Tour of the Palace
Lily's child-like explanations about the palace only serve to mystify the Crystalia even further. Nonetheless she is elated at the chance to show the crew around.
(Captain) and company pay a visit to the Ice Crystal Palace to assist Lily in her mission.
The crew is in utter awe and amazement at the dazzling luster and austere cold of the palace.
Lily is overjoyed at this chance to show everyone around the palace.
Lily: Okay, we're underground now! Welcome to the first level! This is the dining room!
Vyrn: Hm? We've come this far down, but it's still the first level?
Lyria: Yay, the dining room! Mm, that smells so good... I think it's coming from those shelves.
Lily: Yeah, seems like it... I wonder what's for dinner!
Lily: Charge! In we go!
Vyrn: Whoa, that's a lot of fresh vegetables! We're practically surrounded by 'em!
Vyrn: Wait, there's nothing but vegetables in here. Crystalia must be really health-conscious!
Lily: Yeah, we only eat vegetables! I guess you could say we're vegetarians.
Lyria: Huh? But Lily... All those meals you had with us had meat in them...
Lily: Oh, it's okay for me! I just love eating!
Lily: The others don't take much interest in eating, so I want to share the joy with them!
Lyria: Sounds fun. I'll help! Eating is so much fun after all!
Vyrn: Haha! Your crazy appetite must've passed on to her, Lyria!
Lyria: Grr! That's not nice, Vyrn!
Lily: Grr! That's not nice, Vyrn!
Vyrn: Ahaha! You see what I mean?
Lily: On to the second level! This is our information center!
Vyrn: Hm? So this is where you have your library...
Vyrn: I see you have some books here, but aren't most of these just slabs of ice shaped liked books?
Lyria: Yeah, I don't see anything written on these slabs of ice. The way they glitter is really strange though.
Lily: The Snow Maiden made them for us! They're like our version of books.
Lily: Look, look, over here!
Lily touches one of the slabs of ice, sparking a change in its surface.
Colors swirl and a brilliant scene of scurrying animals atop the highlands of some far-off island materializes.
Lyria: Wow! A picture just came up!
Vyrn: Whoa, it's moving! How is that possible?
Lily: Ahaha. Amazing, right?
Lily: The memories of the princesses traveling the world are recorded here.
Lily: Of all the things I and the other princesses have seen... The most important ones are recorded as memories in these books.
Lyria: Wow, I've never seen anything like this! Crystalia are amazing!
Vyrn: Yeah, this is so different from what we know. I guess there's a lot more to the world than we thought.
Lily: Ready for the tenth level? Ta-da! This is the propagation room!
Vyrn: Huh, the propa-what? What's that supposed to mean?
Lyria: What do you do here? Tell us what this propagation means, Lily.
Lily: Huh? Er, umm... Propagation...
Lily: Propagation? Propagation... propagation...
Vyrn: Saying propagation over and over again doesn't tell us anything!
Lily: Sorry, but this is actually my first time here!
Lily: The Snow Maiden said this is where we increase our numbers!
Lyria: Increase your numbers?
Vyrn: Erm... What's that supposed to mean?
Lily: ...?
Crystalia: Ack! Lily, what are you doing here?
Lily: Aah! I didn't do anything wrong! I'm just showing my friends around.
Crystalia: Sigh... It's okay to show your friends around the palace, but you have to skip this floor!
Lily: Hrm? But why?
Crystalia: Not another word. Shoo, go back the way you came!
Lily: And we're back at the entrance!
Lily: That's it for the tour of the Ice Crystal Palace! I hope you understand us Crystalia better now.
Vyrn: We sorta got it... You could also say we're kinda more confused too...
Lyria: Ahahaha... It's okay. We'll keep working on it!
Lily: Umm... Did I give a bad tour?
Lily: But I can make up for it! There are other things I can tell you about!
Lily: For example...
Lily: Ah, right! We like playing cat's cradle!
Lily: Oh, oh, and we love flowers! We also love the soft flakiness of bread! There, does that help?
Erin: But that's from your point of view, Lily.
Lily: Yikes! Where'd you come from?
Erin: Sigh... She can be a bit strange. Even among us Crystalia, she's one of a kind.
Vyrn: Whoa... As if the Crystalia weren't strange enough already!
Lily: Huh? Am I that strange?
Lyria: Don't worry, Lily! I think it's a wonderful thing to be special!
Lily: Really? Yay, I got a compliment from Lyria!
Lily: I'm so glad for the chance to show everyone around! I'll try even harder from now on!
Thus ends the crew's tour of Lily's beloved hometown.
Lily smiles with satisfaction, content with having fulfilled her personal goals—separate from that of her mission as a Crystalia.
