About ATK Down

ATK DownATK is lowered
reduces Attack of a foe it's applied on, effectively reducing damage taken by your party.

• Normal ATK DownATK is lowered
  effects from different sources (Skill Single / Skill Dual / Character C.A. / Summon Call) are additive and cap at 50%.
• ATK DownATK is lowered
  and ATK Down (Stackable)ATK is lowered (Stackable)
  are multiplicative but share the same cap of 50%.
  
  • Just like DEF Down (Stackable)DEF is lowered (Stackable)
    , single ATK Down (Stackable)ATK is lowered (Stackable)
    will apply one stack of the effect and will continue doing so up to a certain cap (the strength of single effect and cap differs by source).

  • Stacking example if all effect types are applied:
    A foe afflicted with 10% Fire ATK DownFire ATK is lowered
    Strength: 10%, 10% ATK DownATK is lowered
    Strength: 10%, and 10% ATK Down (Stackable)ATK is lowered (Stackable)
    Strength: 10% would effectively have a 27% ATK Down1 - 0.9 * 0.9 * 0.9 = 0.27

  • Example of Elemental ATK Down stacking with other types if the 50% cap is reached:
    A foe afflicted with 10% Fire ATK DownFire ATK is lowered
    Strength: 10% and 50% ATK DownATK is lowered
    Strength: 50% would effectively have a 55% ATK Down1 - 0.9 * 0.5 = 0.55

    Or in terms of damage taken:
    ATK * 0.9 * 0.5 = ATK * 0.45
    45% Damage Taken for fire attacks.
• Note that unlike DEF DownDEF is lowered
  and DEF UpDEF is boosted
  which are additive, ATK DownATK is lowered
  is multiplicative with any ATK UpATK is boosted
  effects.

ATK DownATK is lowered Local status effect (Local) stacking rules are currently unknown. Any sources that would confirm how it's interacting with other ATK Down types would be appreciated.
