Created by the Stars, Loved by the Skies - The War - Chapter 1: The Ashen Precipice - Episode 2

The girl introduces herself as Yuni, saying she has come to both present the truth of the world's history and ascertain the singularity's will. (Captain) and Lyria are then engulfed by recollections of the War.

A third voice sounds without warning.
???: So you want to know how you fit in with the world.
???: As well as why someone would want you to disappear forever. Am I right?
Returning the gaze of those beautiful yet mysterious eyes, (Captain) readily nods.
???: I see.
Lyria: Um, excuse me, but... Who might you be?
Yuni: I am Yuni. Singularity, it is my duty to show you the truth of the world and to question your resolve.
Lyria: Yuni... So you call (Captain) the singularity too.
Lyria: We've met others who did the same.
Lyria: Does being the singularity have something to do with being an enemy of the world?
The girl calling herself Yuni stares blankly back at Lyria.
Yuni: Tell me something, Singularity.
Yuni: You went in front of your friends and willingly accepted the arbitrator's judgment.
Yuni: Why? Was it not because you conceded?
Lyria: (Captain)...
  1. I wanted to keep my friends safe.
  2. I was in a daze.

Choose: I wanted to keep my friends safe.

Yuni: Even if that meant your death?
After the slightest hesitation, (Captain) nods.
Yuni: I see...
Go to "Continue 1"

Choose: I was in a daze.

Lyria: (Captain) protected me... Protected all of us.
Lyria: (Captain)'s always prioritized our safety first.
Lyria: That's why I—
Yuni: Okay, I get it.

Continue 1

Lyria: Um... Can you tell us where we are, Yuni? What happened to us?
Yuni: This is neither the Sky nor Astral Realm. Nor is it the land of the living or the dead. We're in an entirely closed-off space.
Yuni: Your demise has already been felt by your friends, but you were brought here before your lives were whisked away completely.
Lyria: So... we're dead, but we're also not dead?
Lyria: Meaning... there's still a way back?
Yuni: If that is what you wish.
Lyria: Then...
Yuni: But for that to happen, there is something you must know first.
Yuni looks straight into (Captain)'s eyes.
Yuni: It is the will of the Astrals—the power of arbitration which watches over the skies—that passed judgment on you.
Yuni: You may find it brazen for the remnants of Astral power to do such a thing. However...
Lyria: Remnants of Astral power... You mean primal beasts?
Yuni enters a brief silence.
Yuni: Girl in Blue...
Lyria: Y-yes?
Yuni: As one who commands primal beasts and shares a life link with the singularity, you have a right to—
Yuni: No, perhaps I should say it is your obligation to know.
Lyria: (Captain) and I share a beating heart.
Gran is the Main Character

Lyria: If there's anything (Captain) must know, then I should know it too.
Djeeta is the Main Character

Lyria: If there's anything (Captain) must know, then I should know it too.
Yuni: Very well.
Yuni: From a mortal's perspective, it's going to feel like an exceptionally long journey...
Yuni: But I want you to learn, think, and choose for yourself.
Yuni: The meaning of life for those who live between the skies and the stars.
In the next moment, their sterile surroundings suddenly explode with activity.
The air trembles, and the waves swell.
Lyria: This is—
Staring wide-eyed at the sight before them, (Captain) and Lyria tighten their grip on each other's hands.
Yuni: I will take you back to the time when the lives of skydwellers and Astrals were changed forever.
Lyria: Um... When would that be?
Yuni: The time of the War.
Yuni: You may feel that this has nothing to do with you. Because in essence, what you're about to witness is all in the past.
Yuni: Watch and observe as happiness abounds, along with all the pain and tragedy.
Yuni: Focus on the ripples of time, and you shall know...
Yuni: The history of life.
Astral 1: This core's completed. There should be no issue with its design.
An Astral is processing primal crystals to create cores.
Astral 1: If only we could make the process more efficient somehow...
Astral 1: Given that core production is something only us Astrals are capable of, I suppose there's no other way to go about it.
Astral 1: Awaken.
???: ...
Astral 1: Newborn primal. Is everything functioning well?
???: Yes...
Astral 1: You'll go for a trial run directly on the battlefield.
???: The battlefield...
Astral 1: Your name shall be Baldr. Join the front lines and fulfill your duty, primal.
Baldr: Understood.
