Background

This section contains spoilers. Continue reading at your own discretion.

Grea is the daughter of a a human woman, Maudie, and a dragon, Rendravve, who formed together a forbidden relationship. Her parents lived in happiness until Grea was conceived, which took a toll on Maudie's body due to Grea's innate dragon powers. Grea's father returns to the land of dragons, Regnith, to ensure a better future for his loved ones and accepts punishment for violating the dragons' taboo in exchange. Following her mother's death, she was raised by her mother's sister, Heleford, who hide the truth about her parents until Grea was mature enough to face Heleford about it. To free Rendravve from eternal imprisonment, Grea ventures into the land of dragons with the help of Captain's crew and meets with her father who recognizes her almost instantly despite never seeing her with his own eyes before, as her aura is just like how her mother wished it to be - that of a star that dispels the darkness. Rendravve is freed and Grea gains better control and acceptance of the dragon powers inside her. The father and daughter promise to meet again.

Happy Birthday Cutscenes

1

Happy birthday.
Anne and I were thinking about playing a song for you.
Too bad there's no piano on the airship.
Why don't you come to the academy's music room next time?
You'll have VIP seats for the best concert in Mysteria.
That's a promise, (Captain).

2

(Captain), happy birthday!
Hey, once you and everyone are done with your party, can you hang out for a bit?
Remember? Last year I made you a promise.
I said that I'd give you a special birthday performance, (Captain).
You know, I asked Mr. Bertrand, he said it was okay if I used the music hall.
So how about it?
Thanks! I'll meet you in the music room then.
(Captain), I'm going to put my heart and soul into this performance.
I hope you enjoy it.

3

(Captain), happy birthday.
I composed a new song for today. Would you mind listening to it later?
Mm-hm, it's a birthday present from me.
Thank you. Please come to the music room after the party.
Haha, it'll be a private showing just for you.
After all, I did make the song for you, (Captain)...

4

Happy birthday, (Captain).
I composed another song for you this year. Will you listen to it later?
Thank you. Both Anne and I play at the same time for the new song, so look forward to it.
Also, I have one other thing prepared for your birthday.
Um... You always look out for me and everything, so...
I hope you'll accept this from me.

5

Happy birthday, (Captain).
I wrote a new song for you again this year. Would you like to hear it later?
Thank you. Hehe...
Sorry, don't mind me. I was just thinking... I've really grown, huh?
I mean, a few years ago I never would've imagined celebrating someone's birthday like this.
And now look at me. I have both you and Anne to thank for that.
I hope you understand.
Anyway, I'll be waiting for you when you're ready, (Captain).

Happy New Year Cutscenes

1

I've never seen the first sunrise of the year to be honest.
I didn't want to go outside knowing how many other people would be out and about.
But I'm not afraid anymore after meeting you and the crew.
So... Um...
Could we all go watch the sunrise together?

2

(Captain)? Why are you up? It's so early in the morning...
Me? I got up early to see the first sunrise of the year.
Anne and I were supposed to see it together.
But she wouldn't get out of bed for anything...
That's why I came here by myself.
So, (Captain), wanna go see the New Year's sunrise? It'll be just like last year.
And I'd be... I'd be a little lonely without anyone else...

3

(Captain), happy New Year.
Would you like to have breakfast with me later?
I tried making osechi for the first time. I was hoping to hear what you think of it...
Anne? No, it doesn't matter what you put in her mouth—she finds everything delicious.
You'll join me? Great, let me go wake up Anne.
As soon as she wakes up, the three of us can have breakfast together.

4

Yawn... Oh, (Captain), happy New Year.
Hm? Am I feeling sick?
No, I'm not sick. I'm swaying back and forth like this because I'm... really sleepy...
I stayed up all night with Anne and the others to see the first sunrise of the year... That's why... Yawn...
I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yawn in the middle of talking... Yawn...
Ugh... Don't laugh...
A-anyway... I'm going to head back to my room now.
I wouldn't want to do anything else to embarrass myself in front of you...
Well, good night, (Captain).

5

Are you getting ready to have breakfast too, (Captain)?
Then why don't you come join us? That is, if you're okay with the osechi I made...
Do you remember the osechi I made two years ago? You seemed to like it.
Ever since then I've been trying to improve my recipes.
I was happy to hear Anne say my cooking was delicious too.
Anyway, thanks for saying you'll join us. Could you wait real quick while I go wake Anne?
Oh, and happy New Year, (Captain).

Valentine's Day Cutscenes

1

Anne and I made some chocolates to put a smile on your face.
The taste might not be to your liking, but are you still happy with them?
Thanks. That makes me happy too.
You'll always have my gratitude, (Captain).

2

Uh... (Captain), do you have a minute?
I made you chocolates again this year.
Here, do you want them?
Thanks, (Captain).
You know, this Valentine's Day I made them all by myself—no help from Anne.
I think I did a pretty good job...
Once you eat them, uh... let me know what you think.
Then I'll be able to make next year's even tastier.
Huh? Of course I'm giving you chocolates next year, (Captain).
Thanks for always being there for me.

3

I made chocolate for you this year too, (Captain).
It might not be as good as the ones Anne or the class president makes, but I tried my best.
I hope you like it.
Hm? This other bag? It's for Anne.
Anne seemed a bit jealous that I was making chocolate only for you, so I made sure to whip up a batch for her too.
Of course, every single piece is handmade.
Both you and Anne are so important to me...

4

Hm? (Captain)?
I didn't think I'd bump into you here.
What, me? I need to buy ingredients for my Valentine's chocolates.
Oh, right. Since you're already here, mind if I ask you something?
Um, what kind of chocolates do you like?

  • Choose: Dark chocolate.
Oh. That's very adult of you.
Dark chocolate, hm? I should ask the student council president for some recipes when I get back...
  • Choose: Anything with fruit in it.
    Hehe. Just like Anne.
Won't be easy to make, but if it's what both Anne and (Captain) want, I should give it a shot...

Thanks, (Captain).
You'll be getting chocolates this year too.
I hope you're looking forward to them.

5

There you are, (Captain)... Oh, that's a lot of chocolate.
Is it all from everyone at Mysteria?
That makes sense. You're a bit of a celebrity at school, after all.
By the way... I also made you my own chocolates.
Your friendship means the world to me, and I owe you more than I can express in words...
So while you already have an abundance of sweets, I hope you don't mind adding another to the pile.
Thank you. One last thing—Anne should be looking for you too.
I'd appreciate it if you could also accept her chocolates.
We put in our best efforts to make them, just for you.

1

Oh, I wasn't expecting this.
How surprising. I can't help but smile.
This is the first time I've ever received sweets for White Day.
I look forward to many more days with you, (Captain).

2

(Captain), what's this?
Huh, a present for me? How come?
Oh, that's right. It's White Day, isn't it?
Thanks, (Captain).
Hee-hee... Oh, sorry.
I just... I'm happy that you remembered I gave you something for Valentine's Day, (Captain).
Hm? What are you talking about? Of course I'll like it.
No, no, don't worry!
I mean, you picked this out for me, (Captain).
That means I already love it.
Thank you so much, (Captain).

3

(Captain), thanks for the goodies as always. Can I go ahead and open this up?
Cookies and a teddy bear?
...
Oh, no, no... It's not that I'm taken aback.
I guess I just... really like teddy bears.
Thank you so much, (Captain). I'll take good care of it.

4

Anne... Where'd you go?
Oh, (Captain)! Have you seen Anne?
Choose: I haven't.
Oh, okay...
Hm? You want to know what happened?
Well... um, I got chocolates from Anne for Valentine's.
And to thank her, I gave her some marshmallows earlier.
But as soon as I handed them over, Anne shouted "You hate me?" and ran away...
There's no way I'd ever hate her... I don't know how the thought even crossed her mind...
What? If you give marshmallows as a thank you gift, it means "I hate you"?
W-wait, really? I'd never even heard of that...
I need tell her this is all just a big mistake! Thanks for letting me know, (Captain)!

5

You never miss a year, do you? Thanks, (Captain).
Is it all right if I open it now?
Macarons... They're usually given to people you consider dear friends and treasured partners.
Oh, do you remember how I gave Anne marshmallows last year?
After that didn't go well, I made sure to study the meaning of the sweets one gives, including macarons.
It's not too forward of me to assume you consider me a good friend, is it?
I'm happy to hear it. You're important to me too.
What did I give Anne this year?
Caramel candies. They're given to people you always feel safe with...
I should be spared from last year's treatment... Probably.

Trick or Treat Cutscenes
# Link Text
1

Oh, (Captain). Have some treats.
It seems like we're going to be handing out candy to kids tonight. I practiced making scary faces with Anne.
We want to make this a day of fun, right?

2

Hm... What should I do?
Oh, (Captain), good timing!
Anne said that I should wear a Halloween costume with her.
But I've never dressed up before.
If I wear anything too scary, I'll probably make little kids cry.
And it's not like I'd look good in a girly costume.
(Captain), what sort of costume do you think would be a good fit?

  • Choose: Something girly.
N-no, girly stuff doesn't look good on me!
That's... more of an Anne thing. I mean, I don't exactly have a bubbly personality...
  • Choose: Something scary.
But I've never worn a costume before.
And I don't exactly have a bubbly personality to begin with...

Huh? You want me to try wearing one anyway?
Oh, okay. If you insist, (Captain). I'll see what it's like.
So... let me hear what you think later on.

3

Ah, (Captain). Trick or treat, you say?
You say it just like Anne...
Okay, this candy's for you.
I've gotten used to Anne asking me for treats every year.
That's why I've taken up the habit of always carrying candy around on this day.
Haha. Too bad you didn't get to play a trick on me, (Captain).

4

(Captain), t-trick or treat.
Well, you know... You said trick or treat to me last year, didn't you?
I just thought I'd say it back to you this year...
What will you pick, (Captain)? A treat? Or a trick?
Personally, I'm hoping you have a treat for me.
I'm not really sure what to do for a trick, and I don't have one ready...
So which will it be, (Captain)?

5

Is that you, (Captain)? It's not often I see you around here.
Me? I'm just assisting the student council with some things.
Today is Halloween, so we're giving out candy to the local children.
"Trick or treat?"
You're not a kid, you know...
Anyway, I told you last year, remember? Anne always does the same thing, so I always make sure to carry some extra on me.
...Huh?
Oh no... I must've given it all to the children earlier.
Um... (Captain)?
Choose: No treat? A trick it is, then!
You're just playing, right? You wouldn't...
U-um... P-please, not the tail! A-anything but my tail...
...!

Happy Holidays Cutscenes

1

Hey, (Captain)... There's something I want to ask you.
I've only ever gotten to celebrate the winter holiday with Anne.
So I was wondering if this time I could exchange presents with everyone.
Would that be okay?
Hee-hee, thanks. I'd better start shopping for gifts everyone would like.
Will you go with me, (Captain)?

2

Hey, (Captain). Do you have a sec?
All the kids at Mysteria were talking about throwing a holiday party...
Yeah, so... you should come too if you can, (Captain).
Huh? No, nobody will mind at all!
Anne, Owen, and the class president all want to see you, (Captain).
And I'd be really happy if you came too.
So what do you say?
Really? That's great to hear.
Thanks. Everyone else and I will be looking forward it.

3

Oh, (Captain). Good timing.
Can I ask you to accompany me for a bit?
I'm thinking of getting presents for Anne and Owen.
But I'm not sure what they'd like best...
I was hoping you could help me pick them out.
You'll come along? Great, let's have a good look around.
Teehee, it'll be so much fun shopping with you, (Captain)...

4

What's something I can cook that would make everyone happy...
Oh, (Captain). Perfect timing.
About the holy night... I'm going to be making the dishes for the party this year.
I've been thinking about what to make, but I can't seem to come up with any good ideas...
Anne already said she'll bake the cake, so... Do you have any suggestions, (Captain)?

  • Choose: Roast beef
Roast beef, huh? Yeah, that could be a nice and sophisticated dish.
  • Choose: Roast chicken
That's true. Roast chicken is perfect for gatherings...
But it's actually pretty challenging to make.

Thanks for the idea, (Captain). That really helped.
I'll do my best to prepare something delicious for everyone.
I hope you'll have some at the party too.

5

Oh, good evening, (Captain). What are you doing at this hour?
Me? I suddenly felt like playing the piano, so I'm on my way to the music room.
Actually, if you're not busy, would you like to come hear me play?
It kind of gets lonely playing by myself.
Besides, I like performing for people who enjoy my music.
You will? Thank you. Then let's go to the music room.
So what song would you like to hear, (Captain)?
Tis the season for giving after all.
But instead of a book or toy, I'll play for you whatever your ears desire.

Still Near and Dear

(Captain) and company visit the Mysteria Academy, where they're asked to chaperone a school excursion. They encounter Anne, who invites them to help her, Grea, and Owen shop for swimsuits.

The crew receives a request to protect and chaperone students on a school beach excursion.
Their first stop on this mission is the Mysteria Academy of Magic.
Vyrn: Either way, we haven't been here in forever.
Lyria: No, we haven't! Do you think Grea and her friends are all right?
Vyrn: There's nothing to worry about with Pianista and them.
Vyrn: Oh, hey! Them over there—it's Pianista and co., isn't it?
Vyrn points in the direction of Anne and Grea. Anne is smiling, while Grea seems a little taken aback.
Lyria: Grea! Anne!
Grea: Huh? Lyria! And (Captain) and all you guys too.
Anne: What? What are you all doing in Mysteria?
Lyria: We got a request to protect and chaperone the students on their beach excursion.
Vyrn: Yep! And today we came to get the nitty-gritty details.
Anne: Oh, okay! Eh-heh, looks like we're together again!
Grea: Thanks for coming, (Captain), Lyria, Vyrn.
Lyria: Of course!
Anne: So we're going to the ocean with (Captain) then! Eh-heh, I bet this is going to be a blast!
Grea: Come on, Anne. (Captain) and the crew are here on a mission, so stay out of their way.
Anne: I know, I know! But we should hang out when they're taking breaks and stuff.
Lyria: Please do!
Anne: Oh, that's right! (Captain), since you guys are coming on our beach excursion...
Anne: What sort of swimsuit do you think would look good on Grea?
Grea: Anne!
Anne: It's fine. Let's get their opinions too.
Anne: Well? So what do you think?
Lyria: Huh? I'm not sure what you mean.
Anne: See, I was telling Grea we should go shopping for a new swimsuit.
Anne: And we were wondering what swimsuit would look good on her...
Grea: Uh... Anne said that I'd look good in a bikini...
Anne: Yeah, you have a great figure, Grea!
Anne: Don't you think so, (Captain)?
  1. I do.
  2. I'd have to see first.

Choose: I do.
Anne: See, (Captain) says you'd look great.
Grea: Mmm... But I'd be so embarrassed in a bikini. I mean, everyone could see my belly...
Grea: And I'm not sure it would look good anyway.
Anne: Well, just try one on. Once you hear what everyone has to say, you'll know how it looks.

Choose: I'd have to see first.
Anne: You have a point. There's no way of telling until she's actually in a bikini.
Anne: That's it then! C'mon, Grea, try one on!
Anne: Then we'll hear what everyone has to say!
Continue 1
Anne grabs Grea's hand and begins walking toward town.
Grea: A-Anne! Where are you taking me?
Anne: Shopping for a bikini! Where else?
Vyrn: Huh? Shopping for a bikini? Don't tell me you're going all the way to Auguste!
Anne: Ahaha, we're not about to go that far!
Anne: Around the time of our excursion, the stores in town always start selling swimsuits.
Anne: We're going to go check them out.
Vyrn: Oh, so that's what you meant. My head almost spun! Thought you wanted to go all the way to Auguste or somethin'.
Anne: Yeah, so you guys should come along too, (Captain)!
Anne: It'll be good to see what other people think.
Anne: Oh, and Owen too.
Anne: I know he won't tell any white lies. I don't even think he knows how to lie in the first place.
Grea: Huh? You're making Owen tag along too?
Anne: Yeah! The more opinions the better!
Anne: So come on, Grea. Let's go!
Grea: Anne! Anne! Hold on! I said to quit pulling!
Vyrn: Pianista and her friend, they're just as close as ever!
Lyria: Hehe, they really are!
Anne's Voice: Hurry up, (Captain), or you'll get left behind!
Vyrn: We'll be right on your tail!
(Captain) and the others nod in affirmation and then rush to keep up with Anne.
Anne: The right swimsuit for Grea... The right swimsuit for Grea...
When the crew enters the store, Anne is inspecting swimsuits for Grea.
Lyria: Ahaha, Anne looks so serious!
Owen: Thank you for tolerating the whims of the princess, (Captain).
Owen: It's a deep and sincere pleasure for me to meet you again.
Owen then deeply bows his head to (Captain).
Vyrn: Ahaha, keepin' it cool as always, I see...
Owen: That's my one saving grace.
Anne: Ah! Hey, Grea! How about this one?
Grea: Uh... That would be so embarrassing. There's, like, no fabric there...
Anne: Then what about this?
Grea: I wouldn't look good in something so girly.
Anne: Oh...
Anne: Hey, Owen! What do you think of this swimsuit?
Owen: Well, it might impair the ability to move in the case of emergency.
Owen: Taking the excursion into consideration, something a bit easier to move in would be preferable.
Anne: No, I'm asking if you think it would look good on Grea!
Owen: Ah, my apologies. In that case...
Owen then looks back and forth at Grea and the swimsuit that Anne is holding.
Owen: If I were to speak honestly, I think that something with a bit more flair could be a superior match for Grea.
Anne: Hm... Hm... I see.
Anne: Then how about this one?
Owen: Yes, I think that would suit her very well.
Anne: How about it, Grea?
Grea: There's not very much fabric there, but... I think that one would be okay.
Anne: All right, so go try it on!
Anne: Then we can ask what everyone thinks!
Grea: Mmm... uh... um...
Anne: Huh? What's wrong, Grea? Your face is bright red!
Grea: I, uh... It's embarrassing to just have a swimsuit on in front of everyone.
Grea: I mean, Owen and (Captain)'s crew are here too.
Anne: What's the big deal? During the excursion, everyone's going to be wearing just a swimsuit.
Grea: Well, yeah, but still...
Anne: Go, go! Hurry up and try it on!
Grea: Aaah, Anne! You're always so pushy!
Anne pushes the back of Grea, who smirks as she enters the changing room with the swimsuit in hand.
Anne: So, Grea? Are you all changed?
Grea: Y-yeah.
Grea: Well, this is it. Uh... What do you think?
Anne: Wow!
Owen: Mm...
When Grea pulls back the dressing room curtain, a stunned expression crosses the faces of Anne and the others.
  1. It's amazing on you!
  2. You look so cool!

Choose: It's amazing on you!
Anne: Yeah, it's just like (Captain) says!
Anne: It's like it was tailored just for you.

Choose: You look so cool!
Lyria: Ahaha, you really do. It's more stylish and grown-up than girly.
Owen: All the same, it's a superb fit for you.
Anne: I totally agree!
Continue 2
Grea: Th-thank you!
Anne: But more importantly—
Anne draws close to Grea and pokes her in the belly with one finger.
Grea: Aaah, Anne, really?
Anne: You've got, like, the best figure, Grea! You're tall and thin, but you've still got that chest too. And your skin is baby smooth...
Anne: Sigh... Guess I've got to get into shape.
Grea: Anne...
Anne: What do you think, Grea? Want to try on a different one?
Grea: No, I'll take this.
Grea: I mean, everyone had such good things to say about it.
Grea smiles sheepishly.
Anne: All right, next comes my swimsuit. What to go with?
Anne: Hey, Grea. What sort of swimsuit do you think would look good on me?
Grea: Uh, yeah... The best one for you would be—
Grea seems to show a hint of joy as she starts hunting for Anne's swimsuit.
(Captain) and Owen gaze off at the two in silent glee.

Summer Recollections

Anne, Grea, and Owen pick out swimsuits with help from the crew in preparation for their excursion to Auguste. However, Grea becomes worried when she notices that Anne seems anxious about the upcoming trip.

The beach trip is a part of the Mysteria Academy of Magic's annual summer classes.
(Captain) and the crew received a request to guard and supervise during that time.
As a part of that mission, they've gone to Auguste.
Anne: Hey there, (Captain)!
Owen: Sorry for leaving all the luggage in your hands.
  1. You look great in that!
  2. Nice pecs!

Choose: You look great in that!
Anne: Eh-heh, thank you, (Captain).
Vyrn: By the way, what happened to Pianista? Isn't she with you?

Choose: Nice pecs!
Owen: I train every day without fail.
Owen: As the princess's bodyguard, there's no telling when my body will become her shield.
Anne: Geez, Owen! That's, like, not fun to hear at all.
Owen: My... My apologies.
Vyrn: Haha, those two never change, do they?
Vyrn: Oh yeah, though—what happened to Pianista? Isn't she with you?
Continue 1
Anne: Huh? Didn't she get here first? She left the changing room before I did.
Vyrn: Uh-oh, don't tell me she got lost.
Owen: No. If it's Grea you're looking for, she's over there.
Lyria: Huh?
Off in the direction that Owen points to, Grea can be seen hiding behind a small copse of trees. She peeks out at the others.
Anne: What are you doing, Grea? Hurry up and come here!
Grea: It's just... It's really embarrassing to be in front of you all in my swimsuit.
Anne: Why are you so worried all of a sudden? Everybody already saw you in that swimsuit when you tried it on.
Grea: B-but there are other people besides just (Captain) and the crew here...
Anne: You don't need to be so embarrassed.
Anne: (Captain) and Owen both said you look great in it, didn't they?
Grea: I mean... I guess, but...
Vyrn: You know, you stand out a lot more when you're trying to hide like that.
Anne: Yeah, he's right. Come on back over here.
Grea: Oh... Okay then.
An embarrassed expression still on her face, Grea nods and begins walking toward (Captain) and the others.
Grea: I'm back.
Anne: ...
Grea: What is it, Anne? You keep staring at me!
Anne: It's just that your swimsuit really does look fantastic!
Anne: It highlights your features so well!
Grea: Th-thank you...
Anne: Eh-heh! Hey, Grea. Let's have a ton of fun together on the excursion!
Grea: Okay!
Anne: Ton of fun... Hopefully...
Grea: Anne?
A nervous expression flashes across Anne's face.
Noticing this, Grea returns a worried stare in Anne's direction.

Summer Recollections: Scene 2

Anne doesn't know how to swim, and she asks Grea to teach her how rather than joining the beginner's class away from her friends. After a lengthy debate, it's decided that the crew will keep watch while Grea acts as her teacher.

Though they're taking part in a school excursion, the students all find their own ways of enjoying the ocean and the summer.
Grea and Owen decide to pit their swimming skills against each other.
Owen: Huff, huff... Looks like I won!
Grea: Huff... Huff...
Grea: You're incredible, Owen. I never even got close.
Lyria: Whoa, Grea and Owen, you're both so good at swimming!
Vyrn: Uh-huh! I can't believe you could swim so fast!
Grea: There was a river in the place I used to live. I loved swimming in it.
Owen: And I've received marine training from my chivalric order.
Owen: Next to swimming in a suit of armor, taking a dip in trunks is child's play.
Lyria: Huh? Wasn't Anne here with us?
Vyrn: Hm? Yeah, she was.
Grea: Knowing Anne, she's probably over there in the shallows practicing her magic.
Anne: G-glug! Urk... Cough, cough...
Anne's pained cries can be heard amid the sound of thrashing in water.
Turning their eyes in the direction of the cries, the party members see Anne struggling to stay afloat.
Grea: Anne!
Owen: Princess!
(Captain) dives into the ocean and rushes past the two other students toward the flailing Anne.
Anne: No! Cough, cough! M-my... feet...
Anne: Gweh! Cough, cough!
Seemingly in a panic, Anne flails around wildly.
(Captain) puts both arms under Anne's and supports her to prevent her from drowning.
  1. You're okay now!

Choose: You're okay now!
Anne: ...!
(Captain)?
Once it's clear that Anne has calmed down, (Captain) continues to hold her up and returns to the shore.
Grea: Anne, are you okay?
Owen: You aren't hurt, Princess, are you?
Anne: I'm fine. Thank you for rescuing me, (Captain).
Grea: Oh... good.
Grea: (Captain), thank you so much for helping Anne out.
Owen: (Captain), allow me to express my sincere thanks for saving the princess.
Owen: Let me also extend my apologies to you, Princess. You were in peril, and I was unable to assist you. What an embarrassment.
Anne: Don't worry about it. It was my fault for wandering away from you.
Vyrn: Anyway, that came out of nowhere. Was there a monster in the water or something?
Anne: ...
Hearing Vyrn's words, Anne looks down at her feet in silence.
Grea: Anne, what's going on?
Anne: Actually... I've, uh... never...
Vyrn: Huh? What'd she say?
Anne: I've, uh... never done this.
Grea: Anne?
Anne: I said that... I've never swum before.
Grea: Huh? Is that true?
Anne: Mm-hm.
Grea: Anne... You should go with the teachers and take beginner's lessons then.
Vyrn: Huh? You guys have that sorta thing?
Grea: Yeah! Not every single student can swim after all.
Grea: And there are lots of students who are coming to the beach for the first time.
Grea: So the teachers get all of those people together and show them how to swim.
Owen: Many people gain the ability to swim from those lessons.
Vyrn: Oh, huh. So if you take those, then...
Anne: No way!
Lyria: Anne?
Anne: If I took beginner's lessons, then I couldn't stay here with Grea, (Captain), and everyone.
Lyria: Is that true?
Owen: Yes. The beginner's course consists of a specialized curriculum, one separate from that of students who can swim.
Grea: But, Anne, you'll fail if you don't learn to swim.
Anne: Ugh... But...
Anne: Ah, that's it! I just had a great idea!
Anne: How about it, Grea? Why don't you teach me how to swim?
Grea: Uh...
Vyrn: Whoa, that came out of nowhere!
Anne: As long as I learn how to swim, that's what matters, right?
Anne: So it shouldn't make a difference who teaches me in the end.
Anne: If anything, it'd be better with Grea—that way I get to stay here with you guys.
Grea: B-but, Anne. I won't be able to teach you like the teachers can.
Anne: I know that! I know, but I still want you to show me how.
Anne: Please? Please!
Anne then bows her head to Grea.
Grea: A-Anne! If you make me your teacher, I'll do everything I can for you.
Anne: Really?
Grea: Yeah, really. I'd love to help you anytime you're in a fix.
Anne: Grea! Thank you!
In a show of joy, Anne hugs Grea.
Owen: Princess, Grea. Although it pains me, I can't allow that.
Anne: Huh? But why not?
Owen: Suppose that you were to break the rules and get in danger's way. What then? It's unthinkable!
Anne: But Grea will be here with me. I know it'll be fine!
Owen: I naturally have full and total confidence in Grea.
Owen: But that is that, and this is this.
Owen: If something were to happen, it's not clear whether Grea could respond appropriately.
Grea: You're... You're right.
Owen: Since that's the case, Princess, we should take those contingencies into account and request the teachers' instruction.
Anne: Mm... I do understand what you're trying to say.
Anne: But I don't want to be away from Grea—from all of you.
Owen: ...
Anne: What I'm trying to do could cause problems for everyone. I understand that.
Anne: But still, I...
Owen: Princess, although I understand your sentiment—
Grea: Owen, if anything happens to Anne, I'll take responsibility.
Grea: So please, let this one go.
Grea turns toward Owen and bows her head.
Owen: You too, Grea? Even if you take responsibility, what are you...
Owen: ...
Owen: I'd like to see the princess's wishes through as well.
Owen: I understand very well how much she was looking forward to this very day.
Owen: All the same, I'm the princess's bodyguard. And her physical safety has to take priority.
Anne: ...
Grea: ...
Owen: If there were at least a few others looking after the princess, things might be different though.
  1. Let us help.
  2. We'll watch so she doesn't drown.

Choose: Let us help.
Owen: Are you sure you wouldn't mind?
Owen: (Captain), you're supposed to be here on a mission. If you're tied up here with us, then—
Vyrn: Hey, dude! Did you forget what sort of a mission we're on?
Owen: I believe you were here to protect and chaperone the students...
Owen: Ah, I see. So that's what you meant. Both the princess and Grea are students of Mysteria, so they receive your protection.
Owen: Moreover, the princess is attempting to do something dangerous.
Owen: So you need to remain with her as chaperones. That's what you're saying.
(Captain) gives a firm nod.
Owen: Hm...
Owen: If you would be so good as to chaperone, (Captain), I won't take issue with these lessons.
Anne: Uh, so then! Can Grea teach me?

Choose: We'll watch so she doesn't drown.
Owen: If you would be so good as to chaperone, (Captain), I won't take issue with these lessons.
Owen: (Captain)'s swimming prowess when rescuing the princess was truly beyond reproach.
Grea: Yeah, every little motion seemed deliberate. It was so beautiful.
Anne: Wow, that's really incredible.
Owen: Still, most amazing of all was the split-second decision making of (Captain).
Owen: The instant it was clear that the princess was drowning, (Captain) jumped into motion without a moment's delay.
Grea: Yeah. But we were all too shocked to do anything ourselves.
Owen: Indeed. It was a great embarrassment to me as the princess's bodyguard.
Owen: Nonetheless, that incident gives me the confidence to say that Anne will be safe and secure so long as (Captain) is with her.
Anne: A-all right then! So can Grea teach me?
Continue 1
Owen: Sure. You're free, Princess, to do as you please.
Anne: Thank you, Owen!
Anne: And thank you, (Captain), and everyone else, too!
Anne beams from ear to ear, and her smile spreads to (Captain) and the others.
Grea: Okay then, Anne!
Anne: Let's do this, teacher!
Under Grea's instruction, Anne begins her swimming practice.

Summer Recollections: Scene 3

Under Grea's tutelage, Anne makes good progress on her swim lesson. Suddenly a monster appears from the waves and snags Anne's swimsuit in the confusion. The crew prepares to fight the monster to get it back.

Anne has admitted to (Captain), Grea, and the others that she's never swum before.
Grea is now teaching her how it's done.
Grea: Looks like you're okay putting your face underwater. Next let's practice kicking your legs.
Anne: Hey, hey, Grea! Hold my hand tight. Don't let go no matter what, all right?
Grea: Yeah, I know! You don't need to look so worried!
Anne: Mm. All right then, here goes! Here I go!
While Grea grasps her hand, Anne practices kicking her legs.
Grea: Good job, very good job! Keep your legs in motion, and then put your face underwater.
Anne: Okay. One... two...
Grea: ...
Anne: Blurb, blurb, blurb!
Grea: C'mon, Anne! Come up for air!
Anne: Phwaaah... huff, huff... Ah, ah yeah. If you don't come up for air, you'll drown.
Anne: But, Grea, what's the right time to surface?
Grea: The right time? As long as you do it before you get uncomfortable, you'll be fine.
Anne: Oh... yeah?
Grea: Yeah! Now try taking a breath while paddling your legs.
Anne: All right!
Grea: There you go. Just like that. Just like that.
Anne: Pweh! Huff, huff...
Grea: Yeah, very nice. So now I'm going to let go for just a little bit.
Anne: Huh? No, wait, I—
Anne: Bweh, cough, cough, agh!
The moment that Grea releases her hand, Anne begins panicking and flailing.
Grea: Calm down, Anne! Your feet still touch the bottom here.
Anne: Cough, cough... Darn it...
Anne: I swallowed a whole bunch of water.
Grea: A-are you all right? Do you want to rest there on the beach?
Anne: No, I'm fine. Let's keep going with practice.
Anne: I want to learn how to go fast so I can swim with you, Grea.
Grea: Anne...
Anne: Oh, but let me know before you let go of my hand. When you let go all of a sudden, I panic.
Grea: All right. I'll be sure to properly warn you next time.
Hearing those words, Anne nods and begins kicking her feet again.
Lyria: You can do it, Anne!
From the beach, the party gazes at Anne and Grea's swimming lessons.
Owen: Huh, the time has certainly flown.
Owen: (Captain), pardon me, but I'm going to step away for a bit.
Vyrn: Huh? Where are you going?
Owen: Off to procure some food and beverages for those two.
Owen: So at any rate I'll be—
Anne: Aaaaaah!
The shouts of Anne and Grea pierce the air.
(Captain) and Owen see the panicked look in each other's eyes and dash toward the pair.
Owen: Princess! Grea! Are you okay?
Anne is hiding behind Grea and seems alarmed.
Grea: Watch out, (Captain)! There's something in the water!
(Captain) and the others tense up, and their faces turn pale.
Vyrn: Something in the water? Hey, what kinda thing? A monster?
Grea: Sorry, I didn't know quite what it was, but...
Grea: Something slimy suddenly wrapped itself around our bodies...
Grea: And we panicked.
Owen: Are you in any way hurt?
Grea: It's okay. I didn't get hurt, and neither did Anne.
Grea: But, uh, Anne's swimsuit came off.
Gran is the Main Character

Grea: So don't get too close, Owen and (Captain).
Djeeta is the Main Character

Grea: So don't get too close, Owen.
Owen: Understood. I suppose the circumstances give me no choice.
Owen: But what could possibly have—
Grea: There!
Grea shoots a burst of magic in the direction of the splash.
Vyrn: So it was a monster! The darn thing was hiding in the ocean!
Anne: Aaah! On that monster's tentacle—it's my swimsuit!
Grea: I've got this! I'm going to take it back!
Owen: Then I'll watch after the princess in your stead.
Anne: Owen, do not look in this direction!
Owen: Very well.
Vyrn: Pianista, we're gonna join in too!
Lyria: Yes, it's our job to protect the students!
Grea: Thanks, (Captain).
Grea then turns back toward the monster.
Grea: That swimsuit belongs to Anne! And you'd better give it back!

Summer Recollections: Scene 4

Anne's swimsuit is recovered from the defeated monster, and she successfully learns how to swim. Anne and Grea rest by the shore—as Grea falls asleep with her head in Anne's lap, Anne tells her they'll be friends forever.

(Captain) and company have defeated the monster and recovered Anne's bathing suit.
After Owen and the others leave to report this series of events to the teachers, Anne and Grea resume swimming practice.
Grea: Okay, Anne, I'm going to let go of your hand now.
Anne: All right.
Even after Grea releases her hand, Anne is able to kick her legs and remain above the surface.
Anne: Hah! How'd I do, Grea!
Grea: You were swimming all by yourself.
Anne: Yaaay!
Anne hugs Grea tightly as if to express her joy from head to toe.
Anne: Thank you, Grea! I know how to swim now thanks to you!
Grea: What do you mean? It was all because you practiced so hard. But still...
Anne: Huh? What is it, Grea!
Grea: I can't believe you learned to swim so quickly. You're such a prodigy, Anne.
Anne: Not really. I couldn't have done it without such a good teacher!
Grea: Ahaha, that makes me so happy!
Grea: Okay, Anne! Let's take a little break then. We've been swimming so long you have to be tired.
Anne: Huh? I'll still fine. I mean, I finally learned to swim, so...
Grea: No, we should really at least take a break. Swimming's a lot more tiring than you'd think.
Grea: If you keep going when you're tired, your legs could cramp up, and you could drown.
Anne: Ooh, I don't want that.
Anne: All right then. Help me practice more later on.
Grea: Sure.
Grea and Anne sit on the rocks and rest.
Anne: That breeze is great.
Grea: Mm... Yawn...
Anne: Eh-heh, what a big yawn. Feeling tired?
Grea: Just a little. Today we were... We were swimming all day.
Anne: Ahaha... I'm sorry. I kept you all to myself.
Grea: Don't worry about it. Like I told you before, I'd love to help you.
Anne: Hmm, but still... Ah, that's it!
Anne: Hey, Grea! Since you taught me how to swim, let me do something nice for you!
Anne then places Grea's head onto her lap.
Grea: Anne, what are you...
Anne: My lap can be your pillow!
Anne: Oh, and if you're sleepy, you can just sleep right here!
Anne: I'll wake you up when the others come back.
Grea: Yeah, but...
Anne: This is my way of saying thanks, Grea. Don't sweat it.
Grea: Oh, uh, then I guess I'll just borrow your lap for a little bit.
Anne: Yeah!
Grea: ...
Anne: ...
Grea: Hm... I don't know why, but your lap is super comfy. It's so relaxing.
Anne: Really? That's so nice.
Anne: This is my first time ever laying anyone's head on my lap, so I was a little nervous.
Anne: Still though... Eh-heh-heh!
Grea: Anne? How come you just giggled all of a sudden?
Anne: Aaah, it's nothing...
Anne: Your head there in my lap—it's nice for you... and for me too.
Grea: Really?
Anne: Yeah. Your body heat and your weight feel amazing, Grea.
Anne: Aaah!
Anne: Ooh, that gust...
Grea: Anne, your hair's all messed up.
Grea reaches out her hand and runs it through Anne's hair.
Grea: Your hair is so nice and smooth, Anne.
Anne: Really?
Grea: Yeah. It feels so good on my fingers that I want to keep touching it and touching it.
Anne: Grea, it tickles when you play with it like that.
Grea: Ah, s-sorry. It was just such a nice feeling, and...
Anne: Your hair's beautiful too though, Grea.
Anne softly strokes Grea's hair.
Grea: Mm... Your hand... feels so good... Anne.
Anne: Wanna go to sleep for a bit?
Grea: Yeah, I will.
Anne: Okay. Good night, Grea.
Grea: Good night, Anne.
As she enjoys the sensation of Anne's hand, Grea gives in to her sleepiness.
Anne smiles warmly at Grea.
Anne: Eh-heh, it's always so fun with you, Grea.
Anne: Let's be friends forever.
Anne goes on caressing Grea's hair for a very long time.
