Big Bad Shadow is an annual April Fool's event. It lasts for only 24 hours. This event first appeared in 2017.

Grand Blues! comic strip #1528 must be viewed in-game before event page is unlocked. The video does not need to be played, but the comic strip page must be visited first.

After this year's event iteration, an anime adaption of Grand Blues! was announced to premiere in 2020.

• Dragon Bar V has a skill that can boost drop rate. Obtaining it should be your first priority. Multiple copies do not stack with each other.
• Vy-Ball only drops from the Blackhole battle, but has no use. If you're an item collector, this event is the only way to obtain one.
• Trophies are available in this event and awards the usual Crystals.
• Note that there is no special reward for clearing the Blackhole battle aside from a Vy-Ball and a trophy.

• In Blackhole difficulty, the field effect Big Bad ShadowDMG dealt to foes is supplemented / Foes' DEF is lowered on every turn
  Duration: Indefinite is active at the start of battle and lasts indefinitely. It has the following effects:
  • +100,000 Supplemental DMG effect for allies
  • Boosts Vyrn?'s DEF by +400% on turn 1 and reduces by 16% per turn. After turn 25, the DEF boost is 0%.
• Vyrn? has a base DEF of 8.
• Big Bad ShadowDMG dealt to foes is supplemented / Foes' DEF is lowered on every turn
  Duration: Indefinite's DEF boost is reduced by DEF Down effects additively. Example: 400% - 25% (single side) - 25% (double side) - 40% (stackable) = 310% on turn 1.

• The rankings' update may be delayed due to server load and network connection.

• Battles cleared after 12 midnight, Apr 2 (JST) won't be included in the rankings.

Nice-Abs Power Form Ranking

• Players will be ranked based on the total damage dealt within one turn.
• Among players with the same damage dealt, the player that cleared the battle with the fewest turns will be ranked highest.

Speed-Demon Form Ranking

• Players will be ranked based on how few turns it took to clear each battle.
• Among players with the same number of turns, the player that cleared the battle in the shortest time will be ranked highest.
