Io is the third story character to join the party, afterand . However, she offers little to the party compared to fellow Water-element Katalina—a small AoE skill, debuff removal (when Katalina prevents them), and an okay heal (with a healing cap only 200 HP higher than Katalina's at base).
After her 5★ uncap, unlocked after clearing Chapter 100 Story: The Watcher Acts , she still remains rather mediocre for her investment. However, she has some niche uses, such as in SR Arcarum teams where her AoE is useful or for use in Full Auto teams.
How to Play
After reaching level 90, Io can shine in Full Auto teams focused on 1-turn burst damage. It requires some specific components, such as Chrysaor MC, a 3★ as a main or support summon, the +30% Crew charge bar boost, and a relatively strong grid, but players who can fulfill its requirements can quickly clear battles without focusing on them.
With the above setup, Io in second position can reach 90% charge bar on Turn 1 on her own, which will allow her to use her C.A. thanks to Chrysaor's. Because she has 2 green-border skills (which aren't used by Full Auto), she only uses the other 2 skills, saving time in the long run compared to many of her alternatives. Sufficiently powerful grids can use her even when she's off-element and she's just being used to get a fourth party member to use their C.A.
