Small Maiden, Unknown World

Sara finds the hustle and bustle of city life overwhelming. (Captain) and company tell her about their travels, but she's never seen the outside world, much less an airship. Lyria sees herself in Sara and invites her to join the crew.

The crew meets Sara in a town surrounded by the sands of the Brillet Desert.
She's a quiet girl, but she soon opens up to Lyria about her past.
Lyria: I see... So you haven't gone outside much?
Sara: Nope. I've never gone outside to play or even shop. I can't believe how full of people the town is.
Lyria: I know! I remember the first time I saw a town. Oh my gosh!
Sara: You too? It's so hectic, and there's so much going on. I just have to stop and stare.
Lyria: Hee-hee. Yeah, I try to take it all in too. The people passing by, their clothes, goods in store windows, shop signboards... All of it!
Sara: Yeah! But the way the rest of you walk along without getting distracted is just incredible. I guess it's no big deal to you, huh?
Vyrn: Nah, that's not true. I mean, me and (Captain) came from the country, so the city was a real shock at first.
Vyrn: But you get used to it, you know? That's probably why nobody in town gets distracted. They've seen it all before.
Sara: Really? But there's so much to see. Will I really get used to it?
Vyrn: Yep. And when you feel like seeing something new, you go on a journey! On an airship!
Sara: An airship? You mean one of those flying vehicles? The things skyfarers use to go from island to island?
Sara: I'd like to see an airship too. They must be enormous. I can't even begin to imagine.
Lyria: You know what? You should try riding one instead of just looking!
Sara: What? But I...
  1. Not a fan of heights?
  2. Not a fan of traveling?

Choose: Not a fan of heights?

Sara: No, that's not it. I enjoy looking out at the town from atop the castle tower, so I must not be afraid of heights.
Sara: Oh! But airships fly even higher than that, don't they? Maybe that would be scary.

Choose: Not a fan of traveling?

Sara: Well... Hmm... I'm sorry, but I've never traveled, so I don't really know.
Sara: Still, going to new places and seeing things you've never seen before sounds really fun.

Lyria: Then you should see for yourself what it's like, Sara!
Sara: What? Lyria... Um... What do you mean?
Lyria: Hey, (Captain)! I want to travel with Sara.
Lyria: I was locked away for so long, but then Katalina let me out, and I got to meet you, (Captain).
Lyria: Hee-hee. And then I learned that the outside world is wonderful and fun. I want Sara to feel that way too.
Sara: Lyria...
Sara: Please, (Captain)... Um... Could you take me with you?
Sara: Someone's finally told me that it's okay to leave. And for the first time, I really want to!
Vyrn: Good grief... Don't be so formal, Sara! Right, (Captain)? There's no way you'll turn her down after she asked you like that, right?
Sara: Really? Thank you so much, (Captain)!
Sara: Um... I'm sort of afraid of monsters, but I'll try not to be a burden!
Sara: I can help with... well, maybe not cooking, but I can clean and do laundry!
Lyria: Wow! You must be talented, Sara!
Vyrn: Ha-ha! Compared to you anyway! You remember that fiasco the other day?
Lyria: Aw... I'll get better eventually! I'm still learning!
Sara: I'll need to learn all the ins and outs of journeying too. Thank you so much for this opportunity!
And so Sara takes her first step into the outside world. How will her journey and its many surprises shape her?
As Sara decides to leave, the Sand God Graphos, who has been with her since she was young, continues to kindly watch over her.
