Forging a New Link
A few days after her conversation with the Three-Tiger Axe, Threo approaches (Captain) with a request to become family. Though initially confused, (Captain) wholeheartedly accepts after hearing Threo's desire to deepen her bonds with her friends and become powerful enough to protect them. With a stalwart resolve in her heart, Threo eagerly continues her path to true strength.
Several days pass since Threo and the Three-Tiger Axe came to an understanding.
Today Threo is having a routine sparring session with (Captain).
Threo: Eat this!
The Eternal takes a huge swing at the captain.
But (Captain) recognizes the drawback that comes with such a flashy move and knocks the axe out of her hands.
Threo: Ow...
Threo: Damn. I lost again, even though I had you for sure this time...
Lyria: No matter how many times I see you two practice, it always makes me nervous.
Threo: I'm still no match for (Captain), huh... Gotta bust outta this rut and get tougher.
Threo: And there's only one way to do that. Hey, (Captain). Let's you and I start a family together.
Lyria and Vyrn: ...
Lyria: Wh-wh-what!
Lyria: You want to s-start a... Wait, Threo! What are you talking about?
Threo: Is something wrong? If a family's no good, how about a pack! Tree-Hugger said that'd be okay too.
Lyria: Erm... What does this have to do with hugging trees?
Vyrn: I think she's talking about the Three-Tiger Axe.
Threo: Yeah, that's who I meant! Anyway, I need you guys to help me get more powerful.
Threo: The closer you guys are to me, the harder I'll want to fight for you.
Threo: Plus as we grow closer together, my purpose will become clearer too.
Threo: That should put me on the fast track to standing at the top of the food chain! Or something like that!
Vyrn: So you want to build a stronger relationship with us as if we were family.
Lyria: Oh, that's what you meant. I thought you were talking about...
Lyria breathes a deep sigh of relief.
Threo: Besides, I feel a lot more comfortable when you guys are with me.
Threo: I don't wanna lose that or any of the crew. So being a family sounds like a good idea to me.
Choose: I agree. Family it is.
Threo: Thanks, (Captain)! Starting from today, we're one big happy family!
Choose: Are you a big sis or little sis?
Threo: Hm? Either works for me.
Threo: Oh, how about this! If I beat you, I get to be Big Sis.
Threo: And if you win, you'll be my big brother.

Threo: What do you think?
Vyrn: Why am I not surprised she'd use a fight to decide?
Lyria: Ahaha... It's a very Threo-like answer.
Threo: We can figure out all that stuff later. All that matters is we're family now!

Threo: And sticking together is what families do!
Threo flashes a toothy grin.
The others can't help but smile back at the look of pure joy on her face.
Threo: So then (Captain) said it was cool to be a family! I never thought hearing something like that could make me so happy!
Three-Tiger Axe: Well done. But do not rest upon those laurels if thou wishes to make thy dream come true.
Threo: Yeah... I'm like (Captain)'s protector-in-training now.
Threo: (Captain) is at the top of the pack, watching over everyone else.
Threo: That's the kind of person I swore to keep out of danger.
Threo: But surpassing (Captain) is the only way I can do that.
Threo: It's impossible to protect someone if you're weaker than them! That wouldn't make any sense!
Three-Tiger Axe: A fine sentiment, so long as that resolve is not forgotten.
There are important people in Threo's life. People she wishes to protect.
She keeps that feeling close to her heart, vowing once more to become the strongest warrior in the skies.
All for the sake of spending a peaceful future with (Captain) and the crew.
