Auxiliary Weapon

The top-left slot of the grid is used as an auxiliary weapon for some classes.

Auxiliary weaponsA class specialty weapon of the same element as the main weapon, equipped in the top-left slot of the sub weapon section are a mechanic unique to classes where the top-left slot of the sub weapon section gains a different border than usual and defines how related passive and active skills will behave. See Auxiliary Weapon Affected Skills for a list of skills affected by auxiliary weapons.

An auxiliary weapon must match the weapon specialty of the current class as well as the main weapon's element to qualify as an auxiliary weapon.

Auxiliary weapons are displayed in battle along with the mainhand, but do not qualify as a mainhand for weapon skill requirements.

Since they are not equipped in the main weapon slot, Class Champion Weapons of other classes can be used as an auxiliary weapon.

Jomsborg

  • Extends all buffs with an original duration of 1.5 turns or higher.
  • Grants two of the following buffs to all allies:
  • Buff durations are extended before two random buffs are granted.

Peerless Brawn

  • Unlike Chrysaor, Viking's 2-hit normal attacks are separate damage instances. Bonus Damage and Supplemental Damage effects will apply to both instances.
  • Counterattacks will also deal 2-hit damage.

Overview

Viking is an offense-oriented class that focuses slightly more on buffing the team over its Row IV counterpart, Class 100301 sw square.jpg Berserker. Many of Viking's class skills provide additional benefits if both a Sabre and an Axe are equipped in the Main/Auxiliary Weapon slots. The class tends to be used for Full Auto and burst rotations where Class 100301 sw square.jpg Berserker provides less benefit or in low button One Turn Kill setups.
