Seeing Attiyah caught between avenging his father and his love for Tabina, Stan talks about his own experiences and how he had once disappointed Aliza. Hearing Stan's story, Attiyah finds his determination renewed and heads to Tabina's house once more.

(Captain) and company manage to shake off the men from Ahabak and hide themselves in a room at the inn.

As the sound of the men's gearcycles fades into the distance, the crew sighs with relief.

Meanwhile, Attiyah ponders over the connection between his family and Wahid's.

Attiyah: (What the heck! So my grandpa killed Tabina's grandfather...)

Attiyah: (Then Wahid killed my grandpa and attacked my dad.)

Attiyah: (My brain can hardly keep up...)

Stan: Attiyah, you okay?

Attiyah: I didn't think I'd ever be able to find the man who attacked my father. And that of all people...

A mix of emotions wells up inside Attiyah. He pushes it back, clenching his fists tightly.

Stan: You said earlier that if you ever found the culprit, you'd kill him. Does that mean...

Attiyah: I meant it back there. But I never thought it'd turn out this way...

Attiyah: Both my dad and my mom suffered so much... As a result, I was always alone as a kid...

Attiyah: Yeah... If he's lookin' for a fight, then I'll give him one...

Stan: Attiyah! Come on, is that really what you want?

Attiyah: Shut up! It's my problem, not yours. So stay out of it!

Tabina: Attiyah... I, too, want to live for our love!

Revenge, or love. Attiyah's heart wavers as a memory of Tabina's smile comes to mind.

Attiyah: (Will I have to give up on Tabina? Can I?)

Attiyah: (The answer is clear. Then why am I findin' it so hard to make a decision?)

Lyria: I wonder... if Tabina knows about this as well.

Attiyah: Who knows...

Stan: ...

(Captain) and the others look worriedly at Attiyah, unable to find the right words to say.

Stan: Hey, Attiyah. You might not like hearing this from me, but...

Stan: Nothing good comes out of struggling by yourself, you know.

Stan: There was a time when I was dying from a disease. All I could think of was how not to make Aliza sad.

Stan: In the end, I thought I could just leave her and disappear. That way, I'll just die alone.

Attiyah: Die... alone?

Stan: Yeah. Looking back, I want to punch myself for even thinking that. I tried to isolate myself and ended up causing trouble for everyone.

Vyrn: Oh man, I'll never forget that! Aliza was so mad.

Lyria: All of us were really worried too!

Stan: Yeah... I'll never be able to apologize enough for that. It was really stupid of me.

Aliza: I won't let Stan die all alone... I absolutely won't...

Aliza: If Stan dies like this, I want to go with him too!

Stan: Don't say that sort of thing! If you were to die, I wouldn't... I...

Aliza: It's worse for me! I can't take this!

Aliza: Dying in front of my eyes, or dying all by yourself, it's the same! I can't bear to lose you, Stan!

Stan: Aliza...

Recalling his mistake in the past, Stan gives a sad smile.

Taking a deep breath, he pulls himself together and turns to Attiyah with a serious look on his face.

Stan: I regretted what I did so much. I asked myself why I didn't talk more openly with Aliza.

Stan: So don't face this struggle by yourself. It might be scary at first, but you should talk with Tabina about this.

Attiyah: Stan...

Stan: We might not be able to find any answers here, but Tabina is in the same situation as you. The two of you should be able to come up with something together.

Stan: Because you know the love between you and Tabina is true!

Attiyah: Stan... Thanks, man.
You're right. Rackin' my brain again and again like this—it just isn't me.

Attiyah: All right! I'm gonna go and talk to Tabina. We'll think of somethin' after that.

Stan: The guys from Ahabak should be looking for us all over the place, so if you're gonna head back to the house, now's the chance!

And with that, Attiyah makes up his mind. He and the rest of the crew set out to find Tabina at her house.
