Reduce
Reduce is the ability to break down a SR or SSR weapon or summon into materials. The option to reduce an item can be found from the Inventory status screen for that item. Items that are currently equipped to a party or that have been favorited cannot be reduced; remove the item from all parties and unfavorite it in order to see the Reduce button.
Weapons reduce into weapon stones corresponding to the weapon type, and high orbs and whorls that correspond to the weapon's element. Summons reduce into elemental quartz corresponding to the summon's element as well as various tiers of prisms. Farmable items such as raid drops and event rewards will reduce into fewer items than items obtained via Premium Draws. Items obtained from the Casino count as Premium for the purposes of reduction. Additionally, weapons with multiple upgrade stages have varying reduction payouts.
Player elemental skill mastery will increase the number of materials received from Reduce for premium SSR items.
Uncapped items have the equivalent yield of reducing multiples of the same item; in other words, reducing 2 0★ SSR weapons gives you the same number of weapon stones, orbs, and whorls as reducing 1 of the same SSR weapon as a 1★. However, the elemental skill mastery bonus is solely per item, so, if you have a high enough skill to receive a bonus, you would receive more items from two 0★ items than the equivalent 1★ item. As a notable exception, Normal Showdown Summons use relatively inexpensive 4★ uncap materials (most notably no Elemental Quartz), which means it is possible to reduce them for the equivalent of 5 copies at the cost of only 4, and earns you an extra 14 Quartz over reducing each copy individually with the best possible elemental skill bonus.
Weapon skill level have no effect on the result.

Reduction Advice
Before reducing anything, consider the Elemental Quartz and Weapon Stones available from the Pendant Shop.
Also note that it is essentially never recommended to reduce SSR Premium Draw items.
- Quartz and Weapon Stones are relatively easy to acquire from Farmable sources
- Even the most niche or dubious Weapon or Summon could find a use or be specifically required for reduction in a future update.
- eg.Optimus Anima
- eg.
Summons
- Farmable SR Summon:
- Omega Series- Always farmable and safe to reduce once you have anything better, eg. the very accessible Dark Flame Scion
- Belle Sylphid - Keep one fully uncapped copy to ease farming rare monsters for achievements and certain rare weapons/materials.
- White Rabbit and/or Black Rabbit - Keep one fully uncapped copy for farming purposes.
- Premium SR Summon:
- Carbuncle Series - Do not reduce until you have multiple (3+) fully-uncapped copies.
- Other SR - Safe to reduce for both Quartz and Prisms.
- Non-Premium Draw SSR Summon:
- Omega Series SSR - Always farmable, and thus safe to reduce after obtaining a fully uncapped copy.
- Normal Showdown - Always farmable, and thus safe to reduce once you have anything better.
- Xeno Summons - Technically farmable during clash events, but expensive and rare enough that they should not be reduced unless multiple 4★ are already obtained.
- Side Story - Cannot be farmed, but two fully uncapped copies are available from each Side Story. Be wary of reducing either, and never reduce both.
- Event - Temporarily farmable (during event), but irreplaceable after event ends (until rerun or Side Story). Consider carefully before reducing.
- Demi Optimus Series - Keep until you acquire the equivalent Premium Draw version (Optimus Series). Can then be reduced to reclaim any Sunstone(s) invested.
- Premium SSR Summon: Tread carefully!
- Due to the difficulty, cost, and unreliability of acquiring or re-acquiring Premium Draw summons, it is essentially never recommended to reduce them. Summons have gone from useless to meta through uncaps or balance updates in the past, many useful summons benefit from possessing multiple fully uncapped copies (thus 8-20 individual copies), and some summons have even had their reduction materials changed to become more valuable, such as the Optimus Series. Ultimately, the risk of a surprise update is almost never worth 200 quartz unless you have a truly ridiculous number of extra copies.
- Some premium summons have a buff mechanic that only triggers when in the Main Summon slot. Examples include Setekh, Tezcatlipoca, Aphrodite, Bonito, and Nacht. These summons are less bad to reduce than other Premium summons (once one 4★ is obtained), but hasty reduction of these is still not a good idea.
- Never, EVER reduce unticketable/unsparkable summons such as the Providence Series,Primarch Series, etc.
- Due to the difficulty, cost, and unreliability of acquiring or re-acquiring Premium Draw summons, it is essentially never recommended to reduce them. Summons have gone from useless to meta through uncaps or balance updates in the past, many useful summons benefit from possessing multiple fully uncapped copies (thus 8-20 individual copies), and some summons have even had their reduction materials changed to become more valuable, such as the
Weapons
- Farmable SR Weapon, eg. SR Omega Weapons orSR Showdown Weapons
- Better Reserved for skill fodder, but acceptable to reduce for a few stones in a pinch.
- Premium SR Weapon
- Recommended source of stones!
- Safe to reduce and easily acquired while Sparking or during special events with many free Premium Draws.
- (The weapon skin remains unlocked)
- Rusted Weapons
- An absurd number of these are needed for Uncapping Eternals
- Do not reduce them and consider purchasing a Stash or two to keep them until you need them.
- Farmable SSR Weapon:
- Omega Weapons
- Colossus Cane Omega
- Colossus Blade Omega
- Colossus Fist Omega
- Leviathan Gaze Omega
- Leviathan Scepter Omega
- Leviathan Spear Omega
- Yggdrasil Crystal Blade Omega
- Yggdrasil Dewbranch Omega
- Yggdrasil Bow Omega
- Tiamat Bolt Omega
- Tiamat Amood Omega
- Tiamat Gauntlet Omega
- Luminiera Sword Omega
- Luminiera Bhuj Omega
- Luminiera Harp Omega
- Celeste Claw Omega
- Celeste Zaghnal Omega
- Celeste Horn Omega
- Afterwards, these will be your primary source of both Weapon Stones (Reduce) and Skill Fodder (Reserve)
- Farming Omega weapons is preferable to almost any other source of Weapon Stones in the game. If considering reducing another weapon, you should probably reconsider it and just farm more Omega weapons instead.
- Extremely easy and plentiful to farm from daily Omega Raids, Arcarum, Replicard Sandbox.
- Copies with desirable AX skills should Inherit instead.
- Sephira Weapons - Always farmable and thus fairly safe to reduce. Once Replicard Sandbox is opened, Sephira Weapons can be farmed en-masse as an alternative to Omega weapons.
- 1-2 fully uncapped copies should be kept for utilization in Extra grids.
- Showdown SSR Weapons - Always farmable, but at a low rate of return for the time involved.
- Regalia Weapons - Technically farmable, but are useful and rare enough that reducing them is not a good idea until you have many fully uncapped copies of each.
- Olden Primal, Primal - Similar to the Regalia weapons, though farmable it is generally not a good idea to reduce them until you have many fully uncapped copies.
- Epic Weapons - Farmable, but different weapons have different numbers of copies that should be kept before reduction is OK.
- Scales of Dominion and All-Might Battle-Axe can be reduced after a single 4★ copy is obtained.
- Weapons with the Grand Epic skill are generally only useful up until a maximum of 5 4★ copies, and most only use a maximum of 4.
- Other weapons should generally be kept instead of reduced due to the low rates of accquistion.
- Beast Weapons - Vary in value depending on the type
- Flohrenberk, Anemoi Silver Lyre, Broadsword of Earth, Septian Burner, Neptune's Trident - The weapon skills cannot stack and thus they should be reduced after one fully uncapped copy of each is obtained.
- Ray of Zhuque, Xuanwu Mace, Baihu Claw, Qinglong Spear and derivatives - In general, should not be reduced.
- Xeno Weapons - Rare and valuable, and cannot easily be farmed (except during their events). In general, should not be reduced, unless you have huge excesses from farming AX skills during their events.
- Side Story - Though most have little use, they can never be replaced and some have niche use (eg. Balmung). Many are "MC Only" weapons (see below).
- Event - Temporarily farmable (during event), but irreplaceable after event ends (until a rerun or the event becomes a Side Story). Many are "MC Only" weapons (see below).
- Revenant Weapons - Should only be reduced at specific Stages to obtain Revenant Weapon Fragments and Pure Weapon Souls for Uncapping Eternals, Weapons of Eternal Splendor and the Path to Supremacy.
- Reduce the weapons immediately after changing their element to obtain 5 Revenant Weapon Fragments
- Reduce the weapons in their final finished form to obtain 50 Revenant Weapon Fragments and a Pure Weapon Soul
- Any other stage is a waste of resources.
- This process does yield quite a few Weapon Stones, however. Something to keep in mind for planning/calculation.
- Otherwise, keep loose copies in a Stash until they can be forged to one of those two points.
- Atma Weapons and Ultima Weapons - Should only ever be reduced to reclaim Ultima Core(s).
- Cosmos Weapons - Only one of each type is needed. Additional copies should be reduced for Azure Feathers and some weapon stones.
- Vintage Weapons and Superlative Weapons - Rare and expensive, should never be reduced.
- Premium SSR Weapons:
- Due to the relative triviality of farming 200 stones and the potential for future updates to improve currently weak weapons (eg. Taisai Spirit Bow was buffed outright), Premium Draw weapons and Trade Moon Weapons should generally never be reduced.
- "MC Only" weapons
- Several weapons have weapon skills that only trigger when used as a main weapon. (This is denoted with an "MC Only" tag in the weapon skill.) These weapons are in general considerably less valuable after the first fully uncapped copy has been obtained. Extra copies of Event and Side Story weapons with an MC Only tag are generally safe to reduce. Premium Weapons with this tag are less terrible to reduce (but in general should still be kept).
In-game Help
