Overview

Syr is an event character providing defense for the party in the form of debuffs. He is an early game character who falls behind and is easily replaced by other characters.

Strengths

  • Increases survivability of the party with all three of his debuffs
  • Provides some heals for any version of Mary
  • Easy to use and full-auto-friendly

Weaknesses

  • Provides no damage skills or utility
  • Low overall stats for an SR character
  • Debuffs are slightly inaccurate
  • Debuff values are fairly low, (e.g. DisarmInflict 15% ATK DownATK is lowered

How to Play

Syr's gameplay is fairly simple and low maintenance. His debuffs should generally be used at the beginning of the battle, and only be reused once the debuffs have nearly run out. Despite his limitations, his assets gain value based on effects that improve based on number of debuffs (e.g. Green HazeDMG taken is supplemented based on number of debuffs

Synergy

As a general-use debuffer, Syr can be used in most teams that would appreciate his debuffs. His few synergies include:

  • Ranger: The Ranger-type classes, including up to Nighthound, all have a support skill that gains a small boost to ATK when the target is debuffed. Additionally, the class eventually gains the skills,  Hard LineBig elemental damage to a foe with a debuff. and  Bullseye Run100% elemental damage to a foe (Damage cap: ~580,000).

  • Robin Hood: Syr provides up to four debuffs that improve the class' skill effects and support skills. All of the class' skills also stack with Syr's, further increasing the number of debuff count a foe can have for their skills.
  • Samurai: Syr can apply BlindedAttacks have a slight chance to miss
    on a foe which can help prevent the Samurai-type classes from taking damage and removing their first skill effects. There are otherwise very little synergy between them.
  • Exo Australis: With three debuffing skills, Syr can provide charge bar to the entire team every 5-6 turns, provided the weapon is equipped as a main hand. The bow can be used by all the classes above.

Despite his passive support skill providing heals for Mary, the two don't actually synergize very well apart from slightly increasing her survivability.

Prioritize one point on one or two Debuff Success nodes first, then focus on Double Attack, Triple Attack, Critical and Attack, in that order. Omit Critical if using off-element.
