Character Release Formerly the only daughter of the boss of the Knights of Ditoria, a chivalric order which had split a certain town in half. Now, that order has been utterly destroyed by a hostile organization, and its members have since been scattered to other towns. Because of her straightforward personality and courteous demeanor, the scattered gangsters call her Boss, and even now love her dearly. Because of the trouble that might be caused if her involvement in the mafia were to be known, she conceals her lineage as she travels. Due to her inheritance, from childhood she has been wrapped up in various disputes; as a consequence of being raised in the middle of such circumstances, and contrary to her appearance, she is very much from an organization ready to use violence. For the speech, of course. You've gotta wear something with your tag on it, right? It's a mark of respect. Everyone knows that. That's what I always used to do back when I was with the old gang.
2	✔	Happy New Year, (Captain). I'm looking forward to our new adventures together this year. I prepared a New Year's meal for you today. I'm pretty good at this kind of stuff. I used to make New Year's meals as a child with my sisters. Cooking up your own meals for holidays is said to bring great fortune. And the tastier it is, the more fortune will come your way. Or so I hear, at least. So I made it extra delicious! I'm sure you're gonna love it, (Captain). Oh! Before that I should wake the others first. I mean, the first meal of the new year should be enjoyed together with everybody, right?

I guess you probably figured that. So, Boss, this is for you. It's chocolates, of course. I wouldn't disrespect you with anythin' cheesy. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever given a Valentine's gift to anyone other than my parents until now.
2	✔	I made some chocolates for you, (Captain)... As thanks for everything you do. They're handmade of course. I mean, that's the only way to really show affection for someone, right? Oh, this paper bag? There's more chocolate in here too. I heard that Lyria gives chocolates to everyone on the Grandcypher. So I decided I'd do the same thing this year. We're all on the same crew, so it makes sense that we should let our fellow crewmates know how much we appreciate them! Oh, but between you and me... Yours is special. 4	✔	Hey, (Captain), can I talk to you for a sec? I wanna ask for your advice on somethin'... Since tomorrow's Halloween, I'm thinking of dressin' up for the first time in a while... Someone in the family made me wear it. I tried to tell her that cute things didn't suit me, but she insisted that they did. 1	✔	Um, happy holidays... I guess. Truth is, I ain't never been to a party like this before. Back when I was leader of my gang, we were always too busy gettin' ready for New Year's around now. But you guys are really chilled out. You know, I read in this book about a gang called the Elves that's always active this time of year. Their boss is called Santa Claus. Apparently they always strike in the middle of the night. We better be ready.
2	✔	(Captain)? What're you doing here at this hour? Me? I'm waiting for Santa. Ah, don't get the wrong idea though. I've learned from last year. I know now that Santa isn't the boss of some gang. This year I'm going to meet him. So I'm waiting here. After all, Santa rewards all upstanding sky denizens by buying the presents himself, doesn't he? I want to thank such a caring and charitable person at least once— What? It doesn't work like that?
3	✔	(Captain)? Why are you in town alone? Me? I'm just taking in the sight of the snow in my stroll through town. ... The sheer expanse of white puts me in the mood for a drink... Why, you ask? There's just something really graceful and refined about drinking to the pristine view of snow. No drink for you though, (Captain). Maybe when you have more years under your belt. The Rules of One

(Captain) and company go into town to stock up on food, but they spot a local woman surrounded by ruffians and rush in to help. Impressed with the crew's chivalrous nature, a girl named Yuisis steps in and fends off the ruffians, later asking to join the crew.

Lyria: Umm... That's everything we need, right?

Vyrn: Yup! Okay, time to head back.

Lyria: Huh?

Vyrn: Wah! What was that?

Woman: Aaah!

Thug 1: This is our turf now! Deal with it!

Woman: You can't do that!

Thug 1: Who says we can't? I've got a paper here that says otherwise. We own this place now!

Woman: That paper is a total forgery! I've got the real one!

Thug 1: Hah! It doesn't matter what you say! You're nobody to us!

Thug 1: If we say this paper's legit, then it's legit!

Thug 1: So pack up and get lost. Or am I gonna have to start using force?

(Captain) and crew turn around to see a woman on the ground surrounded by thugs.

One of the thugs jumps in with a knife and goes to attack the woman.

Lyria: Watch out!

Vyrn: Whew, that was a close call. We barely made it in time.

Thug 1: What the? Who the heck are you? You're gonna regret poking your noses into our business!

Lyria: Well... I realize we don't really know what's going on here, but violence is not the answer! You have to talk it out.

Thug 1: Shut up! Hey, fellas, sort out these do-gooders! And don't forget that woman!

Thug 2: You got it!

Thug 3: Hehe, sorry 'bout this!

With a nod, the thugs brandish their blades and move in to attack.

Vyrn: Come on, guys... C-can't we talk about this?

Outnumbered and unable to escape, (Captain) fights a defensive battle.

But one of the thugs finds an opening and moves in to attack the woman.

In a desperate attempt to protect her, (Captain) jumps into the path of the attacker.

Lyria: No!

Vyrn: Look out!

???: Takin' the heat for someone in trouble...

???: Respect. I like that. You know, I think I might just join you guys in showin' these goons some manners.

Thug 1:

Thug 1: Oof! Wh-what the? You piece of—

???: You're finished, punk. Or haven't you noticed all your little friends are sleepin' with the fishes?

Thug 1: What! How could you possibly have taken them all out? We had the numbers...

???: You need to learn it's quality over quantity. Small fries like that ain't worth much in a real fight.

???: Now, you're way outta line with this little turf war of yours.

???: And gettin' heavy-handed with respectable strangers is not somethin' I'm willin' to overlook.

???: Time for some payback, scumbag.

???: When someone breaks the rules and threatens the family, it's up to those in power to settle the business.

Lyria: Umm... Sorry, I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

Lyria: B-but... I think you might be taking it a little too far.

Vyrn: Yeah. You've done enough already.

???: Very well. If this is your request, then I cannot refuse.

???: You lowlifes owe these people a great debt. They let you off the hook.

???: But if I catch you breakin' the rules again, you ain't gonna be so lucky. Don't forget that.

Thug 1: Eek! Okay, okay!

Lyria: Wow! I've never seen such an intimidating smile!

Vyrn: Yeah... You are one scary girl...

???: Robbin' the innocent, threatenin' them, wreckin' their stuff... All of these things are unforgivable.

???: Once you break bread, you're family. After that you do whatever it takes to protect each other.

???: And you never go back on your word. You give respect, you earn respect. Someone does your family wrong, you make 'em pay.

???: Loyalty and duty are the bottom line.

???: Those are my rules. And if anyone wants to violate those rules, then they'll have to face me.

Vyrn: ...

???: Ahem. Anyway, forget about me. What about gettin' that lady patched up, huh?

Lyria: Oh yes, of course!

Together with their newfound acquaintance, whose name is Yuisis, the crew tends to the injured woman's wounds and helps her to tidy up.

Once their work is done, they bid the woman farewell and take a walk around town with Yuisis.

Lyria: Thanks for all your help, Yuisis. We couldn't have done it without you.

Yuisis: My pleasure. But I was just followin' your lead.

Vyrn: Well, you're an amazing fighter, that's for sure. I can't believe you took out all those guys in one swing!

Yuisis: Ever since I was young, I've been used to gettin' involved in the family business.

Vyrn: Yeah... I, um, can't help noticing you've got an interesting way of talking too.

Vyrn: You use words I've never even heard before.

Yuisis: Oh, sorry. Everyone in my family talks this way.

Yuisis: Yeah, but I dunno if it's true or not. It's probably just an old wives' tale.

Lyria: Yes? What is it, Yuisis? You're staring at us awfully hard...

Yuisis: Sorry, it's just that I never figured straight shooters like you for fixers.

Yuisis: Looks like you knights have got things runnin' pretty smoothly around here, huh?

Yuisis: Yeah. From now on, I'm in your mafia. I mean, your crew. I'm one of you.

When Yuisis and the crew visit a large town to restock their supplies, Yuisis runs off and spots a small good-luck pot. Vyrn points out that the trinket is a rip-off, prompting the infuriated store owner to send his goons after the crew.

But there are so many people around, they soon get separated from Yuisis.

With that, the men sprint off as fast as they can.
