Gifted with the power of flight, a magic bow that shoots infinite arrows, and a million-rupie face, Metera only lacks purpose. Bored of her family's calling as shrine guardians, she abandoned the woods of her homeland and now wanders the Sky Realm as the wind blows.

Character Quotes

Opponent SideDialogue is based on which side the character is facing. In a mirror match the following order goes from P2 to P1. Dialogue
Mirror match P2 "Whoa! Do my eyes deceive me? Who's this total knockout supposed to be?"
P1 "This much beauty in one place would rip the world in two. You're gonna have to go, sweetie."
Gran P2 Metera: "Hm? It isn't kind to make a lady wait. So, how are you gonna make it up to me?"
Gran: "Great, just what we needed. A flying seductress."
Lyria: "Stay focused, Gran!"
Vyrn: "Eyes on the prize!"
P1 Vyrn: "Next up is Miss Shameless, huh? She's no slouch!"
Lyria: "Why, Metera?"
Gran: "This won't be easy... But I'll do my best!"
Metera: "Will you now? How adorable. I guess I'll have to pull out all the stops too."
Djeeta P2 Metera: "Hm? What's up, Djeeta? If you're bored we can go hit on a few guys."
Djeeta: "Hit on guys? So you want me to start fistfights in the streets?"
Vyrn: "That's Djeeta for ya!"
Lyria: "You're not gonna do it, right?"
Djeeta: "Hehe. No promises!"
P1 Vyrn: "What? Are we really fighting Ms. Shameless?"
Lyria: "Just don't lose focus."
Djeeta: "Mm... I hear you, Lyria. But still, it's hard to stay calm around her."
Metera: "Oh that's adorable, acting like you're new to this. Well then, you want me to show you a thing or two?"
Katalina P2 Metera: "Hm? So you wanna see what I've got? How cute. You don't even use a bow, Katalina."
Katalina: "There's much to be learned from master warriors, no matter the weapon they use. And you wield your own weapon like the best of them."
P1 Katalina: "You attack from the skies? Such prowess with both magic and bowmanship. Your skills are commendable. Let's test them out."
Metera: "Gosh, you're so uptight. Let's just have some fun, okay?"
Charlotta P2 Metera: "Oh? My target is smaller than I expected. Perhaps size isn't everything after all."
Charlotta: "No matter the size... It only takes a single blow to decide the battle!"
P1 Charlotta: "Um, this is... I wanted to match your height while you flew! Then I could face you head on!"
Metera: "What an adorable excuse! I could just pinch those cheeks."
Lancelot P2 Metera: "Huh... So you're supposed to be fast? Okay."
Lancelot: "Rain down all the arrows you want. I'll dodge every one."
P1 Lancelot: "Distance will determine who has the upper hand... Proper judgment will prove more crucial here than on any other battlefield!"
Metera: "If it isn't Sir Honor Roll, stiff as always. Maybe I can help you with that."
Percival P2 Metera: "Oh? You're packing a little too much heat for my taste."
Percival: "Knowledge is strength. You were unwise to speak of your weakness... 'Prodigy.'"
P1 Percival: "No matter how able the warrior... Steel can't strike air... or arrows fire. Come!"
Metera: "Well, aren't you bursting with pride? I'm not exactly innocent myself though."
Ladiva P2 Metera: "Hee hee. All that talk of love... Maybe you could give me a few pointers, hmm? How 'bout it?"
Ladiva: "Of course! I mean, the secrets of love are meant to be shared! And lucky you. I'm holding my master class today!"
P1 Ladiva: "Your moves are simply stunning, Metera! Makes a girl want to dial up the ol' charm herself! But, darling, charm alone won't win you the fight!"
Metera: "I put on a hell of a show myself, you know. Maybe I'll give the duelist thing a shot if I'm ever in the mood."
Lowain P2 Metera: "Ooh... Taking on three of you at the same time?"
Tomoi: "Hrm?"
Elsam: "Whoa."
Lowain: "Oooh."
Lowain: "Sammy, Tommy, you two find a place to hole up!"
Elsam: "What if she drop kicks us when our backs are turned?"
Tomoi: "Yes, please. Step on me!"
Lowain: "Argh! I said I got this! Scram already!"
P1 Tomoi: "Sup!"
Elsam: "Wassup!"
Lowain: "Swanky hair, Metera. Be a shame if somethin' happened to it. Like, if you punched us too hard and it got messed up. So go easy on us, kay?"
Metera: "Maaaybe... if you'll make me more of those sweets from last time."
Ferry P2 Metera: "Hey, Ferry. Can I try petting them? I heard that ghosts are supposed to feel pleasantly cool to the touch. Well?"
Ferry: "Go right ahead. They won't mind... As long as you play with them first."
P1 Ferry: "Metera has a lot to teach us. Give her your full attention, everyone."
Metera: "Aww, it's so sweet to see them warming up to me, but you know... I'm not one to keep pets around for too long."
Zeta P2 Metera: "Oh. Zeta, you're a serious cutie. And tough to boot."
Zeta: "Thanks, but you shine on a different level, Metera. Care to show me how you do it?"
P1 Zeta: "I wish I were a genius like you. How 'bout a few pointers? Ready when you are!"
Metera: "Uh-oh. If you step up your girl game, Zeta, you might just knock me off my throne."
Vaseraga P2 Metera: "Oh. Say, big guy... Care to show me what you're hiding underneath that helmet? You wouldn't happen to be a total hottie... Would you?"
Vaseraga: "I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you... This helmet comes off for no one."
P1 Vaseraga: "I've heard a lot about you and those magic arrows. I wouldn't mind testing that reputation of yours."
Metera: "You look like you've got some stamina. Let's see if I can make you sweat."
Narmaya P2 Metera: "Hmm? Aw, fell asleep while meditating? That's just too cute."
Narmaya: "She caught me... Ngh. How embarrassing!"
P1 Narmaya: "To a mind that is free, the universe keeps no secrets."
Metera: "Are you trying to lecture me or something? So uptight—what if I showed you how to loosen up a bit?"
Soriz P2 Metera: "Hm? Mm. Oh, well, look at you, Soriz. Better work that body if you want a piece of this."
Soriz: "Mm-hmm... Never did mind a pretty lady who likes to play hard to get. Sets my heart on fire!"
P1 Soriz: "Hooo! How 'bout a little victory celebration at the pub after this? 'Course drinks are on me."
Metera: "Well, only if you win, right? I'll take you up on that offer, so why don't you come and catch me—If you can."
Zooey P2 Metera: "Hmm... You might look cute and innocent, but I can tell you're a woman with experience... Au naturel? Or just an act? Which is it?"
Zooey: "As a creation of the voices across the sky, my very existence is unnatural. What do you mean by 'an act'? Did you mean to say 'artificial' instead? Explain yourself!"
P1 Zooey: "There's so much to learn from someone with your experience. Especially your unrestrained fighting style. I'll follow your lead!"
Metera: "No need to follow anyone's lead if you stay true to your own style. I'm gonna do my thing, so try your best to keep up with me, sweetie."
Cagliostro P2 Metera: "Hm? I wonder what kind of person you were in your youth? I bet you were quite the charmer. Mmm."
Cagliostro: "Umm... Cagliostro's always been Cagliostro. Grrr... And what do you mean 'were' the charmer?! I'm charming as hell!"
P1 Cagliostro: "Looks like you've got a handle on some advanced techniques. Guess I'm dealing with a fellow genius."
Metera: "You little kiss-up. No one blasts away the competition quite like you. Meh, but feel free to keep singing my praises."
Yuel P2 Metera: "Ooh... You know, I don't think I've ever seen an Erune with a style quite like yours, girl. And can I just say, major ear envy. Hehe."
Yuel: "Hehe! Ya know, I always knew you had some of the best taste! And now, you'll get to see a lot more than my fashion sense on display!"
P1 Yuel: "Wait, was that— Hmm... I thought I smelled a big ol' payoff, but... Whatever. Guess it'll have to wait for later!"
Metera: "I was just in the mood for some retail therapy. You wouldn't mind if I blasted this one, right?"
Anre P2 Metera: "Hmm... You got that nice old dude vibe about you. But it doesn't take a genius to see you're hiding massive potential. Hehe."
Anre: "Come now. You're being far too generous with this old man. Flattery is certainly nice, but one must be sincere."
P1 Anre: "A bewitching archer? Who commands the skies? Intriguing... You certainly have the makings of an Eternal."
Metera: "Might be kinda nice being known as the sky's strongest bow-woman. Wanna scout me?"
Eustace P2 Metera: "Hi there. Mm, that face is a dream. But you got anything else more electrifying? Hehe."
Eustace: "How does a quick shoot-out sound to you? They say you're a genius... Prove it."
P1 Eustace: "A magic bow and aerobatics... This match should be worth my time."
Metera: "Didn't know they made 'em like you anymore: tall, dark, and handsome. Oh and uh, bet your desperate face is a sight to see."
Seox P2 Metera: "Hm? Look at your little mask. Do you wanna be a superhero? Cutie-pie. Hehe."
Seox: "Have you no respect? Hold your insults."
P1 Seox: "A magic bow? She doesn't seem as deadly as Tweyen, but still... I'll show no mercy!"
Metera: "What's with the mask? It's like you're just begging me to take a peek."
Vira P2 Metera: "Vira, you really aren't interested in all these hotties? You'd be so popular with the boys."
Vira: "Hotties? How could anyone compete with Katalina's perfection? She deserves all the attention I can muster!"
P1 Vira: "Do be careful what clothing you recommend for Katalina. Modesty is a virtue. Am I clear?"
Metera: "Aww, did I make you jealous? That's precious. Maybe I should take you shopping instead."
Anila P2 Metera: "Hm? I can't get over it—all you divine generals are so cute, I bet you drive the boys crazy. Right?"
Anila: "Perhaps, but first... let's do something about those kleshas!"
P1 Anila: "I didn't even hear your footsteps, with you floating in the air like that! What a close call!"
Metera: "I thought about pouncing while you were asleep, but I'm not a big fan of an early finish."
Siegfried P2 Metera: "Mm... Drop-dead gorgeous and a gentleman. Not to mention good at his job. Might be kind of aged, but honey, what a prime hunk of meat. Hehe."
Siegfried: "Hm... Is this mere flattery? I've always found myself plain and a bit obtuse but... we're our own worst critics."
P1 Siegfried: "Infinite arrows raining down from the sky. Devastating, but if I could dictate the rhythm... The battle's mine."
Metera: "What's that? You planning to lead this dance? Let's see if you've got the moves, mister."
Grimnir P2 Metera: "Mm... I'll bet it feels amazing riding on your winds... So? How about it babe–take me up high? Hehe."
Grimnir: "Think my gale not an ass, but a proud stallion, discerning of riders. It bears... the Singularity alone. Hahaha!"
P1 Grimnir: "What use are a thousand arrows, for they fly on borrowed wings? At my command... They'll drop, like shot birds."
Metera: "Lemme tell you something, cutie. If there's one thing I'm an expert in, it's how to score."
Nier P2 Metera: "Hmph. All right, less moping, more flirting. We're not stopping 'til we get you hooked up. Kay?"
Nier: "Don't even bother... I can't be like you. Even if I find someone... They'll just betray me."
P1 Nier: "You've got looks and skill... And popularity... Respect... Everything I lack..."
Metera: "Try having a little more self-confidence. You've totally got it, girl—so flaunt it."
Beelzebub P2 Metera: "Tee hee. So let me guess... You're supposed to be the villain, then?"
Beelzebub: "Villain? How quaint. Your beliefs matter not. All shall bend to my will."
P1 Beelzebub: "Hunh... Yet another insect. How fun."
Metera: "You're quite the looker. Not my type though, sorry."
Belial P2 Metera: "Mm... Every girl likes a bad boy, but with a heart of gold, you know? When you're rotten to your core... Bleh. Hm?"
Belial: "Ouch. I think that's kind of harsh. Not quite. But a heart of gold? Are you for real? I guess you're more naïve than you look. Hahaha..."
P1 Belial: "Aww... What a shame. You have perfect features but, uh... you aren't twisted enough on the inside."
Metera: "And yet there's not a single feature on you that's perfect. Oh well. Guess it's time to take out the trash."
Avatar Belial P2 Metera: "Mm... Every girl likes a bad boy, but with a heart of gold, you know? When you're rotten to your core... Bleh. Hm?"
Avatar Belial: "Oh don't be so sure. I'll wager that once you've had even a taste of a villain like me... You'll want nothing else."
P1 Avatar Belial: "You're a gilded girl. Perfect on the outside, but completely worthless within."
Metera: "And yet there's not a single feature on you that's perfect. Oh well. Guess it's time to take out the trash."
Lucilius P2 Metera: "Hm... Take a million-rupie face, slap it onto a sorry screwup and you know what you end up with? Trash."
Lucilius: "Enough drivel. Perish with the rest."
P1 Lucilius: "If this half-wit's a prodigy... Then I suppose genius crops up like weeds."
Metera: "Oh, we're not as common as men who think a handsome face gives them the right to talk out their other end."
2B P2 Metera: "Hmm. It seems like you've got a lot hiding under that shell. Something on your mind? I'm here if you wanna talk. Well?"
Pod 042: "Leaving such a dangerous foe intact would be unwise."
2B: "Code Name: Peerless Shot. Not only can she fly, she's a master of the arcane bow. Initiating combat mode."
P1 Pod 042: "Activating short range attack gear. Physical attacks recommended."
2B: "Understood."
Metera: "How's a girl supposed to mess up such a cute, doll-like face? You'd better have some killer moves so I don't feel bad."
Vane P2 Metera: "Hm... You strike me as passionate but not suffocating. Yeah, I'd take you over the Lord of Flames anytime, anywhere."
Vane: "You saying me and Percy are alike? 'Cause that'd be a first. But no tangents. Phew! Time to train!"
P1 Vane: "I hate to say this, Metera, but you are not a good influence on the Chickadees. Stay away!"
Metera: "Good dog. Keeping your chicks away from the scary vixen, right?"
Opponent Side"Ally" refers to P1 side and "Foe" refers to P2 side. Dialogue
Generic Foe "I am really freakin' pissed right now... And you look like some stress relief."
Ally "Missing some memories? Let's make some new ones."
Opponent Dialogue
Generic "Come again once you learn some technique."
"Was I just too captivating?"
"I've had better."
Opponent Dialogue
Generic "Aw... your poor little face."
"Come play with me again, okay?"
"Hmm... You get an E for effort."
Opponent Dialogue
Mirror match "Nice effort, good-lookin'. With a face and a bod like that, you'll be back on your feet in no time. Just keep at it!"
Gran "Uh-oh! Already down for the count? Well, I'm always here if you ever want to play with me again... Just come on over anytime you're in the mood."
Djeeta "Phew, that was fun! I haven't had a chance to cut loose like that in a while. Wanna grab a bite to eat? I really worked up an appetite!"
Katalina "Not bad... You're quite the fighter, Katalina! You know, it does feel pretty good to get a little serious every now and then!"
Charlotta "Stay pure and righteous if you want, but you're not gonna twist 'em round your finger without experience. I mean... if you want, I could show you around."
Lancelot "You know... You're a lot tougher than you look, Sir Honor Roll. Maybe I shouldn't have taken you so lightly."
Percival "Hmm... You're quite the hottie. Shame you're not my type though. I bet the girls would never leave you alone if you'd soften up a bit."
Ladiva "So the most charming duelists win, you say? Maybe I'll give the Jewel Resort a go, because that sounds perfect for me."
Lowain "You know, I'm feeling a little parched. Why don't you boys grab me something nice to drink? Chop, chop!"
Ferry "Say, Ferry... Mind if I try out your whip? You crack it like this, right? Wait, the other way? Geez, don't be so picky."
Zeta "You're quite fit yourself, girl. I bet you've seen your share of the battlefield. Anyways, the... Society, was it? Any hunks there? You've gotta introduce me sometime!"
Vaseraga "I win! You know what that means, big guy... Face reveal! Let's see what you're like underneath the mask... The loser can't refuse the winner, right?"
Narmaya "I guess there really are other geniuses out there if you look... Maybe I could learn a thing or two from you."
Soriz "As a lady, I can't condone your behavior, you dirty old man... Although I do sympathize with your desires."
Zooey "You know, some guys are super into the sheltered type who needs protection... But a primal beast like you doesn't need that, right?"
Cagliostro "Hold on a minute. Can alchemy get rid of wrinkles and blemishes and stuff? There might be something to it, then. Hmm... Maybe I'll sign up for a course."
Yuel "Ancient tradition? Sorry, not my style. I couldn't care less about what a bunch of old fuddy-duddies used to do. Though you do put on one hell of a show—I'll give you that."
Anre "I did it! Sometimes my own genius terrifies me! Oh, and on second thought, I don't think I'll be joining the Eternals after all. You see, this graceful bow master works alone."
Eustace "You ever want a rematch, give me a call, okay? Always happy to make sparks fly with a hunk like you."
Seox "You're trembling like a leaf. Gosh, you're so cute I could eat you up. Hah! Oh, and got your mask. Think I'll keep it as a war trophy."
Vira "How do you stay so elegant while fighting? I'll bet you've got all kinds of boys and girls head over heels for you. Not that you'd care, of course. Good luck with that sweetheart of yours!"
Anila "Say, are there any hunks among the Divine Generals? Either active or retired—I'm not picky about age if the face is right."
Siegfried "Look at you. We went all out and you've hardly broken a sweat. If you've still got the stamina, I can go another round. What do you say, big boy?"
Grimnir "Normally I like my men how I like my coffee: hot and silent. But there is something to be said for your boyish charms."
Nier "Looking for love, eh? Aren't we all. Look, I'll be the first to admit that I've had a charmed life—everything just came so easily. But you've got what it takes; all you need is practice. Give yourself some credit, hmm?"
Beelzebub "Ahh, nothin' better than cutting another wannabe down to size. Nooow, to make sure you've really learned your lesson..."
Belial "Sorry, I thought you were supposed to be perfect. More like impotent. Have any other moves you wanna try out? No? Didn't think so."
Avatar Belial
Lucilius "Getting real sick of guys who think good looks are a free pass to do anything. Next!"
2B "Wait, so you really are a doll then? I thought your looks were a little too good to be true. Mind taking off that blindfold? I'd love to get a... closer look at you."
Vane "Think you could sneak me into the White Dragons without your Lancey noticing? Ugh, what do you mean there's paperwork? What a turnoff."

Metera has an alternate variation of the Default skin that is closer to the original mobile game design.

This skin has exactly the same set of color variations as the 'Default' skin, but has some model changes that reveal more skin.

  • It is accessed by going to "Options" in the main menu, then "System Settings", then changing "Character Design" to "Original".
  • This skin is not selectable when picking a character. It instead replaces the Default skin's appearance so long as the "Character Design" option has been changed.
  • When "Character Design" is changed to Original, this affects all characters with this skin variation system. You cannot have the more-revealing variant on one character and the standard GBVS design on another at the same time.
  • This skin variation is local-only. Changing the option will only affect what the local player sees and not what any online opponents see.

Changes for this skin include:

  • Metera's top has the back straps removed.
  • Metera's shorts change to a combination piece with a g-string style front and cheek-revealing frills in the back.
