Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Opening

While waiting to meet up with other idols in the dressing room, Kaede falls asleep from a cocktail-like drink and the exhaustion she was already feeling. Kaede awakens in a forest, where she is almost attacked by a black-winged creature after picking up a book lying on the ground. Uzuki, Rin, and Mio save her and explain that they're in an alternate world.

???: Nice work, everyone. We'll continue shooting tomorrow.
???: ...
A bob-haired woman takes a deep breath and enters the dressing room.
She is the idol Kaede Takagaki. She's come to a production studio in the city to film a movie scene.
Kaede: (A difficult shoot like today's can be rather disheartening. But I'm confident I have the heart to power through it all. Hehe.)
Kaede: (Uzuki-chan and the others should be done with their part soon. I guess I'll wait for them in the dressing room.)
Kaede has plans to go for dinner with Uzuki, Rin, and Mio.
Due to minor scheduling changes, Kaede finished her part early for the day and now waits for the others.
Kaede: The producer mentioned having more meetings to attend. I just hope he'll be free to join us for dinner later.
Kaede: Huh?
Kaede notices a small box addressed to her placed on a corner of the desk.
Kaede: (This is from the juice manufacturer that had me star in their commercial last month...)
Kaede: (Oh, that's right. They're a sponsor for this movie too. That explains what the gift is for.)
Kaede opens the box to find cans of juice neatly packed within.
Kaede: (They must've updated the packaging; it looks different from last time. Haha, these are the same colors on my curtains at home.)
Kaede: (I remember it being pretty good. Maybe I should share some with the others.)
Kaede counts her juice cans to determine how many to give to her friends.
Kaede: (Two for each. And I'll take one for myself now.)
Kaede: Glug...
Kaede: Phew! It's a different flavor from the one I had last time! Not bad at all...
Feeling thirsty from a hard day of work, Kaede downs the entire can in one go.
Kaede: I wonder what they put in here. It kind of tastes like a cocktail...
Kaede: Oh wait, there's alcohol in here...
A closer look at the packaging reveals the words "contains alcohol."
Kaede: (Why would they send me booze when it was a juice commercial that I did?)
Kaede: (Could it be that they knew my preferences and chose this cocktail intentionally?)
Kaede: (Aren't I lucky... I'll have to thank them personally later.)
Kaede: (Welp, I can't very well give these to the girls. The producer's going to be pleased to have so many.)
Kaede chucks the can into the trash bag taped to the desk.
Kaede: Yawn...
Kaede: (Am I starting to feel the effects already? That's strange, considering the alcohol content's not supposed to be that high. Maybe I'm more tired than I thought.)
Taking a seat on the folding chair, Kaede sprawls out on the desk.
Kaede: (This is so comfy... Wouldn't hurt to take a short nap until they get back...)
Kaede: Zzz...
Kaede: Mng... Are those... birds I'm hearing?
Kaede: (What the... What am I doing in a forest?)
Kaede: (And how am I still in the outfit I wear on set? I definitely remember changing out of it and returning it earlier...)
Kaede: Huh?
???: Piña, piña...
Kaede turns toward the peculiar voice only to find a black-winged creature flipping through a book while muttering something.
Kaede: (Must be a costume. Either way, I feel like I've seen that shape somewhere before...)
Black-Wings: Piiña, piiña... Piña!
Black-Wings: Piñañapiña, piiñapiña!
Piñañapiña, piiñapiña!
Black-Wings: Piñaa!
Black-Wings: Piñaa!
Kaede: Wha?
As what seems like an incantation continues, other similar creatures come flying out of the book.
Black-Wings: Piñapiña piña piña, piñapiña. Piñapiña, piñapiñapiña...
Kaede: Oh my...
Black-Wings: Piñapiña piña piña, piñapiña. Piñapiña, piñapiñapiña...
Kaede: ...
Kaede: Um, did I just walk into some sort of magic show?
Black-Wings: Pi... Pii...
Black-Wings: Piñaaaaa!
Sandwiched by its fellow winged brethren, the first creature pushes back at the others to make room for itself.
The momentum sends the book sailing out of its hands, landing before Kaede.
Kaede: This must be some sort of magical tome.
Kaede: I can't think of any other explanation for how all those creatures could come out of this tiny book.
Black-Wings: Piña? Piña?
Black-Wings: Piñaa!
Kaede: What?
Pointing to Kaede, one of them stomps the ground in a fit of rage and takes on a harsher tone.
Black-Wings: Piñaa... Piñaaaa!
Kaede: Ergh!
???: Watch out!
Black-Wings: Piña?
Mio: Are you okay?
Mio: Wha... It's Kae-neesama! What are you doing here?
Kaede: Mio-chan? Uzuki-chan and Rin-chan too.
Black-Wings: Piñaaaa!
Rin: Looks like they're up for a fight. Uzuki, Mio, let's do this.
Uzuki: I'm ready to go! Hyaah!
Uzuki, Rin, and Mio bash the creatures away in tandem, their movements trained.
Black-Wings: Piñaa... Piñapipiii!
Mio: Whew... They might be swarming us, but they're not too tough thankfully!
Kaede: Hey, you're all in uniform too... That must mean you're still filming.
Kaede: Sorry for getting in the way. I'll get back to the dressing room now.
Mio: Er... You've lost us, Kaede-san.
Vyrn: Hey! Everyone all right?
Vyrn: Oh, who's this lady?
Kaede: My goodness, what an adorable plushie! It even talks!
Vyrn: Gah, I ain't no plushie! I'm a dragon in the flesh!
Rin: Filming... Dressing room... Mistaking Vyrn for a plushie... It all rings a bell...
Mio: Sounds like us when we first came to this world. Could Kaede-san have arrived just now?
Uzuki: It's possible. That would explain the misunderstanding.
Kaede: Um, what are you three talking about? Shouldn't you be focusing on the scene?
Rin: We'll have to tell her...
Rin: Kaede-san, please stay calm and listen. You've come to a different world, separate from the one we called home.
Kaede: Different world? What?
As the latest wanderer into the Sky Realm...
Only time will tell what fate awaits Kaede in this strange new world.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 1: Piña's Town - Episode 1

Not wanting to worry the crew, an introverted Kaede walks around town alone with the book from earlier in hand. The fact that she's come to a different world really hits home for her when she sees people living side by side with green creatures. A girl in town sees Kaede's book and calls out to her.

Kaede: A brave new world, huh...
Having learned from her fellow idols of the situation she's fallen into, Kaede is trying to come to grips with this new reality.
Lyria: I know how surprising this must be for you...
Lyria: For now, please think of our ship as your home.
Kaede: Why, thank you. I'll take you up on that.
Kaede: ((Captain)-san and Lyria-chan, was it? They seem like good people...)
Kaede: (But if this is an alternate world, that means the producer and Chihiro-san aren't around either... What am I to do?)
Uzuki: Kaede-san doesn't look too well... I guess she's still coming to grips with everything that's happened...
Mio: Which reminds me, I've heard from Kawashima-san before that Kaede-san can be really shy.
Rin: Which makes it that much harder for her. Moreover, us three are the only people she knows in this world.
Uzuki: Um... I'll try talking to her!
Mio: Wait, Shimamu!
Uzuki: Kaede-san! Are you feeling okay?
Kaede: Huh?
Uzuki: Er, how I should I put this...
Uzuki: Even I start feeling homesick and think about my mommy sometimes. So if you start feeling lonely, know that we're here for you!
Mio: No beating around the bush, huh... Then again, that's just Shimamu being herself!
Kaede: Thank you, Uzuki-chan. I'll be sure to speak up if I need anything.
Kaede: (Just as I thought, I'm making everyone worry...)
Kaede: Uzuki-chan, would you consider the towns in this world to be safe?
Uzuki: Uh-huh. Monsters run around in the forest, but you don't really see them in town.
Kaede: Do you think it'd be all right if I took a walk around the area? I mean, I'm curious as to what kind of place I've ended up in.
Uzuki: Ah... Sure! I'll let (Captain) and the crew know too.
Kaede flashes a reassuring smile as she leaves for a stroll along the outskirts of town.
Kaede: (The air and scenery feel very different from what I'm used to...)
Kaede: (Some people have horns, and some animal ears... What's more...)
Green Creature: Piña, piñapiña!
Kaede: (What I thought were costumes earlier might have been actual creatures.)
Kaede: (I'm so far away from home... Filming for that project wasn't even completed yet. What'll become of it if I don't get back?)
Erune Girl: Oh, that book!
Kaede: Huh? You mean this?
Kaede: (I picked this up in the forest earlier. I completely forgot I was even holding it.)
A wave of relief rushes through the Erune girl as she runs up to Kaede and flips through the contents of the book.
Erune Girl: Yeah, this is the one used by that piña...
Erune Girl: Where did you get this book, miss? Please, you have to tell me!
Kaede: Sure, I can do that...
Kaede feels her pulse quicken in response as she describes the events earlier.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 1: Piña's Town - Episode 2

Just as the crew decides to hold a welcome party for Kaede to cheer her up, she returns with a girl named Emily in tow. Emily remembers the crew as the town's saviors from an earlier incident revolving around the green creatures and pleads for help with something that's gone awry.

Uzuki: It's my fault... I was only trying to help Kaede-san feel more at ease...
Rin: Well, it's not like she ran off in anger. Maybe she just wanted to be alone for a bit.
Mio: Either way, I'm still worried. After all, bottling up your stress can really take its toll on you.
Lyria: Hrm... There must be something we can do to cheer her up...
Vyrn: Anytime I've got a case of the blues, chomping down on an apple makes me feel like a million rupies.
Vyrn: So I'm sure everything will be right as rain if you can get her to do her favorite thing.
Uzuki: That's a good point! Whenever I'm feeling down, calling a friend for a chat makes me feel so much better!
Mio: Shopping does the trick for me! Checking out fancy new shops is always such an adrenaline rush!
Rin: Doing what you like, huh? Sounds about right.
Rin: When it comes to Kaede-san, she loves her alcohol. We can probably get some in this world too.
Mio: Definitely! There's plenty of drinks whenever we have one of those crazy parties on the Grandcypher!
  1. Let's hold a welcoming party for her.

Choose: Let's hold a welcoming party for her.
Uzuki: Great idea. It'll be so much fun!
Rin: Agreed. Except I suggest we keep it a closed party. Having too many people there would put more pressure on Kaede-san.
Mio: All righty then. The welcome party is on. Woo-hoo!
Mio: So who should we invite? Since we'll all be drinking juice except Kaede-san, it'd be nice for her to have some drinking companions.
Uzuki: You're right. Hm, who in the crew would be a good fit...
Laguna is a crew member

Uzuki: Ah, Laguna-san! Is that another souvenir in your hand?
Laguna: Haha, that's right. They have so many neat little trinkets in town that I just couldn't help myself.
Laguna is a crew member

Laguna is a spear-wielding soldier who once served a small nation.
Fascinated with the culture and tradition of foreign lands, she joined the crew to explore more of the world.

Laguna: So what are you guys doing? You mentioned something about a welcome party? If it's a suitable venue you need, I'd love to help out.
Laguna: I just happened to be going around town asking for info about the local shops.
Mio: Nice work, Lagu-nee! It's great to have someone to count on!
Mio and company discuss their concerns about party preparations with Laguna.
Laguna: Okay, I get the gist of it.
Laguna: Unfortunately I don't drink alcohol myself. I'm all about milk, but I've been to the pub with some crewmates who are heavy drinkers.
Laguna: I'll try inviting them. I'm sure they wouldn't mind livening up the party.
Uzuki: Thanks! That'd be a big help. I'm sure Kaede-san would appreciate it too!
Kaede: Hey, do you guys have a minute?
Uzuki: Kaede-san, welcome back!
Uzuki: Hm? Who's that next to you?
Emily: Hello there. My name is Emily.
Kaede: There's something that's been troubling her. Would you be willing to hear her out?
Lyria: Of course. As skyfarers, we're always ready to help anyone in need!
Emily: A red dragon and a blue-haired girl... Skyfarers...
Emily: You must be the ones who saved the town during the disaster with those little green things!
Vyrn: Little green things? You mean those weird piña dudes?
Lyria: Yes, it was probably us you heard about. Actually...
It wasn't too long ago when...
This very same town was plagued by constant attacks from the green creatures of the forest.
In lieu of the injured (Captain) and company, Anzu and Kirari noticed something amiss about the creatures.
Anzu: Wait a second... You mean to say you agents are behind all this trouble?
Kirari: Yeah, now that you mention it, it seems weird that the agents still seemed fine even though our friends were so exhausted.
Agent: Not another word out of you! Damn it!
All right, take 'em out, you guys!
Green Creature: Pi?
The crew later managed to rout the agents, cutting off their attempted escape by airship.
Agents: Arrrgh!
Kirari: Whoopsie!
Kirari: Ehehe... Now I've got all of you!
Anzu: Phew... I guess that's that. These guys were annoying to the bitter end!
It was Kirari-turned-giant who ultimately saved the day by catching both the agents and their airship.
Lyria: And that's how the situation ended.
Emily: I knew it was you! Thank you for saving our town!
Emily: Ever since then, we've come to coexist with the green creatures and even rely on them for certain jobs.
Vyrn: Yeah? Talk about a one-eighty...
Lyria: That's great! It's always nice when everyone gets along with each other!
Emily: But things are going awry again...
Emily proceeds to describe the trouble that has befallen the town.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 1: Piña's Town - Episode 3

Emily's family runs a confectionery, and they had a green creature named Piña helping out as assistant. Emily explains that she followed a downcast Piña one day to a mysterious altar deep in the forest. Various creatures popped out from a book that was hidden in the altar, and Piña vanished in a black mist.

Emily: Nice work, Piña! I can't believe you got so much done already, you handy, little genius!
Green Creature: Piña! Piña!
Emily: My family runs a confectionery. And recently, we've been asking Piña to help out at the shop.
Emily: Oh, when I say Piña, I'm referring to this little cutie. I call it that since it says "piñapiña" all the time.
Emily: It's extremely skilled and hardworking, and we've all come to see it as a member of the family.
Emily: But one day...
Piña: Pi... ña...
Emily: Piña? What's wrong?
Piña: ...
Emily: Piña?
Emily: It turned lethargic out of the blue. I thought it might be feeling ill, but it wasn't a case of fever either...
Emily: Before long, it started going out on its own. Curious as to what Piña was doing, I followed it one day...
Emily: That's the opposite direction of its home... What could it be doing in such a dark part of the woodlands?
Piña: Pi... Piña...
Emily: Deep in the forest was an altar no one knew about. Piña was leaning against it, weeping all the while.
Piña: Piñaaa... Piñaaa... Pi...
Mysterious Voice: Piña...
Piña: Piña!
Emily: Then I heard a strange voice coming from the altar. It seemed to be speaking to Piña.
Mysterious Voice: Piña?
Piña: Pi, piña?
Mysterious Voice: Piñaa? Piñaa!
Piña: Piña!
Piña: Piña... Piña...
Emily: I couldn't understand what was being said, but it seemed like Piña was being confronted with a decision.
Mysterious Voice: Piña?
Piña: Pi! Piña...
Piña: ...
Piña: Piña! Piña!
Mysterious Voice: Piña...
Emily: Piña screamed something which caused the altar to open up, revealing a book lying within.
Piña: Pi... ña...
Piña: Piña!
Emily: You can imagine my surprise when Piña flipped through the book to bring out other creatures that look just like it.
Strange Creatures: ...
Piña: Piña... Piña...
Piña: Piña?
Emily: Piña!
Emily: No sooner had the creatures disappeared than a black mist began to sprout from the altar, enveloping Piña.
Emily: Concerned for Piña, I ran over to check on it.
Emily: It's not here! How? Why?
Emily: Piña, where are you? Answer me, please! Piña!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 1: Piña's Town - Episode 4

Emily explains how the mysterious creatures are causing trouble for people all over the island. Realizing that the book Kaede holds—otherwise known as the Piña Bestiary—is the very one taken from the altar, the crew sets out to return the creatures to the book.

Emily: I looked everywhere but couldn't find Piña. I felt so lost.
Emily: That's when I spotted Kaede-san holding Pina's book and called out to her.
Uzuki: I see... Must be so nerve-wracking not being able to find Piña... chan?
Mio: Kae-neesama, did you not see this Piña creature when you found the book?
Kaede: The only creatures I saw were the black ones you fought off earlier. I haven't seen any green ones.
Emily: I see... Still no leads then...
Rin: I'm curious about Piña too, but what of the other creatures? Did they just run off somewhere?
Emily: Oh, right. That's a problem in itself.
Emily explains that similar strange creatures have been popping up all over the island and attacking people.
Emily: Thanks to the protection provided by a group of agents, the town is safe for now, but if the creatures were to come attacking en masse...
Vyrn: The green guys were a tough bunch to handle before we tamed them. These new critters could be a real threat too.
Rin: Well, considering where they came from, looking into the book should give us some clues on what to do.
Mio: Nice thinking, Shiburin! Hey, can we see that book?
Kaede: Right, of course.
On the cover of the book are the words "Piña Bestiary."
Inside is a collection of monster drawings, with parts of some drawings seemingly cut out.
Uzuki: Could it be that the creatures which flew out made up part of the artwork?
Rin: I suppose that's a possibility. But to have drawings manifesting in reality sure does make this seem like a fairy tale.
Mio: If they can come out, that means they can also go back in. Which would spell the end of all this ruckus.
Uzuki: You just might be right! But how we do get them to return to the book?
Mio: I wish I could tell you... Whatever happens, I'm sure things'll work out one way or another!
(Captain) and company continue perusing through the tome, hoping to find hints on how the creatures might be restored to their book form.
Lyria: As important as it might be to set those new creatures straight, I'm more worried about Piña-chan...
Lyria: Can we leave the book creatures to Uzuki-san's group while the rest of us look for Piña-chan?
Vyrn: Sounds good to me. Taking on monsters is a cakewalk for them now after all.
Emily: Thank you so much! Phew... I'm so fortunate to have run into good people like you!
Emily: Which reminds me: I should tell you about the reported sightings of the creatures so far!
Emily draws a simple map of the island, describing which creatures showed up where as she goes along.
Kaede: (These people are so generous to lend a helping hand to those in need.)
Kaede: (Meanwhile, I've been so concerned about myself... Wallowing in self-pity isn't going to get me anywhere...)
Kaede: (Maybe I should try to help out too...)
Kaede: Um, (Captain)... If I may...
Kaede asks how she might be of assistance to everyone.
Vyrn: We could always use the extra help, but you sure about this? Don't you think you'd be better off resting up?
Kaede: Given that I'm still new to this world, it's entirely possible that I might do little more than cause trouble...
Kaede: But I want to at least try to make myself useful... Like Uzuki-chan and the others.
Lyria: Then come with us! With (Captain) around, no monster is going to be a threat.
Vyrn: I'm sure there's a lot to learn, but we'll be there to help you every step of the way!
Kaede: Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to this.
And so (Captain) and company become involved in a new incident involving strange creatures.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 2: Collecting Piña - Episode 1

Working as a pair, Laguna and Uzuki arrive at a cave crawling with aggressive bony creatures. Sensing something peculiar about their manner, Uzuki tries to communicate with them and learns that they want Laguna's milk. Laguna readily shares some with them, after which the satisfied creatures return to the Piña Bestiary.

The crew splits into groups to restore the newly manifested creatures across the island to their book form.
A few members aboard the Grandcypher decide to help out.
Laguna, who was helped by Uzuki when she tidied her room, also chips in.
Laguna: Hm, so I see... That does indeed seem likely.
Laguna speaks with the Piña Bestiary in one hand and her spear in the other.
Uzuki: Um, Laguna... This might come off as a strange question, but who are you talking to?
Laguna: Ah, sorry if I startled you. I was talking to this guy.
Laguna extends the hand holding her spear.
Laguna: My Omar's Odyssey is a millennia-old weapon that stores memories of countless battles.
Uzuki: It's thousands of years old and stores memories of battle?
Laguna: It's quite simple really. He remembers every battle he's ever experienced over his many long years.
Laguna: And he shares those experiences with his wielder—namely me—to use in battle.
Laguna: To put it simply, with Omar's Odyssey in hand, I can predict and dodge most, if not all, attacks.
Uzuki: That sounds like an amazing weapon!
Laguna: Although I try not to use Omar's Odyssey in a fair fight. It's essentially cheating.
Laguna: That's why I tried asking him about the Piña Bestiary.
Uzuki: So? Anything?
Laguna: For starters, we now have an idea of what exactly this book is.
Uzuki: Yeah? I'm not positive I'll understand, but I'd love to hear more!
Laguna: Books like this one are generally created to seal something away.
Laguna: Anything from ferocious beasts to forbidden arts and memories... Things considered far too dangerous to let loose in the world.
Laguna: He says the book contains tremendous magical power.
Laguna: Power akin to that of a primal beast.
Uzuki: Now I'm scared...
Laguna: Fortunately that power remains sealed in the book.
Laguna: Chances are... the book's holder couldn't draw out its full power. Which means we can probably assume we're safe while I'm holding onto it.
Laguna: That's all I have so far.
Bony Creatures: Crick... (Piña...)
Bony Creatures: Crick... (Piña...)
Following Emily's reports of sightings, Uzuki and company come to a cave where they confront some skeleton-like creatures.
Uzuki: How do they move with bones only... They're almost like ghosts...
Bony Creatures: Crick!
(Piña!)
Bony Creatures: Crick, crick!
(Piiñaaa!)
Uzuki: Eep! They're coming after us!
Laguna: Seems like they attack anyone that crosses their path. Just as I had heard!
Bony Creatures: C-crick!
(P-piña!)
Laguna: If you ask me, I say it's perfectly fine to cheat against monsters that attack innocent people.
Laguna: No holding back!
Bony Creatures: Crickcrickcrickcrick!
(Pipipiñapiñañapii!)
Bony Creatures: Crick...
(Piña...)
Laguna: These types come back to life unless you smash their very core.
Uzuki: (Huh? From Laguna-san's description, I expected these to be more aggressive...)
Uzuki: (But they've been trying to get away ever since she started swinging her weapon...)
Uzuki: (There must be some reason why they attack people!)
While Uzuki is racking her brain, Laguna drives the creatures into a corner of the cave.
Bony Creatures: Crick, crick!
(Piiñaaa!)
Laguna: Their core is either at the head or the chest... This calls for some trial and error.
Uzuki: Wait, Laguna-san! The creatures must have some sort of justification for hurting people!
Uzuki: Let me try to talk to them! I won't take long. Promise!
Laguna: You think you can hold a conversation with them? Even though all they do is "crick"?
Uzuki: I might be able to. I think.
Uzuki stands before the bony creatures and smiles at them.
Uzuki: Piña piña. Piña, piñapipiña!
(Stay calm, everyone!)
Bony Creatures: Crick!
(Piña!)
Uzuki: (Thank goodness! They understand me!)
Uzuki: Piñaña piñapiña, piiña piña?
(What's your story?)
Bony Creatures: Crick, crickcrick...
(Piña, piñapiña piña...)
Uzuki: Pi, piñapiña piñapi?
(That's awful!)
Bony Creatures: Crick, crick...
(Piñaña, piñañapiña...)
Uzuki: Pi, piñapippi...
(I get it now...)
Laguna: What a surprise. You really can communicate with them.
Laguna: Well, Uzuki? Did you learn anything useful?
Uzuki: Um... Laguna-san, would you happen to have any milk on you?
Laguna: Milk? I did buy some in town earlier as a treat for myself.
Laguna opens her pouch to reveal a bottle of milk she meant to consume on the way back.
Bony Creatures: Crick, crick!
(Pi, piñapi!)
Laguna: Wha! They're after my milk!
Uzuki: These bony creatures are suffering from calcium deficiency...
Uzuki: They meant to ask for some of your milk to sustain themselves. They're sorry if they were being too aggressive.
Bony Creatures: Crickcrick, crick...
(Piñapi, piña...)
Laguna: So that's what was bothering them, huh... Hm...
Laguna: That also explains why they attacked milk-toting merchants who passed through here.
Uzuki: I have a favor to ask, Laguna-san...
Uzuki: Won't you please share some of your milk with them? Once they've gotten enough calcium in their bones, surely they'll stop attacking people.
Laguna: But when it comes down to it, monsters are monsters. What makes you think they'd be so reasonable?
Uzuki: I think it's worth a try at least. The less conflict there is, the better. Oh, and I promise to reimburse you for the milk!
Uzuki bows her head in earnest.
Laguna: Please raise your head, Uzuki, I wasn't trying to spurn your request in the least.
Laguna: I was just worried, is all. It'd be our fault if any passersby get hurt later on because we decided to leave these creatures be.
Uzuki: They're not really violent by nature; they're simply misunderstood all the time.
Uzuki: I can't discount the possibility that they might do something awful in the future. But for now, I think the friendship approach is worth a shot!
Laguna: Fair enough. Besides, I'd like to think that there's not a single bad fellow amongst fellow milk lovers.
Laguna: Fine. Let's do it your way, Uzuki. And don't worry about the money.
With the bottle of milk in hand, Laguna reaches out to the creatures.
Bony Creatures: Crick, crick!
(Piña, piña!)
They leap up in excitement and graciously accept the offering.
Uzuki: Ahaha! Look how happy they are!
Laguna: From the way this is going, there just might be a peaceful resolution to this.
Laguna: There's a bit of milk left. You're a fan of dairy as well, right, Uzuki? Why don't we share in the toast too as a token of friendship?
Uzuki: I'd like that! Thanks!
Uzuki, Laguna, and the bony creatures all share a toast, each relishing the rich flavor of the milk.
Uzuki: Mm, that was good! I'd love to try adding some tea to the milk next time!
Bony Creatures: Crick...
(Piñaa!)
Laguna: They look as pleased as punch, but the problem of returning them to the book still remains...
Bony Creatures: Crick!
(Piñaa!)
The dairy-fed creatures gather before Laguna.
They make contact with the book in Laguna's hand before being absorbed into it, vanishing in a flash of light.
Uzuki: Huh? They're gone...
Laguna: Their section in the bestiary is restored, it seems.
Uzuki: That's great! We did it, Laguna-san! Hooray!
Laguna: Hooray is right!
The two raise a triumphant cry of victory, each making the peace sign with their fingers.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 2: Collecting Piña - Episode 2

Rin and Rosamia run into a three-horned creature on grassy plains. The creature is quick to attack but immediately turns docile upon seeing Rosamia's talismans, mistaking them for money. Rosamia gives the creature some used talismans, pleasing it greatly. When Uzuki and Laguna come by with the Piña Bestiary, the creature willingly returns to it.

Rin: Sorry to call you out while you were resting, Rosamia. But I could really use the help.
Rosamia: (Certainly. I couldn't possibly leave the village in despair.)
Ugh, what a pointless fuss I'm being dragged into.
Rin: Um, right...
(Must be her inner thoughts spilling out again...)

Though Rin and Rosamia speak few words to each other, there is a certain chemistry about the two that allows them to complete assignments with efficiency.
Rosamia: Word is the monster shows up in this area.
Rin: That does seem to be the case... Ah.
Tri-Horns: Piña...
Rin: One on the nose and two on the head. Yep, that's three horns. No mistaking it.
Rosamia: (As mysterious as the rumors suggested...)
Yuck...
Tri-Horns: Piñaaaa!
Rosamia: Looking for a fight, I see. I'll go first; follow my lead.
Rin: Okay!
The three-horned creature charges at its intruders.
Rosamia: Too slow! Haaah!
Rosamia swiftly dodges the headbutt and counters with her magical talismans.
Rin: Feel my violet blade! Iolite Blue!
A bright light fills Rin's sword as she launches a flurry of strikes.
Rin: There, that should do it...
Tri-Horns: Piñaaaaa!
Rosamia: That didn't work?
Rin: Once more! Its weak point should reveal itself eventually if we keep this up!
Rin's blade and Rosamia's talismans have prevailed over the opposition time and time again.
But this tri-horned creature doesn't seem the least bit fazed at their attacks.
Tri-Horns: Piñaa!
Tri-Horns: Piñaaaaa!
Rosamia: Tch... Quite resilient, isn't it! It bounces right back no matter what we do!
Rosamia: ...!
Continuing to evade its attacks, Rosamia unleashes talisman after talisman.
Rin: (Is it just me, or is it targeting only Rosamia?)
Rosamia: Ngh! Hraaagh!
Tri-Horns: Piñaaaa!
Rin: (Maybe because she attacked first? But it ignored me even after I jumped into the fray...)
Rosamia: No more holding back... Spell release! Take this!
Rosamia releases every last accumulated talisman, unleashing a devastating attack.
Rosamia: That should do it!
Tri-Horns: Piñaa!
Rin: Huh?
Tri-Horns: Piña! Piñapiña!
Rosamia: It's... bubbling with joy? Just when I thought it was ready to attack again...
Rin: I don't get it... Was there anything about this in the memo?
Rin refers to the notes she copied from the Piña Bestiary.
Rin: But that'd mean... There's only one possibility then...
Rosamia: What is it, Rin?
Rin: "The tri-horned creature loves money more than its three meals a day."
Rin: It must be mistaking your talismans for money. The sight alone excites it.
Rosamia: There's no possible way these strips of paper could be confused for rupies.
Rin: Actually, in our world, paper money is a thing.
Rin: It's a different color and shape, but when you have this much, I can see how your talismans might be seen as money.
Rin: (This whole phenomenon suggests that the Piña Bestiary itself is from another world.)
Tri-Horns: Piña! Piñapiñaa!
Rosamia: (How strange to confuse talismans for money.)
Feebleminded fool.
Rin: Rosamia, oh, Rosamia... Though to be fair, I'm just as surprised.
Rin picks up the used talismans scattered across the ground.
Rin: Is it all right if I take these?
Rosamia: Talismans without their magic are good as trash. What do you need them for?
Rin: I'm thinking we can use these to lead the creature to the forest. Since we can't defeat it, the next best thing we can do is to bring it somewhere people don't usually go to.
Tri-Horns: Piña!
Its eyes beaming at the talismans, the creature approaches Rin.
Rin: Ah...
Tri-Horns: Piña!
Rin: It's wagging its tail... Sit! Wait, I'm not talking to my dog, Hanako. There's no way it'd—
Rin: Wha... It's really sitting...
Rin: Okay then... Catch!
Rin chucks a bundle of talismans into the distance like a stick.
Tri-Horns: Piña!
Rin: It behaves just like a dog... Haha...
Rin finds herself petting the tri-horned creature as it continues to wag its tail.
Rosamia: Great job taming it. I could never have done that...
Rin: This is great. Looks like our trip to the forest will be a peaceful one.
Uzuki: Rin-chan, you need to hear this! We gave the bony creatures some milk, and they went right back into the book!
Rin: Ah, Uzuki, Laguna-san... You returned them to the Piña Bestiary? How?
Laguna: I'm not sure how exactly it works, but...
Tri-Horns: Piña!
Upon spotting the Piña Bestiary in Laguna's hands, the tri-horned creature snuggles up to her.
Rosamia: It's gone... Is it back in the book?
Laguna: Seems like it. The drawing's been restored.
Uzuki: The bony ones returned in the same way, almost as if they wanted to...
Rin: Could it be that they're willing to return once they've found happiness?
Rin: The one with horns was in bliss when it found what it thought was money.
Laguna: You might be right. Why don't we go see how Mio's doing in the park?
Rin and company quietly leave the grassy field.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 2: Collecting Piña - Episode 3

Mio and Jessica play soccer with blue striped creatures. It is a difficult match, but the girls come out on top. Pleased to have such a fun time, the creatures return to the Piña Bestiary when Rin comes running to the soccer field with it. The black-winged creatures who served as the audience walk away in great disquiet.

Blue Stripes Cap.: Piñaaa!
Mio: Aww... Two points for the other team.
Jessica: Huff... Huff... The match isn't over yet. We can still gain on them!
At the park, Mio and Jessica are having a soccer match with blue striped creatures.
The pair was dragged to the field immediately after entering the park.
Having no choice but to engage the creatures in the sporting event, the two find themselves fighting a losing battle.
Mio: The odds are stacked against us, what with this being five versus two...
Black-Wings: Piiña! Piiña!
Mio: The black-winged creatures cheering them on certainly doesn't help... Welp, can't do much about the home team's advantage...
Jessica: But if we don't come out on top, chances are they're not going to follow us out of the park.
Mio: Losing the park to these guys would really suck for the townspeople. We've gotta win this!

While Mio gets along easily with anyone, she feels a special connection to Jessica due to the both of them having a little brother.
Black-Wings: Piiña!
Mio: Ack, they scored another one! It's not easy doing this without a goalie...
Jessica: A goalie? What's that?
Mio: Someone to keep the ball from going into the net. For their team, it'd be that one.
Blue Stripes Goal.: Piña...
Mio points to the blue striped creature standing before the opposing team's goal.
Jessica: No one seemed to mind when it was using its hands...
Mio: Unlike everyone else, goalies are allowed to use both their hands and feet. But of course, they have to stay in that area by the goal.
Jessica: Goalie... Someone who defends the goal and can use their hands...
Black-Wings: Piñaa!
Mio: Okay, okay! We'll be right with you!
They enter the center circle of the field for a kickoff to resume the match.
Mio: (Jessica's still new to soccer, so this is on me... I can do it!)
Mio: Rgh, they've got the ball again! Jessie, wait—
Mio: Jessie? Where'd she go?
Jessica: There!
A dull metal sound follows her piercing voice. The ball hurtles toward the opposition's goal, landing outside the court.
Jessica: Whew, went farther than I expected. Maybe balls go too well with guns.
Jessica cracks a smile, her giant gun hanging from her shoulder.
Mio: When did she get to the goalie spot? Wait, did she shoot the ball with her gun?
Black-Wings: Piña! Piñapi...
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piña, piñapiña.
One of the black-winged creatures is about to take something out of its pocket when a blue striped one stops it.
Black-Wings: Pi, piñapi...
Mio: Was it going to take out a red card? Hm, maybe those blue guys aren't so bad after all!
Jessica: Mio-san, I think I'd be more useful as a goalie. Is it all right if I stay here?
Mio: Sure! You take defense, and I'll take offense! We've each got our role to play!
The blue striped creatures place the ball in the center circle before passing it.
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piñaa!
Jessica: The ball's not getting past me! Bam!
Jessica lands a solid hit on the ball, which Mio catches with a chest trap.
Mio: Good work getting it on their side of the court, Jessie!
Mio: All right, no slowing down now!
Mio dribbles the ball, expertly breaching the opposition's defenses and closing in on their goal.
Blue Stripes Goal.: Piñaa!
Mio: I think I've got this! Goooo!
Black-Wings: Piiña!
Mio: Score! That's one point for us!
Jessica: Nice shot, Mio-san! Let's keep going!
Mio: Yeah! The tides are turning for us!
Mio and Jessica continue to score, eventually tying with the creatures.
Jessica: The match is coming to a close soon! Mio-san, let's make this an epic win!
Mio: You got it!
Mio: Invincible Goalie Jessie and Miracle Dribbler Mio-chan with a phenomenal comeback, coming right at you!
At the sound of a whistle, the blue striped creatures kick the ball from the center circle.
Mio: Got it!
Blue Stripes: Piña!
Mio: (Haha, passed two of them in one go!)
Blue Stripes: Piña!
Mio: (Make that three!)
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piñaa!
Mio: (Now for the biggest obstacle—their captain!)
Mio: Wham!
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piñaa!
Mio: It's past him!
Jessica: (We've almost got this in the bag... C'mon now!)
Blue Stripes Goal.: Piñaaaa!
Mio: Go, go, Mitsuboshi! Miracle Shot!
Blue Stripes Goal.: Piñaa!
Black-Wings: Pi... Pi...
Black-Wings: Piiiñaaa!
The toot of a whistle sounds across the park, signaling the end of the match.
Mio: No way! We actually did it!
Jessica: Wow! Just goes to show that anything's possible as long as you don't give up!
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piña, piñapiña!
The opposing team's captain reaches out to Mio for a handshake.
Mio: You were pretty good yourself! That was so much fun!
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piña!
Rin: Feels like something big just went down... Did they have a soccer match?
Mio: Oh, Shiburin! Guys! You're here!
Blue Stripes Cap.: Piña...
The blue striped creatures flock to the Piña Bestiary in Rin's hand and touch it.
Mio: What the... They're gone!
Rin: They're back in the book. I guess you two must've really made their day with that soccer game.
Mio: You mean they return to the book when they're happy? They lost the game though...
Jessica: I think they were glad just to have an exciting match. That's not so strange, is it?
Mio: Ah, I get it. All's good in the name of sportsmanship!
Black-Wings: Piña, piña. Piña, piña...
Uzuki: Huh? What's with those black ones over there?
Uzuki points to the black-winged creatures leaving the park.
Mio: Are they headed for town? We'd better catch up!
Sensing something ominous, Mio and company chase after the creatures.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 2: Collecting Piña - Episode 4

(Captain) and company look for clues at the altar where Piña vanished. Kaede reminisces about good times shared with Piña, after which they notice a mysterious figure spying on them and chase after it, leaving the altar behind.

Emily: Sigh... There's nothing here after all.
While the others have gone elsewhere looking for the book's creatures...
(Captain), Lyria, Vyrn, and Kaede are investigating the area around the altar.
Lyria: I don't sense any magical power from the altar. It seems empty actually.
Emily: Where could you have gone, Piña...
Emily: The moment I noticed you had something on your mind, I should've talked to you about it...
A stream of tears runs down Emily's face.
Kaede: Ah...
Emily: Sorry to bother you with this.
Pull yourself together, Emily!
Kaede: ...
Kaede: There's nothing wrong with shedding a tear or two, Emily-chan. I see how hard you're trying.
Kaede: Anyone would worry if they lost someone dear.
Kaede: Getting so teary-eyed after spending the day searching for Piña just goes to show how much you care.
Kaede: Please don't blame yourself. Piña-chan would be sad.
Emily: You're too kind, Kaede-san.
Kaede: I could say the same about you.
After having some time to think, Kaede opens with a question.
Kaede: Emily-chan, what was Piña-chan like? I'd love to hear it from you.
Emily: Piña, being the hardworking creature it is, puts forth its best effort into everything. Despite not being very strong, it strives to keep us safe.
Emily: Even when those monsters came attacking recently, Piña got hurt trying to protect us.
Emily: Piña and I may not speak the same language, but I know just how much it cares about us.
Emily: It was a blessing to know that I could connect with a creature just as much as a person. And yet...
Kaede: What sort of other things did Piña do? Were there any places it liked going to?
Emily: Well... It often went to the hill on the outskirts of town. I think it wanted to show me the beautiful sunset.
Emily: It once gave me a bouquet, and even a tiara made with flowers plucked from the forest. Oh, there was that ring too...
Vyrn: Bouquet, tiara, ring. That sounds like stuff you see at a wedding...
Kaede: So I see...
Kaede: If Piña cared that much about you, there must've been a good reason for it to go off.
Kaede: I'm willing to bet Piña would love to see you right now. It's up to us to find the little one.
Emily: Right!
Kaede smiles in response.
Vyrn: Now I'm impressed. Kaede's still new to the skies, but look at how well she's fitting in already.
Lyria: I'm sure Kaede-san gave lots of people strength back in her home world too.
???: ...
Emily: Something's here!
???: ...!
Alerted by Emily's voice, the presence lurking in the brush makes off.
Lyria: Was it watching us this whole time?
Vyrn: Talk about fishy... Let's go after it!
The crew weaves through the forest, chasing after the figure.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 3: Expressing Emotions - Episode 1

The crew chases the figure to town, where a huge swarm of black-winged creatures is wreaking havoc and causing destruction all over. Emily runs toward an injured Erune man named Oscar while the crew fights off the creatures to keep her safe.

Erune Youth: Damn it! Don't get any closer!
Black-Winged Pair: Piñaa!
Vyrn: Whoa... What's happening here?
The crew chases the figure all the way to town only to find a swarm of black-winged creatures.
Black-Wings: Piña!
Black-Wings: Piña!
They are running around demolishing buildings and attacking the villagers.
Lyria: Oh no... Since they look just like the one we were chasing, I don't know which one of them it is, assuming it's here...
Uzuki: My goodness! That's a lot of them!
Lyria: Uzuki-san, everyone! Did you find the creatures that came out of the book?
Rin: Mm-hm, they should be back in the bestiary now. I'm more worried about what's happening here...
Mio: There weren't this many even in the park! We need to save the townspeople, stat!
Black-Wings: Piñaa!
Human Man: Ack!
Erune Youth: Watch out!
Erune Youth: Ngh!
Emily: Oscar!
Emily runs toward the injured youth.
Lyria: It's dangerous to run out in the open, Emily!
Rin: Uzuki, Mio! We need to fight off those black things! Before Emily gets hurt!
Uzuki: Okay! Let's go!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 3: Expressing Emotions - Episode 2

When one of the creatures gets outraged at seeing Emily care for Oscar, the crew suspects it to be the boss and tries to return it to the Piña Bestiary, hopeful that doing so will put an end to the situation. However, unlike its defeated brethren, the boss creature is unaffected by the tome and even snatches the book out of Vyrn's hands to summon the fallen creatures once more.

Black-Wings: Pi... ña...
Rin: Simply holding the book over the creatures got them to go back inside it. I hope that was okay...
Emily: Oscar! Tell me you're okay!
Oscar: Emily! I'm fine. They grazed me, is all.
Emily: Thank goodness. If anything were to happen to you, I...
Oscar: I'm more worried about you, Emily. It's dangerous here. Why don't you leave the monsters to us while you find a safe place to hide?
Emily: There's no way I'm going to hide while you're fighting!
Black-Wings: Pi... Pi...
Black-Wings: Piñaaaa!
Kaede: Huh? What's gotten into that one?
Black-Winged Pair: Piñaa!
Uzuki: My goodness! Were there this many?
Laguna: Unlike the ones we were able to reconcile with, there's no saving these savage monsters before us.
Laguna: As childish as they may seem, it's apparent that they're in battle formation. Someone must be leading them.
Rosamia: Blegh, can you believe how ugly they are? You really wanna go through these hideous faces to find their boss?
Laguna: We'll just have to mow them down one at a time until the boss shows itself! Hraagh!
Black-Wings: Piña...
Jessica: We can't allow them to do any more harm... We'll have to do this the hard way...
Black-Wings: Piña...
Uzuki: We'll fight too!
Rin: Yeah!
Mio: Time to make use of all that targeting practice I did with Jessie! Eat this!
(Captain) and company start to take down creature after creature.
Vyrn: If you see any that look like they might be the big cheese, holler at me! I'll bring the bestiary right over!
Vyrn flutters about with the book in hand, returning the creatures to book form as efficiently as possible while searching for their boss.
Black-Wings: Piñaaaaa! Piñapiñaaaaaaa!
Vyrn: That one right there! That's the one giving orders!
  1. We should separate it from the flock!

Choose: We should separate it from the flock!
Lyria: Okay! Quick, (Captain), before we lose sight of it!
Vyrn: Since I've got the book, I'll follow right behind you, (Captain)!
The captain turns to Vyrn with a nod before dashing ahead with sword in hand.
Black-Winged Boss: Piña!
Black-Winged Boss: Piñaaa?
(Captain) launches the black-winged boss into the air before sending it flying away from the swarm.
Vyrn: You did it, (Captain)!
Vyrn: All right, I've got the book ready!
Black-Winged Boss: Piña!
Vyrn directs the bestiary at the creature.
Black-Winged Boss: Piña?
Vyrn: What the? Why's it not disappearing like the rest of 'em?
Vyrn repeatedly presses the book against the black-winged boss but to no avail.
Kaede: (That's the one which started screaming when it saw Emily. I wonder how it's different from the others...)
Black-Winged Boss: Piñaaa...
Vyrn: Brgwaah!
Vyrn: Crud! The book!
Having snatched the Piña Bestiary from Vyrn, the boss holds it up triumphantly and cracks a mischievous grin.
Black-Winged Boss: Piñañapiña, piiñapiña!
Piñañapiña, piiñapiña!
Black-Winged Pair: Piñaa!
With what seems like a magical incantation, the black-winged creatures that had been returned to the book are summoned forth once more.
Mio: Oh no... We're right back where we started...
Rin: ...
(Captain) and company grimace at the unfortunate turn of events.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 3: Expressing Emotions - Episode 3

In wondering why the book had no effect on the boss creature, Emily suspects that boss may very well be Piña. She pleads for the boss to stop, but it only gets further enraged seeing how close Oscar and Emily are. It opens up the Piña Bestiary once more to summon a white-winged creature.

Black-Winged Pair: Piña! Piña!
Vyrn: Sorry... If I'd just kept a tighter grip on the book...
Uzuki: It's not your fault. What I don't understand is why the book had no effect on that one creature.
Rin: Can't say for sure, but maybe their boss has special powers?
Laguna: Looks like it can freely summon allies from the book. We can be sure it's the mastermind behind all this.
Emily: Summon allies from the book?
Oscar: Does that ring a bell?
Emily: Hrm... I might be wrong, but...
Vyrn: When (Captain) knocked it away earlier, it dropped this.
Vyrn opens up his paw to reveal a cookie wrapped in cute packaging.
Oscar: That's one of the cookies we sell in our shop! That ribbon's our trademark!
Emily: Just as I thought... That creature is Piña! No wonder the book had no effect on it!
Feeling relieved, Emily calls out to the boss standing behind all the other creatures.
Emily: Piña! Tell me you're Piña!
Black-Wings Boss: Pi...
Emily: Please! You have to stop doing this!
Emily: I know just how kind you are! The Piña I know would never do something like this!
Black-Wings Boss: Pi... Piña...
Black-Winged Pair: Piña!
Oscar: Watch out!
Oscar holds Emily close to protect her from the encroaching swarm.
Black-Wings Boss: Piñaaaaaaa!
Kaede: Uh-oh... Not again...
Black-Wings Boss: Piiña, piiña... Piña!
The incensed boss opens up the Piña Bestiary once more and readies its ace in the hole.
Black-Wings Boss: Piñañapiña, piiñapiña!
Piñañapiña, piiñapiña!
White-Wings: Pi... ña...
Rin: What in the...

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 3: Expressing Emotions - Episode 4

The latest being summoned from the Piña Bestiary possesses power rivaling that of a primal beast. The boss, paying no need to Emily's pleas, explains to the white-winged creature that people are evil and must be eradicated. The crew faces off against this latest threat.

White-Wings: Pi... ña?
The latest creature summoned by the boss is bathed in a heavenly light as it spreads its pure white wings.
Laguna: Rgh... This can't be good!
Uzuki: What do you mean?
Laguna: You remember how I mentioned the Piña Bestiary contains a great power that its former holder couldn't draw out?
Laguna: From the looks of it, that white creature is the great power. Even Omar's Odyssey is cautioning me.
Rin: "With might enough to annihilate an entire nation..." Matches up with what you're saying, Laguna-san.
Rin leafs through pages of her notes which she copied from the Piña Bestiary.
Vyrn: If it's strong enough to do that, it's no different from a primal beast!
White-Wings: Pi... ña?
Black-Winged Boss: Piñañapiñaa! Piipiñappii!
White-Wings: Pi... ña?
Mio: Shimamu! What are they saying?
Uzuki: Um... They seem to be saying that people are evil and should be wiped off the face of the world...
Emily: Oh no! Piña, why!
Kaede: ...
Emily: Piña, being the hardworking creature it is, puts forth its best effort into everything. Despite not being very strong, it strives to keep us safe.
Emily: Piña and I may not speak the same language, but I know just how much it cares about us.
Kaede: (Like Emily-chan says, I have trouble believing Piña-chan really wants to go through with such a horrible thing.)
Kaede: (But every time Oscar-san gets close to Emily-chan, that creature gets oh so angry. Almost as if it's jealous.)
Emily: Please, Piña! You have to think this over! For me!
Oscar: Watch out, Emily! It's dangerous!
Black-Winged Boss: Piiña! Piñapippiii!
White-Wings: Pi... ña... Pi-ña...
The white-winged creature swiftly floats up into the air like a butterfly and looks down at the crew.
White-Wings: Pi... ña... Pi-ña...
Uzuki: It says what we've done to its brethren is unforgivable...
White-Wings: Pi-ña... Piñaa!
Uzuki: It wants to destroy all of mankind!
Rin: Nuh-uh! There's no way we're gonna take this lying down!
Mio: Yeah! Time to show 'em what we're capable of!
Vyrn: Let's do this, (Captain)!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Wistful Winds

The white-winged creature prepares to unleash a devastating explosion of light. Kaede prevents it, saving the day by singing a love song to mend what she presumes to be Piña's broken heart. It turns out Piña had mistaken Emily and Oscar to be lovers—not realizing that the two are siblings—and grew jealous. No longer feeling so bashful in this new environment, Kaede takes on a more cheery, punny mood.

White-Wings: Pi... ña...
Uzuki: Huff... Huff... We managed to fight it off...
Black-Winged Boss: Piñaa! Piñaaa!
Rosamia: We've won. Give it up already.
White-Wings: Pi... ña...
As if having come to an epiphany from the loss, the white-winged creature mutters something.
White-Wings: Pi... ña...
It rises high into the sky and begins instilling power into its staff.
Rin: The staff is glowing! What's it planning to do?
Laguna: Power enough to wipe out a nation... Omar's Odyssey is telling me the creature's going to unleash it!
Mio: We need to stop it right away!
Jessica: Yaah!
Jessica: Some strange power is preventing my bullets from getting through. We'll have to convince it to stop.
Emily: Please don't do this... Piña!
Black-Winged Boss: ...
The crew is at a loss on what to do as light continues to gather in the white-winged creature's staff.
Kaede: ...
Uzuki: Kaede-san?
Kaede walks forward seemingly with a plan in mind.
Kaede: I realized something... I think I know what started all this...
Black-Winged Boss: Piñaa! Piñapiñaaa!
Kaede: ...!
Lyria: Kaede-san! Please come back, it's dangerous!
Kaede: (My legs are shaking...)
Kaede: (I have something to tell it, but I lack the conviction...)
Kaede: Huh? My staff is glowing...
A strong wind begins to blow around Kaede, as if urging her forward.
Kaede: (I'm feeling so much braver... I can do this!)
Kaede: ...!
Kaede takes a deep breath, then begins singing.
Filled with an overwhelming urge to express her emotions, Kaede lights up with beautiful words pouring out of her lips, stoking the flames of her sudden burst of courage.
She chooses to sing rather than speak the words, feeling that would be more impactful, especially to those who speak a different tongue.
The song—one that Kaede holds dear to her heart—tells a tale of a melancholy love that just so happens to aptly describe the situation before them.
Kaede: ...!
Black-Winged Boss: ...
The wind rustles the leaves as if resonating with her voice's growing intensity. The trees act as a chorus, heightening the impact and poignancy of her message.
Like a magical spell, Kaede's song speaks to all life on the island.
Those tuning in cease all movement, spellbound by the solemn fervor of her voice.
Kaede: ...
Lyria & Vyrn: ...
Black-Winged Boss: Pi...
Black-Winged Boss: Piñaaaaaa!
As Kaede wraps up her song, the black-winged creature thought to be Piña breaks down into tears.
All creatures summoned from the book return from whence they came, as if all ill will has been purged from the town.
Piña: Piña... Piñaa...
Emily: Piña... You're back to normal.
Vyrn: Sweet! So Kaede's song has the power to purify, huh?
Kaede: Um, I'm not certain about that, but...
Kaede: I can tell you why Piña-chan shed tears over my song.
Kaede: Chances are Piña-chan is crushing hard on Emily-chan. I would say it's in love, even.
Emily: Piña... In love with me?
Kaede: Yes. It can't have been too happy to see that you and Oscar-san are lovers.
Kaede: In fact, I imagine it was a real shock, given how angry Piña-chan was every time you two spoke.
Rin: So that was the cause of this all? Uzuki, can you try confirming with it directly?
Uzuki: Sure!
After a brief chat with Piña, Uzuki learns that Kaede was on the mark.
Mio: Case of a broken heart, huh? That can't be a pleasant feeling, but it's also no reason to wipe out all of humanity.
Uzuki: Even though the sadness it felt was amplified by the magical tome, Piña's sorry about taking things so far.
Piña: Piña...
Piña droops its head in apology.
Jessica: I guess its anger toward the situation turned to hatred of all people...
Emily: Wait a minute! Me and Oscar aren't lovers!
All Four: Huh?
Mio: Well, you certainly don't seem like typical friends. I saw how you two were hugging earlier...
Emily: We're not friends either... We're siblings.
Oscar: There's three of us siblings actually. Emily calls my brother and I by name to distinguish between us.
Oscar: But if that caused confusion leading to this whole mess, then...
Oscar: We're really sorry!
Kaede: And I'm sorry for making assumptions. I had you completely pegged as a couple...
Piña: Piña?
Uzuki: Oh right, Piña needs to know too! Piña, piñapiña pi...
Uzuki lets Piña in on this newest tidbit.
Piña: Pi-Piña!
Emily: Sorry, Piña. It's my fault for not properly introducing Oscar to you.
Emily: Oscar's my brother. He spent years training in confection-making on another island before coming back home recently.
Oscar: Nice to meetcha. I'd heard what a great pal you are from Emily, so I've been wanting to meet you for the longest time.
Piña: Pi-Piña...
Emily: About you having feelings for me...
Emily: It makes me so happy to know that! I love you too, Piña!
Emily is all smiles as she embraces Piña.
Piña: Piñaaaa!
Rin: I'm glad we got the confusion cleared up. Look how happy Emily is.
Uzuki: Haha, transcendental love is such a beautiful thing!
Mio: But look at the circumstances, what with their languages being different and all...
Rin: I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work. I mean, just think back to how we were able to connect with the various types of creatures that flew out of the book.
Rin: And it's that much easier if it's someone you already know and care about.
Mio: You might have a point! I befriended that blue striped one after a nice game of soccer!
Uzuki: If you ever need to discuss something that's a bit more complicated, I'm always willing to help!
Emily: Thanks! I'll keep that in mind!
White-Wings: Pi... ña...
Seeing smiles all around, the white-winged creature sees that peace has been restored and quietly fades away.
Vyrn: It must've figured there's no need to wipe us out anymore and went back into the book.
Emily: Um, thank you for all your help today, everyone!
Emily: There must be something I can do to repay the favor! How would you like to stay the night? I'll give you top-of-the-line service!
Oscar: I know a really good restaurant around here. Can I at least treat you guys to a meal there?
Vyrn: Sounds good to me! We were talking about a welcome party for Kaede earlier, so this all works out!
Kaede: A welcome party for me?
Rin: Mm-hm. We figured you might be feeling uneasy, since you're still new to the world.
Mio: Kae-neesama sure has brightened up a lot since we first saw her though. And here I thought she was the shy type.
Kaede: I'll admit the anxiety's still there. But maybe because I sang earlier, I'm feeling a bit more sociable now.
Vyrn: So how 'bout that welcome party? C'mon—we're friends now, right, Kaede?
Kaede: I'm happy to hear you say that. But...
Kaede bites her lip, dismayed at the damage done to the town.
Kaede: I'd feel bad about having a party just for me when the town's in disrepair.
Kaede: How about we have the party after we help get the town back in order?
Rin: Sure. I'd be up for that.
Emily: So you'll help with repairs then? That is such a relief!
Kaede: Haha... I love paying it forward and seeing the smiles come full circle.
Kaede: Being in an alternate world right now means all the world to me.
The incident revolving around the Piña Bestiary has come to a peaceful resolution.
A welcome party for Kaede is set to take place in this town after some restoration work, but that's to come a tad bit later.
To be continued...

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 4: Let the Party Begin! - Episode 1

With repairs of the town completed, the crew finally gets to hold a welcome party for Kaede. Laguna, Rosetta, and Lamretta also join in on the fun. Mio suggests they play a game to keep the party interesting; Kaede proposes the overlord game.

Human Man: There, that should just about do it! That's the last of the repairs!
Uzuki: Whew! What a relief to hear that!
Kaede: Time to find a place to unwind with the wind against my back.
Days have passed since the incident revolving around the Piña Bestiary.
The town took quite a hit, but thanks to the efforts of (Captain) and company, things are returning to normal.
Vyrn: You do a mean paint job, Kaede. Your attention to detail came in handy big-time!
Kaede: You think so? I'm just glad I could help.
Emily: Thank you for your hard work, everyone. We brought you all some sweet treats to show our appreciation.
Piña: Piñaa!
Mio: Thanks, Emily! Your goodies are the best I've had in a while!
Rin: Now that repairs are done, why don't we move forward with that welcome party?
Oscar: The restaurant's ready for you! I already spoke to them about it!
Laguna: The place I was going to suggest happens to be run by his friend, so it all works out.
Lyria: Lucky us! Then tonight...
Rin: We'll be celebrating both the town's reconstruction and Kaede's arrival in this world.
Oscar: Since plenty of townsfolk will be there to celebrate, I'm afraid I couldn't reserve the whole restaurant.
Oscar: But you will have a rather spacious room to relax in.
Kaede: Oh, that's perfectly fine. I'll be making the rounds and saying hello to everyone once I've finished my meal.
Vyrn: This is gonna be one heck of a shindig!
Kaede: Everyone who shows up is getting a party-cipation award!
Kaede: Glug...
Kaede: Phew! Nice to know the booze in this world is just as good!
Lamretta: You're the star of the party, Kaede-chan! Bottoms up!
Rosetta: We're here to have a good time, but I hope you two don't take it too far tonight.
Kaede: Of course! We'll be careful!
And so begins Kaede's welcoming soiree on this fine evening.
Crew members who were resting aboard the Grandcypher have also come to celebrate.

Laguna: You might've noticed, but they also serve many non-alcoholic drinks here. My recommendation is milk, of course.
Uzuki: Haha, it's not an easy choice when you have this many options. Hrm...
Sierokarte: So this is where everyone is! Great job solving that mess the other day!
Rin: Oh, even Sierokarte's come to the island.
Sierokarte: The many local specialties you find around here are popular items on the market, so I drop by regularly.
Sierokarte: I had a joke about what a remarkable job you guys did with the town's reconstruction, but I'm still hammering out the details. Teehee.
Kaede: (Ooh, a pun!)
Sierokarte tells everyone to enjoy themselves, then takes off.
Mio: Now that we've gotten into the groove of things, how about we play some kind of party game?
Uzuki: Like what?
Mio: Surely you've played games like musical chairs or duck, duck, goose in school before. Not that we need icebreakers like those right now though...
Kaede: I happen to know the perfect game for us.
Uzuki: Oh yeah? Now I'm curious! What is it?
Kaede: It's called...
Kaede: The overlord game!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 4: Let the Party Begin! - Episode 2

Having played the overlord game with Kaede before and familiar with how that usually turns out, Rin grows wary. However, Lamretta shows great interest in this unfamiliar game and imagines what it'd be like if she played it with the personalities within her. One of her wilder personalities, Lam, comes to the forefront as overlord.

Rin: Overlord game?
Rin bolts up in surprise at hearing those words from Kaede's mouth.
Uzuki: Rin-chan, everything okay?
Rin: Erm... It's just that I've played the overlord game with Kaede-san before, and...
Mio: And you had so much fun that just the mention of it has you jumping for joy, huh?
Mio: I didn't know you had that much energy in you, Shiburin!
Rin: Psst, no! It's the opposite! You don't want to know what happened to Kaede-san...
Lamretta: Overlord game? Never heard of that one. How do we play, Kaede-chan?
Kaede: Hm, how should I put it...
Kaede briefly explains the rules of the overlord game.
Lamretta: Hm-hm, sho we decide on the overlord by raffle, who then givesh everyone orders?
Lamrettas: Who's gonna be overlord?
Lamretta: Yay, yay! I drew the overlord card!
Rammy: All right, Lamretta. Give us your orders!
Lamretta: Your overlord commands you to drink the night away!
Lammy & Rammy: Cheers! Glug, glug...
Lammy & Rammy: Phew! So good!
Red: Burp... Why am I seein' rainbows...
Rammy: Take it easy, Red. We're moving on to the next round. Ready those cards, everyone!
Lammy: Let's go, go, gooo!
Lamrettas: Who's gonna be overlord?
Lammy: Meee! I get to give the order!
Lammy: What the... Who snatched my card!
Lam: Twas I.
A fifth alter ego appears and grips the overlord card.
Rammy: Lam! You were shupposed to be sleeping!
Lam: Yer insatiable thirst fer the good stuff roused me from the tenebrous depths of insobriety.
Lam: Hehe... Ye have my gratitude.
Lam: Mwahahaha! Let us continue with this recreation! Yer overlord commands you to—
Lamretta: Zowie! Lam is bad news!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 4: Let the Party Begin! - Episode 3

When Lam takes on the role of demon overlord, Kaede relates how dangerous it would be if a true demon overlord were to draw the overlord's card in their game. Rin is dubious about the very notion, but Kaede believes that there's never any telling what might happen.

Lamretta: Rgh! Stop tryin' to coercsh us!
Lamretta: I long for a world where all and sundry drink until the Crimson Horizon freezes over.
Lamretta: Ye shall be my faithful servants to that end. Take pride as ye become the cornerstones of my gloriously hammered world.
Lamretta: Eeep! The demon overlord's out for blood! When did thish turn into the demon overlord game?
Uzuki: Um, Lamretta, I'm not sure I understand you...
Lamretta: Ngh... Who in their right mind would ever—
Lamretta: Wait, Lam's idea isn't so bad now that I think about it...
Vyrn: Sigh... What's she daydreaming about this time?
Rosetta: Any proper lady knows that you're supposed to drink in moderation.
Rosetta: Here, have some water. Also, you might want to tone it down a bit.
Lamretta: Glug, glug... Thanks for that... Whew, I think my alter egos are gone...
Rin: (Rosetta-san seems accustomed to helping those who've had too much to drink. It's a relief to have her here.)
Kaede: A despot who wishes to conquer the world for personal benefit?
Kaede: It's true that an evil tyrant drawing the overlord's card would only spell disaster.
Rin: But as long as you're playing the overlord game with close friends, that's unlikely to happen. Besides, no matter how much luck you have in this game, you'd never acquire enough power to dominate the world.
Kaede: Is that what you think? Even among your closest friends, there's often no telling what's going through their head.
Uzuki: Kaede-san? What's that supposed to mean?
Kaede: Hehehe... Let me elaborate...

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 4: Let the Party Begin! - Episode 4

Kaede imagines a scenario where she herself draws the overlord's card and reveals her true identity as a demonic punster diva who wishes to recreate the world in her vision. As overlord, she orders a pun-off between Uzuki and Lyria, at the end of which she holds both captive. Rin readies her sword to save her friends and stop this nefarious plot.

Uzuki: How could you, Kaede-san!
Lyria: Please tell me that's not true!
Kaede: Hahaha... Things are proceeding more smoothly than I expected.
Kaede turns to the awestruck Uzuki and Lyria with a devious grin.
Along with Rin, the four girls are playing the overlord game.
Kaede seems to have taken on a whole new personality immediately after drawing the overlord's card.
Kaede: My apologies for not introducing myself earlier. I am a demon overlord sent from another world to recreate this one.
Kaede: I've disguised myself as a weak-willed songstress, all while biding my time to dispose of you troublesome pests.
Lyria: You couldn't possibly be a demon overlord! Because you're our dear friend, Kaede-san...
Rin: Kaede-san must be under some kind of mind control! Let's try to break the spell on her!
Kaede: Hehe, your naivete will be your undoing. Cling to your hope if you wish, but I shall show you the futility of your actions.
Kaede: Sick Stick.
Kaede: Fantastic Fan.
Two instruments of war serving as Kaede's loyal servants manifest before her.
Rin: Yeah, this is definitely the Kaede I know...
Kaede: Bow down before my true form...
Kaede: I am Punster Diva Kaede from the wisecracking world of Joke's-on-You!
Kaede: My end goal is to bring about a past, present, and future where people can pun to their heart's content...
Kaede: It will be tense.
Uzuki & Lyria: ...
Rin: It's not like there's a rule saying we can't pun in this world, you know...
Kaede: Now that my self-introduction's out of the way, let's get to the topic at hand.
Kaede flaunts her overlord card while sizing up the others.
Kaede: Number one and number two?
Uzuki: I'm number one...
Lyria: I'm number two...
Kaede: Hehe. Come forward, please.
Rin: ...
Compelled to obey their overlord, Uzuki and Lyria take a few steps toward Kaede.
Kaede: I hereby order you to have a pun-off!
Uzuki: Eek! A pun-off, as in a contest?
Kaede: Yes, I'll explain. Punning alone is simple enough; anyone can do it. But to win, you'll have to come up with more puns than your opponent.
Kaede: The loser will be locked up. I hope that's enough incentive to give it your best shot.
Rin: Okay, now you're going too far—
Sick Stick: ...!
Rin: What the...
Kaede's weapon stops Rin from trying to interfere with the competition.
Kaede: Oh, no, no, Rin-chan. Don't make me pun-ish you.
Kaede: Now without further ado, let's get the show started!
Lyria: B-but I've never been much of a punner...
Uzuki: Nothing's coming to mind...
Uzuki: Aiiee!
Fantastic Fan: ...!
Lyria: Yikes! I'm thinking, I'm thinking!
Uzuki: Hrm... Puns... Kaede-san... Kaede... Leaves...
Uzuki: Ah!
Uzuki: I need to be-leaf in myself!
Kaede: Okay. One point for you, Uzuki-chan.
Lyria: Singing a song... Getting seasick on the sea... A frog's child is a frog...
Kaede: Sorry, Lyria-chan. I appreciate the effort, but those don't really qualify as puns.
Fantastic Fan: ...!
Kaede: Oh, look at the time. You have ten seconds left. Ten, nine, eight, seven...
Lyria: Aye yai yai!
Lyria: I can't think of anything!
Uzuki: You can do it, Lyria-chan!
Kaede: Three, two, one...
Kaede: Time's up! Give it up for Uzuki-chan!
Kaede: Sorry, Lyria-chan. But we'll have to take you away now.
The fan sweeps up Lyria the moment her loss is locked in.
Lyria: Eep! Uzuki-san, I... I...
Uzuki: Everything will be okay, Lyria-chan! I'll come with you! I won't let you be dragged off alone!
Rin: Uzuki, what are you—
Uzuki: I could've saved Lyria-chan if I didn't say that pun! It's my fault if anything happens to her!
Rin: Wait, Uzuki. Kaede-san's the one who made up these arbitrary rules. None of this is your fault.
Kaede: Yay, I get to take away the both of you at once!
Uzuki & Lyria: Eep!
Kaede: Heheh. That leaves the two of us, Rin-chan.
Rin: ...
Rin: (I have to do something about this absolutely ridiculous mess before it gets any crazier!)
Readying her sword, Rin glares at the mischievous punster diva.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 5: Punster Diva: Kaede's Offensive - Episode 1

Back in reality, Rin disregards such a situation as an impossibility. However, Mio expresses great interest and wishes to play the role of hero. With the other crew members as fellow heroes in her quest to stop the demon overlord, a grand tale of sorcery and punnery ensues.

Kaede: That's one possible scenario if I had my way...
Rin: How about no... Why would you be a demon overlord anyway?
Kaede: Would I not do a good job?
Rin: It's more like you don't look the part...
Mio: I think it'd work! I mean, the way Kaede-san described it, she'd do a fantastic job of hamming it up!
Uzuki: I got so hyped just listening to Kaede-san talk about her goals for the world!
Lyria: I think Kaede-san would make a great demon overlord too!
Rin: Wow, you guys are really into this... I'll admit it's an interesting idea, but it was all in Kaede-san's head...
Kaede: If anyone's thinking of making holy water to combat me, make sure you boil the hell out of it beforehand.
Lyria: I still don't understand why Uzuki-chan and I had to be detained though.
Rin: Yeah, there wasn't much of an explanation. Maybe that was all part of the act?
Mio: Surely it's to place you in a punning chamber so you can get some extra practice!
Mio: "All citizens of Pun Land are bound by law to become funster punsters," Kaede might say.
Kaede: Love the idea! Any proud resident of Pun Land should be able to hold a punny conversation!
Uzuki: I'm not sure how long I'd last in such a place...
Rin: Yeah, same here. Most people would probably feel the same...
Laguna: If we're to go by the book, any story with a demon overlord looking to take over the world needs a hero to match.
Rosetta: Ooh, even Laguna's having a good time.
Laguna: I've always been a huge fan of folklore and legends.
Mio: And so the hero stands up to the overlord...
Mio: I'm loving this story more and more!
Rosetta: Uzuki-chan and Rin-chan can be the heroes. They journey with their allies in hopes of one day ending the demon overlord's reign.
Rosetta: All the while unaware that said overlord was within their midst.
Rosetta: What was discussed earlier can be the revelation scene.
Vyrn: How do you even come up with all this fluff from such a wacky premise? I've gotta give you guys credit...
Mio: Hey, I wanna join in on this adventure as one of the heroes!
Uzuki: Yay! Always glad to have another party member!
Mio: Besides, as the leader of New Generations, I couldn't possibly leave my captured allies to fend for themselves.
Laguna: Fascinating. Count me in as a hero too.
Lamretta: Me too, me too! And you, Rosetta?
Rosetta: Well, we couldn't possibly have two demon overlords running around... Add me to the roster of heroes.
Vyrn: We might as well play the good guys too, (Captain)!
Kaede: My, my, the odds are certainly stacked against me, aren't they.
And so begins the tale of a demon overlord's wild ambition to create a puntastical world and the heroes who must stop her.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 5: Punster Diva: Kaede's Offensive - Episode 2

In order for the heroes to rescue their captive allies, they must break through Kaede's force field by saying clever puns. However, she counters every pun with one of her own, nullifying any damage dealt. As hero after hero loses in the pun-off and joins the list of growing captives, the arrival of an unexpected punster catches Kaede off guard.

Uzuki: Bad puns are how eye roll... Bad puns are how eye roll... Sigh...
Sick Stick: ...!
Lyria: Okay... I'm learning to integrate... Because it's such a grate day...
Uzuki and Lyria are each in solitary confinement behind Kaede, undergoing the torture of having to repeat various puns ad infinitum.
Rin: How awful... I need to save them right away!
Kaede: Hah. You think you have what it takes, hero?
Mio: Punster Diva Kaede! It saddens me to know that one of my closest friends was the demon overlord this whole time!
Mio: But I will not cower before such evil! Prepare yourself!
Mio raises her star-shooting pistol and fires at the locks to Uzuki's and Lyria's cells.
Kaede: Glockamole... Guacamole...
Mio: Rgh! My bullets aren't getting through!
Kaede's pun gives rise to a force field which deflects Mio's bullets.
Kaede: Say hello to my pun field. It grows in intensity with every pun that comes out of my mouth and keeps me safe.
Kaede: On the other hand, it diminishes in power every time one of you says a pun.
Kaede: Go ahead, do your worst. I'll show you why I'm known as the punster diva.
Vyrn: Aw crud... This is gonna be one heck of a battle!
Rin: There's no way we can out-pun Kaede-san! We'll have to think of something else!
Kaede: As if I'd give you that time. The race is on, you know.
Fantastic Fan: ...
Kaede points to the timer hanging from her floating fan.
Rosetta: Looks like we'll have to take her on after all. We might have a chance, given how many people we have.
Mio: Pun, pun... Okay!
Mio: Mio reporting for duty! Think you can beat me? Oh, boy!
Mio: That put a crack in the pun field! If we can just keep this up...
Kaede: Oh, mamma Mio! Nice try!
Mio: Oof!
Lamretta: That looks fun! I wanna play too!
Lamretta: Sobriety is not in my vodkabulary!
Kaede: I bet your relationship with vodka is on the rocks!
Lamretta: Erk!
Rin: Spoken like a true diva...
Despite everyone's best efforts, Kaede easily counters every pun with ease, immediately restoring her force field.
Fantastic Fan: ...!
Kaede: Time's up. I win, three to two.
Kaede: As a penalty, you'll have to give up Mio-chan for an hour as a mea culpa. Or as I like to call it, a mea-o'-hour.
Mio: Wha? Me!
Mio: Eek!
Rin: Mio!
Mio: Aiiee! Shiburin, I'm leaving everything to you!
Rin: We'll handle it. Hang in there, Mio!
Rin: Rgh... I can't believe this.
Kaede: Now for round two. Here's hoping you'll have better luck.
Kaede claps her hands to signal the start of the next match.
Laguna: Do you guys see the pitfall in the rules? Every round we lose, we get one member taken away.
Laguna: The longer this game drags on, the worse our chances of winning. We want to win this ASAP.
Vyrn: Sure, but how do we go about doing that?
Laguna: Any demon overlord who imposes such a one-sided rule does not deserve a fair game. I say we cheat.
Laguna brandishes her Omar's Odyssey and looks straight at Kaede.
Kaede: No breaking the rules, Laguna-chan.
Laguna: Oh, I can play by the book. Fortunately you don't seem to have any rules against me drawing battle memories from my weapon!
Lamretta: Go for it, Laguna! You're our best shot at this right now!
Kaede: ...
Laguna: Darn!
Laguna: Looks like he doesn't have any experience with punsters either!
Lamretta: Whooaa...
Vyrn: Yeah, pun battles aren't exactly an everyday thing...
Fantastic Fan: ...!
Kaede: You couldn't come up with a single pun in the allotted time. I win again.
Vyrn: Wait up! Isn't this supposed to be a tie?
Kaede: Unfortunately for you, I'm counting the pun I said when I had Mio-chan taken away.
Kaede: Come here, Laguna-chan. Don't lag behind the fantastic fan now.
Laguna: Forgive me, everyone! I leave the world in your hands!
Lamretta: Lagunaaa!
Kaede: Now for round three.
The pun-off resumes in Kaede's favor.
Kaede: Come here, Vyrn, before you get burned.
Vyrn: Brgwaah!
Kaede: Lamretta-chan, how would you like your rum in a redder glass?
Lamretta: (Captain)!
Kaede's onslaught of wordplay continues unabated, eventually leaving only (Captain), Rin, and Rosetta to contend with her.
Rin: ...
Kaede: I forget which round we're on, but never mind that. Let's just keep going.
Rosetta: Rin-chan, we should call it quits while we can. If we had a pun-o-meter, it'd say that she overpowers us by a million to one.
Rin: We can't give up! Think of our friends who've been taken captive!
Uzuki: Bad puns are not how eye roll! Bad puns are not how eye roll!
Lyria: I'm already integrated! So grate me a cheese sandwich!
Vyrn: I'm red-y to win! Our prospects are apple-ing!
Rin: They'll live out the rest of their lives not being able to say anything other than puns! And I won't stand for that!
Rin: We have to settle this before the brainwashing's complete!
???: I lobe you guys too much to let that happen!
Kaede: ...!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 5: Punster Diva: Kaede's Offensive - Episode 3

Sierokarte has come by only to drop off some food and gets ready to leave. But when Mio explains to her the severity of the situation, Sierokarte formally joins the fray.

Uzuki: Huh? You're the Knickknack Shack's shopkeep...
All eyes turn to Sierokarte, who is holding large trays of food.
Sierokarte: Teehee. I came running as soon as I heard someone punning away.
Sierokarte: This food's from the proprietor. Best eat up while it's still hot.
Kaede: How kind of you. I was just getting hungry.
Sierokarte: Sorry to interrupt such a fine party. I'll be off now!
Mio: Waaaiiitt!
Mio calls out to Sierokarte before she can leave.
Mio: Shopkeep, won't you stay and pun with us for a bit?
Sierokarte: Hm?
Mio: We're having a pun-off with Kaede-san, and she's completely dominating us!
Rin: If the shopkeep's with us, we just might stand a chance...
Uzuki: Please! The world is on the brink of collapse!
Sierokarte: Hrm, I'm not sure I understand what's going on here...
Sierokarte: But if it's a punster you need, then count me in!
Mio: Yes! Our savior has come!
Kaede: Haha. Go easy on me, won't you?
Sierokarte: My words exactly.
The pun-loving Sierokarte joins in on the game, taking the competition to the next level.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 5: Punster Diva: Kaede's Offensive - Episode 4

Legendary Punceress Sierokarte and Punster Diva Kaede are evenly matched. However, the puns of (Captain) and company turn the tide in their favor, allowing them to break through Kaede's pun field and free their captive allies. Unwilling to admit defeat, she orders her stick and fan underlings to attack the crew.

Sierokarte: Teehee.
Kaede: ...
Punster Diva Kaede grimaces at the unexpected appearance of enemy reinforcements.
Mio: Oh my gosh...
Mio: Aren't you the Punceress Sierokarte, legendary master of all things in the world of wordplay?
Rin: Punceress? You mean, like a sorceress?
Uzuki: Please! You have to save us, Punceress! We're being held against our will!
Sierokarte: Hahaha! I don't know if I'd call myself a punceress, but I sure can pun like nobody's business!
Kaede: I've heard of you. I must say, it's an honor to meet you in person...
Sierokarte: So you're looking to fashion this world into one where puns are the norm for everyone, huh?
Sierokarte: That sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to see how it turns out!
Rin: Oh no, she's going to join Kaede-san!
Mio: No, no, no! The world needs your help, Punceress!
Sierokarte: Teehee, just kidding!
Kaede: Your reputation precedes you, Sierokarte-san. As the punster diva, I always did want to have a go at it with you.
Sierokarte: Well, I can't leave everyone to their own diva-ces when they so kindly asked for my help.
Rosetta: Hm, not too shabby of a start.
Kaede: You might've gotten in the first blow, but I hope you're prepared to be blown away!
Sierokarte: Sounds like you're banking on a win, but you don't even have anyone's interest. Just make sure you don't lose your balance.
Kaede: As a demon overlord, my puns are sure to land. Because your sole is mine! You're the one who will be tripping up!
Rin: My goodness... They're having an actual conversation with puns...
Rosetta: Now's the time to take action while Siero has her occupied.
Rin: You're right... Let's do this!
Rin: Sparkle like a sapphire! Fire!
Rosetta: Time to plant our feet and rose to the occasion!
Kaede: Ngh!
Rosetta: Her force field's weakening. Now, (Captain)!
(Captain) runs up to Kaede, ready to pun.
  1. I'm gonna shred your tear-able puns!
  2. Don't be salty after this as-salt!
  3. Knife to meet you too!
  4. My sword's mightier than your puns!

Choose: I'm gonna shred your tear-able puns!
Choose: Don't be salty after this as-salt!
Choose: Knife to meet you too!
Choose: My sword's mightier than your puns!
Kaede: Eep!
Sick Stick: ...!
Vyrn: Now's our chance to hightail it outta here!
Laguna: First, we get our friends out!
Seeing that Kaede's pun field is shattered, Laguna takes the opportunity to rout the sick stick.
Uzuki: Rin-chan!
Rin: Uzuki, Mio, everyone! Thank goodness you're okay...
Sierokarte: Teeheehee. Nice to see you're all safe.
Sierokarte: Well, I still have a few business meetings to attend, so I'll be taking my leave now.
Mio: Thank you so much for your help, Punceress!
Sierokarte waves back one last time with a smile before taking off.
Kaede: How could this happen...
Rosetta: Give it up, Kaede-chan. Your plan for world domination is in shambles.
Kaede: No... This isn't over yet!
Kaede responds defiantly to Rosetta's rebuke.
Kaede: Sick Stick, Fantastic Fan!
Stick & Fan: ...!
Kaede: I give my power to you. Crush my enemies!
Uzuki: Oh no! Kaede-san's transferring all her power to her weapons!
Mio: Looks like we have another fight ahead of us. Let's do this!
Rin: The world hangs in the balance... We can't afford to lose!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 6: The Mastermind Emerges - Episode 1

Lamretta wishes to see a happy ending for everyone in this story, even the villain Kaede. Though the idol is satisfied with the current ending, the others don't want anyone to feel left out, and so they try to come up with a conclusion where every single person reaches a true happy ending.

Lamretta: Hold it right there!
Just as this tale of punnery is about to come to an end, Lamretta raises a protest.
Uzuki: Lamretta-san, what's wrong?
Lamretta: Kaede-chan ended up the only loser in this story. How can we call that a happy ending?
Rin: Well, the demon overlord has to take the fall if we want world peace. I don't see any other way.
Kaede: Being the one who volunteered to take on that role, I'm satisfied with the conclusion.
Lamretta: Nuh-uh! Every one of us should be able to taste the joy of victory! And that includes Kaede-chan!
Lamretta: I know all too well what it's like to be the girl at a party that can't relate when everyone is boasting about their love lives!
Rosetta: Lamretta-chan, you've had too much to drink. Why make things harder than they have to be?
Uzuki: She makes a good point. Being the only loser can't be a good feeling...
Mio: Not to add insult to injury, but Kaede-san's also our senpai...
Rin: But how can you achieve world peace if you let the demon overlord run amok?
Kaede: If I have to give up puns to be on the winning side, I'll gladly be a loser.
Kaede: As Punster Diva Kaede, of course!
Lamretta: I have just the idea for how Kaede-chan can be happy too! Hear me out!
Lamretta whispers her plan in Kaede's ear.
Kaede: You're right. If we go with that, I get to partake in a happy ending with everyone!
Lamretta: Leave the details to me! We're reshtarting from an earlier scene!
And so the tale of punnery continues.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 6: The Mastermind Emerges - Episode 2

Back in the fantasy scenario, Punster Diva Kaede clutches her head in pain. The stick and fan panic, suspecting she may be breaking free of the spell they put on her. The crew then realize Kaede may very well be the legendary punceress—often compared to Sierokarte—who had gone missing and so help her come to her senses.

Uzuki, Rin, Mio: Hrgh!

Haaah!

Yaaah!
Stick & Fan: ...!
Kaede: Aiieee!
(Captain) and company run up to Kaede with their weapons directed at her.
Mio: Punster Diva Kaede, you're finished! Give it up!
Kaede: Rrghh...
Uzuki: Huh? Kaede-san?
Kaede: My head hurts... Urgh!
Kaede clutches her head and lurches forward in pain.
Sick Stick: ...!
Has our spell on Kaede come undone?
Fantastic Fan: Darn it! What do we do now?
Uzuki: Huh? You two can actually talk?
Sick Stick: This is bad. We need to get things back under control!
The weapons converge above Kaede and start chanting a magical incantation.
Kaede: Mngh...
Vyrn: What's goin' on here!
Lamretta: We can get Kaede-chan to join our side! We've gotta stop whatever spell they're chanting!
Lamretta: Haven't you ever heard of the other legendary punceress that can stand toe to toe with Siero? The one whose name... is Kaede!
Lamretta: That's right—the Kaede-chan we know could be that punceress! We have to save her!
Vyrn: A second punceress, huh? This story gets crazier by the second...
Mio: I've heard of her too! The kingdom's punceress who suddenly went missing one day!
Uzuki: What! Really?
Mio: Court Punceress Kaede... A master of wind magic who brought glory to the kingdom! Her expert punnery exposed the kingdom's enemies!
Mio: That's how the king put it! So there's no mistaking it!
Uzuki: Court Punceress... Now I get why Kaede-san was always such an incredible spellcaster!
Rin: (They ad-libbed that pretty well... Now it's my turn!)
Rin: You mean, the stick and fan might be the true masterminds behind all this?
Rosetta: That hasn't been confirmed, but it's very likely.
Rosetta: We have to save Kaede-chan to uncover the truth.
Rosetta: I'm gonna need you to sit this one out!
Sick Stick: Wh-what with these vines! I can't move!
Fantastic Fan: I'll save you!
Lamretta: Not on my watch! Eat this!
Fantastic Fan: Rgh! I'm covered in wine!
The weapons are rendered immobile by Rosetta's vines and Lamretta's wine.
Rin: Now's our chance to save Kaede-san!
Kaede: Aahhh!
Laguna: Tch, the spell's already been activated. In that case...
Laguna knocks Kaede away and takes her spot in the magical light, seemingly falling unconscious.
Kaede: Laguna-chan! Laguna-chan's... Ah!
Sick Stick: Crud! The shock of seeing a friend knocked out completely broke the spell on her!
Fantastic Fan: We'll just have to make do with this Draph as our new demon overlord!
The stick and fan muster up just enough energy to float over to Laguna.
Laguna: Hah, you wish.
Sick Stick: What the! Why didn't it work on her?
Laguna readies her Omar's Odyssey as if to fend them off.
Laguna: My weapon's got plenty of experience fighting while spellbound. That's why your spell had no effect on me. Moreover...
Laguna: You must have your heads up your handles if you think I'd make a decent demon overlord! You want one that can pun, and I haven't said a single pun today!
Stick & Fan: Ngh!
Uzuki: You haven't said a pun yet?
Vyrn: Sounds about right to me.
Laguna: (More like I just couldn't find the right timing...)
Kaede: Ugh... Thank goodness you're okay, Laguna-chan...
Mio: Kaede-san!
Mio breathes a sigh of relief and runs over to Kaede.
Mio: The evil aura about you is gone...
Mio: It must be true about you being the Kaede who's also a punceress!
Kaede: Yes, you've found me out. It is I indeed, Court Punceress Kaede Takagi...
Kaede: Under the king's orders, I've been traveling the world to root out evil from where it stems.
Uzuki & Mio: ...
Kaede: I remember it all now... How I became the demon overlord...
Kaede takes a deep breath and begins describing the events that led to the current state of affairs.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 6: The Mastermind Emerges - Episode 3

In a flashback, Court Punceress Kaede has been investigating an ancient castle under her king's orders. Kaede easily breaks through the pun field protecting the castle, unaware that it was a trap set by an evil stick and fan. The weapons seize Kaede's desire to pun to her heart's content and turn her into a demon overlord.

Kaede: This is it... the ancient castle the king mentioned...
Kaede: Pant... Wheeze... I know I can fulfill this mission.
When word began to spread of an ominous force set on world punnery gathering in this remote castle...
Kaede was dispatched to investigate and put an end to whatever evil was manifesting. She now stands before the castle doors.
Kaede: This must be the pun field mentioned in the report...
Kaede: What do you get when you cross a sorceress with a wealthy noble? You get a very witch person.
Kaede: But it only lasts for a spell.
Kaede: Heheh.
Kaede: No pun field is safe in my presence, even if they are invincible to everything else.
Kaede's clever wordplay allows her to enter the castle with ease.
Kaede: A shame that went so well. I had so many more puns prepared for today.
Kaede proceeds through the forgotten castle halls, searching for the diabolical source of magic festering within.
Kaede: The king mentioned that something in this castle wants to rule the world with puns.
Kaede: But if you ask me, that might not actually be such a bad thing...
Kaede: No! Shame on you, Kaede! Stop thinking like that!
Having rather enjoyed the earlier punnery she used to deactivate the pun field, a tinge of sorrow stirs in Kaede's heart.
As if to wash away that sorrow, she tightly grips her staff while continuing on to the magic source.
Kaede: It's coming from this room...
Kaede: ...!
What is that...
Kaede has traced the magical energy to the throne room, where an eerie ball of light sits atop the throne.
Kaede: That must be the power the king spoke of. I must return at once to report my findings!
???: My, my, you must be quite the punster to make it this far.
???: At long last, someone worthy of being our demon overlord... The day has finally come!
Kaede: Huh? Come again?
Kaede takes a defensive posture as the weapons belly up to her.
Kaede: So it's you two who pose a threat to the world. What is your goal in all this?
???: Tis a truly rotten world. People shudder and roll their eyes at the mere hint of a pun. Some even dare to disregard the profound witticisms as cheap dad jokes.
???: Thus we've made it our mission to change the status quo, to create a world where people can pun to their hearts' content without fear of being shunned.
???: However, we are nothing more than weapons. Without someone to wield us, we lack the means to exercise our true power, nor can we pun.
???: That's why we set up the pun field to lure those with exceptional talent to the castle.
???: And that is what led you here to shatter the field and become our demon overlord.
Kaede: Unfortunately, I'm under orders from the king to investigate—not to become your master.
Kaede: I'll be going now. The king awaits my return.
???: Why is it so hard for you to be true to your heart?
???: Surely you wish to pun without fearing what others may think. For there is no greater joy in life.
Kaede: I... That's not...
Kaede: I swore from a young age to use my skill in punnery solely for the glory of the kingdom...
???: So you won't admit it, I see... Very well!
Kaede: Aagh!
???: Yes! Unleash the punnery within you!
???: Feed your inner desires. Show the world what you can do!
Kaede: (What's this energy flowing into me... Ngh, I can't take it anymore...)
Kaede: Dear me, what a sick stick you are.
Kaede: And aren't you the most fantastic fan I've ever seen!
Kaede: (Th-this is kinda fun...)
Sick Stick: Well said, Overlord... We hereby dub you Punster Diva Kaede... Let us change the world together!
Kaede: Gwaaah!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Chapter 6: The Mastermind Emerges - Episode 4

Having broken free of the stick and fan's spell on her, Kaede apologizes to the crew for everything she's done and confronts the weapons. She exclaims that as much as she loves puns, it is even more important to protect the freedoms of all—including those who wish to lead a pun-free life. Uzuki and Mio rally behind Kaede, and so begins the final battle between the heroes and the insidious weapons.

Kaede: When I came to, I had become the punster diva who threatened to overtake the world.
Uzuki, Rin, Mio: ...
Kaede: The weakness in my heart led to this whole mess. I could not resist the allure of puns.
Kaede: Though I was not myself, it does not change the horrible things I did to all of you. I am truly sorry.
Kaede bows her head in apology.
Uzuki: Life must have been hard for you, being born with the power of punnery...
Uzuki: But things are going to get better from now on! I promise to do my best to pun with you the next time you say one!
Rin: Uzuki, I think your effort is better used elsewhere...
Sick Stick: Kaede's powers belong to us!
Fantastic Fan: We're going to make sure of that! She will succumb to the power of punnery once more!
Laguna: Urgh!
Laguna and the others who were keeping the fan and stick in check are knocked away by a surge of magical light.
Kaede: I won't fall for the same trick twice!
Kaede unleashes a card toward the stick and a gale toward the fan, halting their progress.
Fantastic Fan: Rhg! Your title of Court Punceress is no fluke after all.
Kaede: There's something I want to tell you two.
Kaede: If I'm being kind, I can concede to a world of punnery.
Kaede: However, you have to be out of your minds to think that alone will allow you to conquer the world!
Everyone: Wha?
Stick & Fan: No way!
Rin: Kaede-san, of all people, refuting puns?
Kaede: Your plan was doomed to fail from its inception! Stop this madness already!
Sick Stick: B-but... We know you love puns like nothing else!
Sick Stick: If puns became the norm in the new world order, there'd be no need for you to hold back anymore!
Sick Stick: Why must your path stray from ours?
Kaede: I'll admit it's been fun...
Kaede: Past, present, and future... It will be tense!
Kaede: Being a demon overlord who can pun till the cows come home...
Kaede: Come here, Vyrn, before you get burned.
Kaede: Going from one pun to the next...
Kaede: You might've gotten in the first blow, but I hope you're prepared to be blown away!
Kaede: And finishing it off with the pun-off of my dreams...
Sick Stick: Then help us achieve our end goal! Your quality of life will improve by leaps and bounds!
Kaede: But... But!
Kaede: The world as it is now gives us as much freedom to say puns as it does to not say them... And I'd like to protect that freedom!
Kaede: That's why I've decided—with the two of you being the threat that you are—to take you down! Because freedom matters!
Sick Stick: Rgh!
Uzuki: Sob... Kaede-saaaan!
Mio: I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you to make a choice like that for our sakes... Sniff...
Rin: What the... Is this supposed to be an emotionally charged scene?
Mio: Kaede-san... Sniff... I have so much respect for you!
Uzuki: I'll fight with you... Let's protect our freedoms together!
Rin: Erm...
Rin: All right, I'm not gonna kill the mood here! Count me in too, guys!
Kaede: Thank you, everyone.
Sick Stick: Tch... Don't expect us to go down without a fight!
Kaede?: ...!
The stick and fan tap into the full extent of their power, giving form to a mirror image of Kaede behind them.
Lyria: Huh? Another Kaede-san?
Fantastic Fan: During the duration for which we ceded control to Kaede, we incorporated her powers into our own.
Fantastic Fan: After all, we need a third party for our true potential to shine.
Fantastic Fan: Though Kaede is no longer on our side, the mirror image makes for a suitable proxy.
Lyria: Oh no...
Kaede: It's my fault that you now have my powers...
Kaede: That's why I'm going to stop you! Let's settle this once and for all!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Ending

Kaede wakes up from her nap when Uzuki, Rin, and Mio finish their shoot and enter the dressing room. She asks how the battle with the stick and fan went; Rin simply assumes she was having quite the wild dream. As the three get changed behind the curtains, Kaede cracks a smile, reminiscing on the many twists and turns in her dream.

Kaede: Zzz...
Uzuki, Rin, Mio: Nice work, everyone!
Uzuki: We got so much done in today's shoot! Phew, I'm tuckered out after all that moving around...
Rin: My jaw dropped seeing how you nailed that fight scene in one take, Uzuki. All that practice must've paid off.
Mio: I loved that part where Shiburin mowed down the enemies like they were nothing!
Uzuki: Your ambush sequence can't have been easy, but you did a perfect job, Mio-chan!
Rin: Huh? Kaede-san's napping?
Kaede: Zzz... Time to... settle...
Uzuki: You're right... She must've dozed off while waiting for us.
Mio: Kae-neesama, wake up! You'll catch a cold if you sleep here!
Kaede: Mng...
Kaede: Hm? Uzuki-chan, Rin-chan, Mio-chan...
Kaede: What happened after that battle? Were we able to stop the sinister scheme of the sick stick and fantastic fan?
Uzuki: Sick stick and fantastic fan? What?
Rin: What a deep sleep you must've been in to be dreaming, Kaede.
Kaede: Me? Dreaming?
Oh, that's right—I was waiting here for you all after my shoot finished.
Uzuki: Sorry for the wait! We'll be able to head out with you as soon as we're done changing!
Mio: It won't take too long. Just give us another minute!
Kaede: Haha, there's no rush. We'll be okay as long as we make it to the restaurant in time for our reservation.
The girls go behind the curtains to doff their costumes for more casual wear.
Kaede: Yawn...
Kaede: (Phew, I really went places in my nap...)
Kaede: Past, present, and future... It will be tense!
Kaede: (Haha, that might be the most fun I've ever had in a dream!)
A cheery smile blooms across Kaede's face.
The many things Kaede learned in this wondrous dream will surely serve her well in her days to come as an idol... or not.
The End

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 1

Uzuki: Hyaah!
Mio: You're not getting away! Eat this!
Rin: Feel my violet blade! Iolite Blue!
Lyria: Wow, that was amazing! You three took those monsters out in no time at all!
Rin: Oh, we've had enough practice by now. Monsters don't really faze me anymore.
Uzuki: I wish I could be more like you, Rin-chan! I still find myself flinching every time a monster shows up...
Mio: Same here. I'm just glad I'm brave enough to take out the critters on my own now!
Uzuki: Ehehe. You looked so cool while doing it too, Mio-chan!
Rin: We can keep chatting, but we should gather the herbs before any more monsters come.
Mio: Right! Let's make it a race to see who can gather the most! Whoever loses out is in charge of kitchen duty tonight!
Rin: A race? Well, I suppose that'll speed up the process.
Uzuki: I'll give it my best shot! Let's do this, Rin-chan!
Rin: Sure. I don't want to be stuck in the kitchen, so I'm going full bore!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 2

Kaede: I'd heard about it from the other girls, but to see for myself all the islands and ships floating in the sky is something else.
Vyrn: Yeah, they were pretty shook about it at first. But if you ask me, the idea of a world where islands aren't afloat is just weird.
Kaede: Is there no ground down below? I see nothing but an endless sea of clouds.
Vyrn: Oh, you'll definitely land somewhere if you drop down. But word is there's no coming back here from that.
Kaede: Suppose you want to try bungee jumping off an island...
Kaede: Just how long would the elastic cord have to be?
Kaede: How does bungee jumping even work in this world? Hm, I can't even begin to imagine...
Vyrn: Bun-G Jumping?
Vyrn: Er, I'm not sure I get it, but you might be the only person who's ever wondered about such a thing...

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 3

Laguna: I'm sorry you ended up helping to tidy my room.
Uzuki: I don't mind at all really! I've always wanted to see your curious collection of souvenirs, and this was the perfect opportunity!
Uzuki: Ah, what a cute figurine this is!
Laguna: I purchased that one on an island up north. The figurine is based on a species of bird native to that island, which makes a beautiful chirping sound.
Uzuki: That's really neat! Ooh, I love how the gentle colors on this handkerchief make it pop!
Laguna: That one was procured from an island renowned for its herbal dyes. Try smelling it; it's got a nice scent about it.
Uzuki: Sniff... Wow, it smells like nature!
Laguna: Haha, wait till you see what I have to show you next. It should be in a box back here...
Laguna: There we go. This handkerchief has been dipped in floral dye, giving it a very unique fragrance.
Uzuki: And it has really nice flowery embroidery to match! What else do you have?
Laguna: Hm...
Laguna: How about this?
Laguna: Here's a bunch more.
Uzuki: Wow, there's no end in sight! You could probably open up your own souvenir shop!
Uzuki: Hey, wait... Weren't we cleaning up your room earlier?
Uzuki: The way things are, it doesn't look like we've made much progress... More like we've regressed...
Laguna: Ah...
Laguna: Oh dear... This tends to happen when I go through my collection. I stop whatever I'm doing and end up reliving so many fond memories...
Uzuki: I know the feeling! When I'm organizing concert pamphlets, I sometimes stop and think back to all the times I've been on stage.
Uzuki: It's hard to get work done when you're reminiscing about the past. Ehehe...
Laguna: Heh... What I'd give to be more organized...

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 4

Rin: I brought the cargo you asked for. I'll leave it here.
Rosamia: (Thank you, you're a big help.)
How generous of you. Means I get to slack.
Rin: Erm... I'm going to assume that's just your inner voice speaking again.
Rosamia: Now that you've become so accustomed to how things work around here, do you still want to return to your own world one day?
Rin: Well, yeah. I'm worried about my parents, and I still need to walk my dog after all.
Rosamia: All the more reason for you to go back if you live with your family.
Rin: How about you, Rosamia?
Rosamia: I've lived apart from my family for quite a while now. And that's not going to change until I'm free of this mask.
Rin: Oh, I heard about how the empire took you away. It must have been tough.
Rosamia: I volunteered for military service actually. I couldn't stand the training—or rather, the experiments they conducted—and ran away. It's my own fault that I'm now cut off from my family.
Rin: ...
Rin: I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds when I say this, but...
Rin: I hope the day will come when you'll be able to go back and visit your childhood home.
Rosamia: Just the same, I pray that you'll find a way to return to your family one day. Stay safe until then.
Rin: Thanks.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 5

Mio: Raah!
Jessica: Haah!
Mio: Sharpshooters Mio and Jessica have landed every shot on the tree! This calls for a round of mutual applause!
Jessica: Shooting practice is so much more fun with you around, Mio-chan.
Mio: Ehehe, I love playing commentator when things start getting exciting. Glad to know you're enjoying yourself too!
Mio: Whew! Boy, am I starving... It's almost lunchtime. Why don't we get back to the ship?
Monster: Growl...
Jessica: Oh, no you don't!
Mio: Th-thanks for the save, Jessie... Wait, did you just bash the monster with your gun?
Jessica: Mm-hm! It still works as a decent weapon even without any bullets.
Mio: Neat. I never thought of using a gun that way.
Jessica: Well, your gun's a bit small to be using as a melee weapon...
Mio: Yeah, no argument there...
Mio: But, hey, my firearm shoots out pretty little stars. And nothing beats that!
Jessica: Yeah, it definitely suits you well, which is what really matters in the end!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 6

Kaede: Yawn... Good morning.
Rosetta: Good morning there, Kaede-chan.
Rosetta: Haha... Your bedhead, especially toward the back, is quite a sight.
Kaede: Really? Oh, how embarrassing...
Rosetta: As surprising as it is, it's nice to know you have a cute side too.
Kaede: Yeah, I get that a lot... People tell me my personality and looks are a mismatch.
Kaede: Your hair must be difficult to manage with how long it is. Yet you keep it so pretty at all times—I'm impressed.
Rosetta: Keeping up your appearance at all times is essential for a lady. You would be so much more charming if you heeded the same advice, Kaede-chan.
Kaede: As ideal as that'd be, I deal in practicality.
Rosetta: Sigh... Come over here. I'll fix your hair for you.
Kaede: Gee, thanks a ton.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 7

Uzuki: Piña, piña piñapiña, piña. Piñapiña, piñapiña pii!
Piña: Piña!
Mio: Your communication powers come in oh-so-handy, Shimamu! If I had even half your talent, my quest to become friends with anyone and everyone would be so much easier.
Mio: How exactly do you speak with the creatures anyway? Care to let me in on your secret?
Uzuki: Well, it's really not that different from a normal conversation. I just change all my words to "piña."
Uzuki: Piña, piña piñapiñapiña. Piña, piña!
(I'm Uzuki Shimamura. I'll do my best!)
Uzuki: Like that.
Mio: Oh... I'm not sure I understand how it works, but I'll give it a shot!
Mio: Piña, piñapiña! Piña piñaa!
(I'm Mio Honda! Nice to meetcha!)
Uzuki: Wow! You picked that up really fast, Mio-chan! I understood every word!
Mio: You think so? I guess if I keep it up, I'll be able to master the language in no time at all!
Mio: Piñañappi, piña, piñañapi, piñapiñappi, piña!
Piña: Piña!
Mio: Piñaña, piñaña, piñaña, piñaña, piiñaña, piñaañaa!
Uzuki: Great job, Mio-chan! You're fast friends with Piña-chan already!
Mio: Ehehe! I sort of winged it, but I had a blast either way!
Piña: Piña!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 8

Rin: And that's how we report completed assignments. You must be tired after such a long day, Kaede-san.
Kaede: Not at all. Thanks for showing me the ropes, Rin-senpai.
Rin: S-senpai?
Kaede: Oh, you're definitely my senior when it comes to skyfaring.
Rin: I suppose that's true...
Rin: Haha, it's like the roles are reversed. Back home, I was the one trying to follow your advice.
Kaede: It makes for a refreshing change of pace. I'm always open to learning new things after all.
Kaede: Hey, if we ever get back to our world, can you still play the part of my senpai sometimes?
Rin: What a weird thing to ask... I should be the one looking up to you, given how much older you are than me.
Kaede: Ahaha, I was only kidding.
Kaede: But never mind the age difference. I hope we'll continue to be good friends regardless of how things pan out from here.
Rin: Likewise, Kaede-san... For now, let's just focus on our assignment for tomorrow.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 9

Rin: Can you put that by the entrance? Yeah, that's a good spot.
Uzuki: Okeydoke... There. The shop feels so much more inviting now!
Rosetta: You're good with flowers, aren't you? Nice mix of colors as well.
Rin: I've helped set up an arrangement for a store opening before. Truth is, my home's a flower shop.
Rin: But this particular arrangement turned out well thanks to your help, Rosetta-san. Moreover, you made the roses bloom.
Rosetta: Haha... If it's roses, I'll be glad to lend a hand anytime.
Rin: It's almost opening time. Uzuki, I'll be back after a little tidying up. I hope you don't mind handling the first few customers until then.
Uzuki: Sure, I'll handle this with the brightest smile I can muster!
Uzuki: Hello, everyone! Today's the grand opening of our new cutesy latte art shop!
Uzuki: To celebrate, we'll be handing out exclusive merchandise! Please come by and take a look!
Rosetta: With a smile like that, it shouldn't take too long for the crowds to form.
Rin: All right then. I'll be back with Mio as soon as I'm done.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 10

Lamretta: How 'bout this one, Kaede-chan?
Kaede: Ooh, dried foods are the perfect complement to alcohol. That's another one for the shopping cart.
Mio: Guys, we're here for food to eat during mid-flight, not to stock up for a party.
Kaede: Haha, no worries. I'm keeping everyone's interests in mind as I pick and choose.
Mio: Sure you are. That must be why your standard for inclusion is whether the item goes well with alcohol...
Kaede: I imagine you don't understand the need to indulge as you're not of age yet, Mio-chan, but...
Kaede: Quality grub is a must to bring out the full flavor of alcohol.
Lamretta: Anything that complements a cold glass is guaranteed to be delicious. All my years of experience have led me to that one singular truth!
Kaede: I couldn't agree more. Any establishment that invests in a few bottles of the good stuff is bound to also serve savory cuisine.
Mio: Huh, I never thought of it that way! I guess grown-ups see food in a different light.
Lamretta: Ah! Kaede-chan, Kaede-chan, you're gonna love this one! Look!
Kaede: Ooh, this brand of wine and the dried food package earlier are a match made in heaven. We're definitely buying this one.
Mio: Hrm... It almost looks to me like they're prepping for some banquet, but it's probably just me...

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 11

Mio: This island has so much to do in the way of shopping; it was definitely worth coming to check out the marketplace.
Rosamia: (It's perfect for a nice stroll!)
What a farce it is to call this "shopping" when you're not even buying anything.
Mio: C'mon, Rosamin! You've got your thoughts jumbled up again!
Jessica: Um... Can we stop by that store next? They have a wide assortment of stationery I can use to write letters to my little brother...
Rin: Sure, looks like they deal in plenty of other merchandise too.
Mio: Whoa, get a load of this adorable handmade washi paper. And those notepads are right up Shimamu's alley!
Jessica: Their gift-wrapping paper is really nice too. Maybe I can use it to wrap that towel I was going to give to Ayer.
Rin: I love how the color changes when you stack two strips together. It might be useful for preparing bouquets.
Rosamia: It's the same color as Lyria's hair... It might be usable for my collages.
Mio: Oho... How interesting!
Jessica: Mio-chan, what is it?
Mio: I was just thinking about how we're each taking away something different from looking at the same thing. Our personalities really show, huh!
Jessica: That's an interesting way of putting it. We might be living together, but we all come from completely different backgrounds and sets of circumstances.
Rin: It reminds me of the production office back home. Everyone comes with their own quirks, but we're all striving toward the same goal.
Mio: All right then, on with the shopping! What a great bonding experience this is!

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 12

Kaede: Sierokarte, we've returned with the requested items.
Vyrn: We picked out some real nice stuff! Just check out the cart!
Sierokarte: Why, thank you. These fetch quests seem to be getting easier for you, Kaede-san.
Kaede: It's all thanks to everyone's help, of course. Right, Uzuki-senpai?
Uzuki: I hardly did a thing! You played such a big role that I'd hardly consider you my kohai anymore!
Sierokarte: Two idols now equals? Aye, dull may they never be.
Kaede: Mm-hm! I don't see us being in a pickle anymore as long as we continue to be dill-igent.
Vyrn: Whew, this is what happens when you put two punsters together...
Uzuki: Um... Pickle... Dill...
Vyrn: Hey, there's no need for you to get in on the pun game, Uzuki.
Uzuki: Ahaha, sorry. I don't have a funny bone in me, but er... I guess I do have a humerus...
The Three: Hm.

Nice.

Egh.
Uzuki: Eheh.

Cinderella Fantasy: To the Skies Once More - Day 13

Uzuki: Nice work today, everyone! This was one of the harder shoots we've had to do.
Rin: The director was really particular. I can't count the number of times I had to scream "Iolite Blue."
Mio: I might've been too gung-ho in the gunfight scenes, but it definitely made me feel like a bona fide sharpshooter.
Kaede: Thanks for staying late to do this. I brought you some juice from the studio staff.
Uzuki: Yay, thanks! Just what I needed!
Mio: By the way, Kaede-san, what kind of dream were you having earlier?
Kaede: Dream?
Mio: The first thing you said after waking up was "what happened with the battle?" and that got me wondering.
Kaede: Hm, how should I put it...
Kaede: I remember it feeling very piñapiña-esque, and there was talk of some demon king.
Rin: Haha. You know, that sounds a lot like a dream I might've had before.
Mio: Oh yeah? You have exciting dreams like that too, Shiburin? Piñapiña, huh?
Rin: Hey, there's no controlling what happens in my dreams.
Kaede: Anyhow, we should get moving if we don't want to be late for our next appointment.
Uzuki: Right. Just give me a minute to get changed!
