Overview

μ's Second-Years are a support character that bring two very important buffs to the table: Status Strength.pngStrengthATK is greatly boosted based on how high HP is
and Status 1003.pngVeil (1 time)Debuffs will be nullified (1 time)
"Veil" is an unofficial name used by the wiki for this status effect. Its actual in-game name is "Immune."
.

Strengths

  • Most accessible source of Status 1003.pngVeil (1 time)Debuffs will be nullified (1 time)
"Veil" is an unofficial name used by the wiki for this status effect. Its actual in-game name is "Immune."
in Light, which is extremely useful against most Dark bosses.
  • Party-wide Status Strength.pngStrengthATK is greatly boosted based on how high HP is
    Strength: 10%-20%Duration: 3 turns
is a powerful buff that is stronger relative to how high each party member's HP is. Light teams prefer staying at high HP, making Strength buffs particularly potent.
  • Status LightAtkUp.png15% Light ATK UpLight ATK is boosted
Strength: 15%Duration: 5.5 turnsApplied during the attack phase.
On the next turn, it'll have 5 turns remaining.
on Charge Attack buffs the party further and has relatively long uptime; the additional 500 HP is nice for keeping HP high.
  • Icon Support Skill.png Otonokizaka Second-Years10% boost to all allies' C.A. DMG. passively increases the whole party's C.A. damage as long as they are on the front lines.

Weaknesses

  • A 9-turn cooldown on Status 1003.pngVeil (1 time)Debuffs will be nullified (1 time)
"Veil" is an unofficial name used by the wiki for this status effect. Its actual in-game name is "Immune."
is extremely long, especially when the skill has no other effect. Any debuff that is inflicted while Veil is on cooldown will have to be waited out if no other form of debuff removal is available.
  • Debuff is dual-sided, which does not stack with (and is overwritten by) Ability m 44 4.png Miserable MistInflict Status AttackDown.png25% ATK DownATK is lowered
    Strength: 25%Base Accuracy: 80%Duration: 180 secondsStacking: Dual
and Status DefenseDown.png25% DEF DownDEF is lowered
    Strength: 25%Base Accuracy: 80%Duration: 180 secondsStacking: Dual
    on all foes.
. Reaching the DEF Down 50% cap will require at least two other DEF Down skills that stack with each other.
  • Status Strength.pngStrengthATK is greatly boosted based on how high HP is
is a potent buff, but μ's on their own are not very good at maintaining the party's HP in tougher fights. 500 HP is a tiny cap easily reached even by relative beginners, and they have no means of boosting their healing output through Extended Mastery Perks.
  • Icon Support Skill.png Otonokizaka Second-Years10% boost to all allies' C.A. DMG. boosts C.A. damage, but not its damage cap; it may lose some value with players who can hit cap.

How to Play

Although μ's Second-Years have a rather straightforward kit with very little learning curve, understanding how to use Status 1003.pngVeil (1 time)Debuffs will be nullified (1 time)
"Veil" is an unofficial name used by the wiki for this status effect. Its actual in-game name is "Immune."
optimally is particularly important when Ability Don't Forget to Smile!.png Don't Forget to Smile! All allies gain Status 1003.pngVeil (1 time)Debuffs will be nullified (1 time)

has a whopping 9-turn cooldown.

Veil nullifies all debuffs that are applied on a single turn, even if it comes from multiple enemies. Knowing when to time it for maximum effect goes a long way; learning raid triggers and enemy specials comes in handy, especially while soloing.

μ's Second-Years are useful for tackling Celeste Omega but should be used with caution. Celeste's favorite debuff, Status Zombie.pngZombifiedReceives DMG if healed
, is a pain for μ's (and a party with them in it) to be afflicted by, since their C.A. will inflict a 500 HP healing penalty on anyone that's Zombified. Status 1003.pngVeil (1 time)Debuffs will be nullified (1 time)

can block the first Bizarre Fog or Aubade Oblivion that comes your way, but Celeste's charge diamonds fill far faster than μ's can keep up. Having someone else bring a skill like Ability m 26 2.png ClarityRemove 1 debuff from all parties. as insurance is a good idea.

Gamewith's recommended EMP build for μ's Second-Years.

Priorities

Take their Support Skill first to boost their firepower, then C.A. DMG. After that, take Critical to maximize damage potential. Put a few stars in both DA nodes to raise their chances of double attacking. Afterwards, your selection is pretty free, since they lack Healing nodes to improve their C.A. If you make use of their debuffs, then maxing out Debuff Success should be a priority.
