Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Opening

(Captain), Vyrn, and Gachapin meet Lyria and Katalina, who are being pursued by the empire. They join the two fugitives on a voyage and leave the island of Zinkenstill.

In a world abandoned by the gods, a lone dragon remained.
Bahamut, ruler of creation through destruction, sought to refine the realm the gods left behind into a richer, more bountiful place.
But the arrival of invaders from beyond the sky—the Astrals—brought an end to his plans.
The Astrals used creatures of terrible power known as primal beasts to bring the sky under their control. Long did the skies belong to the stars.
But the skydwellers bided their time and learned from their foes. Eventually they fought to take back the skies in a conflict that would come to be known as the War.
And here we find the Sky Realm, now a world of fragmented lands floating in a sea of clouds.
A new tale is about to begin here, spanning the skies and the stars alike...
Vyrn: Say, are you serious about leavin' the village?
Vyrn: Sure, your dad wrote about the end of the sky in his letter, but getting there might as well be impossible...
  1. I know we can reach it!
  2. I have a plan.

Choose: I know we can reach it!
Choose: I have a plan.
Vyrn: Oh! You mean with the Sky Map? The thingy the Astrals put together centuries ago?
Vyrn: If we had something like that, we could go anywhere! But you know that map's just something out of a fairy tale...
Vyrn: Real or not, there's no stopping you once you've made up your mind. Beats hanging around this sleepy village anyway!
Gachapin: I really like it here on the island, but going on a journey sounds fun too!
Vyrn: See, Gachapin agrees with me! So I guess we'll start packin' and...
Vyrn: Huh?
Whoa! Hang on a minute! What was that?
Vyrn: That's... a battleship! What's it doing here in the middle of nowhere?
Vyrn: No way! What's going on here? I just heard something explode!
???: ...
  1. I just saw a flash over by the forest...

Choose: I just saw a flash over by the forest...
Gachapin: Do you think it was a part of the ship? It'd be dangerous if the forest caught fire...
Vyrn: Whatever fell from that battleship should be over... here.
Gachapin & ???: Whoa!
Eek!
Mysterious Girl: Ouch...
Mysterious Girl: ...!
Vyrn: Who's the girl? Never seen her around here before.
Mysterious Girl: P-please! S-save me!
Gachapin: What's the matter?
Imperial Soldier: You there! Halt!
Drop your sword! Hands in the air!
Imperial Soldier: If your life means anything to you, you'll cooperate and hand over that girl.
Mysterious Girl: Gasp!
Imperial Soldier: So that's how we're gonna play it, huh? Don't say I didn't warn you!
Gachapin: The girl's in trouble! (Captain), we gotta help her!
The Two: Haaah!
Imperial Soldier: Argh! Why you little...
Vyrn: Betcha weren't expecting that, huh? You're no match for (Captain) and Gachapin when it comes to swordplay!
Knight: Lyria! Are you all right?
Knight: I can't thank you enough for saving Lyria. If you don't mind, could you tell me your names?
  1. (Captain).

Choose: (Captain).
Vyrn: I'm Vyrn!
Gachapin: And I'm Gachapin.
Gachapin: What about you? Who—
???: Lieutenant Katalina. You're the one who spirited her away from the ship, are you not?
Katalina: C-Captain Pommern!
Pommern: To defy the mighty Erste Empire requires profound bravery... and profound stupidity.
Pommern: I do say... I've had quite enough of your insipid drivel. It's time to do what we came here for.
Pommern: Release the Hydra!
Imperial Soldier: Sir!
Hydra: Groooar!
Pommern: Hydra! Dispose of the miserable green moppet! May the tot serve as a fitting example of what happens when you defy the empire!
Gachapin: You mean me?
Hydra: Grrr!
Gachapin: Take this!
Pommern: What's this! Stopping the Hydra with a single blow... The moppet is more trouble than I expected!
Pommern: Save the green twerp for later! We'll get rid of that one first!
Hydra: Groooar!
Gachapin: Watch out!
(Captain): ...!
(Captain): ...
Gachapin: (Captain)! H-hang in there!
Vyrn: Hey, (Captain)! Stop kidding around! Say something! Anything!
Lyria: Everything's... all right...
Vyrn: Look... The shrine's primal crystal is reacting... What is she doing?
Lyria: (Captain)... I bestow my power on you!
Lyria: Primeval dragon...
Lyria: Child of flames and darkness...
Lyria: Thy name is...
Lyria: Bahamut!
Bahamut: Roooar!
Hydra: Gwaarrgh...
Pommern: What? It can't be! How could my beloved Hydra be annihilated with a single attack!
Gachapin: Now's our chance!
Katalina: Lyria! Everyone! We need to get out of here immediately!
Gachapin: Was that... a primal beast?
Katalina: It's Lyria's power. She's the only one who can control them... besides the Astrals.
Gachapin: The wounds healed so fast... Is that part of Lyria's power too?
Lyria: I decided to link our beings... to repay (Captain) for saving me!
Lyria: From now on our souls are permanently intertwined.
Katalina: ...
Vyrn: ...
Gachapin: (Granblue Fantasy!)
Vyrn: Huh? Didja say somethin', Gachapin?
Gachapin: Nope! Nothing at all!
Katalina: It's only a matter of time before they catch up to us.
Katalina: We've no choice but to leave the island! I've prepared a small ship... Will you come with us?
Vyrn: You betcha! Let's go, (Captain)!
Gachapin: It's what you've always dreamed of... We're leaving the island!
Katalina: Let's go. The ship's this way!
Lyria: I guess it's a new beginning for us both then, (Captain)!
Gachapin: Off we go... on a trip through the skies!
Lyria: I can't believe it... I'm on a journey to a new world!
Lyria: With Katalina, Vyrn, Gachapin, (Captain)... and maybe even more people we'll meet along the way.
Gachapin: Maybe we'll make lots of new friends! I can't wait to see who we run into... Let's get this adventure to the end of the sky started!
(Captain)'s soul now one with Lyria's, the time has come to bid farewell to home.
As though sent by (Captain)'s father from the other side of the infinite sky, a gentle blue breeze blows across the young voyager's hair.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 1: All Aboard the Airship - Episode 1

(Captain) and company arrive at Port Breeze in search of a helmsman. A man named Rackam saves them from imperial soldiers, but refuses to join them on their journey when invited to do so.

Having departed Zinkenstill, (Captain) and the others make an emergency landing on a nearby island to prepare for the coming journey.
They visit the highlands in search of a helmsman to join them on their expedition.
???: Oooh, this is so aggravating! Do I really have to be here for this?
Imperial Soldier 1: General Furias, Port Breeze has a history of resisting the empire, you see...
In the highlands, General Furias is in the middle of discussing plans with his army of imperial soldiers.
Furias: So? How fares the plan to deal with those idiot conspirators?
Imperial Soldier 2: Simply give the word, sir, and you'll be audience to the town's magnificent destruction.
Gachapin: ...
Vyrn: H-hey, Gachapin! Your head's stickin' out! They're gonna see us!
Gachapin: What? Really?
Imperial Soldier 2: Over there! It's the girl we held captive and the guard who helped her escape!
Vyrn: Told ya so! Come on, time to run!
Gachapin: I'm sorry my head's so biiig! It's all my faaault!
They begin to run, but find themselves having trouble due to the rocky terrain.
The soldiers are about to catch up when a voice calls out to the crew.
???: Hey, over here! I've got a hideout! I'll take you there, so follow me!
Katalina: We're in your debt...
Rackam: You can say that again! The name's Rackam. How about you?
(Captain) and the others introduce themselves and tell him how they came to be stranded.
Gachapin: So you're Rackam! We need a helmsman, you see.
Gachapin: Hey, why don't you join us?
Rackam: Nope. I'll pass.
Gachapin: Whaaat!
Rackam: I've given up on the sky. I'll never pilot an airship again...
Rackam's expression hardens as he struggles to conceal his true feelings on the matter.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 1: All Aboard the Airship - Episode 2

(Captain) and the others encounter imperial soldiers Sturm and Drang on their way to town, but Gachapin manages to fight them off.

Rackam: The sky's done with me so I'm done with the sky. That's all there is to it.
The Grandcypher—a wrecked airship on the grasslands.
Dreaming of soaring through the skies on the Grandcypher, Rackam had worked on fixing the airship ever since he was little.
Once the repairs were finally complete, Rackam attempted to fly the airship. The Grandcypher soared upward for a brief moment, but all too soon...
Lyria: You crashed... Is that why you gave up on flying?
Rackam: Yeah... Felt like I was betrayed.
Rackam: Anyway, the time for talk is over. You should go warn the town the empire's coming.
The crew part with Rackam and rush to tell the townspeople of the empire's arrival, only to encounter Drang and Sturm.
???: Why, hello there! How are you this lovely day, my dear fugitives?
???: They look fine. They're not even hurt...
Gachapin: Umm, I'm sorry, but we're in a hurry...
???: Humph... You're on your way to warn the town of the empire, aren't you?
???: We'd rather you didn't. It'll be so much easier without their resistance.
Lyria: Eep!
Gachapin: Lyria!
Sturm: You let your guard down. So we'll start with this little brat first...
Rackam: ...
It is then that Rackam makes his reappearance and draws the attention of everyone, including Drang and Sturm...
That is, everyone except one.
Gachapin: Now's our chance! Hah!
Katalina: Follow his lead! We're taking Lyria back!
Drang: Eek! Heeelp!
Sturm: Guess that's as far as we go...
With their mission failed, the two mercenaries retreat and disappear in the blink of an eye.
Rackam: Anyway, are you guys really planning on going to town and fighting the empire?
Gachapin: Yep! This is our chance to take 'em down, once and for all!
Rackam: Looks like I'm with you! Besides, I like the fire in your eyes, (Captain).
With Rackam's decision to join them, (Captain) and the others prepare to fight against the empire.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 1: All Aboard the Airship - Episode 3

With the town weathering strong winds and rain, (Captain) and company attempt to evacuate the townspeople. However, their escape ship is blown up by General Furias of the Erste Empire. They learn that the storm is caused by the primal beast Tiamat and decide to look for her.

(Captain) and the others finally reach the town, only to find it weathering strong winds and rain.
Rackam: What's going on with this rain? I've never seen a storm like this before!
Gachapin: This is bad... We need to help the people get out of here.
However, it appears that the storm is too strong for the average helmsman to fly through.
Sierokarte: Only the best of the best would have a chance...
Gachapin: Rackam, I've got an idea! This could be your chance to fly the Grandcypher!
Gachapin: Take a look at everyone's faces. No one looks worried, do they?
Gachapin: Everyone believes in you. We know you can take us through the storm, Rackam!
Rackam: You're right. Everyone's already prepared for the worst. I can't chicken out here!
(Captain), Rackam, and the others decide to lead the townspeople to an escape airship.
Rackam: This is one weird storm... You know, there's actually a guardian deity of sorts called Tiamat on this island.
Katalina: It sounds like a primal beast. Maybe Tiamat has something to do with the storm.
As they ponder over this, they reach the escape ship. However, they are met with an unexpected surprise.
Lyria: Watch out!
Gachapin: Whoooa! The airship just exploded!
Furias: Ha-ha-ha! Wonderful! I just love the expressions of utter disbelief on your faces!
Furias: That's right! I blew it up! That precious airship of yours is nothing but flotsam now! Ha-ha-ha!
Gachapin: Wh-why would you do that?
Furias: Don't you get it? You must have an inkling... I'm talking about Tiamat! The guardian of this island!
Furias: Let's just say... our handiwork has sent her into a massive rampage!
Rackam: Do you have any idea how many innocent lives will be lost?
Furias: Who knows? But if you idiots love these islands enough to resist the empire...
Furias: Then I imagine you'll be happy plunging to the bottom of the skies with it!
(Captain) and company dodge the incoming soldiers and realize that they have no choice but to turn back and take shelter in town.
Rackam: Dang it! Is this really the end? Is there nothing else we can do?
Lyria: There's still hope... There is something we can do. I have the power... to command primal beasts.
Vyrn: ...!
Rackam: ...!
Gachapin: ...!
Lyria: Let's go, Rackam. We've got to stop Tiamat, the primal beast of wind!
Shocked at Lyria's revelation, they soon learn that this mysterious power was one of the reasons the empire had kept Lyria prisoner.
They have no choice but to rely on that same power to stop Tiamat in her rampage.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - All Aboard the Airship

The Grandcypher successfully soars into the sky with (Captain) and company on board. After a fierce battle with Tiamat, they manage to calm the primal beast down. Rackam decides to join the crew as their helmsman.

Sensing Tiamat's presence, Lyria leads the group to the grasslands where the Grandcypher rests.
They search the area, but find nothing besides the dormant airship.
Gachapin: Hmm... No sign of Tiamat.
Lyria: This is just an idea, but... do you think it's possible that Tiamat is above us?
Katalina: You mean up in the sky? That's beyond our reach... I can't believe we've come this far just to hit a dead end.
Gachapin: I'm sure there's still a way! Right, Rackam?
Rackam: You betcha! Everyone, board the Grandcypher!
They follow Rackam's instructions and clamber on board the Grandcypher. Rackam grips the helm tightly.
Rackam: Sorry to keep you waiting, but I'm back now... And I'm following your lead into the sky!
Gachapin: Ooh, we're moving!
The Grandcypher soars majestically into the sky. Once airborne, the group spots something hovering ahead of them.
Tiamat: Gragh... Raghhh!
Gachapin: So this is Tiamat?
Lyria: Oh no... She's practically lost her senses! I can't believe she was pushed this far.
Rackam: Tiamat... Let's do this fair and square! Whether you're a god or a primal beast or whatever! No holding back!
Tiamat: Grr... Raaaaghhh!
(Captain) and the others steel themselves for a showdown against Tiamat to bring her back to her senses.
Wild with rage, Tiamat unleashes her full power on them.
Rackam: Ergh...
Vyrn: Rackam! You okay?
Rackam: Yeah... What about Tiamat?
Lyria: Everything's going to be all right. I absorbed Tiamat's overflowing energy.
Rackam: Heh... Geez, what a handful! Ouch...
Rackam: Dang it... Looks like I've cracked a few bones. My arms and legs just won't budge...
Rackam: At this rate, I won't be able to take the helm! The Grandcypher's gonna...
Gachapin: Don't worry!
Vyrn: Huh?
Gachapin: Don't worry about the ship! You've got me at the helm!
Rackam: Gachapin!
Gachapin: I kinda wanted to try steering the ship someday, so I watched reeeally closely when you were doing it! Heheh.
Gachapin: With the storm gone, I think I can take the wheel. I just have to head for that castle over there, right?
Rackam: Heh heh...
Vyrn: Huh? Rackam?
Rackam: Hahahaha! Geez... You lot are crazy! You've got me!
Rackam: You're right... There's no need to be all down and out over steering the ship.
Rackam: All right, then it's settled! I'm comin' with you guys on your journey through the sky!
Vyrn: Really!
Rackam: Besides, the Grandcypher seems to have taken a liking to (Captain) and Gachapin.
Soon after, (Captain) receives a letter from Sturm and Drang. The crew decides to follow the letter and pay a visit to the Valtz Duchy.
With a new member along for the ride, (Captain) and company set off for their next destination in good spirits.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 2: Gachapin Saves the Day - Episode 1

At the Valtz Duchy, the crew receives a request to search for the missing archduke Tzaka. They manage to locate him with the help of his apprentice Io. Gachapin takes down the primal beast Colossus, and Io joins the crew.

Arriving at the Valtz Duchy, (Captain) and company take on a request to search for an archduke who has gone missing.
The crew explore the industrial Draph town, admiring the red earth and rows of steelwork factories lining the streets.
Gachapin: Guys, do you feel that!
Katalina: Someone's following us. They appear to be using magic to stay hidden...
???: ...
Gachapin: I'm Gachapin! Who are you?
???: ...!
H-how'd you sneak up behind me!
???: What's with this bubbly green thing anyway! Ever hear of a little something called personal space?
Katalina: There, there. So you're the one who was following us.
Katalina: My name's Katalina. And this is Gachapin.
Gachapin: Gacha gacha pin pin, I'm Gachapin! What's your name?
Io: Io... My name is Io.
Io: I'm on a search for the missing archduke... I'm his apprentice.
Gachapin: We're looking for him too! Our crew was asked to find the archduke.
Gachapin: Hey, why don't you come with us? I'm sure we'll find him right away if we look together!
Io joins (Captain) and the others in their search, and they soon locate the archduke's whereabouts.
They rush to the archduke's location.
Colossus: ...
Tzaka the Great: You've arrived at last, I see. This foolish disciple of mine...
Io: What are you doing, Master? Let's go home! Together!
Tzaka the Great: My brethren served the Astrals and created primal beasts here. Their descendants eventually stole the technology of the Astrals and made it their own.
Tzaka the Great: This iron giant is a remnant of the dream they shared to fly the flag of rebellion and take back what was rightfully theirs.
Tzaka the Great: Colossus... A primal beast forged in steel to deliver my people from bondage!
Tzaka the Great: I will finish what they started by breathing the breath of life into it... at any cost!
Gachapin: You shouldn't do that! This can't be the right thing to do!
Tzaka the Great: This is revenge. It's not about whether this is right or wrong...
Gachapin: But look at your apprentice. She's sad!
Gachapin: You've made such a little girl cry... That just can't be right!
Tzaka the Great: B-but...
Gachapin: Besides—
Io: He's right, Master! The nightmare is over... It's time to wake up!
Colossus: ...!
Tzaka the Great: Oho... You've awakened at last, my precious Colossus!
Lyria: Look out!
Colossus: ...!
Colossus swings its giant blade, bringing it down onto the ground. The entire cave shakes violently.
Rackam: Whoa, okay, it's strong! This might be a little outta our league!
Gachapin: Haaah!
Colossus: ...
Gachapin: All right! That's the end of it! Come on, Mister Tzaka. Let's go home.
Tzaka the Great: My dream... My giant... It's all gone...
Tzaka the Great: Oof!
Vyrn: Looks like he fainted...
Io: Master... Erm... I'm sorry.
After sleeping for three days straight following the incident, the archduke smiles gently as he awakens from the ordeal, almost as if he's a completely different person.
Tzaka the Great: I've put you all through so much. I can offer nothing but apologies.
Lyria: I'm so happy your teacher is back, Io.
Io: Lyria, (Captain), Gachapin... Thank you so much... Sniff...
It is now clear that the Erste Empire was the one responsible for manipulating the archduke and bringing about the incident on Valtz.
As for Sturm, Drang, and their accomplice the Black Knight, their actions remain nothing but a mystery.
Io: Right! I've decided, (Captain)... I'm coming with you!
Tzaka the Great: Apparently, the agents from the empire are trying to do something on Auguste.
Tzaka the Great: Many dangers lie ahead... Please take care of Io for me.
(Captain)'s journey now leads the crew to Auguste, the island of water, where new encounters await.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 2: Gachapin Saves the Day - Episode 2

On the island of Auguste, (Captain) and company encounter the Black Knight and a man called Eugen, who asks to join them on their journey. The crew learns that there is another girl like Lyria who possesses the power to control primal beasts.

(Captain) and company arrive at the Auguste Isles to further investigate the empire's shifty operations.
They arrive to find a beautiful, scenic island overflowing with crystal clear water.
Io: Wow! Wow! What is this? Why is there water everywhere? Is this the... ocean?
Rackam: Hey, kid, could you take it down a couple notches? Or don't. Just don't come crying to me if you get lost.
Gachapin: ...
Rackam: Hey, what's wrong, Gachapin? I've seen you livelier than that.
Gachapin: Looking at the pretty waves kinda reminds me of something...
Io: Reminds you of what? Have you been to Auguste before, Gachapin?
Vyrn: Pretty sure he hasn't. Right, (Captain)?
Vyrn: Until we met Lyria, the three of us had never left Zinkenstill before...
Gachapin: R-right... That's weird...
Katalina: In any case, there's no need to push yourself. Stay on the ship and get some rest.
Katalina: In the meantime, we'll go gather some information and replenish our supplies.
Gachapin: Thanks, Katalina. I'll go back to my room and take a nap then.
Along the way, (Captain) and company encounter Eugen, an old friend of Rackam's.
According to Eugen, the Erste Empire's development of weapons for war has led to the pollution of the sea, and local authorities are fighting against them to put a stop to it.
Although Eugen appears to share some connection with the Black Knight, he is reluctant to elaborate. However, he eventually turns to (Captain).
Eugen: Would you mind taking an old man like myself along with you on your journey? I won't slow you down. Promise.
Rackam: Eugen's worth a hundred men, (Captain)!
But their joy in welcoming a new member on board is short-lived, and soon they find themselves within the clutches of the empire once again.
Pommern: Well, well! This is our first encounter since Zinkenstill, you vile turncoats!
Katalina: Captain Pommern?
Pommern: You made quite the mess of things last time we met! And now, you shall pay!
Pommern: I'll perform your last rites myself!
Vyrn: What the? He just transformed!
Pommern: This is what the empire has been working toward... Behold the power of dark essence!
Eugen: What in the skies... So the empire's been moldin' a monster like this the whole time...
Pommern: Bweheheh... Now, for your insolence in defying the almighty empire, you shall—
???: Guuuys!
Vyrn: Huh?
???: Hey, guys!
Io: Is that... Gachapin's voice?
Katalina: Where is it coming from?
Vyrn: Huh? Over there! It's Gachapin!
Gachapin: Guuuys!
Gachapin: Sorry I'm...
Gachapin: Laaate!
Gachapin: Found you!
Eugen: Whoa, whoa... What is that? Don't tell me the empire had more up its sleeve...
Rackam: No worries there. Gacha gacha pin pin, it's Gachapin. Friend of ours.
Gachapin: Whoohoooo! Yeeeah!
Eugen: Catchin' that big wave like he was born to do it... I have to say, I've never seen anyone ride a wave that smooth!
Gachapin barrels in with a dynamic spray of water and heads straight for Pommern.
Pommern: ...!
Gachapin: Take this!
Pommern: Grgh!
Pommern: Y-you again! The green fiiilth!
Pommern: W-we'll retreat for today... But next time will be the last! Prepare yourselves to meet your maker!
Spitting out these last words, Pommern flees from the crew at the speed of light.
Eugen: Oi! Called yourself Gachapin, didja? I'm Eugen.
Eugen: That was quite the remarkable cruise! Best one I've seen in the past ten years or so, I'd say.
Gachapin: Thanks! I saw the huge wave and just knew I had to ride it!
Vyrn: That was amazing, Gachapin! But where'd ya learn to do somethin' like that?
Gachapin: Well... I don't really know how I did it either...
Katalina: Gachapin. You weren't feeling very well earlier—are you better now?
Gachapin: Oh, yep, I'm fine! I kept trying to remember but nothing came to mind, so I'm just gonna forget about it! Heheh!
After that, the crew manages to appease the rampant Leviathan, the primal beast that protects Auguste.
However, just as Lyria is about to absorb Leviathan's power, something unexpected happens.
Black Knight: My apologies, but I'm taking some of that power for my friend here.
???: Mmm... I'm starving...
Vyrn: What's going on here? She can do the same crazy stuff Lyria can?
Black Knight: If you wish to know more, come to the Lumacie Archipelago.
The Black Knight turns her back on the crew and leaves, taking the mysterious girl with her.
(Captain) and company decide to visit the Lumacie Archipelago in hopes of learning more about Lyria and the mysterious girl who possesses the same power as her.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 2: Gachapin Saves the Day - Episode 3

At the Lumacie Archipelago, the crew meets a mysterious woman named Rosetta and helps to calm the rampaging primal beast Yggdrasil. Suddenly, a furry, red soldier from the empire appears and requests the crew's presence at a peace talk at the Albion Citadel.

Following the Black Knight's advice, the crew arrives at the Lumacie Archipelago.
A mysterious woman appears, catching (Captain) and company completely off guard.
???: Why hello! Do you have a moment?
Vyrn: Whoa! Who are you? And where did you come from?
Rosetta: My name is Rosetta, and I'm here on a teensy-tiny errand of sorts.
Rosetta: But this forest is quite dangerous, you see. I was hoping it might be possible to place myself in your care...
Gachapin: Yeah, sure!
Rosetta: Huh? O-oh... Are you sure?
Vyrn: See! She was obviously actin' all shady, but you agreed to take her in just like that. Now she feels awkward!
Gachapin: But if she was from the empire, she probably wouldn't come up and talk to us like this.
Eugen: He has a point... Those guys definitely wouldn't come waltzin' up to us.
Gachapin: See? No problems then, right, (Captain)?
And so Rosetta joins the crew as they continue their trek into the depths of the forest, defeating monsters along the way.
Rosetta: (Captain)! I see you're much more skilled than you appear. I think I'll stick close to you!
Rosetta: And as for you... Gachapin, you said your name was?
Rosetta: That mysterious green hue you give off is certainly charming.
Gachapin: That's a really nice thing to say!
Gachapin: Wait a second... Is that the Knickknack Shack?
At the Knickknack Shack they find in the middle of the forest, the crew encounter the mysterious girl named Orchis once again.
Lyria, Io, and Gachapin take this opportunity to get to know Orchis better. However, the Black Knight is not so keen on getting along.
Black Knight: Arise, primal beast Yggdrasil. Give them a taste of your overwhelming might!
Yggdrasil: ...
The crew manage to soothe Yggdrasil in her rampage.
But by the time they realize it, the Black Knight and Orchis are nowhere to be found.
Vyrn: Orchis and the Black Knight must've flown off somewhere else...
Lyria: Orchis...
Gachapin: Hm? Hey, look over there. Is that an imperial battleship?
An imperial battleship suddenly appears, and the crew scramble to ready themselves for an attack.
Instead of opening fire, however, the airship sends an envoy with a rather strange proposal.
Katalina: Hold on... You want to settle this peacefully?
Furry Red Soldier: That's right. We wanna find a middle ground for going forward, yah see.
Gachapin: ...
Io: I think we need a little more time to think about this...
Furry Red Soldier: Major General Furias is waiting at the nearby island of Albion Citadel, yah see.
Furry Red Soldier: We're gonna explain everything in more detail there, yah see.
Katalina: Did you say... Albion?
Lyria: Are you okay, Katalina? Your face looks white as a sheet.
Katalina: I'm fine... I knew this day would come.
Having relayed the simple message, the hairy red envoy boards the battleship.
With no other choice left to them, (Captain) and the crew depart for Albion Citadel, hoping to uncover the intent behind the empire's offer.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 2: Gachapin Saves the Day - Episode 4

At Albion, (Captain) and company discover that the peace talk was something schemed by Vira, an old acquaintance of Katalina's. With the help of Gachapin, they overcome the primal beast Luminiera and head to Golonzo Island in hopes of repairing the Grandcypher.

At the Albion Citadel, (Captain) and company receive a warm welcome from Vira, whom Katalina had once attended the Albion Military Academy with.
As the current Lord Commander of Albion, Vira takes the crew to see Furias.
The peace negotiations with Furias end without a hitch, and the crew is officially free to fly without further pursuit from the empire.
But the next morning, the crew finds Katalina gone with only a farewell letter left behind.
Lyria: I don't understand... Why? Why would Katalina leave?
Gachapin: Let's go find her! We don't wanna say bye to Katalina, do we?
Eugen: People don't just disappear in a puff of smoke. The Lord Commander should know who's comin' and going on this island.
Eugen: Besides, she and Katalina go way back, don't they? Let's go ask Miss Lord Commander a few questions and get ourselves some clues.
(Captain) and company search for Vira in hopes of getting a hint on the true reason behind Katalina's departure.
Monster: Groooar!
Rackam: Tch, incoming monster! We don't have time for this!
Gachapin: Haaah!
Eugen: Whoa! We've got one over here too!
Monster: Groooar!
Gachapin: Raaah!
Vyrn: Hey, a mons—
Gachapin: Eee-yah!
All Three: ...
Gachapin: Come on, guys! We gotta hurry and find Katalina!
Vyrn: Y-yeah... Let's go! Nice one back there!
Thanks to Gachapin's swift moves, the path is clear and the crew continue on their way to look for Vira.
Vira: So Katalina's gone, you say...
Vira: Very well. Perhaps I can help clear things up.
Vira: Allow me to tell you the true intentions behind the peace negotiations... and the choice Katalina made.
However, what Vira tells the crew is a mixture of truth and lies.
As it turns out, this is all a part of Vira's plan for Katalina to stay by her side.
Determined to take back Katalina, (Captain) and the others confront Vira and the primal beast of Albion.
Gachapin: Hyaaah!
Vira: How can this be...
Vira: I was defeated by this... unidentified green object?
Katalina: Vira...
Rackam: Still, she's kind of amazing... Never known anyone to fight using a primal beast.
Gachapin: But I'm really glad Katalina's back with u—
Rackam: What was that? Are we under attack?
Vyrn: Wait! Could it be the empire that's attacking us?
As they hurriedly board the Grandcypher, the attacking battleship points its huge cannons at the island.
Lyria: I sense a primal beast on that battleship that's carrying the weapons!
The crew realizes Luminiera has taken over the empire's weapons as its next host.
Rackam: Dang it... Now it's pointing them this way. It's firing from too far away—we won't be able to dodge it!
Lyria: What should we do, (Captain)?
  1. Full speed ahead!
  2. I have no idea...

Choose: Full speed ahead!
Rackam: Full speed ahead? Ha-ha! Well, it's not like we could outrun it anyway!

Choose: I have no idea...
Gachapin: Don't worry! You're the captain, (Captain)! I know you'll make the right choice.
(Captain) thinks for a moment before instructing them to move forward.
Rackam: Ha-ha! Well, it's not like we could outrun it anyway!
Continue 1
Rackam: All right! Let's take them out!
Gachapin: Okay! Then I'll use this and make an opening for us!
Rackam: Huh? What the heck is that!
Gachapin: This'll definitely be faster than an airship! It's smaller too, so it can make tighter turns...
Gachapin: I'll jump on the battleship and distract them, so you guys use this chance to bring the Grandcypher in for the offense!
Rackam: Hey, Gachapin! What're you...
Gachapin: Here I gooo!
Gachapin: Yeeeah! Whoooo!
Lyria: Wow... Gachapin's flying! Just like a bird!
Io: Whoa! Gachapin... Just who in the skies is he?
Rackam: He's one crazy guy, that's for sure! But now that he's created a distraction, we're going in too! Come on!
The crew steers the Grandcypher straight into the battleship and destroys the weapons.
Their plan runs smoothly, and Albion is freed from the threat of the empire.
Rackam: Sheesh... Glad that's settled. But we really pushed the Grandcypher hard this time...
Eugen: You got that right... Looks like we'll have to take it to Golonzo Island for repairs.
Eugen: Thing is, I heard somewhere that the empire's also headin' toward Golonzo...
Vyrn: Guess we'll hafta just go there and see! Either way, we gotta get the Grandcypher fixed!
They all breathe a sigh of relief as the incident at Albion is finally wrapped up thanks to Gachapin's quick thinking.
And with that, (Captain) and the crew set a course for Golonzo in hopes of repairing the Grandcypher.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 3: Gachapin Keeps Saving the Day - Episode 1

(Captain) and the crew are met by Pommern and Prime Minister Freesia at Golonzo. The two attempt to kidnap Lyria, but are thwarted by Gachapin. Gachapin begins to have the feeling that he has met the furry, red soldier somewhere before.

(Captain) and company set off for Golonzo, where the Grandcypher can be repaired.
But a thick fog suddenly appears, blocking visibility all around them. The ship's power unit begins to die out, forcing them to make a crash landing.
Gachapin: Is this Golonzo?
Rackam: No... Where are we?
Lyria: I can sense a primal beast on the island.
They come across a village on the island, only to find that its inhabitants have long passed away and become friendly zombies.
The villagers tell the crew that a young girl on the island may have something to do with the primal beast. The crew decides to visit the girl at her mansion.
Vyrn: The primal beast Celeste... So that's what turned the villagers into zombies and is keepin' us from leaving the island?
???: Yes. Once Celeste is driven away, you should be able to leave the island.
The crew discovers that the girl is a ghost who has long forgotten her name.
The girl then receives a new name—Ferry.
Io: If Celeste goes away, that means you and the villagers...
Ferry: We'll probably disappear. But the current situation is against nature. I'll just be returning the island to its natural state.
Gachapin: Its natural state...
Vyrn: Huh? What's the matter, Gachapin?
Gachapin: Oh, never mind. It's nothing.
After a fierce battle with Celeste, the crew manages to take down the primal beast.
Celeste: ...
Io: No way... Didn't we just defeat it?
As it turns out, the crew had been fighting against something similar to a shadow. The real Celeste, however, remains unscathed.
Vyrn: So we hafta defeat the real one... Guess we'd better start looking!
Rackam: All right, I'll take a look over there.
Eugen: Then I'll take this side.
(Captain) and company split up and begin to search the island for the real Celeste.
They ask the zombie villagers to help in their search.
Monster: ...!
Ferry: Yes... Ah, I see. Thanks!
After conversing with her pet monsters, Ferry turns to (Captain).
Ferry: It seems a ghost ship was spotted near that cliff in the distance! Let's go!
Io: Right up ahead! That's where the real Celeste is!
Vyrn: Who was it that found Celeste anyway?
???: Guuuys... Guuuys!
Vyrn: Huh? That voice...
Io: I'm pretty sure I know who found it...
Lyria: But where could he be? I hear Gachapin, but I don't see him anywhere...
Io: Wait! Over there!
Io stands on the edge of the cliff and points to something that catches the rest of the crew by surprise.
Gachapin: I'm heeere!
Vyrn: Wha! He's clingin' to the side of the cliff!
Lyria: Eep! Gachapin, it's dangerous over there!
Gachapin: I found Celeste!
Celeste: ...
Vyrn: Whoa, it really is Celeste!
Lyria: G-Gachapin! We see it, so you can come back now!
Gachapin: Okay, here I come!
Gachapin: But I have to move slooowly in case I fall... Whoooa...
Io: Eek! H-hey, be careful there!
Lyria: Ooh... Just watching makes me nervous!
Vyrn: Be real careful... One wrong step and you're a goner!
Thanks to Gachapin once again, the crew finds the real Celeste and successfully defeats it.
Gentle rays of sunlight break through the mist shrouding the island. As Ferry watches, her expression softens.
Ferry: With Celeste gone, the villagers have all disappeared... Everyone except me.
Ferry: This must mean that I still have a part to play. So I'll remain here in this world... I'm not going away.
Ferry: All of you helped me so much. Thank you.
(Captain) and company smile over their strange yet precious encounter on this island they had landed on by chance.
They set off into the skies once more and continue on toward the island of Golonzo.
Rackam: Well, there was a slight detour, but looks like we managed to make it here in one piece thanks to the Grandcypher.
Rackam and Eugen reveal their history with Golonzo as they recognize familiar faces among the locals in town.
Gachapin: Rackam! Eugen! Umm, do you think they'll have some leftover materials for me to use?
Eugen: Golonzo is famous for repairin' airships, so there's bound to be some odds and ends you can take.
Rackam: Are you makin' something again? Don't tell me you're gonna build another one of those gliders.
Gachapin: Heheh... It's something different this time, but just as cool!
Eugen: Hey! Happen to have any bits and pieces you can spare for this guy?
Shipwright: Of course. Here, take all you need!
The man Eugen called out to shows his supply of materials. After rummaging for a while, Gachapin takes a few things and disappears.
Rackam: Five whole days for the repairs... Sigh...
Eugen: That's what we get for overworkin' the poor ship.
???: The Grandcypher can't leave this island right now.
Eugen: What?
???: Oh my, Eugen, you haven't changed a bit. Oh, and Rackam, it's been quite a long time.
Rackam: Huh? Sorry, but do I know you?
???: No matter what you do to the Grandcypher, it won't be able to leave the island. So long as the promise remains unfulfilled.
Io: What's that s'posed to mean?
Just as the crew is about to press the boy for an explanation, someone interrupts their conversation.
Freesia: I am Freesia von Bismarck, Prime Minister of the Erste Empire.
Freesia: The Erste Empire demands that you and your riffraff return our research property. Hand over Lyria.
Katalina: The Prime Minister... And Pommern...
Pommern: I do say, it has been a while...
Freesia: We shall take custody of this boy, who seems to know so much about you. Take him away!
Furry Red Soldier: Yes ma'am!
???: Now isn't this an irritating predicament.
Furry Red Soldier: Now, this way, yah.
???: Hm? It seems... you've boarded the wrong ship.
Furry Red Soldier: Wha? Are you talking to me? What do you mean?
???: Never mind. Things will settle into place when the time comes.
The red-haired soldier tilts his head in confusion before leading the mysterious boy away.
Io: Hey! Wait a minute!
Pommern: No, I'll have you wait!
Blocking their path, Pommern takes out a small amount of dark essence.
Pommern: Well then, I'll have you pay for what you did last time!
Rackam: Ugh... Didn't you say the same kinda crap back in Auguste? Didn't matter then, and it doesn't matter now!
Pommern: It will certainly matter once I defeat you! Although I highly doubt you'd still be alive by then!
Eugen: Ergh...
Io: Wait a minute! Was he this strong last time?
Pommern: What's this? It seems to me you have one missing from your company... Where could he have gone?
Vyrn: Say what?
Pommern: The green slop... Where is heeeee!
Gachapin's Voice: I'm right here!
Pommern: ...!
Vyrn: G-Gachapin!
Rackam: Whoa! The heck is that?
Gachapin: I took the scraps of material...
Gachapin: And made this!
Gachapin: Pretty cool, right?
Gachapin: Yeeeah!
Pommern: Wh-what! What is that abominable vehicle?
Gachapin: Haaah!
Pommern: Eeek!
Riding on an outlandish vehicle, Gachapin charges straight into Pommern at full speed.
Pommern is sent flying into the air before hitting the ground with a loud thud.
Pommern: Yooou again... Detestable green slime! You must enjoy gloating at my surprise each time you show yourself in front of meee!
Gachapin: Huh? I didn't really think about that...
Pommern: Next time... The next time we meet, your lives will be forfeit!
Pommern retreats out of sight, and the crew manages to save the mysterious boy from the empire's clutches.
Eugen: Another unique invention you've got there, Gachapin...
Gachapin: Isn't it great? This makes it really easy to get around!
Shipwright: Hey, that kind of looks like something called the gearcycle... It's a vehicle that's widely used on another island.
Eugen: Oho... And Gachapin thought this up all by himself, huh?
Rackam: You're one heck of a guy, Gachapin. This thing's only got two wheels, but you were killin' it.
Gachapin: The thing is, I feel like I've ridden something like this before...
Vyrn: Lookin' at you ride that thing has me itchin' to give it a try too!
Vyrn: Hey, Gachapin, let me—
Vyrn is interrupted by the mysterious boy, however, who decides to reveal his identity to the crew.
Noa: I am Noa, a primal beast who specializes in shipmaking and the creator of the Grandcypher.
Rackam: Wha!
The primal beast Noa explains that he once made a promise with Rackam when Rackam was only a child.
Unless that promise is fulfilled, the Grandcypher will not be able to leave Golonzo.
The reason for this lies with Mithra, a primal beast who rules over promises.
Rackam: That's right... I promised Noa that I'd fly with him on the Grandcypher.
Eugen: So that's how it is... And your promise became an iron rule through the power of Mithra.
Noa: I'm so glad you remembered our promise. I'll lend my powers for the repairs. The ship will be as good as new—or I'm not the primal beast of shipbuilding.
With the help of the primal beast, the Grandcypher is repaired and ready to fly again.
The crew laugh and sigh with relief—all except Gachapin, who is quietly lost in thought.
Thinking back to the furry, red imperial soldier, Gachapin is overcome with the feeling that he had met the soldier somewhere before.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 3: Gachapin Keeps Saving the Day - Episode 2

Back in Agastia, Pommern seethes with rage as he thinks about Gachapin. He asks the furry, red soldier Mukku if his memories have come back, but Mukku is still unable to produce any clues, save the strange feeling he has whenever Gachapin appears.

At the heart of the empire sits a single man, burning with hatred as he thinks back to his last encounter with (Captain) and the crew.
Pommern: What exactly is that despicable green vermin... Gachapin, they called him. Everything about him irritates me to no end...
Pommern: Ouuuch! That fall back there certainly gave my poor bottom more than it deserved...
Mukku: Sir, please calm down. You must rest, yah see.
Pommern: Ouch... Speaking of which, Mukku—have you remembered anything of your past?
Mukku: Nothing yet, I'm afraid... After you went through all the trouble of bringing me out with you on your expeditions...
Pommern: I thought the experiences may perhaps trigger something in your memory, but it seems we were too optimistic.
Pommern: Not to mention, you're completely useless in battle. Be grateful that exceptionally soft pelage of yours buys you a spot in my army.
Mukku: Thank you, Captain Pommern! Soon all of Phantagrande will know of your kindness, yah see.
Fellow Soldier: Yo, Mukku. Any luck on gettin' your memories back?
Mukku: Hello. Hmm... I wouldn't say they're back yet, but...
Mukku: When I saw the green creature from earlier, it reminded me of something... but I can't quite put my finger on it, yah see.
Fellow Soldier: Gachapin, was it? The one Captain Pommern's so fixated on...
Fellow Soldier: Sheesh, goin' through all this trouble just for one puny crew... I thought the empire could do better than this.
Mukku: Hey now, the Erste Empire's just getting started, yah see!
Fellow Soldier: Huh... Yeah, you're right! You'll take 'em down next time, won't ya?
Mukku: Of course!
It is with this determination that the imperial army heads out to battle once more.
However, things don't go as expected.
Gachapin: Take that!
Pommern: Rrraaaaagh!
The Two: ...
Pommern: I won't forget thiiis!
Gachapin: Yaaay! We did it!
Vyrn: Heheh. Gachapin, you're really on top of the game! That's another win for us!
The crew cheer over their victory.
With Pommern promptly defeated by Gachapin once again, the imperial troops have no choice but to withdraw from their final battle on Amalthea Island.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 3: Gachapin Keeps Saving the Day - Episode 3

Mukku thinks about why he feels happy whenever he sees Gachapin saving the day. A soldier comes to report to Pommern that they have retrieved a round object from Gachapin's arm that seems to emit a strong energy.

Pommern: Curses! Just you wait, Gachapin... Next time, I will most definitely tear you into a million pieces!
Mukku: Gachapin is really something, yah see!
Pommern: ...!
My ears must have failed me for a second. What did you just say?
Mukku: Oooh... My mistake! What I meant was... Gachapin is really a handful, yah see, and in a very bad way at that...
Pommern: Hmph!
Fellow Soldier: Hey... Somethin' wrong? Don't slip up like that, man.
Mukku: I apologize... It's just that when I see Gachapin being so brave and saving his friends like that, I feel kind of...
A feeling of happiness blooms inside Mukku.
Just as Mukku is wondering why he feels that way, a soldier bursts into the room and salutes the raging Pommern.
Soldier: Captain Pommern! We found this during the battle on Amalthea Island!
Pommern: This is from the green vermin...
Soldier: It was something attached to Gachapin's arm. It appears to be a circular... A circular... object!
Soldier: Your hit knocked it off his arm, sir. We retrieved it and had our intelligence unit examine the object.
Pommern: Hmph, looks like our attack was not for nothing after all... What have you found from your examination of it?
Soldier: According to our research unit, it seems the object continuously emits a powerful energy...
Pommern: Oh?
Pommern takes the object from the soldier and stares intently at it. A wicked smile spreads slowly across his face.
Pommern: Well, this could be useful...
Mukku: I've got a bad feeling, yah!
Mukku shudders as a cold, unsettling air envelops the empire.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 3: Gachapin Keeps Saving the Day - Episode 4

The crew visits the Lumacie Archipelago again to save the kidnapped Orchis from Freesia. With Yggdrasil Malice defeated, Freesia flies into a rage and unleashes Akasha, leaving the crew with no choice but to retreat from the island.

Separated from the Black Knight, the girl Orchis is held captive by Prime Minister Freesia.
The crew follows the information they receive and arrives at Lumacie to save Orchis.
However, this only leads them to fall straight into Freesia's trap.
Black Knight: Just what are you plotting, Freesia?
Freesia: I wish for nothing more than a proper world. A world restored to its former order.
Gachapin: Its former... order?
Vyrn: Huh? Hey, what's wrong, Gachapin?
Gachapin: I'm starting to remember something...
Vyrn: Wha, again? Come on, at a time like this?
Gachapin: You're right... Sorry...
Freesia: My deepest desire is the revival of the Erste Kingdom—using Akasha's power to change history.
Black Knight: Akasha! Don't be a fool... Are you saying it actually exists?
Io: Wait, what exactly is an Akasha?
Black Knight: Supposedly it was created by the Astrals near the end of the War to be their ultimate weapon.
Black Knight: It is a primal beast with the power to interfere with history itself, a power to rewrite the world as we know it.
Gachapin: Change history... A power to rewrite the world...
To use the power of the primal beast Akasha to erase the history of the Astrals' invasion and restore the Erste Kingdom.
That is Freesia's ultimate goal.
As it turns out, both Lyria and Orchis are needed in order to activate Akasha.
Freesia: Let's wrap up the chitchat here. I'm going to use Malice.
Soldier: P-please wait! We will handle the ruffians, so, I beg you... Please refrain from using Malice!
Freesia: Your efforts will only prove to be futile. I never expected much from any of you.
Soldier: M-ma'am...
Freesia: Now, awaken—Yggdrasil Malice!
Yggdrasil Malice: ...!
Black Knight: What is that?
Freesia: This is the epitome of our research on dark essence! This primal beast is completely under my control!
Io: Is it just me or does that look... really strong?
Soldier: Aaaah!
Rackam: Even their soldiers are freakin' out! Just how bad is this thing?
Gachapin: Hmm... Its former order... A power to rewrite the world...
Vyrn: Gachapin! It's dangerous over there!
Gachapin: Mm... Just a second... I'm trying to remember...
Lyria: Gachapin, hurry! This way!
Gachapin: Hmm... Hmmmm...
Yggdrasil Malice: ...!
Overhead, Yggdrasil Malice unleashes a powerful attack that heads straight for Gachapin.
Gachapin: Cut it out!
Freesia: What!
Gachapin: I feel like something's coming to me, so just wait, okay!
Yggdrasil Malice: ...!
With its attack absently deflected by Gachapin, Yggdrasil Malice recoils.
Eugen: What in the skies!
Io: This just might work out after all!
Gachapin: Huh? Wait, what just happened?
Vyrn: Well, how should I put it... Glad you're still alive, buddy!
Lyria: I'm glad you're okay!
Freesia: Tha... Tha... Thaaa!
The Three: Tha?
Freesia: That's where you're supposed to lose! That's how things usually go, don't they!
Freesia flies into a rage. Using the dark essence, she directs Leviathan and Mithra to attack the crew.
It is then that something unexpected happens.
Lyria: ...!
Orchis: I request, under protocol of Arcus, the activation of the primal beast Akasha.
Lyria: Administrative authentication complete. Request to activate the primal beast Akasha accepted.
Vyrn: Hey, Lyria! What's the matter with you?
Lyria: Transferring full administrative privileges from Byleistr Arcus...
Complete.
Lyria: Activating the primal beast Akasha.
Akasha: ...
Freesia: This is Akasha...
Gachapin: ...!
Io: Wow! Wow! What is this? Why is there water everywhere? Is this the... ocean?
Ferry: We'll probably disappear. But the current situation is against nature. I'll just be returning the island to its natural state.
Freesia: I wish for nothing more than a proper world. A world restored to its former order.
Furry Red Soldier: That's right. We wanna find a middle ground for going forward, yah see.
Rackam: Hey, Gachapin! Get ahold of yourself!
Gachapin: Huh? What? What's going on?
Rackam: We definitely don't want to be messin' with Yggdrasil Malice... And I'll bet that Akasha's no joke either!
Vyrn: Lyria's back to normal! Let's take this chance and get outta here!
Gachapin: Y-yeah!
Rosetta: I'm sorry. I can't go with everyone...
Rosetta: Yggdrasil has been overloaded with power from dark essence... Someone ought to be at her side...
Rosetta: You all have the power to save her. Vyrn, that includes you.
Vyrn: Huh! What am I s'posed to do?
The crew has no choice but to board the Grandcypher and watch as Rosetta's figure grows smaller and smaller.
The Grandcypher soars above the Lumacie Archipelago, barely escaping by the skin of its teeth.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 4: Furry Frenzy - Episode 1

(Captain) and the others return to Zinkenstill in hopes of learning more about Vyrn and his sealed powers. The crew is ambushed by Furias but quickly overpower his troops. It is then that a furry, familiar face appears, calling Gachapin's name.

(Captain) and the crew depart from the Lumacie Archipelago and find information regarding Vyrn on Amalthea Island.
According to some materials they stumble upon, Vyrn holds the ability to suppress Astral power.
But these powers are sealed, and the key to unlocking them lies dormant on Zinkenstill.
They travel back to the island where their journey began and bring Drang and Sturm along as they look for a way to help the Black Knight.
Vyrn: Ah, that's the stuff! Inhale that lovely fresh air! This is just what I needed to calm me down.
Vyrn: But what's up with you, Gachapin? You've been kinda down since we left Lumacie.
Gachapin: Well, um...
Gachapin: I realized I wasn't imagining the funny feeling I had the whole time we were traveling.
Gachapin: I definitely forgot about something super-duper important...
Before Gachapin can expand on that thought, the crew is surrounded by a wave of excited villagers.
Villager: You're back! We were starting to wonder if we'd ever hear from you again.
Villager: We've been pretty worried, you know? What with you leaving the village after all that stuff happened... But it looks like you've been doing just fine.
Villager: And you, Gachapin. You're as green as ever. How've you been?
Gachapin: Oh, hello. Long time no see.
After speaking with the villagers, (Captain) remembers there's a shrine in a nearby forest.
The crew decides to head there in hopes of finding a clue related to Vyrn.
Io: It's so quiet and peaceful in this forest.
Vyrn: Betcha didn't know (Captain) and Gachapin used to come here all the time to train!
Rackam: So that's why the two of them are so strong, huh?
Gachapin: About that... Something's been bothering me.
Vyrn: Huh? Oh, right, we never finished talkin' earlier. What's up?
Gachapin: We for sure trained here and lived together, just like you said.
Gachapin: But do you remember when I started staying with you guys?
Vyrn: Huh? What're you tryin' to say?
Gachapin: I've never met (Captain)'s dad before. But you have, Vyrn.
Gachapin: At the same time, I've always been on this island with you both. Even the villagers know me.
Gachapin: So when did I get here? I can't remember at all...
Rackam: H-hey, c'mon now. I betcha these two know the answer to that.
You guys do, right?
Vyrn: O-of course we do. We're family.
Vyrn: You got here... Um...
However, no matter how hard (Captain) and Vyrn rack their brains, an answer never comes.
They have no time to contemplate further when Furias drops in for a surprise visit.
He drives the crew into a corner with the power of dark essence.
But Vyrn's hidden powers are unleashed, and the tables quickly turn on the imperial soldiers, forcing them to retreat.
Vyrn: Phew... Looks like all their airships are gone.
Rackam: And you got the power to shut down their dark essence. I'd call this a success.
Eugen: Now that that's taken care of, we can go back to what you were sayin', Gachapin—
???: Heeey!
Eugen: Hm?
???: Over hereee!
Io: U-um, there's a red thing coming from the hill over there, you guys.
Lyria: Oh, you're right. I wonder who that is?
Furry Red Soldier: Gachapiiin!
Gachapin: Huh?
The identity of the newcomer is uncertain, but the crew is sure of one thing—the figure in the distance is calling Gachapin's name.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 4: Furry Frenzy - Episode 2

The crew learns that Mukku is a friend of Gachapin's, and that the two of them are from another world. Mukku joins the crew and tells them about the empire's evil plans involving the use of dark essence.

The figure yelling Gachapin's name runs toward the cautious crew, panting and wheezing all the while.
Recognizing this familiar face, the crew gets ready to defend themselves.
Vyrn: That's an imperial soldier, right? I've definitely seen that mug around!
Rackam: Yeah, let's get outta here! Can't believe the army still left some soldiers behind.
Katalina: If I recall correctly, we've seen this particular soldier on Lumacie and Golonzo.
Furry Red Soldier: Wait, hold on! I'm not a soldier! I mean I used to be, but...
Eugen: Sure, sure. You really expect us to believe that?
Io: Don't tell me you're trying to trick us into lowering our guard!
Furry Red Soldier: No way, never... Gachapin, you can back me up, right?
Vyrn: Well, Gachapin? Do you know this guy?
Vyrn: Wait a sec, you don't think...
Lyria: Maybe this soldier has something to do with your missing memories?
Gachapin: Nope, I've never met this guy before.
Furry Red Soldier: What!
The soldier sinks to his knees as despair overtakes him.
Furry Red Soldier: Did you really forget about me? After all I went through to come see you...
Furry Red Soldier: You can't be serious!
Furry Red Soldier: Waaah, wah, wah... Waaaaaah, wah, wah...
Vyrn: I-is this guy okay?
Eugen: I don't know, but I kind of feel bad for him.
Io: Hey, come on now. Get ahold of yourself!
Lyria: I kind of feel bad for him too...
But the soldier's despair is soon interrupted.
Gachapin: Hehe... Hehehe, hahaha!
Furry Red Soldier: Huh? Why are you laughing?
Gachapin: I was just kidding, Mukku! Of course I remember you! You're the Mukkiest Mukku that ever Mukku'd!
Mukku: R-really?
Gachapin: Yep!
Mukku: G-Gachapin, you're so mean! Geez, I can't believe I missed you!
Gachapin: Mukku!
Mukku: Gachapin!
Gachapin & Mukku: Yippee! Hooray! Woohoo!
Katalina: Can someone explain to me what is happening right now?
Lyria: I'm not sure, but... Hehe, at least it looks like Gachapin's cheered up completely.
The crew sets a course back to Lumacie with the goal of saving Rosetta.
As they fly over, Gachapin and Mukku spend time catching up.
Vyrn: Whoa, you're from another world?
Gachapin: Yep, I finally remembered! Me and Mukku are from a totally different world.
Mukku: I guess anything can happen, huh? Can't lie though—I'm a little homesick.
Eugen: This is too out of the blue for me to believe, but I can tell you aren't lyin'.
Eugen: How'd you get to our world anyway?
Gachapin: I think Akasha brought us here. At least that's what I felt when it got activated on Lumacie and my memories started coming back.
Gachapin: With its crazy-huge powers to rewrite the world, it probably did something to our world too.
Gachapin: Then me and Mukku got wrapped up in everything, and it changed space and time to make us a part of this world instead.
Mukku: That's the amazing Gachapin I know and love! You've got everything figured out already, huh?
Io: I don't really get the whole picture though. Why did Akasha bother with another world in the first place?
Eugen: Hmm, maybe it's kind of like when you rebuild a house, you have to step out to fix it. You can't realistically do everythin' from the inside.
Eugen: If you try, you might get buried. It's not totally out of the question for Akasha to try and reshape our world in a similar way, right?
Katalina: A world existing outside of our own... So you believe that Akasha's power exerted influence on another world after stepping out of ours.
Katalina: It's certainly within the realm of possibility, although we're only guessing at this point.
Gachapin: There's a lotta things we don't know, but I'm just glad me and Mukku are together again!
Gachapin: So what were you up to this whole time, Mukku?
Mukku: Well, when I first woke up, I was in empire territory without a place to stay or anything to eat, yah see? So someone pointed me toward the army.
Mukku: Oh, but... then I got fired not too long ago.
Mukku: After that, General Furias's ship dropped me off in Zinkenstill, and here I am now.
Vyrn: So you're actually not a soldier anymore. What made you come to Zinkenstill out of all places?
Mukku: I wanted to search for Gachapin, yah see? My memories started coming back a little after I was fired, so...
Mukku: I never thought I'd find him so soon though! Must be my lucky day.
  1. Welcome to the crew.
  2. That's a nice coat of fur.

Choose: Welcome to the crew.
Eugen: A friend of Gachapin is a friend of ours! Glad to have you on board!
Mukku: Whoooa, you guys are so nice. Thanks for letting me tag along, yah!

Choose: That's a nice coat of fur.
Vyrn: I was just thinkin' the same thing. Say, would you mind us touchin' it? I'm real curious.
Mukku: Sure, I don't mind.
Lyria: Wow, you're so soft and fluffy!
Vyrn: You sure said it. I'm gettin' kinda sleepy just from this...
Eugen: Heh, guess you're one of us now, or at least you're gonna be their pillow! Glad to have you on board!
Mukku: Thanks for having me! I'm happy to be here, yah!

Katalina: Now that that's settled, we should figure out what to do about the things happening on Lumacie.
The crew steers the conversation back to the topic of Yggdrasil Malice and her manipulator Freesia.
Drang: Sounds like you had your hands full the first time. Seriously, it's insane what dark essence can do!
Mukku: Oh no! I-I totally forgot to tell you guys something important about the dark essence!
Mukku: The empire's research is progressing really fast, and now Lumacie is in biiig trouble!
Io: Lumacie is? What happened exactly?
Mukku: Where to start... I guess I should explain how it relates to Gachapin first.
Gachapin: Huh, me? What'd I do?
Mukku begins to speak about what he saw in the empire, his body shaking as he tells the tale.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 4: Furry Frenzy - Episode 3

(Captain) and company go back to Lumacie to save Yggdrasil Malice and Rosetta, but are met with an army of Murky Mukkus—evil creatures that Mukku accidentally helped create in the empire's lab in Agastia. The crew notices the Murky Mukkus causing the vegetation on the island to wither and decides to fight against them in order to protect the island.

Pommern: Now we mix the cells taken from Gachapin into the tank filled with a culture of crushed dark essence... Upon completion, we shall convert it into crystal form.
In the middle of a bustling research center, Pommern stares intently at the tank containing the culture.
Pommern: Mukku, will you bring me a cup of tea?
Mukku: Roger, yah! I'll be back—huh?
Mukku notices tufts of his own fur scattered across the floor as he leaves to complete his task.
Mukku: Oh no, I shed... Better clean it up before someone slips and falls! Just sweep it up aaand...
Mukku: Let's see, where's the garbage bin? Ah, here we go! Toss it all in...
Mukku: Done! Now for the tea.
Pommern: What is happening!
Researcher: An anomaly occurred within the culture tank! It appears that this impure substance was mixed into it...
Pommern: An impure substance?
The researcher hands over a tuft of red fur.
Pommern: You! What did you do! This is clearly your fur, isn't it!
Mukku: I-I'm so sorry! I really thought I was throwing it into a garbage bin!
Researcher: C-Captain... Captain Pommern! Please look at the culture tank!
Pommern: What is it now!
???: ...
Pommern: Wh-what are those things!
Mukku: Whoooa! Th-this can't be good...
Gachapin: Oh, Mukku, you're so silly. What'd you go and do that for?
Mukku: I really didn't mean to... But that's also the story of how I got fired, yah see!
Vyrn: You're being pretty easygoin' about that fact...
Lyria: Hehehe.
Vyrn: Whatcha laughin' for, Lyria?
Lyria: I'm just happy to see Gachapin all cheered up.
Io: Anyway, what does your story have to do with Lumacie?
Mukku: Ah, well, we took those things that grew in the tank and dumped them off in Lumacie on our way over to Zinkenstill.
Vyrn: Okay, but what's there to worry about? What are they even?
Mukku: Um... How can I explain this...
Before Mukku can continue, Rackam bellows from the helm.
Rackam: Hey, we're almost there! Lumacie's straight ahead!
Seeking to save the friends they left behind, the crew return to Lumacie.
But what greets them first isn't the sight of Rosetta and Yggdrasil Malice.
???: Murky Murder... Death Zone... Murky Murder... Death Zone...
Rackam: Yikes! When did Mukku get so murky?
Gachapin: You guys've got nothing on the real Mukku! He's way more awesome!
Mukku: The Mukku you know and love is right here! No one beats my fluffy red fur, yah see?
Vyrn: Knock it off! How did these things get like this anyway!
Mukku: I'm not sure about the details, but my fur probably got filled with dark essence power and then grew really fast...
Murky Mukku: Murky Murder... Death Zone... Murky Murder... Death Zone...
Lyria: Be careful! They're coming this way, and I don't think they want to be friends!
Mukku: They look pretty scary, so I guess the empire must've wanted to get rid of them here.
Mukku: But there's more of them than I remember...
Katalina: They've somehow multiplied? Wait, look. The vegetation at their feet is withering away!
At Katalina's prompting, the crew watches the grass beneath the advancing Murky Mukkus turn black.
Katalina: Maybe the dark essence is to blame for the decay? Or are they absorbing nutrients to multiply?
Io: Are we going to do anything about this? Because if we don't, Lumacie might turn into a desert like Valtz!
Vyrn: Guess we got no choice but to deal with 'em! Right, (Captain)?
Gachapin: You said it! It's gonna be kinda tough hitting something that has Mukku's face, but I guess we gotta.
Mukku: Don't worry about my face! Hit it as much as you like! These Murky Mukkus are just old bits of shed fur!
Mukku: I'll be cheering for you! Go, go, Gachapin! Go, go, everyone!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 4: Furry Frenzy - Episode 4

Finding themselves overpowered by the crew, the Murky Mukkus pile together to form a single big Murky Mukku.

The Murky Mukkus appear to lose ground as the crew steadfastly engages them.
Vyrn: Awesome! Let's keep this up!
Murky Mukku: Murky... Murder!
Mukku: Hey, these Murky Mukkus are acting kinda strange, yah see? Be careful, everyone!
Murky Mukku: Murky Murdeeer! Death Zoooneee!
Their ominous voices rising in intensity, the Murky Mukkus begin to swarm together and pile into one dark writhing mass.
Mukku: Huh? Are they huddling together for warmth?
Eugen: This is our chance to take them out all at once!
Gachapin: Eugen, wait a sec! Don't you think they're acting kinda weird?
The crowd of Murky Mukkus clusters together until no more space is left, and a black shape rises and swells from the middle of the pile.
Confused, the crew pause their attacks to stare at the gigantic mountain forming above their heads.
Rackam: Don't tell me... Are these guys trying to combine or something?
Io: Like into one big furball?
Eugen: No, that's not a furball... Crane your heads back. It's turnin' into one big Murky Mukku!
Big Murky Mukku: Murky Murder! Death! Death Zone!
Katalina: Watch yourselves! It's hostile!
Lyria: It looks very, very angry! Please be careful, everyone!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - A New Friend - Episode 1

(Captain) and company successfully defeat the big Murky Mukku and save their two friends. Rosetta joins them, and the crew continue on their journey.

Big Murky Mukku: Death Zooone...
The big Murky Mukku crumbles into pieces after one last ghastly groan.
Vyrn: Did we beat it? 'Cause I really don't wanna go for a round two.
Lyria: I'm pretty sure we did. I don't feel any more dark essence around here, at least.
Mukku: Sigh... If only I didn't shed so much. I'm really sorry, yah see?
Gachapin: I guess you do have a lotta fur, huh?
With the Murky Mukkus defeated, the crew saves Rosetta and Yggdrasil and prepares to depart from Lumacie.
Rosetta: Oh? Are you new around here?
Mukku: Hi, hi! I'm Mukku, the Mukkiest Mukku that ever Mukku'd! Nice to meet you!
Rosetta: I'm Rosetta. I must admit I'm rather curious about your fur. Would you indulge me for a moment? Ah, it's quite soft, hehehe.
Mukku: Wh-whoa, hahaha!
Gachapin: Hahaha! That was a funny noise you made!
Mukku: Th-that tickles!
The Grandcypher takes off into the skies with all crew members accounted for and ready to resume their journey.
But with the empire's ambitions unfulfilled and Pommern's hatred of Gachapin burning strongly, many trials still await them ahead.
To be continued...

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 5: The Green Titan - Episode 1

Gachapin tells the other members of the crew that he and Mukku intend to go back to their own world. The crew head for Agastia to find Akasha, hoping that the primal beast's power can help their friends return home.

(Captain) and the crew discuss where to head next as they resume their journey.
Gachapin, who had been silently observing the whole time on deck, interrupts the conversation with a resolute look in his eyes.
Gachapin: I had a good long talk with Mukku, and, well... We were thinking we should find a way back to our world.
Vyrn: Huh? What makes you wanna do that?
Gachapin: We're sorry to leave you guys, but we've got people waiting for us back home.
Lyria: B-but we just got Rosetta back and...
Katalina: Gachapin, you're an indispensable part of this crew.
Katalina: You've saved us countless times. Without you, our journey would become much more difficult.
Katalina: Still... I'd like to take it upon myself to see you off.
Lyria: Katalina, what are you saying!
Katalina: Lyria, sometimes there are places that people should return to—places dear to the heart where they can be at peace.
Katalina: If Gachapin wants to go home, then we have no right to stop him.
Rackam: Agreed.
Eugen: It'll be sad to see them go, but that's how it's got to be.
Io: I know how it feels to be homesick, so I get where they're coming from.
Vyrn: B-but... your home's Zinkenstill, ain't it?
Gachapin: Sorry, (Captain). Sorry, Vyrn. You guys were the best family I coulda asked for, but...
Rosetta: I don't think any of us doubt how much you care for (Captain).
Rosetta: But you have people just as precious in the other world, don't you?
Gachapin: Yeah! I have a lot of friends I really care about there...
Vyrn: I see... Okay.
Vyrn: S-so what kinda place did you guys come from?
Gachapin: We're from somewhere right next to the ocean with lots of people and tall buildings!
Mukku: There's also this really huuuge bridge, and everything lights up at night, and it's all so pretty, yah!
Vyrn: The ocean, huh? Kinda like Auguste then.
What's your place called?
Gachapin: Odaiba!
Vyrn: Odaiba? That's a funny name.
Rackam: Okay, before we dive into more chitchat, can I ask something? How exactly are you two gonna get back anyway?
Gachapin: Right, about that. I figured that if we used Akasha's powers, we could probably get home! Maybe!
Rosetta: I suppose there's no other key to returning to your world besides the primal beast that brought you here in the first place.
Katalina: Then that means we'll have to face Akasha.
Vyrn: E-even if you guys go home, you'll still come visit, right?
Gachapin: ...
Sure!
Mukku: ...
Gachapin's simple answer is enough to reassure the worried crew members.
With their next goal determined, they turn the airship toward Agastia, the empire's capital.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 5: The Green Titan - Episode 2

While running from imperial soldiers, the crew are saved by Mukku's ex-colleague. They hide at an eatery in the meantime, where they enjoy Gachapin's delicious cooking as they listen to Mukku play the piano.

The crew travels in search of Akasha, seeking to secure a path home for Gachapin and Mukku.
But they are quickly found by imperial soldiers right after sneaking into Agastia.
Soldier: Halt, you scoundrels!
Rackam: Heh, you actually think someone'd stop if you told 'em to?
Eugen: Enough with the goading. Does anyone have any ideas? Because we can't keep runnin' like this for long!
Katalina: We need to find somewhere to hide, at least until we lose them! After that, hopefully we can continue our search in peace.
Just as Katalina finishes coming up with a plan, someone hollers at them from nearby.
Fellow Soldier: Hey, over here!
Mukku: Whoooa, I know that voice!
Fellow Soldier: Long time no see, Mukku.
Mukku's former coworker leads them through a series of alleyways until they reach a seemingly ordinary eatery tucked into the back of one.
Fellow Soldier: I'm a regular here, so I can guarantee you'll be safe in this place. It's pretty soundproof too.
Katalina: We really appreciate the help, but aren't you with the empire?
Fellow Soldier: I am, but...
Mukku: Um, about that...
Fellow Soldier: You don't need to hide anythin'. Your memories returned, right? Then that's the most important thing. It doesn't matter if I'm betrayin' the empire to help ya.
Mukku: H-how kind and considerate! Thank you sooo much, yah!
Gachapin: Now that we've got a second to relax, I'm getting kinda hungry!
Gachapin: Excuse meee! Um, do you mind if I borrow the kitchen for a bit?
Io: Huh, you wanna make your own food?
Gachapin: Yeah! I want everyone to try my cooking!
Gachapin enters the kitchen and deftly prepares some food in no time at all. Soon a line of dishes is laid out in the eatery.
Katalina: Mm! This is... astonishingly delicious!
Lyria: Oh my gosh, it's super tasty!
Rackam: You're even good at cooking... Is there anything you can't do?
Gachapin: Ehehe, you guys are too kind!
Vyrn: Hehe, you've always been an awesome chef!
Vyrn: But... me and (Captain) have never seen you cook this kinda food before.
Gachapin: Well, I only remembered how to cook these things after I got my memories back.
Rosetta: Hehe, your true abilities have come to light. How wonderful.
Gachapin: Yeah, I guess so. I mostly just want to give you guys as many great memories as I can before I go!
Lyria: Oh, Gachapin...
The reminder of Gachapin's pending departure brings a gloom into the room, but it doesn't last long.
Mukku: There's no need to get so down, everyone! Let's enjoy the time we've got, yah?
Eugen: Whoa! Mukku, you can play the piano?
Gachapin: Yep, he sure can! And not just the piano either. He's good at a bunch of instruments!
Lyria: Hehe! This is a fun song!
Gachapin: You got that right! It's got me wanting to dance a little jig!
True to his words, Gachapin starts skillfully stepping in rhythm to Mukku's music.
Gachapin: Yippee!
Rackam: Hahaha! You really can do anything, can't ya! Count us in for this too!
Io: Yeah, give us some space!
Mukku: Guess I better keep the music going, yah!
Gachapin: Come join us, (Captain)!
Going along with the flow of festivities, (Captain) and the crew find themselves merrily dancing together.
Gachapin: Thanks for everything, (Captain). I just know you'll make it to Estalucia someday.
Lyria: Gachapin, stay healthy and safe over there, okay?
Gachapin: You betcha! You guys better too!
Vyrn: Hey, aren't you guys being a bit hasty? We haven't even found 'em a way home yet!
Gachapin: Oh yeah. Haha!
Lyria: Hehe, I almost forgot!
Cheerful and jubilant, the crew's laughter and chatter continue to fill the hidden eatery.
Little do they know that, around the same time, a disturbing development is taking place in Agastia's center.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 5: The Green Titan - Episode 3

At the research lab in Agastia, Pommern succeeds in creating a new type of dark essence using cells taken from Gachapin's Energy Ball. He takes this new power and sets out to find the crew.

Researcher: The crystallization is a success. We actually completed it!
Pommern: It's finally here. Well done, everyone.
Soldier: General, urgent report! We've spotted trespassers in the town who might be the crew you've been looking for!
Pommern: Oh? Was that despicable green vermin, Gachapin, among them?
Soldier: Yes, sir! We have confirmed reports of Gachapin's presence!
Pommern: Is that so? He's walked right into my clutches then!
Pommern: What a perfect opportunity to test out this new dark essence! Prepare some at once!
Researcher: Um, sir... I may have said it was completed, but we've only just crystallized it, and a number of tests are required to see if it's truly ready for use.
Pommern: Do you really believe the burning hatred within me has the patience to wait for simple tests?
Pommern snatches the new dark essence before anyone can react, madness clouding his countenance.
Soldier: C-Captain? Captain Pommern? Are you okay?
Pommern: ...
Soldier: Wh-what is that!
Researcher: That... is the result of mixing Gachapin's power with our Captain!
With barely a backward glance at his trembling soldiers, Pommern leaves in search of the crew.
Only Gachapin's form is reflected in his revenge-filled eyes.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 5: The Green Titan - Episode 4

General Adam of the Erste Imperial Army visits the crew at the eatery and tells them of Freesia's plans to rewrite history. On their way to the Tower, the crew are obstructed by Pommern in his new form, Gacha-Pom. They are defeated by Gacha-Pom and retreat for the meantime.

While Pommern loses control in the research lab, an unexpected visitor surprises (Captain) and the crew in the hidden eatery.
General Adam of the Erste Imperial Army comes alone, having noticed the crew's infiltration prior to everyone else.
Adam: Please... I implore you to bring an end to Erste's existence.
Adam: For several years now the use of dark essence has been warping Erste into something monstrous.
With the empire under her control, Prime Minister Freesia seeks to use the primal beast Deus Ex Machina to activate Akasha.
But such an action requires the sacrifice of millions of souls—all provided by the empire's unknowing citizens in the capital.
The crew stands stunned at the end of Adam's explanation.
Io: Doesn't Akasha's activation require Lyria and Orchis? Isn't that why they've been targeted this whole time?
Katalina: That was before she decided to use Deus Ex Machina to force Akasha's activation, I assume.
Adam: If Akasha were to change history, it wouldn't stop with the loss of the capital.
Adam: I think you understand this, but the world as we know it will be lost.
Gachapin: As if! We've gotta stop her!
Adam continues his explanation, revealing the existence of a device crucial to Akasha's activation.
Adam: They call it the Reactor. You'll find it in the imperial palace, located in the center of Agastia.
Katalina: The imperial palace... People also call it the Tower, if I recall correctly.
Eugen: So if we go to this Tower place and take care of that Reactor, everything will be settled? Definitely sounds easy enough, but I'm bettin' it'll be anything but.
Rackam: What do we do then?
Security will undoubtedly grow tighter the closer they get to the Tower.
As the crew ponders this issue, Gachapin speaks up with his own solution.
Gachapin: Everything's gonna be fine, guys! As long as we know the destination, all we gotta do is use that, right, Mukku?
Mukku: Oh, yeah! Just use that and we'll be there in a jiffy!
Io: Huh? Do you guys have something we can use?
Gachapin: Yep! Everyone, gather around us!
Vyrn: Wh-what the heck are you guys tryin' to pull?
Gachapin: Don't worry, just relax!
Mukku: C'mere! Closer, yah!
Gachapin: Here we go! Ready...
Gachapin: Jump!
Gachapin: Ta-da!
Lyria: Wha... Huh? Where are we?
Gachapin: The Tower, I think?
Vyrn: Say what! We were just in the eatery, weren't we?
Rosetta: This is quite the surprise. How did you get us here?
Mukku: Don't ask me... Hey, Gachapin, how'd we do that?
Gachapin: Hmm... I don't really know, but that's how me and Mukku always get around.
Rackam: You've gotta be kiddin' me... Is this another thing from getting your memories back?
Eugen: You guys are really something else.
Katalina: W-well, regardless of how, we should just count ourselves lucky that we got here so fast.
Pommern: I would be cursing my luck if I were you!
Katalina: Captain Pommern!
Pommern: Though it must be good fortune that brought you to me so quickly!
Rackam: Don't you mean bad fortune? Or are you just that eager to lose to us again?
Pommern: You insolent vermin!
Pommern: This time... This time I swear I'll—hm?
Mukku: Hrr-yah!
Pommern: It seems the reports were correct. I dare say, Lieutenant Katalina was bad enough, but to have even you turn traitor!
Mukku: Whoa, whoa, whoa—no hard feelings! I just have things I need to do... I'm s-sorry.
Pommern: Hmph!
Despite having already been fired at the time, joining the enemy's ranks so soon can only be seen as a betrayal from Mukku.
Pommern's glare grows increasingly heated. Guilt builds up inside Mukku, causing him to back away.
Pommern: As for you, Gachapin... You've humiliated me enough times.
Gachapin: Uh, I have?
Pommern: But your streak ends today!
Katalina: Captain Pommern, we have bigger concerns! All of the empire is in grave danger!
Katalina: Freesia is attempting to use the citizens' lives as sacrifices in order to activate Akasha. Now is not the time for us to be fighting among ourselves—
Pommern: Cease your babbling!
Rackam: Pretty sure he's too worked up for words. A few fists might do the trick though.
Pommern: If it's a fight you want, then a fight you shall have! Feast your eyes upon the power of my new dark essence!
Katalina: Your new dark essence?
Pommern: I shall sear my new form into your eyes!
Gacha-Pom: Hehehe! How do you like this?
Vyrn: Wha?
Lyria: Oh my!
Gachapin: Huuuh?
Mukku: Wh-whaaat! C-Captain P-P-Pommern!
Gacha-Pom: This is my final form, created by using your powers, Gachapin.
Gacha-Pom: You may address me as Gacha-Pom!
All Three: Gacha-Pom?
Eugen: Okay, is it just me, or does he look exactly like Gachapin?
Gachapin: Huh? C'mon, Eugen. Saying he looks exactly like me is a stretch, right?
Oh, my poor heart can't handle this...
Io: I'm guessing this is the result of the experiments you were talking about, Mukku. Who knew researching the round things on Gachapin's arms would end up like this?
Mukku: Not me. I got fired before seeing the end product.
Gachapin: By the way, these round things on my arms are called Energy Balls! Don't you forget it!
Lyria: Wow, those things did have a name after all!
Gacha-Pom: How dare you try and ignore me!
Katalina: Captain, I have an extremely important question for you: why name yourself "Gacha-Pom"?
Gacha-Pom: As an imperial soldier, I must pay my respects to those who are strong, even if Gachapin is quite the nuisance.
Gacha-Pom: Besides, what other name could perfectly encapsulate the power I have taken from him?
Eugen: Tch! Stop wasting our time with this nonsense. If we're going to do this, then let's do it already!
Gacha-Pom: Your efforts are futile!
Eugen: Whoa!
Io: Eep!
Gachapin: Eugen! Io!
Gacha-Pom: Fascinating... I never could have imagined such power, and from a first attempt! It's almost threatening to flow out of meee!
Gachapin: Eee-yah!
Gacha-Pom: Your defenses are lacking!
Gachapin: Whoooa!
Gacha-Pom's attack strikes quickly and powerfully, sending Gachapin sprawling.
Vyrn: Holy smokes! Gachapin's gacha-gone!
Rackam: He couldn't even fight back...
Mukku: Oh no, no, no! G-Gachapiiin!
Gacha-Pom: What an unsatisfyingly swift victory. But I suppose not even you could stand a chance against the empire's might.
Gacha-Pom: Now, I hope you're ready for a nice long trip to the afterlife!
Gacha-Pom swings his arm down in finality.
(Captain): ...!
Gacha-Pom: Agh!
Gachapin: Gasp... (Captain)!
Vyrn: Stop gawkin' and get outta there, Gachapin! Now's your chance!
Gachapin: R-right!
Gacha-Pom: H-halt, I say!
Gacha-Pom hunches over in pain after receiving (Captain)'s blow.
The crew takes advantage of this moment and retreats for the time being.
Rackam: Pant... Pant... I think we should be safe for now.
Katalina: I still can't wrap my head around that strange form. Captain Pommern even overwhelmed Gachapin with it...
Vyrn: Wh-what do we do? There's no way he's gonna stop chasin' us down.
(Captain) is unable to respond, too focused on recalling Gacha-Pom's overwhelming strength.
Luckily the crew has someone to bring their spirits up.
Gachapin: I really ate it, huh?
Vyrn: Y-yeah? That's a light way of puttin' it.
Gachapin: I mean, losing's no big deal if I know why I lost!
Vyrn: Wait, you do? Don't keep us in the dark then! Spit it out!
Gachapin: Okay, so...
Rackam: So?
Gachapin: I lost because...
All Three: Because?
Gachapin: Because of a reason we'll learn after the break!
What in the skies could explain Gachapin's defeat? Keep tuning in to find out!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 6: Cheering Is Caring - Episode 1

Gachapin explains to the others that he was unable to defeat Gacha-Pom this time because Mukku wasn't cheering him on. Mukku promises to do his best to cheer Gachapin on in the next fight.

Previously on the Azure Adventure, Captain Pommern combined Gachapin's cells with dark essence and transformed into the formidable Gacha-Pom.
Against his overwhelming power, (Captain) and the crew taste a bitter defeat.
But Gachapin is unfazed. He reveals that he has already figured out the reason for his setback.
What in the skies could explain Gachapin's defeat?
Vyrn: Wh-what do we do? There's no way he's gonna stop chasin' us down.
Gachapin: I really ate it, huh?
Vyrn: Y-yeah? That's a light way of puttin' it.
Gachapin: I mean, losing's no big deal if I know why I lost!
Vyrn: Wait, you do? Don't keep us in the dark then! Spit it out!
Gachapin: I lost because of Mukku!
Mukku: M-me? What did I do?
Gachapin: Oh, no, I don't mean to blame you. It's more like... I lost because I didn't have you cheering me on!
Lyria: Why would you lose because of that?
Gachapin: You see, I had to face down a lot of challenges back in our world.
Gachapin: There were some reeeally hard ones, and I almost gave up so many times.
Gachapin: But whenever I felt like throwing in the towel, Mukku was there to cheer me on and keep me going!
Lyria: I see...
Gachapin: I never gave up because Mukku had my back, and without him, I never would've beaten so many challenges!
Rackam: So a bit of cheerin' is all you need? Wasn't Mukku cheering for you back there though?
Mukku: I d-did, yah see! But I felt kinda bad doing it in front of Captain Pommern, so I might've cheered a bit more quietly than usual...
Mukku: Like woo-hoo... You go, Gachapin...
Gachapin: Whaaat! I totally couldn't hear you! You gotta cheer like you mean it, Mukku!
Mukku: I'm s-sorry! I just really don't think Captain Pommern's such a bad guy, considering he's only doing his best for the empire he loves...
Mukku: But if it's my cheers that you need to win, then I'm gonna cheer my heart out for you next time!
Gachapin: You promise?
Mukku: I promise!
Vyrn: What a plan... Is this really gonna work out?
Not even a hint of worry across their faces, Gachapin and Mukku are confident in their abilities despite the overwhelming obstacles ahead.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 6: Cheering Is Caring - Episode 2

As Pommern searches for the crew, he witnesses Freesia sacrificing the lives of innocent citizens in order to activate Akasha. He stands helpless, shocked by this revelation.

Meanwhile, Pommern and his soldiers search through the capital for the runaway crew.
Pommern: Where did Gachapin and his little friends run off to?
Pommern: To think they really ran away... Hehe, hahaha!
Pommern: That Gachapin scampered off with his tail between his legs, hehehe. What a truly satisfying sight it was.
Though his enemies may have escaped, his victory against Gachapin is unchanged.
He doesn't have long to gloat, however, as things take a turn for the worse in another part of the capital.
Furias: Pant... Pant... How dare you... This... This can't be happening!
Freesia: ...
Freesia plans to rewrite history, but Furias has goals of his own.
Only Freesia is left standing after conflict erupts between them. Her cold gaze sweeps over Furias's slumped form.
Furias: You... That power... What was that?
Freesia: There is no need for you to know.
Freesia: Now everything will be set into motion. Welcome to the new—no, the true course of history.
Soldier: Captain Pommern, sir. We have continued reports of soldiers falling ill left and right.
Pommern: Still? What could possibly be the cause...
Soldier: Actually, sir, I also have not been feeling... urgh...
Pommern: Wh-what is happening to my troops?
Researcher: General, the researchers as well... are...
Pommern: What! Even y-you...
Katalina: Freesia is attempting to use the citizens' lives as sacrifices in order to activate Akasha. Now is not the time for us to be fighting among ourselves—
Pommern: Don't tell me... Was that pesky crew telling the truth?
Pommern watches as soldiers and citizens all around collapse to the ground.
Soon he is the only one left standing. While worry gnaws at his mind, he can do nothing but call helplessly out to the unconscious.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 6: Cheering Is Caring - Episode 3

Upon arriving at the Tower and seeing the multitudes of people lying unconscious, Gachapin is filled with a new determination to save the skies and his friends.

Aiming for the Tower once more, Gachapin takes the crew on another jump back.
Gachapin: Are you guys ready? Here we gooo!
Mukku: Hold on a sec! Something's wrong with the town!
Katalina: All the townspeople are unconscious, and even the soldiers are unresponsive! Are we too late already?
Lyria: We can't be!
Vyrn: Things just went from bad to worse! We've got a full-on disaster on our hands!
Gachapin: ...!
Gachapin: (We've gotta get a move on!)
The Sky Realm is in grave danger. But despite this, a moment of introspection washes over Gachapin.
Looks like the clock's really ticking for you.
Gachapin: We'll just have to figure something out fast.
And what's this "something" going to be?
Gachapin: Of course it's gonna be saving everyone—the crew members and the empire's citizens!
Isn't the empire your enemy though?
Gachapin: Enemies, allies, it doesn't matter to me. Everyone here is what makes these skies so fun.
Gachapin: That's why I won't change a thing about it. I'll save all of us!
Gachapin's earnest wish to protect the skies is made without a single shred of doubt.

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Chapter 6: Cheering Is Caring - Episode 4

With a bigger threat at hand, the crew attempt to convince Pommern to stop fighting, but their words fall on deaf ears. With the help of Mukku's cheers, Gachapin feels himself filled with power as he stands to face Gacha-Pom once more.

Pommern stands unmoving, facing the Tower. Only when the crew's footsteps draw close does he address them.
Pommern: I applaud you for having the courage to show your faces here again.
Gachapin: Pommern!
Pommern: While I'm pleased you've finally called me by name...
Gacha-Pom: Gacha-Pom is more appropriate on this occasion!
Gachapin: Well then, Gacha-Pom! I really don't think we should be fighting when all the empire's people are in trouble!
Katalina: Exactly! If you really care about your citizens, you should direct your attention to the center of the capital!
Gacha-Pom: Enough! A true imperial soldier needs only strength to prove their worth!
Rackam: Who cares about your worth? Sounds to me like you're avoidin' the subject, but hey, I know it takes courage to doubt something you've always believed in.
Gacha-Pom: Cease your blatheriiing! Come at me, fooools!
Vyrn: Uh-oh. He's not gonna listen!
Gacha-Pom: Gachapiiin!
Gachapin: Gacha-Pom!
Your opponent's strong. Aren't you afraid you'll lose?
Gachapin: Nope, not at all.
And why's that?
Gachapin: I've got nothing to be afraid of when my trusty friends are by my side.
So what do you plan to do?
Gachapin: Hmm... I've got to clean up this mess somehow. There never would've been a Gacha-Pom if it weren't for me, after all.
Gachapin: I definitely can't leave it behind for everyone else to deal with when I'm gone.
Gachapin: I'm counting on you, Mukku!
Mukku: You got it! I'll be cheering my heart out, yah!
Gacha-Pom: Cheering? Is this fight to the death a game to you?
Mukku: Go, go, Gachapin!
Gacha-Pom: ...?
Gachapin: Haaah!
Gacha-Pom: Argh!
Katalina: A solid hit!
Gachapin: I'm exploding with power thanks to you, Mukku!
Mukku: You're very welcome! But don't lose focus yet!
Gacha-Pom: How ridiculous! No one would have to work hard if a dab of cheering was all it took to get things done!
Mukku: With our powers combined, we're unstoppable, yah see!
Gacha-Pom: I've had it up to here with you! After I finish with Gachapin, you're next, Mukkuuu!
Mukku: Whoooa!
Mukku: G-Gachapin won't lose! He's gone through way worse before, and he'll get through this challenge no problem!
Gacha-Pom: This nonsense has gone on for too looong! Let's finish thiiis!
Lyria: Th-there's a lot of dark essence flowing out from him! Be careful!
Vyrn: We should help out too! C'mon, (Captain), let's show him what we're made of!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Ending

(Captain) and company defeat Akasha and successfully change the future for the better. Though Gachapin and Mukku are erased from their memories as a result, the crew find an object on the ship that gives them courage to continue their adventure in the skies.

Gacha-Pom: Urgh... Agh...
Pommern: I-I'm not finished yet! On my honor as an imperial soldier, I swear I won't let you paaass!
Rackam: Big words for someone who looks so rough around the edges.
Rosetta: That dark essence of yours doesn't seem like it's functional anymore. Victory is ours, wouldn't you say?
Pommern: Argh... I can keep going. With this dark essence... I'll use Gachapin's power... one more time!
Gachapin: You know, Pommern, you've been using it wrong this whole time.
Pommern: ...?
Gachapin: Of course an Energy Ball's good for power, but it also gives you courage too!
Pommern: Courage?
Gachapin: Look around you. The empire's in a pretty shaky situation. If we don't do something about it soon...
At Gachapin's prompting, everyone falls silent and realizes the capital around them has grown eerily quiet.
Gachapin: Think about it. What should you really be doing for the empire?
Gachapin: I know it's gonna take a lotta courage to face the truth, but my Energy Balls can help you out there.
Pommern: ...
Vyrn: C'mon, Gachapin! We gotta hurry!
Gachapin: Okay, I'm coming!
Mukku: Guess I'm going too! Gotta keep cheering you on, yah!
Pommern: Wait just a moment!
Katalina: General Pommern! Is it really so hard for you to understand the situation?
Pommern: Take this key. The door to the Tower won't open otherwise, and it's too sturdy to break down.
Gachapin: Oh, Pommern!
Pommern: As an imperial soldier of the esteemed Erste Empire, nothing should be more important than the safety of its citizens.
Pommern: If this truly is the work of our prime minister, then I...
Pommern: What are you gawking at? There's no time. Hurry and stop her!
Pommern leaves these last words with (Captain) and the crew as they head for the inside of the Tower.
They immediately set their sights on the Reactor for activating Akasha.
After much effort, they manage to destroy it, but another problem soon arises.
Freesia: This isn't over yet!
Mithra: ...!
The primal beast Mithra, which the crew had once met on Golonzo, appears at Freesia's command.
Freesia: I swear I will make my wish come true, no matter how many times I must leave this body in ruins! Come forth, Mithra!
Freesia pledges herself to Mithra and uses its powers on her own body, resurrecting herself into a different form.
Eugen: This isn't good... We're just going in circles no matter what we do.
Again and again, Freesia resurrects herself and backs the crew into a corner. However, they hang on and manage to come up with a solution.
Black Knight: Akasha should be able to rewrite outcomes... Rewrite history.
According to the Black Knight, writing Freesia's existence out of the future should change the current situation.
With no other options, the crew rushes to defeat Akasha, and Lyria uses her powers.
But she doesn't exactly follow the Black Knight's wishes.
Black Knight: All of you... Why did you do this?
Lyria: Huh? Um, do what?
Black Knight: Don't play dumb. I told you to erase Freesia's existence from the future.
Black Knight: But why is she still here?
The Black Knight points at Freesia, unconscious but very much present.
Lyria: Even if you told me to... I don't think I could ever just erase someone.
Lyria had refused to remove Freesia from the future with Akasha's powers.
Instead, she has chosen to remove her dark essence and pledge with Mithra, effectively dealing with Freesia's rejuvenating capabilities.
Black Knight: Hmph... You're all too softhearted for your own good.
Eugen: You might think so, but we got the job done, didn't we?
Rackam: I'd say so. Whew, we can finally take a breather.
Io: After all that, I feel totally beat...
Rosetta: Good work. You really gave it your all this time.
Vyrn: Hehe, we saved the day again! Right, Gachapin, (Captain)?
Vyrn: Huh? Gachapin...
Gachapin: We sure did, and nobody's hurt either. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
Mukku: You said it. I mean, I was pretty worried for a sec, but we got everything sorted, yah?
Lyria: Oh no, Gachapin! Mukku too!
Vyrn: Wh-what's happenin' to you two?
Gachapin: I guess it's time for us to say goodbye.
Vyrn: But how? Didn't you need Akasha's powers to get back?
Gachapin: We did, but me and Mukku'll make it home just fine.
Gachapin: I think so anyway, since we're not going back normally. I'm betting our existence is gonna be erased entirely from this world, like we were never here in the first place.
Katalina: Like you were never here in the first place? What are you talking about?
Gachapin: Well, remember how Lyria just used Akasha's powers to change the future and save Freesia?
Lyria: Y-yes?
Gachapin: It seems that future took the place of the one with me and Mukku in it.
Gachapin: I said before that Akasha probably changed space and time to bring us here, right?
Rosetta: Are you saying we can assume that when Freesia changed the future with Akasha's powers, she accidentally transported you both here?
Gachapin: That's what I'm guessing! But then we changed the future too...
Io: In other words, we got rid of the reason why you both came to our world?
Rosetta: We disconnected the past and future that have the both of you in it, so your existence has become an inconsistency...
Lyria: N-no... This is all because I changed the future?
Lyria: What should we do? Katalina, (Captain), this is my fault!
Katalina: Calm down, Lyria! Perhaps there's something we can do to stop it. An abrupt parting like this is just too cruel...
Rackam: What can we even try? We were already running out of options when we stopped Freesia's plans!
Gachapin: Um, you guys don't need to try a thing! I'm fine with us leaving like this. Really.
Mukku: Same here. This way, everything will go back to how it was originally meant to be, yah see?
Vyrn: B-but are you sure you guys'll get home safe?
Gachapin: I'm pretty sure. Anyway, since it'll be like we were never here in the first place... Well...
Rosetta: Wait, that means... Our memories of you will disappear too, won't they?
Vyrn: Are you serious!
Gachapin: Yeah, us disappearing from this world probably means disappearing from your memories too...
Katalina: So this world will completely reset and nullify your existence?
Gachapin: Yep.
Eugen: That's...
Vyrn: That's horrible!
Vyrn: We won't forget you! We ain't ever forgettin' you!
Vyrn: You're family! And family never forgets family!
Eugen: Vyrn...
Gachapin: Hehe, I appreciate the thought, but I guess it's not something anyone can decide.
Vyrn: At the very least, you'll come back and visit, right? You said you would!
Gachapin: Sorry... I don't think Akasha's powers are gonna give us another ride over...
Vyrn: No! There's gotta be somethin'...
Gachapin: Everyone, thanks for everything!
Rackam: Hey, Gachapin's the one who saved our hides and got us this far, yeah? If his existence is erased...
Eugen: Without him, our journey'll be over before it even begins, huh?
The same thought runs through everyone else's minds: will they make it this far again without the help of someone who's saved them countless times?
But a cheerful voice breaks through the doom and gloom.
Gachapin: You'll be fine! You've got (Captain) after all!
Gachapin: Or did you forget (Captain)'s the one who saved me when I was about to get done in by Gacha-Pom?
Gachapin: That was the moment I knew you guys would be fine even if I wasn't here.
Gran is the Main Character

Katalina: Heh, I suppose you're right. He's still the captain of our crew.
Djeeta is the Main Character

Katalina: Heh, I suppose you're right. She's still the captain of our crew.
Gachapin: Indeedy!
Gachapin: (Captain), it's been a real blast being part of your family, training together and traveling the skies.
Gachapin: I would've never remembered anything if you hadn't brought me on this journey with you.
Gachapin: So thank you. There's nothing to be sad about, so don't cry, okay?
Gachapin: I hope you find your dad someday.
Lyria: Gachapin, I'm really, really sorry!
Gachapin: There's nothing to apologize for! You just put things back to how they were supposed to be.
Gachapin: Besides, you guys wouldn't be the friends I love if you weren't saving people. I'm really glad nothing bad happened to Freesia.
Mukku: Gachapin, we've gotta go now. It's almost time, yah see.
Gachapin: Okay... Oh, one last thing! I just had a chat with Akasha, and I think I understand it a bit better now.
Lyria: H-huh? You can talk with primal beasts?
Gachapin: I think it's just Akasha that I can connect with—probably because it brought us here.
Gachapin: Anyway, I was thinking of leaving a going-away gift on the ship.
Gachapin: So Akasha helped me make something with the power of my Energy Balls.
Vyrn: Whoa, what'd you guys make?
Gachapin: It's a secret! But me and Mukku promise it's super awesome!
Mukku: It sure is! It's super-duper amazing, hehehe!
Gachapin: It'll be sure to help you out on your journey when it's the right time.
Gachapin: We won't be here for it, but at least we can leave something behind.
Vyrn: You really can do anything, huh?
Gachapin: Heheh, nothing's impossible for me!
Gachapin confidently pounds what remains of his chest as his body continues to vanish.
Vyrn & Lyria: Gachapin!
Gachapin: You guys'll forget about us, but we'll always remember you over in our world!
Gachapin: We're rooting for you! Bye-byeee!
Mukku: Take careee!
(Captain) and the crew desperately try and keep their eyes open to watch Gachapin and Mukku go.
But a bright light intensifies until it overwhelms their senses.
Crew: ...
Crew: ...
Vyrn: Sheesh, what a nerve-rackin' series of events.
Rackam: You say that every time, Vyrn. Or at least something like it.
Vyrn: Hehe, guess I do, huh?
The crew has successfully put a stop to Prime Minister Freesia's plans.
However, this is only the start to their journey, and the long path to Estalucia still lies ahead.
Vyrn: Huh? Is this yours, Rackam?
Vyrn picks up a disk-shaped object lying on the airship's deck.
Rackam: Nope, and it's not part of the airship. What even is that thing?
Vyrn: Well, if it's not yours, then I wonder whose it is. Maybe we can use it for something? But what's it doin' here?
Lyria: Looking at it kind of gives me...
Lyria: A warm, fuzzy feeling.
Io: Weird. I feel the same.
Rackam: Me too. My heart's poundin' kinda funny, but not in a bad way. How about we just leave it on the Grandcypher?
Vyrn: Sounds good to me!
Vyrn: Hm? (Captain), you all right there?
(Captain) can't shake the feeling that something is missing, but the right memories refuse to surface.
Still, one thought lingers—perhaps this is a parting gift from someone dear to them.
When the time comes, it may play a crucial role in their journey.
Vyrn: So where to next? We've been makin' a lotta pit stops. Not that that's a bad thing, 'course!
Lyria: I can't wait to see where we go next, (Captain)!
Planting a foot firmly on the deck, (Captain) ponders their next destination.
There's an unshakable sensation of someone watching over them, but in a sky otherwise full of danger, (Captain) is glad for the kindness this presence brings.
The End

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 1

Lyria: Our adventure's finally begun.
Vyrn: It sure has! It might be a long road ahead, but I can't wait to see what's lying in store for us!
Lyria: Were you and (Captain) already planning to leave the island before everything happened?
Vyrn: Yep. Going out there to find (Captain)'s dad has always been the plan. (Captain)'s dead set on it.
Vyrn: Problem was, we didn't exactly have an airship to get us anywhere, and the skies can be a pretty dangerous place. Least we could do was train ourselves every day.
Lyria: Wow... Things must have been tough.
Vyrn: Didn't take long for the three of us to get used to that life though. Each and every day was a blast!
Lyria: Haha... It's nice how you three were together all the time!
Vyrn: Mm-hm!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 2

Lyria: Is that sword you carry around a purchase you made somewhere, Gachapin?
Gachapin: This? Nuh-uh, it's something I picked up...
Lyria: Huh? What do you mean?
Gachapin: I found it deep in the forest we usually trained in.
Lyria: Wow... That's a really impressive find...
Gachapin: Mm-hm. It was sticking out of a rock for some reason. I always wondered why...
Lyria: A rock?
Gachapin: Yeah, I heard the sword was there for a really long time. No one else in the village was ever able to pull it out.
Lyria: Wow! I can't believe how strong you are, Gachapin!
Gachapin: Ehehe, our kitchen knife was a bit chipped at the time, so it was perfect timing that I found it when I did.
Lyria: You mean you used it for cooking?

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 3

Rackam: We've got a nice headwind blowing today—just the kind we need to get this ship movin'!
Rackam: Hmm-hm-hmmm...
Gachapin: Hrm...
Rackam: Hm-hmm-hmmm...
Gachapin: Hrm...
Rackam: ...
Rackam: How's it going, Gachapin?
Gachapin: Um... Can I ask you for a favor, Rackam?
Rackam: No, you can't.
Gachapin: Wha? But I haven't even said anything yet!
Rackam: I already know you're gonna ask to take the Grandcypher's controls.
Gachapin: Gulp...
Gachapin: Th-that's not it!
Gachapin: I'd never say such a thing. I was just going to ask if I could try holding the wheel.
Rackam: It's the same damn thing!
Rackam: Sigh... Get over here. I'll show you the ropes.
Gachapin: Huh? Really? Hooray! You're the best, Rackam!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 4

Gachapin: Hrm...
Vyrn: You think something's up with him? Gachapin's been starin' off into the ocean this whole time...
Lyria: Yeah, it worries me... What do you think Gachapin means when he says it reminds him of something?
Vyrn: I hate to say it, but if he can't remember for himself, then we can't even begin to guess.
Lyria: Oh, poor Gachapin... Isn't there something we can do?
Vyrn: Hm... Let's try talking to him!
Vyrn: Hey, Gachapin... You got somethin' on your mind? Tell us about it!
Gachapin: You see this surfboard?
Vyrn: That thing we picked up earlier?
Gachapin: If we stick a flagpole with a large cloth on it, the surfboard can probably sail on the wind.
Lyria: Huh?
Gachapin: Riding the waves using the wind—I call it windsurfing! What do you think?
Vyrn: Ooh...
Gachapin: I need to find a giant piece of cloth to use as a sail. I was just thinking of where to get one.
Gachapin: Oh, this is going to be so much fun!
Vyrn: So you were thinking about windsurfing the whole time?

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 5

Gachapin: Io's magic can be so useful.
Io: Hehe, tell me about it. All the training I've done has paid off.
Gachapin: Turning invisible seems especially fun.
Gachapin: I'd use it to tail Vyrn and surprise him with a "gwah!" when he least expects it.
Vyrn: Aw, gimme a break...
Gachapin: Hey, Io. Is there any way for me to use magic too?
Io: Um...
Gachapin: It looks hard, but maybe you can teach me.
Io: Wha!
Gachapin: Please?
Io: You're actually serious!
Vyrn: What's the big deal, Io? Teaching Gachapin a spell or two isn't too much to ask, is it? Magic's no cinch, so I'm sure he could use the guidance.
Io: We're talking about Gachapin here though! You've seen how fast he picks up everything he learns!
Io: If he becomes a master sage at the drop of a hat, where does that leave me with all the incredibly harsh training I've had to go through...
Vyrn: Yeah, I guess that wouldn't be the greatest feeling for ya...
Gachapin: Please, please, pretty please, Io. I want to try my hand at magic too!
Io: I-I don't think so! My magic's all mine!
Gachapin: Wait, please!
Vyrn: Sigh...

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 6

Rosetta: I've always meant to ask, Gachapin. What are those round shapes on your forearms?
Gachapin: Haha... Good question. These are Energy Balls!
Rosetta: Energy Balls?
Gachapin: My turn to ask a question!
Rosetta: Huh?
Gachapin: These Energy Balls are my source of strength and one other thing. Can you guess what that other thing is?
Gachapin: Ticktock, ticktock... Well, Rosetta? The clock is ticking.
Rosetta: My, what an interesting quiz. This could be fun.
Rosetta: Can I get a hint to start with?
Gachapin: Sure! It's a must-have for a journey through the skies, and it can help you grow stronger!
Rosetta: A must-have that helps you grow stronger...
Gachapin: Hm, maybe that wasn't enough of a hint.
Rosetta: Oh, but it was. I already know the answer.
Gachapin: Wow! I'm impressed, Rosetta! Let's hear it!
Rosetta: The answer is... love!
Gachapin: Bzz! Wrong! The correct answer is courage!
Rosetta: Oh? I was sure I had the right answer...
Gachapin: I think love is a wonderful thing, but it's a bit difficult to understand for a five-year-old like me.
Rosetta: Wait a second... Gachapin, you're only five?

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 7

Eugen: ...
Gachapin: Eugen... Eugen... You'll catch a cold if you sleep here.
Eugen: Mng... Hm? That you, Gachapin? Where'd Rackam go off to?
Gachapin: Sleeping, maybe? I haven't seen him...
Eugen: Damn it, Rackam... Some friend you are to just go off after seein' me slip into dreamland here from all that booze.
Gachapin: The two of you were drinking here?
Eugen: Yeah, we found ourselves some real quality stuff... Heheh!
Eugen: Only problem was we forgot the snacks and ended up downing plenty more than we should've.
Gachapin: Aw, you should've told me. I would've cooked something for you guys!
Eugen: If you're volunteering, then you'll be the first person I ask next chance I get.
Gachapin: Yay! Staying up late can be nice every once in a while. Haha, I'm looking forward to it.
Eugen: Why don't we have a glass right now? It can be our nightcap.
Gachapin: Nuh-uh-uh, I'm only five years old.
Eugen: Wha? Gachapin, you're seriously only five?

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 8

Gachapin: Hm, not here either.
Lyria: Gachapin, are you looking for something?
Gachapin: I was wondering if they have a shoe shop and a weapon shop in the area.
Io: Talk about a strange combination... What do you have in mind?
Gachapin: Well... I'll tell you, but don't tell anyone else, okay?
Gachapin: If I attach blades to the bottom of a pair of shoes, it should let me slide on ice.
Io: A blade beneath your shoes? Slide on ice? I have no idea what you're going on about...
Gachapin: You know how the water of a lake freezes up when it gets really cold? Having a special pair of shoes could help you get around.
Io: I'm not sure I get you... But we have a long road ahead of us. Maybe we'll find an island with some frozen surfaces along the way.
Lyria: Sliding instead of walking? That does sound very convenient. I'm not sure I'd be able to keep balance though...
Io: Forget about sliding—Gachapin could probably dance his way through any terrain.
Gachapin: Dance?
Gachapin: That's a great idea, Io!
Io: Huh?
Gachapin: Sliding across the ice while dancing sounds like so much fun! Even better if I can get some music to play!
Lyria: Gachapin on ice...
Io: Wearing bladed shoes...
Lyria & Io: Dancing to music?
Gachapin: I'm getting excited just thinking about it!
Io: While I'm having trouble just picturing it...
Lyria: Ahaha...
Lyria: I'm sure it'd be a lot of fun to watch at least! Gachapin always puts on a good show!
Io: I suppose we can start by helping him look for the shops!
Lyria: Right!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 9

Gachapin: Wow! There's a whole flock of birds flying down there beside the airship! Hello, birdies!
Mukku: Haha... Maybe they're migratory birds, heading to their next destination just like we are, yah see.
Mukku: At any rate, traveling the skies is such an incredible experience!
Gachapin: Mm-hm! Not only am I having the time of my life, but we even managed to find each other again!
Mukku: I'm having a blast too! I was lonely for a really long time, but every day's been so much fun lately!
Gachapin: Don't you just wanna... stay and enjoy what we have here for now, Mukku?
Mukku: Yes... I sure do!
Gachapin: Yeah, I want to stay here with everyone for a little longer...
Mukku: Mm-hm...
Mukku: Especially since they have so much yummy food in the skies, yah see!
Gachapin: Ahahaha! You can be such a foodie, Mukku!
Rackam: Hey, you two. We'll be making landfall soon.
Gachapin: Ah, okay!
Gachapin: I'm already excited just trying to imagine what the next island is gonna be like.
Mukku: Yeah, me too! Let's go back to the others!

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 10

Mukku: Even though I've gotten used to this lifestyle, I still can't remember anything, yah see...
Fellow Soldier: Hey, cheer up, Mukku. Your status as an imperial soldier is bound to earn you respect, not to mention you won't hafta worry 'bout makin' a living.
Mukku: Hm, you're right. I guess being a downer about things isn't going to help.
Fellow Soldier: That's more like it!
Fellow Soldier: Whoa! Mukku, time to salute! It's Captain Pommern...
Pommern: ...
Mukku: Good day, sir!
Pommern: Is it really?
Mukku: M-m-my apologies!
Pommern: By the way, has anyone ever told you that your fur might be a bit overgrown? Let's see here...
Mukku: Er, well, that's... I'm a bit ticklish there...
Pommern: My! What a silky sensation, I do say!
Pommern: So soft and warm to the touch... It's like I'm being caressed by gentle sunbeams carried by the spring breeze—
Pommern: Ahem!
What did you say your name was again?
Mukku: I-it's Mukku, sir.
Pommern: Mukku, eh? I'll remember that.
Mukku: And that's how I ended up working under Captain Pommern, yah see.
Vyrn: Yeah, I totally get where he was coming from! Your fur's really something else, Mukku.
Rackam: Sounds like the empire can be pretty whimsical...
Katalina: ...

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 11

Vyrn: That's gotta be it!
Lyria: I think so too!
Io: Nah, I say it's fashion.
Vyrn: Meh, that just doesn't seem right.
Lyria: He's probably hiding his real potential. I wouldn't be surprised if Mukku can do anything at all, just like Gachapin.
Mukku: M-me? What is everyone talking about?
Mukku: Is it okay if I join in? I love a good chat, yah see. Teehee.
Lyria: We were just talking about you, Mukku!
Mukku: I thought so... But what about, exactly?
Io: About that thing on top of your head, Mukku.
Mukku: You mean this propeller?
Vyrn: I'm guessing you can fly just like me once you get that thing spinning?
Mukku: Huh?
Lyria: You kept the fact that you can fly a secret, didn't you?
Io: No way. It's a fashion accessory, right?
Mukku: Er, actually... Well, yah see...
Mukku: I get hot really easily... So I use it as a fan to keep myself cool...
Mukku: That's all it's for, really... Sorry I can't fly...
Lyria: Oh... And now we know...
Io: You mean it's not for fashion? Oh... Sorry for making such a big deal out of it.
Vyrn: Yeah, our bad... That thing's surprisingly practical though...
Mukku: (Why are they apologizing so much!)

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 12

Vyrn: Gachapin, Mukku, what sorta things were you guys up to in the other world?
Mukku: Well, yah see... I think I should let Gachapin answer this one.
Gachapin: Hrm...
Gachapin: Hello, everyone! Gacha gacha pin pin, I'm Gachapin!
Mukku: I'm Mukku, the Mukkiest Mukku that ever Mukku'd!
Gachapin: We're going to have so much fun today!
Mukku: So make sure you tune in until the end! Haha!
Gachapin & Mukku: (How do we explain it?)

Gachapin, Mukku, and the Azure Adventure - Day 13

Gachapin: Mukku... Isn't this...
Mukku: Yes, it definitely is!
Gachapin & Mukku: Odaiba!
Mukku: So we're back... Whew, I was starting to miss this place.
Mukku: The town doesn't look any different. I wonder if time was moving at all while we were gone.
Gachapin: Hm, probably not...
Mukku: Gachapin... I'm worried about (Captain) and the others...
Gachapin: I-I promised myself I wouldn't cry when we said goodbye...
Gachapin: But here I am—
Mukku: I'm feeling lonely too, yah see!
Mukku: But Gachapin... Let's not forget we left something behind for them.
Mukku: I'm sure it'll empower them for their journey ahead, yah see.
Gachapin: Yeah... I guess you're right.
Mukku: Let's always keep our memories of the skies and (Captain)'s crew close to our hearts.
Mukku: That way, the fact that we were—and still are—friends with them won't ever change!
Gachapin: Yeah... Thanks, Mukku.
Mukku: Not at all!
Mukku: Let's get back! Everyone's waiting for us!
Gachapin: Yeah, let's go!
Gachapin and Mukku return to their everyday lives at Odaiba.
But no matter how busy things get, the duo never forgets to take a moment to turn toward the vast, blue skies and recall the many wonderful memories they shared with (Captain) and company...
It is in those moments that the dinosaur and yeti pray for the continued success of the crew's journey.
