Hymn of the Skies

Another beautiful day for the Grandcypher to soar through the skies, along with the girls visiting from another world. A mysterious airship suddenly attacks the crew. It turns out the opposing crew has taken on an assignment to vanquish the demon ruler Ranko and are here to carry it out. They unleash golems which end up malfunctioning and attacking their own ship.

Another fine day to soar through the skies for the crew and the girls from another world.
Vyrn: Heheh! You've gotten really strong, Ranko!
Uzuki: Ranko-chan's magic is just amazing.
Miria: Yeah! You're so dependable, Ranko! You're the best!
Ranko: Mwahaha... My devout followers, surrender yourselves to the auspices of your demon lord!
Ranko: (I'm just glad I can help! You can count on me anytime!)
Sachiko: Ranko-san's nowhere near as good as me, but I'll admit she's moderately amazing.
Sachiko: Anyway, doesn't Ranko-san resemble me a bit?
Uzuki: Umm... What do you mean by that?
Sachiko: From the wings to the horn and... Don't you think that's going a bit too far?
Ranko: Umm...
Sachiko: Originality is, after all, super important to a pop idol. So this is...
Uzuki: Ah... Well you know... I see what you're saying, Sachiko-chan, but...
Miria: Umm, is there that much of a resemblance? You two look completely different to me.
Miria: It's almost like Ranko-chan's a dark angel, but Sachiko-chan's a little devil!
Sachiko: A little devil? What a nice thing to say. That describes someone as cute as me perfectly.
Ranko: A fallen angel dyes its wings black and undergoes a transformation to demon ruler.
Ranko: (Demon rulers could start out as angels, you know.)
Uzuki: Teehee. Angel? Devil? Sounds like you'd make the perfect duo!
Their giggling and cheery voices help pass the time.
Vyrn: Huh? What's with that airship? It's headed this way...
Skyfarer 1: Calling out to the airship there!
Is that a demon ruler you have on deck?
Lyria: Umm, well...
Ranko: Mwahaha... Indeed, I am the demon ruler Brunnhilde! (Hi! I'm a demon ruler!)
Skyfarer 1: Turns out we were right... Let's do this, guys!
Uzuki: Eep!
The mysterious airship suddenly launches an assault on the Grandcypher.
Vyrn: Whoa! What are you doing all of a sudden!
Skyfarer 2: Hah! Stop playing dumb! We're here to wipe out the demon ruler!
Miria: Huh? Demon ruler? You mean Ranko-chan?
Ranko: No way!
Sachiko: Aagh! W-wait! What's happening?
Ranko: No!
Ranko gets in front of everyone and deflects the cannon fire with her weapon's magic.
Skyfarer 1: Curses! Wretched demon ruler!
Ranko: ...!
Ranko goes on to deflect every blast of cannonfire, ensuring the safety of her friends.
Miria: That was incredible, Ranko-chan!
Sachiko: Good going!
Uzuki: That's Ranko-chan for you! She made sure not to deflect it straight back at them too!
Ranko: You will not bring harm to followers under the sanctuary of my darkness! (I'll protect everyone!)
Skyfarer 2: Damn it! We won't lose this one!
Ranko: Such foolishness... To drown in your own power. (Please stop this already!)
Vyrn: That's right! Cut it out already! She hasn't done anything to deserve this!
Uzuki: Huh? Vyrn-san, you can understand what Ranko-chan's saying now?
Miria: Oh yeah, now that you mention it...
But right now we have more important things to worry about!
Skyfarer 1: Oy! We aren't making any headway like this! It's time for our ace in the hole!
Golem: Grooon...
Vyrn: Ugh! They're going all out now!
Skyfarer 2: All right! Time to turn the tables!
Golem: Groo... Groon!
Skyfarer 2: Aargh!
...?
Skyfarer 1: Here we... Huh? Why is it coming this way?
Vyrn: Oh no! It must be out of control!
Ranko: Watch out!

Hymn of the Skies: Scene 2

Ranko protects everyone, even the opposing crew, putting an end to the incident. Ranko feels sorry for the trouble she brings upon the crew. Thankfully the crew is quick to cheer her up and she is back to her usual self again.

Golem: ...!
Ranko and crew work together to stop the golem rampage.
Vyrn: Whew, that was a close one. It's a good thing no one's hurt!
Skyfarer 1: How could this be... The demon ruler... Why—
Vyrn: Look who's talking! Why are you so hung up on Ranko?
Skyfarer 2: Tch... We were only trying to complete an assignment!
Sachiko: An assignment? You were doing this as a job?
According to the skyfarers, someone with the title of demon ruler has been going around causing a ruckus. People in fear sent in a request to vanquish this demon ruler.
Vyrn: Well, I don't know about any ruckus. But it's true she's been calling herself a demon ruler, and we've been fighting primal beasts, monsters, and whatnot...
Vyrn: I mean, sure, she speaks in tongues sometimes, but she's not a bad person!
Lyria: That's right! Ranko-chan is a kind, caring person!
Ranko: Ah, Crimson Beast and Azure Maiden... (Vyrn-kun, Lyria-chan...)
Uzuki: Ehehe! Ranko-chan is kind, genuine, and strong! We're so glad to have her as our friend!
Ranko blushes as her friends compliment her one after another.
Ranko: S-stop it already!
Vyrn: Haha! Nothing to be shy about!
Seeing the crew vouch for Ranko, the skyfarers breathe a sigh of relief.
Skyfarer 1: Whew... Come to think of it, she hardly looks like a treacherous demon ruler...
Skyfarer 2: Yeah... And she did save us back there.
The skyfarers politely apologize and fly off, putting an end to the incident.
Ranko: ...
Uzuki: Ranko-chan, what's wrong? You don't look too well...
Miria: Oh no... Did you get hurt back there? Tell me you're okay!
Ranko: Never did I intend my devout followers to be scorched in the wake of my flames of destiny... (This whole mess is my fault...)
Ranko: Forgive me...
Ranko, feeling crestfallen, gives an apologetic bow.
Uzuki: No, Ranko-chan! It's not your fault!
Lyria: That's right, Ranko-chan! You saved not just us but those skyfarers too!
Ranko: But...
Sachiko: Have more faith in yourself, Ranko-san! Even a cutie like me here is acknowledging you!
Vyrn: For sure, you're the best we could ask for in a friend, Ranko! Isn't that right, (Captain)?
(Captain) gently nods in response.
Ranko: My dear friend... Everyone... (Captain, everyone...)
Ranko: Very well... You may continue to look forward to the sanctuary of my ebony wings. (I'll keep doing my best!)
Ranko: Th-thank you!
The crew smiles in response to a beaming Ranko.
Peaceful laughter fills the clear blue skies.

Return of the Demon Ruler

On the way to meet their client, the crew catches sight of the ancient castle where they first met Ranko. The client, who happens to be the elder of a nearby village, describes the things that have been haunting the castle. He wants the crew to vanquish the monsters around the castle. From a distance Ranko and Lyria are terrified to see the shadow of a woman inside the castle, taking it for a ghost. Yet they march on and arrive in front of the castle where monsters show up.

After having traveled with Ranko for some time, the crew stops by a village.
Ranko: Huh?
Ranko: Ngh... Could these be... memories from a previous life? (This all seems so familiar...)
Vyrn: What's that? Memories from a past life?
Ah, I get it! You've seen it before!
Vyrn: Well, this place is near the ancient castle we first found you in after all!
Ranko: Ahh... The primordial barrier's presence stands strong as always. (Wow, that castle brings back memories!)
Vyrn: Hm? You want to go take a look? Our assignment has to come first though.
Lyria: Yeah, you're right. I think the elderly person over there is who we're looking for?
Village Elder: Ah, thank you for coming out here, skyfarers... Hrm? Aren't you...
Ranko: Huh?
Village Elder: Could it be? Are you not Demon Ruler Brunnhilde?
Ranko: Thou knowest my true name! (Yup! That's me!)
Village Elder: Hm, but if you're traveling with these skyfarers, then who's in that castle right now?
Vyrn: Huh? What do you mean, gramps?
Village Elder: Well, this is related to the assignment I have for you, but...
Village Elder: Monsters that usually don't show up in these parts have been lurking in the forests around the village lately.
Village Elder: And they seem to be especially rampant around the castle deep inside the forest.
Lyria: Erm... That castle is where Demon Ruler Brunnhilde-san used to be, right?
Village Elder: Yes. Our scouts tell us of strange shadows accompanying a female voice coming from inside the castle.
Village Elder: That's why we thought you had returned...
Ranko: My journey across the welkin has not allowed me to grace the ancient forest with my presence...
Ranko: (I haven't been back to the castle ever since leaving for the skies...)
Vyrn: She's been traveling with us, so that's definitely not her.
Village Elder: I figured as much.
Lyria: Okay, so our mission is to search the castle grounds, right?
Village Elder: Not quite. Our first priority is for you to take care of the monsters.
Village Elder: However their connection to the castle is almost unmistakable.
Vyrn: Ah, right. You did say those types of monsters don't show up here. What an oddball case we're dealing with here!
Ranko: Mwahaha... My infinite wisdom and glorious radiance shall shine through the darkness of night! (No worries. I'll make sure it all turns out okay!)
Village Elder: Umm, wisdom? Darkness of night?
Vyrn: I think she's trying to say there's no need to worry because we'll take care of it!
Village Elder: Ahh! You have my utmost gratitude, Demon Ruler! Thank you so much!
Ranko: To allay the fears of my people is my duty...
Ranko: (Just doing what anyone else would!)
Vyrn: All right then! Let's go check out that forest!
Lyria: Umm...
Vyrn: Hm? What's wrong, Lyria? Ain't no time for standing around! We have to keep moving.
Lyria: Wait! Over there in the castle is...
Lyria: Erm... Th-that's not a ghost, is it?
Ranko: ...!
Vyrn: A ghost? Oh come on, Lyria.
Lyria: I mean, just look! It sounds like a girl, and we can only see its shadow. What's more there are monsters all over!
Lyria: Brr... Could that really be...
Ranko: Eep!
Vyrn: Whoa! What's wrong now?
Ranko: Ugh...
Vyrn: I guess you don't handle ghosts all that well either?
Ranko: Th-the walking dead are a desecration to the purity of life... (This stuff creeps me out...)
Vyrn: Sigh... I guess you're scared after all.
Lyria: Ahh... I know how you feel, Ranko-chan.
Vyrn: Oh boy, that's not helping things. If we turn back now, the old man's gonna be so disappointed.
Ranko: Th-the contract shall not be revoked! (Well, a promise is a promise! We'll do our part!)
Lyria: Ah, Ranko-chan! Wait!
Ranko marches onward, slightly trembling along the way, while Lyria tries to catch up.
Lyria: Um, why don't we hold hands as we go?
Ranko: Azure Maiden... (Lyria-chan...)
Vyrn: Sigh... We should get going too, (Captain).
Ranko: I can sense the primordial barrier... (The castle should be just ahead now...)
Vyrn: Ah, here we are! This is...
Monsters: Grooar!
Lyria: Eek!
Vyrn: These must be the monsters the old man talked about. Let's do this, (Captain)!

Return of the Demon Ruler: Scene 2

The crew notice the unusually thick atmosphere as they step into the castle. They draw their weapons to fight off the monsters that show up when the ceiling suddenly comes crashing down with a dragon. Ranko is all hyped to fight a real dragon as the crew follows behind her.

Vyrn: Phew, looks like that's all of them.
Lyria: Yeah... They looked just like normal monsters to me though.
Vyrn: Well, sure they might look normal to us, but these monsters usually don't show up in this area.
Ranko: We must seek out the forbidden key of my former abode... (There must be some sort of hint inside the castle...)
Lyria: Ah, right... I'm still kind of scared, but I'll manage!
Vyrn: This place feels different from our last visit... It almost seems more oppressive...
Lyria: There's nothing here, right? I don't see anyone either...
Ranko: The curtains of total darkness and tranquility seek to embrace me... (It's so dark and quiet...)
???: I call...
Now go...
Ranko: Eek!
Lyria: Eep!
Ranko's and Lyria's hearts skip a beat as they hear the voice of a slender girl from the top of the stairs leading to the second floor. They hold each other tightly in fear.
Vyrn: What was that? It sounded like a chant for some kind of curse. Did that come from upstairs?
Lyria: ...!
A-a curse?
Ranko: E-eerie voices are an invitation to the underworld... (It really is a gh-gh-ghost!)
Vyrn: Well, why don't we take a closer look up there, (Captain)?
Vyrn and (Captain) nod in agreement. But as they make their way up the steps...
Monsters: Grooar!
Vyrn: Whoa? These monsters are inside the castle too? Here we go again, (Captain)!
(Captain) and company draw their weapons.
Vyrn: Uh-oh! Wh-what's happening?
The ceiling suddenly comes crashing down with debris flying all over.
Dragon: Gwaawr!
Lyria: Yikes! A d-dragon?
Vyrn: Aww, gimme a break! Nobody said anything about a dragon!
Lyria: Oh no! What now?
Ranko: Wings of destruction hail from the nether realm! (Wow, look at that! A real dragon!)
Lyria: Watch out! Ranko-chan!
Ranko: Mwahahaha! I am the one and only Brunnhilde!
Ranko: Servants of darkness, you shall bow down before me! (I'll defeat them all!)
Vyrn: Sigh... You're really into this, aren't you? C'mon, (Captain), we're on too!

Return of the Demon Ruler: Scene 3

(Captain) and company finally come face to face with the figure behind the footsteps. The woman was summoning monsters for practice, lost control of them, and found herself trapped in the castle. Seeing how impressive Ranko is in person, the woman showers hers with endless praise and thanks. Ranko departs for the skies again with the crew on a good note.

Ranko: Be purged by the flames of darkness! (This'll finish you off!)
Dragon: Gwaar!
Ranko: Cursed wretches of cataclysm! Return to the darkness from whence you came! (We did it!)
Lyria: Wow! That was amazing, Ranko-chan!
Vyrn: Heheh, we pulled it off somehow thanks to Ranko!
Vyrn: Hm? I don't hear that voice anymore.
Lyria: Now that you mention it...
Just as Ranko and the crew breathe a sigh of relief, they suddenly hear footsteps.
Ranko: Eek!
The great force of will that Ranko had shown only moments ago is all but gone when she suddenly latches on to Lyria's arms.
Vyrn: Hm? The sound's coming from the second floor again.
The footsteps continue to approach while the crew is on edge.
Ranko and Lyria: Eek!
???: Aagh!
Vyrn: Oh great, now the stranger's screaming too.
Vyrn: Come out and show yourself whoever you are!
Woman: Oh I'm sorry... Your screams frightened me...
Lyria: Huh? A woman?
Woman: M-Miss Demon Ruler! I watched you take out that dragon! You're absolutely incredible!
Ranko: Huh? Umm...
Ranko: Such feeble flames are naught in the face of my ebony wings. (Aww shucks, it was nothing!)
Vyrn: Erm... Can you tell us more about what's going on?
Woman: Ah, of course! I'm...
It seems that the woman—having a passion for summoning magic—has been visiting the castle to try her hand at new techniques.
Vyrn: So you're the one who summoned those monsters not native to this area?
Woman: Yes. I managed to call the monsters here, but couldn't control them...
The woman couldn't get out of the castle while it was surrounded by monsters.
Vyrn: I see... So that's how you ended up summoning that dragon.
Woman: I'm sorry...
Vyrn: Geez, what a ruckus you've caused.
Monsters: Groaar!
Surviving monsters from outside the castle suddenly come flooding in.
Woman: Aagh!
Woman: Huh? M-Miss Demon Ruler?
Ranko: I, Demon Ruler Brunnhilde, shall obliterate all vestiges of darkness! (I'll take out the remaining monsters!)
Monster: Groaar!
Vyrn: Sigh... Ranko's all pumped-up again now that she knows there's no ghost here.
Woman: Thank you, Miss Demon Ruler! That's twice you've saved me now! Words can't express my gratitude!
Ranko: Bless your wondrous body and spirit. (I hope you're not hurt?)
Woman: I'm okay! Not a scratch on me!
Vyrn: Huh?
Woman: Um, Miss Demon Ruler? Your dazzling magical spells have left such an impression on me. Won't you please take me in as your disciple?
Ranko: What! Erm...
Ranko: My true calling lies beyond the azure skies... (I'm in the middle of an adventure right now. Besides I have to return to my world eventually.)
Woman: Well that's a real shame. I wouldn't want to get in the way of your adventure.
Vyrn: Would you look at that? She actually understands what Ranko is saying!
Vyrn: It took us way longer to finally understand her!
Lyria: Wow, that's impressive!
Vyrn: I think they just happen to think alike.
Woman: Ahaha... Well then I wish the Demon Ruler and her cohorts safe passage!
Ranko: Your prayer grants my wings strength! (Thank you!)
Vyrn: I don't remember becoming anyone's cohort; I'm just glad this is all over!
Lyria: Ahaha. Let's go back to the village elder and tell him what we found!
And thus the crew solves the case of the haunted castle and returns to the skies with Ranko.

Verdant Green Spirits

The crew comes to an island on assignment to take out mysterious monsters said to make strange noises. But what awaits them is the all-too familiar green creature, and not the primal beast they were expecting. Nonetheless the crew have a mission to accomplish. They draw their weapons against the green creature.

Anastasia: Primal beasts... We have fought so many of them.
Rin: Yeah. It seems like primal beasts have all sorts of powers. Water, wind...
Ranko: Power belonging to the raging beasts of the stars surpasses that of conventional wisdom. (Primal beasts sure are amazing!)
Ranko: Their beastly pulse is comparable only to the number of stars in the cosmos. (Looks like they can do tons of other cool things too!)
Rin: Oh yeah?
Anastasia: Ranko... Do you know a lot about primal beasts?
Ranko: The scarlet eye of Demon Ruler Brunnhilde sees all! (Seemed like a fun thing to look into!)
Rin: That reminds me... Weren't you asking Lyria and Katalina about primal beasts?
Rin: Haha, you sure do like learning, don't you, Ranko? I suppose you're a scholar at heart.
Ranko: Hah! It's only natural for a demon ruler! (It's nothing really!)
Anastasia: Molodezh! You're amazing, Ranko!
Ranko's cheeks turn red when the two smile at her.
Rin: But to know that there exist primal beasts with various other powers...
Rin: The primal beasts might have clues on how we can return to our world!
Anastasia: Da. Indeed. I hope there will be good clues.
The crew stops by an island for an assignment to take out monsters.
Lyria: Um, this must be the place they told us about.
Vyrn: Yeah, seems like it. The info we have on the monster is pretty vague though.
Rin: Vague is right. They're not even sure if it's really a monster.
Anastasia: Strani... Strange creature. They said they never saw it.
Ranko: Its siren songs are but a temptation to the underworld... (They also said it makes really strange sounds when it calls out.)
Rin: Hey... If you consider how the locals are talking about the creature...
Lyria: It could be a primal beast. I don't sense anything for now though.
Vyrn: Whoa! What's happening?
Rin: Wait, isn't that...
Anastasia: I've seen it before.
Ranko: A verdant green spirit comes upon us! (That cuddly fuzzy green thing!)
???: Shnaaargle-argle!
Vyrn: Erm, well... It's definitely a strange creature for sure...
Lyria: Ahaha, I guess it's not a primal beast after all.

Verdant Green Spirits: Scene 2

Although the crew defeat the green creature, they for some reason cannot shake off their affection for it. Anastasia, Rin, and Ranko reminisce about their loved ones back in their home world. Doing so makes them feel a bit gloomy, but Ranko's positivity gets them back into a happy mood.

Anastasia: So bednyaga! Ah, poor little thing...
Vyrn: Hm? Are you talking about the green thing?
Anastasia: Da. Prelestnaya. I thought it was kind of cute. So...
Rin: I don't know if I'd call it cute, but it looks really familiar. It's as if I've seen it somewhere before...
Ranko: Its figure is engraved into my soul as well... (I know, right!)
A calm silence fills the atmosphere as the three trade glances.
Anastasia: Producer must be worried...
Rin: Yeah, we really need to get back soon. If only we knew how...
Ranko: Mwahaha... My powers of darkness shall pave the way for us!
Ranko: (I can use some pretty strong magic! I'm sure we'll be just fine!)
Rin: Haha... Seems like you're enjoying yourself, Ranko.
Anastasia: Polozhitel'nyye... Positivity is a good thing. Even for pop idols.
Rin: That's right. And for us to get back to our jobs as pop idols, we're counting on you and your magic, Ranko.
Ranko: Behold, my ebony wings and crimson eye! (You can count on me!)
Vyrn: Erm... I have no idea what Ranko's talking about.
Lyria: Teehee... The three of them seem to get along so well though.
Vyrn: Haha, that's for sure!
The giggly young girls are a welcome presence, spreading warmth to the rest of the crew.

Pure White Grimoire

(Captain) and company visit a snowy town. When Mio, Miria, and Airi head out and show no signs of returning, the crew heads out to look for them. Ranko, Vyrn, and Lyria spot a jolly giant and a mysterious green creature playing with the three girls. When the friendly giant and green creature cower at the black creature that suddenly shows up, Mio and friends draw their weapons against it.

(Captain) and crew visit a snowy town.
Miria: Yay! It's snowing!
Mio: Whee!
Airi: Hey, wait for me!
While the three run about bubbling with laughter, Ranko stands captivated by the snow.
Ranko: The blessing of the snow-white Shiva purifies my wings... (The snow's so pretty!)
Ranko: Huff...
Ranko: Ah!
Ranko suddenly takes out her sketchbook.
Ranko: Divine revelation has descended upon me! (I have an idea!)
Ranko furiously runs her pen through her sketchbook.
Vyrn: Hey, hey, Ranko! Is everything okay? What are you drawing?
Ranko: Huh?
Ranko: Th-this is the forbidden grimoire! (Oh, this is so embarrassing! Don't look!)
Vyrn: Hm? What's there to hide? Can't I at least take a look?
Ranko: To record divine revelation is a sacred rite! (The thing I'm drawing is... Ooh, this is so awkward!)
Airi: Ranko-chan! Let's play together in the snow...
Mio: Hm? A sketchbook?
Miria: Oh, I get it! Vyrn-kun, you don't want to get in Ranko-chan's way when she's like that.
Vyrn: Whoops, sorry about that.
Airi: Okay, everyone. Time to play in the snow!
Mio: It's on! Ranran, I'd love to see your drawing when you're done later!
Ranko: Bwahaha... The ceremony is complete! (There, it's done!)
Ranko smiles with satisfaction at her completed costume design.
Vyrn: Hey, Ranko!
Ranko: State your grievance, crimson beast. (What's wrong, Vyrn?)
Vyrn: Mio and the others left town to muck around in the snow out there, but it's been a while since they've left.
Vyrn: So I was thinking we should go take a look. Why don't you come with us?
Ranko: Humph... Now begins our journey to track the pure white trail. (Sure, I'll come along!)
Vyrn: Erm... I guess that means you'll come with us? All right then! It's this way!
Ranko and crew leave town to look for Mio and the other two girls.
Vyrn: Geez, how far could they have gone? We're lucky their tracks are still on the ground, but still...
Ranko: It appears my cohorts have extended their radiant wings far beyond our reach. (They must have been having so much fun!)
Lyria: Teehee, I can see why the snow might be so much fun to play on!
Vyrn: Hey, over there! I think I see them!
Lyria: You're right! The three—huh?
Vyrn: Hey, hey... What's that thing with them?
???: ...
Ranko: Eep!
Miria: Hm? Ah, you came for us? Thanks!
Jolly Giant: ...
Ranko: Um...
Ranko: A titan who scorns the gods! (A g-giant!)
Ranko screams at the sight of the giant man beside the girls.
Miria: Ranko-chan, it's okay!
Airi: Yeah. This giant's a really nice person!
Mio: Totally! You know, he's actually—
???: Shnargle...
Lyria: Hey, that's...
A closer look reveals a strange green creature on the giant man's palm.
Miria: The nice man here helped us save the injured creature!
Ranko: Scarlet wounds... (It's hurt... Will it be okay?)
Mio: That's right! Everything's fine now thanks to the big, nice man!
Mio: But the creature seems spooked by something...
???: Shnar shnargle...
Lyria: Hm... Yeah, it does. I wonder what happened...
Vyrn: Could it be because of us?
Miria: Uh-uh, I doubt it, Vyrn-kun. Something else must be scaring it...
???: Shnargle...
???: Shnaaargle!
Vyrn: Woah! A big black one just came out!
Jolly Giant: ...!
???: Shnar shnargle...
Ranko: Onyx shadows beget trepidation... (I guess it must be afraid of the black one?)
Miria: Yeah! That's right! It's afraid!
Mio: That reminds me... The green and black creatures seemed to be fighting over something.
Jolly Giant: ...
Airi: Ah, it looks like even Mr. Giant is being precautious.
Mio: All right! Leave this to us! Mr. Giant, please take care of the little one!

Pure White Grimoire: Scene 2

After (Captain) and company vanquish the black creature, the green creature returns to Ranko the sketchbook that she dropped earlier. When the crew sees the impressive costume designs inside the sketchbook and showers Ranko with praise, she turns red with embarrassment. Their return to the Grandcypher is filled with playful banter.

Miria: Yeah! We beat it!
Mio: Yay! Victory is ours!
Airi: Phew, I'm all hot from the battle.
???: Shargle!
Miria: Heheh, it's all better now! Oh, wait... Isn't that Ranko-chan's...
???: Shargle-argle!
The green creature holds out its tiny arms to return Ranko's sketchbook.
Ranko: Ah, the grimoire returns... (My sketchbook?)
Airi: Ah! You probably dropped it when we were busy fighting!
Ranko: Oh, benevolent, verdant green spirit! (Thanks!)
Ranko takes the sketchbook and holds it close to her heart.
Ranko: Thank goodness...
Miria: Hey, hey, Ranko-chan.
Miria peeks in as a relieved Ranko looks over the contents of the sketchbook.
Miria: So you were drawing a costume design earlier? I wish I could take a look...
Mio: Ooh! I'd love to see it too! Please, Ranran!
Ranko: E-erm... The rush of divine revelation may be too much for you to handle... (It's not good enough to show...)
Airi: Can I take a look too?
Ranko: Uh...
Ranko: If that is your collective wish... (You're my friends after all... I guess I can make an exception.)
Ranko abashedly holds out her sketchbook to everyone.
Airi: Wow! This is adorable!
Miria: Uh-huh! I love it! You're incredible, Ranko-chan!
Mio: Ooh, how nice! Maybe you can draw a design for me next time!
Ranko: Huh? Is it... really that good?
Ranko blushes as a strong gust of wind suddenly blows past.
Airi: Achoo!
Miria: Yikes! Airi-chan, are you okay?
Ranko: Icy breaths are merciless to the mortal coil. (Yeah, it's getting really cold!)
Vyrn: Gee, look at how long we've been out here. We should head back soon.
Miria: Airi-chan! You've had your jacket off! No wonder you're cold!
