Holy Saber provides defensive utility, opening many solo options and allowing even the least-developed players to contribute meaningfully in multiplayer content.

On its own it can trivialize many otherwise lethal attacks, but it can also be stacked with several other sources of damage cut (such as the Carbuncles or Athena) to defend against damage completely. The attack boost provided by Holy Saber's passive is also a bonus.

However, since Holy Saber is often brought to battles where foe charge attacks are a major threat, a tool to break foes out of overdrive is not entirely unwelcome.

    are appreciated. Raid-wide skills also generate considerable contribution, allowing even new or weak players to farm Event Honors or Pendants efficiently.

Overall, Holy Saber is probably the most powerful Row III class in the game. The only reason it is not the top priority for new players is that the more consistent mitigation provided by Dark Fencer is often more important than negating a limited number of devastating attacks. That being said, Holy Saber makes an excellent second unlock because one of its prerequisites is taken care of when unlocking Dark Fencer, and because it makes as good of a use of Ability m 44 4.png Miserable MistInflict Status AttackDown.png25% ATK DownATK is lowered
