The Warmhearted Healer
When (Captain) and company go with Jasmine on one of her frequent trips to the forest, they learn that she's been documenting the medicinal properties of plants to help others. They decide to help her by delivering medicine and her instructions to various towns.
The crew notices that Jasmine goes out into the woods whenever the Grandcypher lands on a new island.
Whatever could she be doing? (Captain) and the others tag along to find out.
Jasmine: Tee-hee! It's so lovely to have some company, (Captain)!
Jasmine: Oh? You're happy about it too, Birdie? Tee-hee!
Lyria: Hee-hee... Walking through the forest together like this reminds me of the first time we met!
To help the ailing Vyrn, (Captain) and the crew paid a visit to an island where an herbalist was said to live.
Jasmine: Oh, dear me... What should I do, Birdie? This forest hasn't seen visitors in ages!
Lyria: Well, we heard rumors of an herbalist living in this forest. And we really need some medicine...
(Captain) and company meet a young woman in a forest on the island and realize that she's the famous herbalist, Jasmine.
They ask her to prepare medicine for Vyrn, but she laments that monsters are preventing her from making any.
Lyria: I think I understand! Taking care of those monsters should help the forest regain its power, right?
Jasmine: Right! If you can do something about them, then I'm sure I can revive the forest!
The crew fights off the monsters menacing the forest, and Jasmine makes the medicine for Vyrn.
Vyrn takes the medicine and makes a swift recovery, which demonstrates Jasmine's skills as an herbalist to the crew.
Lyria: Say, (Captain)! We'd sure rest easier if Jasmine were part of our crew, don't you think?
Jasmine: You all want me to... join you?
Thus Jasmine the herbalist joins the crew of the Grandcypher.
Vyrn: Seriously though... I'm sure glad you were there! I can't believe a little snack destroyed me like that...
Jasmine: I better not catch you eating anything off the ground again!
Vyrn: Yeah, my bad... What are you doing anyway, Jasmine?
Lyria: Yeah... You've been picking all kinds of plants for a while now.
Jasmine: I'm just trying to figure out what kinds of medicines I can make with the plants from this forest.
Jasmine: I think I've picked most of them now, so shall we take a little break?
The crew decides to relax at the foot of a large tree.
Jasmine takes some cakes as well as a pen and parchment from her bag.
Jasmine: These are acorn cakes! They're so easy on your stomach that even animals can eat them! Help yourselves!
Vyrn: Hmm... Acorn cakes, huh? Well, I'll try anything once...
Lyria: Om nom nom... Oh! These cakes are delicious!
Lyria: Huh? Aren't you going to eat, Jasmine?
Jasmine: I have something to do first... But have as much as you like.
Jasmine starts writing something on the parchment.
- Stare at her.
- But what about the cakes?
Choose: Stare at her.(Captain) peers over, interested in what Jasmine is writing.
When they notice (Captain)'s interest, Lyria and Vyrn also lean in.
Jasmine: ...
Jasmine: Um... Please stop staring at me... It's very embarrassing...
Lyria: Ha-ha... Sorry... We were just wondering what you were writing!
Choose: But what about the cakes?Jasmine: Oh? Are the cakes all gone already?
Jasmine: Yay! There's one left! Open wide, (Captain)! Here comes the airship!
Jasmine smiles as she brings the cake to (Captain)'s lips.
But the moment the captain's mouth opens...
Rabbit: Boing!
A little rabbit bounds up and snatches the cake from Jasmine's hand.
Jasmine: Oh, Bunny! You're so greedy!
Jasmine: Sorry, (Captain). I'll make you some more later.
Vyrn: Hey, didn't that rabbit seem kind of angry? It was almost like it didn't want you to feed (Captain) the cake.
Lyria: Ha-ha... No, it must have been your imagination... I'm sure...
Vyrn: Hmm... I guess it is a bit far-fetched. What are you writing anyway, Jasmine?
Continue 1Jasmine: I'm just writing down the effects of the plants I gathered and how to process them into different medicines.
Jasmine: I want to record it so that anyone can follow my directions.
Lyria: I see! Can I see one of your recipes?
Jasmine: Of course! I just finished this one, so here you go!
Lyria: Ah! You have such lovely handwriting. And these instructions are so detailed! Oh? But what's this?
Vyrn: Let's see... Hey! Isn't this a drawing of the flower growing right over there?
Vyrn finds the flower growing in the shade of a tree and goes to pick it.
Jasmine: Ah! Stop! Don't touch that flower with your bare hands!
As if in response to Jasmine's voice, a deer leaps from between the trees and butts Vyrn out of the way.
Vyrn: Oof! That hurt! What are you trying to pull, you dumb animal?
Lyria: Vyrn, it says here that flower is poisonous! It's dangerous even to touch it!
Vyrn: Wha? Poisonous? Are you seriously going to use something like that in a medicine, Jasmine?
Jasmine: Um... Well, the plant is certainly poisonous...
Jasmine: But if you wash and dry the leaves, you can remove the poison and make a great cold medicine.
Vyrn: Wow... Really?
Jasmine: With the right preparation, many poisonous plants can be made into effective medicines.
Vyrn: Wow... From poison to potion!
Jasmine: With the right herbal knowledge, you can make medicines with all kinds of effects!
Jasmine: And you can help so many people suffering from illnesses.
Jasmine: That's why I'm writing these—so that knowledge will be easier to share.
Vyrn: I see... So what do you do with the parchment once you've written it?
Jasmine: You mean like this one? Well, I'll make lots of copies of the recipe as well as samples of the medicine...
Jasmine: And then I'll go deliver them to doctors in towns on this island.
Jasmine: But if I were to hand them over directly, there'd be a huge fuss, and they'd start calling it a new miracle medicine or something...
Jasmine: So I recently started leaving my medicine in front of the doctors' houses with a note to avoid all of that.
Lyria: Ah... Well, I suppose the discovery of a new medicine would cause a lot of excitement.
Vyrn: But isn't that a bit of a waste? You could be famous for making those new medicines!
Jasmine: Maybe, but I don't really want to become famous, you know?
Jasmine: I just want to help as many people as possible. That's more than enough for me.
Lyria: Sniff...
Jasmine: Lyria? Are you all right? Oh, what should we do, Birdie? Lyria's crying!
Jasmine: Are you in pain? Shall I mix you some medicine?
Lyria: No, I'm fine. I just... got a bit emotional there. Jasmine, you're so nice.
Lyria: Actually, Jasmine! Is there anything we can do to help you with your work?
Jasmine: Um... Are you sure? Tee-hee... I suppose I can find something for you. Thank you.
The crew decides to help Jasmine by delivering the medicine and recipes to nearby towns.
Night falls before they know it.
Vyrn: Phew... This is the last town, right, Jasmine?
Voice: Wait! Jasmine?
Vyrn says Jasmine's name just a little too loudly, and a man's voice resounds from inside the last doctor's house.
While the crew tries to figure out what's going on, the door is flung open, and a man rushes out.
Doctor: Excuse me! Did I just hear that Jasmine is here? Please! Where is she?
Jasmine: Um... I'm Jasmine...
Doctor: You? Amazing! I wanted to meet you at least once... I have nothing but the deepest respect for what you're doing.
As the doctor sings Jasmine's praises, more and more people begin to gather.
Townsperson: Wow! So that girl's Jasmine? We need to prepare something nice for her!
Jasmine: Huh? Wait! Eek... What should I do, Bunny?
Lyria: Um... Do you all know Jasmine from somewhere?
Doctor: Of course! She's the person who delivers all those new medicines and instructions!
Doctor: Ha-ha! There's not a doctor who doesn't know Jasmine! I can't say how many lives have been saved thanks to her medicines!
Vyrn: What's going on, Jasmine? How do they know your name?
Jasmine: I'm not sure... Squirrel, do you understand any of this?
Lyria: Ah!
Lyria: Jasmine! Your name was written on the sheets of parchment!
Jasmine: Of course! It'd be rude not to sign my name on the notes...
Jasmine: Oh, now I see. They knew who was making the medicine because my name was on the instructions.
Jasmine: What should I do, Bunny? This is so embarrassing...
Lyria: Hee-hee... You're so adorable when you're embarrassed, Jasmine!
Jasmine: Nnh...
Jasmine picks up the rabbit to hide her blushing face.
The crew has a wonderful evening as the townspeople put on a big feast to celebrate everything Jasmine has done for them.
A Spoon Full of Sugar
The crew meets a sick child who refuses the bitter-tasting magical cure available in his village. Jasmine offers to make a sweet medicine for him instead, and the crew sets out to find the ingredients she needs.
Jasmine and the crew have been out collecting medicinal plants and decide to take a break.
They spot a village that looks like a good place to rest, but when they arrive they hear a commotion.
Child: No! I won't! Cough...
Villager 1: But you must! Please drink it!
Jasmine: What's the matter?
The crew senses that something is wrong and asks the villagers what happened.
The villagers explain that the child is gravely ill, so they've been trying to cure him with magic.
Villager 2: We have magic that should heal wounds and cure sicknesses.
Villager 2: But his illness isn't responding to the treatment. To make matters worse, the magic ritual involves drinking a very bitter solution.
Villager 2: And he refuses to do it.
Vyrn: I see... That's awful...
Jasmine: Um... Would it be all right if I took a look at him?
Villager 1: What? I'm sorry, but who are you again?
Vyrn: Heh-heh! Jasmine is an herbalist!
Villager 2: An herbalist? That's someone who makes medicine, right?
Jasmine: Yes! I think I might be able to make a medicine that can cure him!
Jasmine examines the boy as the villagers watch.
Jasmine: This doesn't look good. He's burning up with fever, Birdie.
Jasmine: Yes, you're right. I need to start making the medicine right away.
Jasmine tells the villagers that since the child can't be cured with their magic, she'll need to make medicine.
Villager 3: But we've always used magic to cure our wounds and sicknesses. We can't just start using medicine now...
Villager 1: But who knows what will become of him if we don't do something...
Jasmine: Bunny, what do we do? This poor child's time is running out!
Jasmine: You're right! We need to gather the ingredients to make the medicine right away!
Child: Miss? Are you going to make some medicine for me? I don't want anything bitter...
Jasmine smiles reassuringly at the ailing boy.
Jasmine: Leave everything to me. I'm going to make a yummy medicine that'll make you feel all better!
Jasmine: Can you help me find the ingredients for the medicine, (Captain)?
Lyria: We'll help too!
Vyrn: All right! We better hurry, (Captain)!
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Scene 2
To find the special sap Jasmine needs, (Captain) and company keep an eye out for a tree attracting lots of insects. Vyrn spots such a tree, but there are monsters there as well. The crew must fight them off to get the sap.
Vyrn: So what do we need to make this medicine?
Jasmine: To make a sweet medicine that actually works on the boy's illness, we'll need a special kind of tree sap.
Jasmine: We can get it from a large tree that grows somewhere in this forest.
Lyria: Hmm... A large tree... But there are so many around here...
Jasmine: Hmm? Yes, you're right, Squirrel.
Jasmine: Since the tree's sap is so sweet, it attracts lots of insects.
Vyrn: Insects, huh? Hey, wait a minute...
The sight of a massive tree nearby leaves Vyrn speechless.
Vyrn: Um... Is that it?
The crew follows the line of Vyrn's gaze and finds a tree covered in insects.
Lyria: Eek! Look at all of them!
Jasmine: And it looks like some monsters have gathered around the tree as well.
Jasmine: This is kind of scary...
No, of course. You're right, Birdie. We have to think of that poor boy!
Jasmine: All right, (Captain)! Let's get rid of these things!
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Scene 3
Jasmine makes the medicine and returns with (Captain) and the others to the village. The villagers at first refuse the medicine, but they change their tune once Jasmine demonstrates how safe it is. The cure is effective, and Jasmine starts sharing her knowledge of medicine with the thankful townspeople.
The crew successfully drives the monsters and insects away, and Jasmine collects the tree sap.
She then begins mixing the sap with the plants she's gathered to make the medicine.
Jasmine: That should do it! And this medicine's extremely sweet!
Vyrn: I knew you could do it, Jasmine! Now let's hurry back to the village!
The crew returns to the village with the medicine.
But the villagers are waiting for them and refuse to let them enter.
Villager 3: I'm sorry, but we can't let you in.
Lyria: But why? We made the medicine!
Villager 2: Be that as it may, it's just not our way to use medicine.
Villager 3: And we can't just take something made by a complete stranger. We have no idea what could be in it!
Villager 2: Yes, that's true. But maybe if you could tell us what's in it...
Jasmine: All right.
Jasmine takes out sheets of parchment and carefully explains what the medicine is made of.
Villager 2: My word... This is really detailed, and it's easy to understand too.
Villager 3: Hold on! There's also something written here about poisonous plants! Are they in the medicine too?
Villager 2: What? Poison? Were you planning on poisoning that poor child?
Jasmine: Of course not! Listen...
Villager 3: No, you listen! You didn't make medicine at all! This is poison, isn't it?
The infuriated villagers start yelling at Jasmine.
The crew tries desperately to calm them down, but they refuse to listen.
Jasmine: Oh, what do we do? This is awful! We don't have time for this...
Jasmine: Hmm... That's a good idea, Bunny. I'll drink the medicine myself!
With that, Jasmine gulps down the medicine in front of everyone.
A hush falls over the villagers.
Villager 2: Are you all right? But isn't that poison?
Jasmine: I'm just fine! And it's really sweet!
Jasmine: It's true that I used some poisonous plants in the ingredients, but this medicine is perfectly safe. I prepared it very carefully.
Jasmine: Taking medicine may be more inconvenient than using magic...
Jasmine: Not just anyone can use the kind of advanced spells that can cure any type of injury or sickness, right?
Jasmine: But as long as people understand medicine, anyone can use it to save lives.
Villager 2: Hmm... I understand now.
Vyrn: Okay, then why don't you get out of our way? We need to get this medicine to that kid fast!
Villager 3: Yes, of course! Right this way!
Jasmine: Oh no!
Jasmine: The medicine! I drank all of it!
Vyrn: You did what? But that means—
Jasmine: It'll be okay! I'll make some more!
Her face gradually flushing with embarrassment, Jasmine hurries to make a new batch of medicine.
When it's all ready, Jasmine gives it to the child.
As soon as he drinks it, the color returns to his cheeks, and he starts feeling better.
Villager 1: Thank goodness!
Child: Thank you, miss!
Jasmine: You're very welcome! Everyone, take these!
With a smile on her face, Jasmine gives the villagers sheets of parchment with the instructions for preparing the medicine.
Jasmine: If you follow these instructions, you can make more medicine whenever you need to!
Jasmine: So if anyone else catches the same thing, you'll know just what to do!
Villager 2: Listen, Jasmine... I want to apologize for our behavior earlier. Thank you so much for all of your help.
Villager 3: And if it's not too much trouble, would you be willing to teach us more about medicine and how to make it?
Jasmine: I'd be glad to! And I'll even leave some other medicines here for you.
Jasmine provides a detailed and patient explanation to the villagers of how to make and use various medicines.
The crew cannot help but be moved as they watch the gently smiling Jasmine pass on her knowledge.
Healer of the Horned
During a battle, Jasmine is threatened with a knife and Vanzza, thinking it may be poisoned, loses control. When Jasmine learns Vanzza's girlfriend is in a poison-induced coma, she asks for information on the poison and begins research to create an antidote.
Vanzza: Haaah!
Thief: Ugh!
Vanzza: Humph. Is that the last of them?
Vyrn: Yeah, looks that way. Sorry to ask for your help again, Vanzza!
Vanzza: I'm looking for information on that man. This just happens to overlap with my objective.
After a tip-off about an arrest bounty, the crew has raided the lair of a group of thieves who have been menacing a certain town.
Caught by surprise, the thieves are soon bound hand and foot, and the bounty seems to be all but in hand...
Vyrn: Whew... Sorry, Vanzza. We thought these guys might be connected to the rival you were searching for, but looks like they're not...
Vanzza: Humph... as I keep telling you, I can search by myself. You guys don't have to help me.
Jasmine: Hee hee... All right! I've finished treating the thieves' wounds!
Vyrn: Hey... There's no need to look after those guys. Just leave 'em...
Jasmine: But... When I see someone hurt, I can't withhold the medicine they need...
Vanzza: ...
The crew bring the bound thieves with them along the mountain trail. Suddenly, one of the thieves smiles creepily.
Thief: Geh heh heh...
The thief has managed to wriggle free of his bonds. He springs toward Jasmine.
Thief: Hya ha! I'm taking you down with me, you naive fool!
Jasmine: Huh?
Vanzza: Jasmine! Watch out!
The thief pulls out a concealed dagger and presses the blade to Jasmine's throat.
Vanzza: ...!
Seeing this, something snaps in Vanzza's head.
Vanzza: Rrrraaaaahhhh!
Thief: Eek!
With a cry like a wild beast, Vanzza rushes the thief, knocking him down with a single blow of his tonfa.
Vanzza: Huff... Huff... It's just a dagger. Looks like... the blade wasn't poisoned.
Jasmine: Thank you, Vanzza.
Vanzza: ...
After they hand the thieves over to government officials, a gloomy Vanzza holes up in his room.
Jasmine: Um, why do you think Vanzza shut himself up like that? He's been acting strange since I was attacked...
Vyrn: Something like that happened before. (Captain) was struck by a poison dart and collapsed...
Vyrn: Maybe today reminded Vanzza of that and bummed him out.
Vyrn: It seems like things were kinda complicated for him before he met us too. He must have a lot on his mind.
Jasmine: Hmm... Poison, you say? Was it a strong poison?
Vyrn: It sure was. (Captain) went down seconds after getting hit. And the antidote was really hard to come by.
Jasmine: That's awful! Vyrn, please tell me more about that poison!
Vyrn: Huh? What for?
Jasmine: Well, I was thinking I'd make an antidote myself. As an herbalist, I can't hear a story like that and just do nothing!
Vyrn: Hey, wait a sec... You mean you can do that even without having the actual poison on hand?
Jasmine: Not exactly... But if you tell me how the poison and antidote were used, I should be able to narrow down the type.
Jasmine: Then, if anyone is affected by that poison again, I can make a prototype antidote which would slow its effects and give us more time to save them.
Vyrn: Hmm... You wanna know how the poison worked, huh? It all happened so fast, it's kinda hard to remember...
Vyrn: Erm... I think it was a poison dart, covered in the stuff...
Jasmine: I see... And which part of the body did the dart strike?
Vyrn: Um, I think it was around the neck... but I can't say exactly...
Pressed by Jasmine, Vyrn tries hard to recall the incident.
As if on cue, Vanzza appears.
Vanzza: It was the back of the neck... near the spine...
Jasmine: Huh? Vanzza? You know how the poison was used?
Vanzza: I've seen it... Several times.
Vyrn: That's right... Your girlfriend was poisoned the same way, wasn't she...
Jasmine: My, that's terrible... As an herbalist, I'll do everything in my power to help!
Vanzza: Humph... Leave it. You shouldn't make that kind of promise...
But...
Vanzza: Listen, this antidote... can you make it? The only person who currently has it is Acorazada, the one I'm searching for...
Jasmine: Yes. I'm sure I can make it. Identifying the right ingredients is an herbalist's job.
Jasmine: Um, Vanzza... This may be painful for you to recall, but... please tell me everything you know!
Jasmine: Is this poison never delivered in food?
Vanzza: I don't think so... (Captain) and Carolla were both poisoned using a needle.
Jasmine: Hmm, I see... In other words, it won't take effect if administered orally...
Vanzza: Right. I can confirm that because I was fine after I tried to suck the poison out of the wound.
Vanzza listens carefully to Jasmine's questions, earnestly telling her everything he can remember.
Commanding her medicinal knowledge, Jasmine works out several potential candidates for the poison mixture, writing them down.
Jasmine: Hmm... I can't guarantee that the poison used on Carolla is among these...
Jasmine: But even without Acorazada's antidote, with some time, I promise I'll save Carolla!
Vanzza: ...
Vanzza struggles to remain silent, restraining himself from voicing his usual hatred of promises.
The possibility of an antidote from an unforeseen source appears to be having a powerful effect on him.
Vanzza: Hey... Jasmine. Why? Why go this far?
Jasmine: I just want to save as many people as possible from the suffering caused by illness and poison.
Jasmine: That's... That's all.
Vanzza: Ngh...
Vanzza: Geez, you're going to make me cry!
Jasmine: Eep! Oh no! Vanzza, are you hurt somewhere?
Vanzza: Ha ha... No. I'm fine. Really.
Vanzza: Thanks, Jasmine. I must repay you sometime for this.
Vanzza: Hmm... I know. I'll take you to this cake shop Carolla and I used to go to all the time.
Vanzza: Heh heh... Carolla said the cakes were a little too sweet, actually. It's an important place to the two of us, that shop...
Jasmine: You don't have to... I mean, I haven't done anything for you yet.
Jasmine: Hehe... But why not? If we ever go to that cake shop, I want some acorn cake!
Vanzza: Acorn cake? I've never seen that before...
Vanzza: Huh... Guess I'll try and order it next time, though. Might be fun to see what I get.
Jasmine: Hee hee! I'm looking forward to it. In the meantime, I'll get working on this antidote, Vanzza!
And so Jasmine begins her research in order to save Vanzza's girlfriend, Carolla.
Her optimistic promise shines a ray of hope into Vanzza's despair.
Battle for Jasmine
Pavidus helps Jasmine gather herbs at the urging of his animal companions, who are infatuated with her. His animal friends and Jasmine's soon begin to fight over her. When the squabble turns violent, Pavidus intervenes, and Jasmine loses her temper. She drags Pavidus back to the Grandcypher, leaving the chastened animals to catch up.
One day, Jasmine visits the forest in her spare time to collect herbs.
For some reason, the large and timid Pavidus is by her side.
Pavidus: Hey Jasmine, do you think we can use these herbs too?
Jasmine: Yes, they're perfect! Thank you so much for your help!
Pavidus: Ahaha, don't mention it...
Pavidus gives an embarrassed smile as he looks down at the bird observing Jasmine.
Bird: Kaww... (Jasmine, you're looking lovely as ever...)
It turns out that helping Jasmine was not Pavidus's idea.
His animal companions wanted to observe Jasmine up close and made Pavidus come along in order to do so.
To put it simply, Pavidus's friends are infatuated with her.
Birdie: Chirp! (She's so radiant, I can hardly make her out! A goddess walking among us!)
As Pavidus's friends remain entranced, Jasmine's animal companions join them.
Hare: (Heheh, isn't our princess just splendid?)
Birdie: Chirp? (Princess? Are you talking about Jasmine?)
Bird: Kaww! (Why not? She's cute enough that the glass slipper fits, if you ask me!)
Hare: (There's more to it than that! Our princess is kind and gentle!)
Birdie: Chiiirp! (Yeah, you're absolutely right. I wonder if she'd be a good match!)
Deer: ...? (Hm? A match for what?)
Birdie: Chirp chirp! (A match for me! As in, a companion who'll preen my feathers every day.)
The squawking birdie begins to sense the anger of Jasmine's animals.
Birdie: Chirp... (Wh... What's the problem?)
Hare: ...! (How dare you even think of taking away our princess!)
Hare: ...! (Know your place, dodo!)
Birdie: Chirp! (Watch your mouth, Hoppy!)
Bird: Skrawk! (Simmer down, you two! Jasmine belongs to no one!)
Bird: Skraaaaawk! (Hanging around her doesn't make her your property, y'know!)
The animals' squabble continues to escalate, with much fluffing of feathers and lowering of antlers.
Pavidus: Birdie, please calm down. Fighting solves nothing...
Birdie: Chirrrp! (Shut it!)
Pavidus: Yeep!
The frightened Pavidus looks to Jasmine for help.
Jasmine: Hahaha... It looks like everyone's having so much fun.
Pavidus: Huh?
Pavidus: Can you understand the conversation they're having?
Jasmine: But of course! They're getting heated up over their favorite acorn recipes!
Pavidus: Umm... (Ah... She can't understand what they're saying...)
Pavidus: (But I can't possibly tell her that they're fighting over her.)
Pavidus: Ehehe... Yeah, they must really love acorns...
Bird: Kakaw! (What are you babbling about, Pavi! We're not talking about acorns!)
Pavidus: Aagh! I-I'm so sorry. I know you're not, but...
Bird: Kaww... (Anyhow, Jasmine belongs to no one!)
Bird: Squaawwk! (At least not until I confess my love for her!)
Hare: ...! (What!)
With a bouquet of herbs in his beak, the bird runs toward Jasmine, but his way is barred by the deer.
Deer: ... (I can't let that happen. You'll have to get past me first.)
The deer lowers its antlers menacingly at the bird.
Boar: Snort... (Yo, did you just point those antlers at my buddy here?)
Boar: Snort! (You mess with him, you mess with me!)
The boar moves protectively in front of the bird and paws at the ground, getting ready to charge.
Deer: ...! (Oho... Looking to ram me, eh? Well, that's a deer's specialty too!)
Pavidus: Stop it! Please stop it, everyone!
Pavidus's pleas fall on deaf ears. The boar and the deer charge toward each other.
Pavidus flings himself between them.
Pavidus: Oof!
Boar: Snort! (Pavi!)
Deer: ... (Oh no, what have I done? Pavidus...)
Pavidus: Nghh, why... must we fight? We all like her.
Pavidus: Fighting is never the answer. If we share the same passion, that's all the more reason to get along.
Birdie: Kaww... (Pavi...)
Hare: ... (Pavidus is right. Forgive me.)
Bird: Kaw... (Pavidus has a point. I'm sorry, you guys.)
As the animals begin to reconcile, an angry Jasmine comes over.
Jasmine: Cut that out right now! Can't you all discuss the best acorn recipes in peace?
Jasmine: I can't believe you hurt Pavidus over this! Shame on you!
Deer: ... (We're so sorry, Princess. And about the acorns...)
Jasmine: Are you all right, Pavidus? I'll treat your wounds right away!
Jasmine: I'm so disappointed in all of you! You should know I hate violence more than anything else!
Hare: ! (No, please don't say that!)
Jasmine: Humph. And to think I baked acorn cookies for you...
Jasmine: I guess Pavidus and I will have to eat them all ourselves!
Birdie: Chiiirrrp! (Nooo, please!)
Jasmine: Come on, Pavidus! Let's get back to the Grandcypher!
Pavidus: Er... Okay... (I'm sorry, everyone. Please don't hold it against me.)
Pavidus follows the disgruntled Jasmine toward the ship.
Deer: ...! (Wait, Princess!)
Bird: Kaww... (This isn't over yet, Pavi! Just you wait!)
The animals, feeling vengeful yet guilty, desperately chase after Pavidus and Jasmine.
