Your main hand weapon dictates what Sword Master's various abilities do. Every weapon has four effects:
- Awaken: The effect that happens when you cast
This generates the resource stacks.
15 are generated without boosts to energy cap. EMP nodes and the class line's Class Champion Weapons can boost this further.
- Resonance: The effect that happens when you cast
Some energy will be spent to cast this skill, the amount defined by the weapon being used. You cannot cast this with less energy than necessary.
- Attack: The effect that is added to each attack as long as you are
Charge Attacks do not apply this effect but 1 energy will still be consumed that turn.
While under effect of or , 2 and 3 energy will be spent total, respectively.
- Defend: The effect that happens the main character is hit as long as you are
Some energy will be spent to activate an effect, defined by the weapon being used.
Defend effects might happen multiple times per turn, depending on the weapon. This can put a heavy drain on the Sword Master's energy reserves when faced with multiple enemies or multiple hit skills.
You can recast or use while under to recover energy before it runs out.
