Alchemist's Desire - Chapter 2: Dreamt, Sought - Episode 3
Unable to find any leads, the crew decides to take a break when (Captain) and Cagliostro notice two people following them. Cagliostro calls out to the two, who turn out to be Mireille and Risette. Mireille beseeches Cagliostro to teach her alchemy.
The fact that Paracelsus may be in town deeply unsettles the crew.
They continue talking with the townspeople in hopes of finding more about the Alchemist Guild of Helmuth and its plans.
However, no one seems to have any information on the guild, leaving the crew still at square one.
Vyrn: I can't believe we haven't managed to find a single clue...
Cagliostro: Hmph, he's definitely good at playing hard to get.
Cagliostro: Besides, he probably knows we're onto him and is taking extra measures to hide himself.
Clarisse: Hey, (Captain)! Master! Take a look at this! They cut all this fruit into such pretty shapes! Isn't it amazing?
Lyria: Oh my goodness! These desserts are so beautiful... It's almost like they're made of glass!
Fruit Artisan: It's not easy mastering this sort of craftsmanship—the result of many years of practice.
Fruit Artisan: Still, I wanted to make something not only for eating, but to be enjoyed visually too.
Clarisse: Wow! It's so detailed... I definitely wouldn't be able to do something like this.
Patissier: The secret to making these desserts has been passed down in my family for many generations. I'm the only one who can make them now.
Patissier: Since you won't be finding these anywhere else, how would you like to try some?
Lyria: Oh, thank you very much!
Clarisse and Lyria are mesmerized by all the fruit and desserts being sold at the shop.
The others watch from afar, amused.
Vyrn: Why don't we take a break for now? We've been walkin' around for a while anyway.
Cagliostro: Guess it can't be helped... Then let's head over to the plaza over there—
Cagliostro: ...?
All of a sudden, Cagliostro turns to look behind them.
Mireille: ...
Cagliostro: Have you noticed too, (Captain)? Those two seem to have some business with us.
Choose: Are they from the guild?
Cagliostro: I don't think so. I'm not sensing any hostility from them, unlike the lot we just beat up.
Cagliostro: Doesn't seem like they're entranced by me either, despite me being the cutest girl in history.
Cagliostro: Which leaves us with only one option. We're gonna have to go talk to them.
Choose: Let's go talk to them.
Cagliostro: Heh, that's so you...
Cagliostro: I agree. I'm not sensing any hostility from them, so it should be safe enough.

(Captain) nods and slowly approaches the two strangers together with Cagliostro.
Cagliostro: Hi there, you two! Did you have something you wanted from us?
Mireille: U-um... Can I ask you something?
Mireille: You're an alchemist, aren't you?
Cagliostro: Yep. Hm, but that means...
Cagliostro: You were following us around without even knowing who I was. What're you after exactly?
Mireille: Um... I have a request! Could you please teach me alchemy?
The girl lowers her head into a bow.
Surprised by the unexpected question, (Captain) and Cagliostro look at each other, puzzled.
