Visitor from Albion
Tyre has come seeking out Vira, his hero and object of adoration. He wishes to find out what changed her and asks to join (Captain)'s crew to find out.
(Captain) and company stop by an island late one night and decide to take a well-deserved rest aboard the Grandcypher.
The next day (Captain) steps onto the deck and hears a lively voice calling toward the ship.
???: Ahoy!
Lyria: Oh, looks like we have a visitor. Hello there! Can we help you?
(Captain) lets the visitor onto the ship.
Tyre: Pardon the intrusion! Tyre of the Albion Military Academy at your service!
Lyria: Albion Academy? Oh! That's the academy Katalina went to!
Vyrn: Ohh, I get it! You must be here to see Katalina! Sorry to break it to you, but you just missed her. She went out to town in the morning.
Tyre: Actually, I regret to say that I have never met Katalina! I entered the academy after her graduation!
Vyrn: Oh. What do you want with us then?
Tyre: W-well... Albion's former Lord Commander... Vi... V-V-Viii...
Tyre: Argh! I can't say it! My lips aren't worthy!
Lyria: U-um, did you come to see Vira?
Vyrn: Hmmm. Well, Vira said she went with Katalina to help her with stuff.
Vyrn: Aw man... She dropped by earlier but she's with Katalina right now.
Tyre: Sh-sh-she was here? I-I might just get a glimpse of her today—No! Impure thoughts begone!
Lyria: Oh my gosh! M-Mr. Tyre person? Are you okay? D-did you just punch yourself?
Tyre: My apologies! I couldn't let myself get away with such heinous ruminations!
Lyria: R-rooming... nations?
Tyre: Indeed!
Vyrn: Um, okay... So uh, Clefty, what're you doing here again?
Tyre: Ah! This may be a touch long-winded, but allow me to explain!
Tyre: I was enrolled into the academy according to my parents' wishes. But on the day of the entrance ceremony...
Tyre: That's when I first saw her.
Tyre: Noble, gracious, radiantly elegant... I knew from the moment I laid eyes on her that she was more than worthy to be Lord Commander.
Vyrn: (Psst... I think he's got the wrong Vira.)
Lyria: (Shh! Listen to what he has to say!)
Tyre: She was beloved by the student body, but there was an air of unapproachability about her.
Tyre: Then you and your crew came to Albion, and she retired from her position soon after.
Tyre: I caught a glimpse of her by the port on the day she was leaving. She seemed... different somehow.
Tyre: I wanted to find out how a single person could bring about such a change in her.
Tyre: I just had to know. That's what brought me here to this ship.
Lyria: I see!
Tyre: (Captain)! If I may be so bold as to make a request!
Tyre: Please, allow me to join your crew! I don't care what I have to do to earn my keep. I'll do whatever odd jobs you may have!
- I guess that's fine...
- Why?
Choose: I guess that's fine...Tyre: Thank you! I promise I shall not disappoint! Leave all the menial duties to me!
Vyrn: Wait, you're seriously asking us for chores to do?
Tyre: I'm a complete novice at being a skyfarer! I don't see why a greenhorn shouldn't start at the bottom and work his way up!
Choose: Why?Tyre: I... I too want to discover what she found in you, (Captain)!
Tyre: Please, (Captain), allow me to join you on your journey!
Tyre imploringly prostrates himself before the crew, his head reaching the floor.
Lyria: T-Tyre! Get up! You don't have to go that far!
Moved by Tyre's enthusiasm and persistence, (Captain) agrees to make him one of the crew.
Tyre: Thank you, (Captain)!
Continue 1Tyre: I await your orders!
Lyria: Ah! How about we swab the decks together, Tyre!
Tyre: Yes, ma'am! I look forward to your tutelage!
Tyre marches off behind Lyria to fulfill his duties.
Vyrn: Geez. Quite the character, ain't he? A little nutty, but he seems like a stand up guy.
Vyrn: Hm? Didn't he say he was a student at the academy? Isn't he skippin' out on classes?
Vyrn and (Captain) tilt their heads in puzzlement.
Whatever the case, (Captain) and company have gained an enthusiastic new comrade this day.
Respect or Love
Some time passes after Tyre joins the crew, but every time he runs into Vira he gets cold feet and clams up. Farrah and Lowain observe the encounter from afar and realize this might be their chance to finally pry Vira away from Katalina.
Some time has passed since Tyre joined the crew.
Today, just like any other day, Tyre is hard at work fulfilling his duties.
Tyre: Deck swabbing complete! Now let's see, what's next...
Tyre: Eep!
Vira: Huh? What's your problem?
Tyre: M-m-my apologies! Pardon me!

Farrah: Poor little thing. He's never going to look up to Vira again after he finds out what she's really like.
Farrah: Sigh. I come to visit Katalina, and this happens...
Farrah: Hmm. Tyre sure does look up to Vira.
Lowain: What? Farrah. Dudette. You gotta be kidding me. I wouldn't call that lookin' up to her.
Farrah: Huh? What would you call it, then?
Lowain: Duuude! That's love, man! Our little boy's crushin' on her hard!
Farrah: Wha! In love? With who? Vira?
Lowain: Plain as day, compadre. Trust me, I've been there.
Lowain: But hold up! If Tyre and Vira are a thing... Guess what happens?
Farrah: Oh! Then Vira will spend less time hogging Katalina!

Farrah: I like where this is going! Okay, now where should we start...
Lowain: Just imagine. You drop by for some mucho needed Katalina time, and there's no Vira in sight. The future is bright my friend.
Farrah: I like where this is going! Okay, now where should we start...
Lowain: Aw right! It's shipping time! Operation: Tye the Knot is go!
Lowain and Farrah continue to whisper in glee in a corner of the ship.
Tyre: Look out!
Lowain: Oof!
Tyre suddenly tackles Lowain, sending him flying.
Lowain: Hey, man! What's the big idea?
Tyre: I'm sorry! But this is an emergency!
Monster: Grrrrr!
Farrah: M-monsters!
Tyre: It looks like the ship's crossed paths with a swarm of monsters! We have to fight them off!
(Captain) runs to the deck to aid in the fight.
Respect or Love: Scene 2
In the midst of battle, Tyre is reprimanded by Vira. Lowain consoles a disheartened Tyre, and before long the two find themselves lost in their own world of fantasy.
(Captain) and company struggle against the horde of monsters.
Monsters: Groooooar!
Tyre: Ngh! They just keep coming!
Vira: Look out behind you!
Tyre: Ah!
Heeding Vira's warning, Tyre turns around to defend himself from a monster's strike.
Tyre: Thank you! I am in your debt!
Vira: It's nothing. Don't let your guard down next time.
Tyre: Yes, ma'am! My apologies!
Tyre regains his composure, and the tide of the battle starts to turn in the crew's favor. They soon succeed in exterminating the monsters.
Farrah: We did it! I thought we were never going to get rid of those pesky—hm?
Tyre: Sigh...
Farrah: Wh-what's wrong, Tyre? You seem really down all of a sudden.
Lowain: I know that feel, bro.
Tyre: Lowain?
Lowain: When I mess up in front of Kat, I get majorly down. Like I'm talking epic level buzzkills here.
Tyre: Thank you, Lowain. It's good to know someone understands.
Farrah: Tyre... You understood that?
Tyre: Sigh, I can't seem to be anything but a failure in front of the person I adore...
Tyre: I won't be so presumptuous as to try to get close to her, but at the very least—
Lowain: Aww yeah, man. You wanna show that special someone your good side, don't 'cha?
Lowain: Like...
Katalina: Nghh... They've got us cornered!
Vira: Katalina! A new wave is on its way!
Katalina: What! Already? (Captain) is badly hurt. At this rate...
Lowain: Heh, looks like it's my time to shine.
Lowain: Kat! I'll hold the enemy back!
Katalina: L-Lowain? That's insane! You can't possibly stop an army like that all by yourself!
Tyre: Then allow me to help! I'll be right beside you, Lowain!
Vira: Don't do this... Don't you realize it's suicide?
Lowain: Hah! Oooh, what's that, Vira? I never knew how much you cared!
Tyre: Vira... Just hearing you say that has made this life worth living! Trust that I'll protect you with all the life I have left!
Vira: ...!
Fools... The both of you...
Katalina: Lowain, Tyre.... I'm sorry... Vira and I will never forget your sacrifice.
Lowain: Save your thanks for after the party, Kat!
Tyre: Indeed! We're not going down that easy!
Katalina: Understood. We will meet again!
Vira: Katalina!
Katalina: Let's go, Vira. We can't let their efforts be in vain!
Katalina retreats from battle with Vira and the injured (Captain).
Tyre: I wish you only the very best, Vira!
Monster: Grrrrrr!
Lowain: Geez... These guys just don't know when to give up, do they? C'mon, Ty! Let's show 'em who's boss!
Tyre: Agreed! For our comrades... and for Vira!
Respect or Love: Scene 3
Vira runs into Farrah and the boys, and Farrah asks her what she thinks of Tyre. Vira simply seems indifferent to him and questions the path he's chosen.
Tyre: Absolutely superb!
Lowain: Bwahaha! Those were some pretty sweet lines, Ty-Meister!
Tyre: While I entered the academy on my parent's wishes, I'd be lying if I said I didn't go in with a few heroic aspirations of my own.
Lowain: No kidding! Then how about this!
The two begin another one of their fantasies. Farrah sighs as she looks on at them.
Farrah: Urgh. Boys are so dumb. Hm?
Vira: Hmm... What are you three doing cooped up here?
Farrah: Oh, uh... Nothing. Nothing at all.
Farrah: By the way, Vira... What do you think of Tyre?
Vira: What do I think? He may be my junior at the academy, but I can't really form an opinion of someone I've barely met.
Vira: I guess if I do have to say something, it's that I wonder what sort of person would abandon his studies to come here.
With that, Vira turns around and leaves.
Farrah: Hmm... Regardless of how he feels about her, he's going to have a hard time getting on her good side.
Tyre: And with my trusty sword in hand, I crash down from the roof with breathtaking bravado!
Lowain: Whoa! That's totally wicked! Dude, if that were me—
Farrah: Sigh...
Will Tyre's feelings ever reach the heights of the former Lord Commander of Albion?
Though it seems doubtful that distant day will ever come, who can say what the future might hold?
Wassup, Little Boss!
Unaware that Vyrn was only joking about Yaia, Tyre begins treating her as a superior. When Yaia vanishes one night, Tyre tracks her to some nearby mountains, where she gives him some flowers to thank him for always being with her.
???: Hur-hnng! Hyaaah!
Tyre is once again excitedly swabbing the Grandcypher's deck this morning.
Vyrn: Phew... You really are a morning person, eh, Clefty?
Lyria: Hee-hee. Let's help him out with the cleaning!
Lyria and Vyrn grab a couple of rags hanging on a nearby bucket to help him, but he stops them.
Tyre: Whoa there! Hold it! Leave the deck swabbing to me! Chores are my job after all!
Lyria: But you should let us help once in a while. It's really too much for just one per—
Tyre: Don't be silly. As young as I am, it's only natural that I do some work! You guys head back to your rooms and kick back!
Vyrn: Heh-heh, thanks.
Well, Lyria, you heard Clefty. Let's just leave him to it!
As (Captain) and the others get ready to head back to their rooms as Tyre suggests, Yaia briskly walks on to the deck.
Yaia: Hey, Lyria! After we eat something, you wanna go shopping?
Lyria: Sure! We need to pick up some food after all.
Vyrn: Yeah, and we should go pick up some apples while we're at it!
Tyre: Excuse me, everyone...
Tyre stops what he's doing as he mutters the words, and he stares at Yaia.
Vyrn: Huh? What's up? You look like you've seen a ghost.
Tyre: Um... What's this little girl doing here?
Vyrn: Wha? Oh, did we forget to introduce her?
Lyria: I guess she could have been taking a nap at the time.
Vyrn: Well then, this girl's name is—
Yaia: Tee-hee! I'm Yaia!
Tyre: Hey! I'm Tyre. It's a pleasure to meet you!
Tyre grins broadly as he introduces himself. Vyrn looks at Tyre mischievously.
Vyrn: Heh-heh. You know, Yaia joined our crew first, so she actually has seniority over you!
Tyre: Oh? Y-you're absolutely right!
Yaia: Yay! I've got seniority over you, Tyre!
Tyre: (Regardless of how young she is, she's right when it comes to this crew! I'd better treat her accordingly!)
Tyre: Yes, ma'am! I look forward to the opportunity to learn everything I can from you!
Yaia: Ha-ha! I'll do my best!
Thus Tyre ends up viewing Yaia as his superior.
Yaia takes a liking to Tyre...
And the two are always together when they go shopping or cook. They gradually get to know each other better.
One day when Tyre is out shopping with Yaia, he suddenly stops in front of a flower shop.
Tyre: ...!
(What lovely flowers! They'd be just the thing for her!)
Tyre: Um... If you wouldn't mind, please take these flowers as a token of my esteem!
Vira: Hee-hee... Thank you, Tyre.
Tyre: Oh... I'm so... I'm so ridiculously happy right now!
Vira: Oh? What happened all of a sudden, Ty?
Tyre: Wow... I can't believe you just called me Ty! I really couldn't be happier!
Though lost in the joy of the moment, Tyre snaps out of his reverie when he feels Yaia tugging on his arm.
Tyre: Apologies, ma'am!
Yaia: What's the matter, Ty? Don't you know everyone will worry about us if we don't hurry back?
Tyre: Oh, you're right! Sorry for zoning out like that in front of you! Forgive me!
Yaia: Huh?
Later that night...
Yaia: All right... Time to go!
Yaia thinks of something while reading a book, and she bursts out of her room.
Meanwhile Tyre, who has promised to cook with her, is waiting for her in the ship's mess hall.
Tyre: Hmm... I wonder what's keeping Yaia. She's normally on time for stuff like this.
Concerned about his young friend, Tyre visits her room, but no one's there. He immediately starts walking around the ship in search of her.
Tyre: Oh dear... Where could she have gone?
Lyria: Oh? What's wrong, Tyre?
Tyre: It's Yaia... I promised to cook with her, but I can't find her anywhere.
Vyrn: Hmm... Then I guess it's possible that she left the ship for some reason.
Tyre: Oh no... But there are monsters around here at night! I need to go find her!
Vyrn: H-hey! Hold up!
Man, he already took off. We better split up and help him search!
Lyria: Come on, (Captain)!
Tyre: Huff... Huff... Yaia! Yaiaaa! Damn... She's not around here either.
The worried Tyre races through the streets, searching everywhere he can think of, but Yaia is nowhere to be found.
And then he remembers something that happened earlier that day.
Tyre: Oh, you're right! Sorry for zoning out like that in front of you! Forgive me!
Yaia: Huh?
Tyre: Come to think of it, I seem to recall Yaia staring at the flowers right then.
Something about what happened bothers him, and he turns and runs to the flower shop.
Tyre: Excuse me!
Flower Seller: Huh? Oh, you're the gentleman from earlier.
Tyre: Um... Did a little girl stop by here today?
Flower Seller: Yes, just a little while ago... She had a reference book with her, and she wanted to know where a certain flower in it is in bloom.
Tyre: Wha? A reference book?
Flower Seller: Yes. So I told her that the flower's in bloom in the mountains behind my shop.
Tyre: Thank you so much!
Armed with new knowledge, Tyre runs off towards the mountains behind the shop.
Tyre: Huff... Huff... Yaia! If you can hear me, say something! Yaia!
Tyre desperately hollers as he continues searching the mountains.
After what seems like an eternity, he at last finds Yaia happily picking flowers on the mountainside.
Though he's relieved to find her, he quickly puts on a stern expression and runs up to her.
Tyre: Huff... Huff... Yaia! I'm so glad you're safe!
Tyre: But I'd really appreciate it if you would please let me know in advance from now on when you plan on breaking an appointment!
Tyre: I was so worried when you suddenly disappeared!
Yaia: I'm sorry...
Tyre: Well, as long as you understand, everything's fine... I apologize for raising my voice like that!
Yaia: No biggie. More importantly... Here.
Yaia gently hands the flowers she just picked to Tyre.
Tyre: Huh? What are these for?
Yaia: Heh-heh... Well, you like flowers, don't you?
Yaia: So I used a reference book to pick out some flowers that would suit you.
Yaia: Ha-ha. Thanks for always being with me, Ty. Those are just a little reward.
Tyre: Oh... Oh, Yaia... Thank you so much!
Regardless of the gap in their age and the fact that the young Yaia has seniority over Tyre, the warm sense of camaraderie between them is real.
Their adventure on the mountain strengthens their relationship even more.
