ATK is sharply boosted

Assassin (Buff) refers to a subset of Status Effects that boosts the ATK and damage cap of the character.

About Assassin Buffs

The characteristics of Assassin buffs are as follows:

  • The ATK of the character is boosted.
    • The ATK boost for charge attacks is reduced to 2/3 of its original effectiveness.
  • For standard Assassin buffs:
    • The damage cap of normal attacks is boosted to ~1,160,000 per hit (before any Damage Cap boosts or Final Damage boosts).
    • The damage cap of charge attacks is boosted by 30%.[1]
  • Some Assassin buffs boost charge attacks by more than 30%, e.g. Tiger's BlessingATK is boosted by Three-Tiger's Blessing / Maximum amount of DMG that can be dealt per C.A. to foes who cap C.A. DMG is boosted (Can't be removed)
    . Please refer to the specific Character pages for more information about the value of the increase damage cap.
  • Assassin's Aim buffs only get consumed if their stated condition is present.
  • Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
    and Assassin's Aim (Mark) are not consumed by summon calls.
  • Stacking rules are as follows:
    • When stacking, the increase in damage cap will not increase further than what is mentioned above.
    • Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
      and Assassin's Aim (Overdrive)ATK is boosted for foes in Overdrive
      do not stack.
    • Single-target Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
      stacks additively with team-wide Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
      .
      • Single-target Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
        does not stack with itself. Only the strongest instance applies.
      • Team-wide Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
        does not stack with itself. Any instance used will overwrite the previous instance, regardless of strength.
      • Assassin's Aim (Overdrive)ATK is boosted for foes in Overdrive
        does not stack with itself. Any instance used will overwrite the previous instance, regardless of strength.
    • Assassin's Aim (Mark) stacks multiplicatively with Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
      and Assassin's Aim (Overdrive)ATK is boosted for foes in Overdrive
      .
    • Anytime Assassin will overwrite all instances of Assassin's Aim.
      • This includes instances with unique icons like Shiva (Summon)'s Path of DestructionATK is boosted
        .
      • Anytime Assassin (1 turn) will overwrite any instance of Anytime Assassin (1 hit).
    • Anytime Assassin (1 turn) stacks additively with other instances of Anytime Assassin (1 turn).
    • Assassin buffs included in composite statuses which contain multiple effects will not stack with other Assassin buffs, but still remain visually.

Assassin's Aim (Break)

  • Assassin's Aim (Break)ATK is boosted when foe is in break mode
    (formerly named Salted Wound and colloquially referred to as Break Assassin) refers to an ATK buff which takes effect when the foe is in Break mode.
