Supplemental Damage refers to damage that is added to certain damage instances. The generic status associated with supplemental damage is Status DmgUp.pngSupplemental DMGDMG dealt is supplemented
.

Supplemental damage activations follow certain rules:

  • Supplemental damage, such as Status DmgUp.pngSupplemental DMGDMG dealt is supplemented
    and Status Everbane.pngEverbaneBoost to DMG taken / HP is lowered on every turn (Can't be removed)
    Local status effect
    is applied additively to each damage instance.
    • Skills that hit foes for multiple times (e.g. Ability Attack2.png Stardust10-hit, 80% Fire damage to a foe (Damage cap: ~82,000 per hit~820,000 total; Does not include Peacemaker.).
      At level 95:

    • Charge Attacks are treated as a single damage instance, even if the full animation shows multiple hits.
      • Additional, distinct damage effects, such as bonus damage, will still be treated separately. Although depending on the charge attack, these may also count as a different damage type (such as skill damage) and will not benefit from supplemental effects that apply only to charge attack damage.
    • Some characters will show multiple damage instances per normal attack. Supplemental damage is applied to each individual damage instance.
      • However, there are some noted cases where a normal attack animation shows multiple hits, but is treated as a single damage instance (e.g. Ilsa, Heles (Wind)).
  • Supplemental damage ignores DMG Cuts, DEF, and Status Mirror Image.pngMirror ImageNext one-to-one attack received will be ineffective

  • The supplemental damage value usually has a cap, and it is dependent on the source of the effect. However, the actual damage is usually based on a formula, which can take different forms, for instance:

  • When the supplemental damage is a non-integer, the damage is rounded up.

Effect Stacking

  • Supplemental damage sources are separated into several categories that will generally stack with each other.
  • Unless otherwise stated, only the highest strength applies in the case where multiple sources of the same category are present.
  • Described below are the different categorizations which will stack with each other[5]:

Support Skill C This category comprises of Support Skills that only target charge attack damage.
Support Skill D This category comprises of Support Skills that only target skill damage.
Weapon Skill This comprises of all supplemental damage that come from Weapon Skills

A This category comprises of all weapons that do not fall under any of the following sub categories.
