Out of her tribe Andira has owned outstanding skill since her early childhood and was inaugurated into duty by the figure "Mokkun". After her assumption of duties, she received her tools - a head band and a magical staff. Andira Gets Dozy
(Captain) has plans to go shopping with Andira, but Andira oversleeps and makes (Captain) mad. That night Andira explains that she has been staying up late working on a scarf for (Captain), prompting (Captain) to apologize, and the two soon make up.
During their adventures, (Captain) and company met Andira, Queen of Monkeys and Guardian of the West-Southwest.
A while has passed since she joined their crew.
During their adventures, (Captain) and company met Andira, Queen of Monkeys and Guardian of the West-Southwest.
People come to the monkey temple to pray for health, peace, and prosperity every year.
However, the temple was actually built after the War to watch over the border between the Sky Realm and the Astral Realm.
The twelve cardinal points are governed by the Twelve Divine Generals, who take turns acting as the year spirit.
This year is the year of the Monkey Temple in the West-Southwest, so Andira has been chosen as the year spirit.
Andira: I know this is a huge favor to ask, but it's something I've wanted to do my entire life.
Andira: Would it be okay if I joined you on your journey, (Captain)?
And so a strange confluence of circumstances led Andira to join the crew as they continue their journey across the sky.
A while has passed since then.
Continue 1One day near the end of the year, (Captain) and the others have plans with Andira to do some New Year's shopping.
But when it comes time to meet, Andira is nowhere in sight. The rest of the crew begins to worry and goes to her room to check on her.
Vyrn: What's goin' on? (Captain) told her we're goin' on that shopping trip today, right?
Lyria: Yeah... But Andira's been staying up late, so she's probably still asleep.
Vyrn: Ugh... Again? Hey! We're comin' in!
The crew opens the door to find Andira sleeping soundly in her bed.
Andira: Hehe... More grapes? You're too kind...
Lyria: Huh? Andira's in full-on sleep mode!
Andira: But Lyria, I couldn't possibly eat another bite... Tee hee hee...
Lyria: Hehe! Andira's so adorable when she's asleep!
Vyrn: I can't believe this! Andira, wake up already! Help me out here, Lyria!
Andira: Hehe... The sky's filled with cotton candy! It's like a fluffy sugar paradise!
With no sign of Andira waking up, (Captain) starts to lose patience and decides to take more drastic measures.
Choose: Tickle her.
Andira: Mm... Mmm... Ah... Haha... C-cut it out!
Andira: Huh? I said cut it out, you naughty cloud!
Choose: Pinch her.
Andira: Ah... Ow! Ow?
Andira: Was that a bug? A bee? It stung me! Something just stung me!
Continue 2(Captain)'s monkey trick wakes Andira up in a panic.
Andira: Huh? (Captain)! And Vyrn... and Lyria.
Andira: I'm sorry. I'll get ready right away!
Andira lies in bed for a moment longer, but then she notices (Captain)'s face reddening with annoyance.
Andira: You don't need to get so mad, Captain! You're such a grump!
Andira: Fine! I'm gonna get ready! Now get out of my room!
Despite the brief kerfuffle, Andira hurries and gets ready to leave. The crew then heads into town to go shopping.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the town, the crew manages to buy everything they need for their New Year's festivities.
Andira: Mmm.
Andira: Humph.
Lyria: Umm... Andira, are you still mad?
Andira: Hmm? Why would I be mad, Lyria? I'm not mad.
Lyria: Okay...
(She's still pretty mad. I better be as nice as I can.)

Andira: Anyway. Why don't you go ahead and put your bags on my cloud? I think it can carry a little more.
Although friendly to Lyria, Andira keeps her distance from (Captain), staying a few steps away at all times.
Vyrn: Hmm... They were always so chummy before, but all it took was one little tiff to make things tense...
Lyria: Yeah. I sure hope they make up soon.
Just then Andira spots an adorable little outfit in a nearby storefront. She rushes up to it in excitement.
Andira: Aww! This is so cute!
Andira: Gee, I sure wish I could try it on...
(Captain) glances over at Andira and sees the starry look in her eyes. But Andira soon notices the scrutiny and turns away.
Andira: Oh... But I don't really... Never mind.
Andira: If you get up close, it's not really that cute, I guess...
Andira: It's not like I really want it or anything...
But everyone can tell Andira's only feigning disinterest. Silence soon sets in, causing Andira to walk off alone and frustrated.
Lyria: Wait, Andira! You're getting too far ahead!
Vyrn: H-hey! (Captain), she's walking off by herself!
(Captain) nods in acknowledgement, but then goes back to looking at the outfit that had captured Andira's attention.
The tension between Andira and (Captain) lingers even after they return to the ship.
That night (Captain) drops by Andira's room for a visit.
Andira: Sip-sip... Num-num...
Andira: You want some too, (Captain)?
(Captain) can't help but chuckle in response.
Andira: Hmm? What are you doing over there?
(Captain) presents the sleepy-eyed Andira with the outfit she had spotted in town.
Andira: Huh? What's... this?
Andira: What? It's... it's that outfit from before! You bought it for me?
Andira: I'll go try it on right now! Just wait there!
Andira gets up and excitedly throws on the outfit.
Andira: Wow! It really is cute!
Andira: Hehehe. Thank you, (Captain)! You really are the best!
Andira: So... What do you think? How do I look?
Choose: You look adorable!
Andira: Wow, really? Yay! Yay, yay!
Andira: Hehehe... (Captain) said I look adorable!
Choose: You look lovely.
Andira: I look lovely?
Andira: Umm... Well, I... I've never heard anyone say that about me.
Andira: That makes me so happy. I'll try extra, extra hard to look cute for you, (Captain).
Continue 3Seeing the delighted look on Andira's face, (Captain) gives her a nod and a smile.
Andira: Oh! Which reminds me...
With a bashful look on her face, Andira brings out a slightly misshapen scarf.
Andira: I... knitted this for you.
(Captain) is surprised at the sudden and thoughtful gift.
Andira: But... it didn't turn out very good. And that's why I've been staying up so late. I'm sorry!
After finally learning what had been going on, (Captain) apologizes for getting mad.
(Captain) thanks Andira again for the nice gift she made.
Andira: Yay! Now I'm really happy!
Andira: Hehehe! So I guess we're all made up, then!
Andira slides off her cloud, swinging by her tail and beaming at (Captain).
With the quarrel between them settled, Andira and (Captain) share a stronger bond than ever before.
Andira Lang Syne
Andira bashfully suggests the crew does something together to strengthen their friendship. Given free reign over the crew's party plans, Andira leads everyone to a special spot only she knows about.
One day Andira bashfully walks up to (Captain) and the others.
Andira: Umm... Hey, everyone. Do you have a minute?
Vyrn: Hmm? What's up, Andira?
Lyria: (Uh-oh... Vyrn, she only talks like that when she's got a crazy idea.)
Andira: Well... I was thinking that in order to strengthen our bonds as crewmates...
Andira: It sure would be nice if we could all go out and do something together.
(Captain) considers Andira's words and suggests they have a big party to celebrate the end of the year together.
Andira: Huh? An end-of-the-year party?
Vyrn: Hey, yeah! Like to celebrate all the stuff we've done this year! That sounds great!
Andira: Wow! That sounds like fun!
Lyria: Okay then! Let's all have a big party!
Andira: Hmm... But what are we going to do for it?
Vyrn: I don't think anything is set in stone. Let's just do something fun!
Andira: What do you all want to do?
Lyria: Hehe. As long as there's good food, anything's fine by me!
Vyrn: Yeah! If we're gonna have fun, then I'm up for anything!
Andira: I see. What do you think, (Captain)?
(Captain) tells Andira she should decide.
Andira: What? You want me to decide?
Andira: All right, then! I've got a great idea!
Andira: Okay, everyone! Follow me!
And with that, Andira leads the crew off someplace new.
Andira Lang Syne: Scene 2
The crew checks into their inn, then heads to a famous hot spring. Unfortunately a group of ill-mannered ruffians has taken over, forcing the crew to take action.
Andira leads (Captain) and company to a town brimming with hot springs.
She explains that she has always wanted to visit this town, which is famous for one particular, secluded spring.
Andira: Wow... I've been waiting to come here for ages!
Lyria: It's beautiful! And the atmosphere is delightful!
Vyrn: Yeah! This is a nice-lookin' town!
Andira: (Captain), this is where we're going to have our big end-of-the-year party!
Andira: Hehehe. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?
Looking at Andira, (Captain) can't help but mirror her excitement.
Andira: Okay then! Let's go check in!
Once they've secured their lodgings, the crew head toward the inn's famous open-air bath.
Andira: Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!
But when they arrive at the bath, they find that a very rude group of people have completely taken it over.
Rude Guest: The hell is wrong with you? Who said you could get in?
Andira: I should be asking you the same question. All we want to do is get in the water.
Rude Guest: Did I stutter? We've got this whole thing rented out!
Andira: You're being entirely selfish. This bath is supposed to be for everyone.
Rude Guest: What'd you say to me? I've had about enough of your lip, you little brat!
Andira: (It's no good. These people have no intention of listening.)
Rude Guest: That's it! Looks like I'm gonna have to toss you out myself!
Andira: Listen, everyone! If we let this continue, it'll affect the other guests too!
Andira: Let's send them on their way!
Lyria: Right! We can't let this go on!
Vyrn: Yeah! Let's sock it to these fools!
Andira: Are we ready? Then let's do this, (Captain)!
Andira Lang Syne: Scene 3
After teaching the ruffians a lesson and enjoying the hot springs, Andira and (Captain) look out at the night sky together. Andira tells (Captain) that she's feeling down, so the two promise never to forget the fun they've had together today.
After dispensing with the belligerent group, (Captain) and company are finally able to get into the open-air bath.
Gran is the Main Character
(Captain) and Vyrn sit together, relaxing in the warm water.
Vyrn: Ahh... This is a great bath. Hey, (Captain), are you listening to me?
But (Captain) is listening to the sound of Lyria and Andira's excited voices from the next bath over.
Andira's Voice: Lyria! Don't do it!
Lyria's Voice: I can't help myself! Okay, Andira, stay right there!
Andira's Voice: Ah... Ah! Cut it out, Lyria!
Lyria's Voice: Haha! You're not getting away from me! Get back here!
(Captain) tries to ignore the noise and just enjoy his bath.
Vyrn: Geez... Those two sure are making a ruckus!
Vyrn: Hehe, bet you're glad we chose to stay over on this side, aren'tcha?
(Captain) looks over at Vyrn and nods in agreement.
Djeeta is the Main Character
Andira, Lyria, and (Captain) stand in the changing room, eagerly awaiting their turn to soak.
Andira: Hehehe. Yay! I'm finally going to get into that bath!
Lyria: It's so exciting... I wonder what it'll be like!
Andira: Hmm? (Captain), aren't you going to take off your clothes?
But (Captain) stands there with a worried look on her face.
Vyrn: Hey! I'm coming over!
Lyria: Oh my gosh! V-Vyrn?
Vyrn: Hmm... I knew it! This bath is way better than ours!
Andira: Hehehe. What's wrong, Vyrn? Were you getting lonely over there by yourself?
Vyrn: Hehe, I'm gettin' in first!
Andira: Hey! That's cheating, Vyrn!
Andira: See what happened? Now hurry up and get changed, you two!
Lyria: Ah, wait! Andira!
Andira rushes (Captain) and Lyria through their preparations and into the water.
Continue 1And so the crew is finally able to start enjoying the open-air bath.
After soaking for a while, the crew gets out of the water to grab some nice cool beverages. They sit in the lounge talking and sipping their drinks.
Andira: Whew, I'm beat. Let's sit here and relax for a while.
Andira and (Captain) sit side by side, enjoying the gentle night breeze and the beautiful night sky.
Andira: Sigh. The day is over already...
Andira: But thanks to you, (Captain), we had a really great end-of-the-year party.
(Captain) sits in quiet appreciation of Andira's heartfelt words.
Andira: The party was fun and all... But I guess I'm feeling a little lonely...
Unsure what she means, (Captain) asks her to elaborate.
Andira: Well... The point of having this party is to remember everything we did this year and then put it behind us. That includes tonight, doesn't it?
(Captain) pauses for a moment then tells her they'll never forget tonight.
Andira: Hehe. Aw, thank you, (Captain).
Andira: Okay then, let's promise. Let's promise never to forget the fun we had today.
Andira: Now... hold out your finger.
Andira holds her pinky out toward (Captain).
Andira: This marks a secret promise between you and me.
(Captain) extends the same finger, wrapping it around Andira's, and the two solemnly promise to keep the memories of today bright in their minds forever.
