Sky God
After a splitting headache one night, Vyrn finds himself face to face with the sky god in an unfamiliar place. Addressing Vyrn as a restoration vessel, it requests an update on (Captain)'s activities, then synchronizes with the little red dragon.
A deafening roar—a birthing of certain possibilities—rumbles across the Sky Realm.
???: You have come far.
There is only one who can hear the voice.
Vyrn: Yawn... Is it mornin' already?
Vyrn: Wish you'd lemme know if you're gonna open the curtain—
Vyrn: Gwaaaah!
Vyrn screams in torturous agony as the sensation of being split in half racks his body.
He can do little more than shriek in terror at the thought of his own existential division and the world's metamorphosis.
Vyrn: What the... Stop it already!
The pain is fleeting yet eternal. Or perhaps the little dragon has simply lost consciousness from the excruciating pain.
When the pain has finally subsided, Vyrn looks around to see the scenery before him has completely transformed.
Vyrn: Where am I...
???: The connection with the restoration vessel is strong.
Vyrn: Who in blue blazes are you...
???: It appears the memory seal is still active. Your vessel status is acknowledged. Let it be known who I am.
???: I am the whole of the skies, the twin of the stars. To use the designation skydwellers have given me, I am god.
Vyrn: God... of the Sky Realm?
Sky God: For the time being, that title will do.
Sky God: Restoration vessel, give me an account of all that the singularity has encountered thus far.
Vyrn: Wh-wha? For starters, you can't just lay this "god" business on me and then expect me to have a clue what you're goin' on about!
Vyrn: How do I even know if you're gonna play nice with (Captain)!
Sky God: Tell me.
Vyrn: Beginning synchronization of all memories pertaining to the singularity as observed by the restoration vessel, Vyrn.
A solemn silence fills the air.
The synchronization of memories proceeds smoothly.
