Gameplay Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Chrysaor's normal attacks count as one damage instance despite appearing as two instances; the visual effect is purely cosmetic.
  • The Mailbreaker support skill can activate even if none of the multiattack hits land.
  • Dual Arts' charge attack reactivation does induce a chain burst, even if no other character in the party can charge attack in the same turn. Likewise, if the full party contributes to a chain burst including Dual Arts, the resulting five-chain is referred to as an Overburst.

Auxiliary Weapon[edit | edit source]

Auxiliary weapons are a unique mechanic to Gladiator and Chrysaor. These are regular weapons that can be set up in the weapon grid, and are used to activate or improve certain skills. Not having an auxiliary weapon does not prevent players from using the class. However, they may not be played in their fullest potential.

To equip an auxiliary weapon, there are three simple requirements:

  • The weapon must be set at the top-leftmost corner of the weapon grid
  • The weapon must be a sword or katana
  • The weapon must have the same element as the main hand weapon

Not fulfilling any of these will consider the class as not having an auxiliary weapon. Other than these requirements, the auxiliary can be any weapon, including Class Champion Weapons of other classes. However, because they are part of the grid instead of the main hand weapon, these weapons do not make use of their main hand skills, if any.
